@CarvedLLC cases will protect your phone in a stylish and unique way. #Cases #Review #Giveaway

In our modern world, manufactures keep working on making devices more eye-catching and attractive each time, as an example we have Apple with their increasingly  thinner new iPhones or Samsung with their updated Curved Glass and Metal flagships.

But then we put  a usually not so attractive case on them to protect them from falls and scratches, which is good, but as result we lost the precious look OEMs worked so hard to craft.

Let’s change that by adding a unique handcrafted case and a design that will make your phone look even better with the added protection.

Carved Cases

1 / 14

Carved is an US-based company that makes real wood (literal real) cases and skins for iPhone, Galaxy and Nexus devices.

With different models to choose from, like:

Slim

A “snap on” case with a real wood back and polycarbonate at the sides to assure drop protection while keeping the natural look of the phone.

Traveler

With a similar “snap on” design as before the Traveler cases add an extra layer of protection changing the slim style look for a “Rubber Bumper” cover that goes around the sides, giving the phone a bit of bulk but providing more coverage against drops than its predecessor.

Wood Skins

As the name implies there’s no “case” this time, but a laser cut and engraved wood vinyl for the back of your device (These are iPhone 4 or newer versions only)

Solid Wood Cases

Every piece is carefully selected from wood that is usually overlooked or thrown away. The cracks, knots and burls are where we find our most dramatic patterns and colors. Our unique hardening process creates an extremely strong, durable block that is precision machined into your next iPhone case.

These cases are one solid piece that will transform your phone into an art statement. With solid metal buttons and an open bottom to easy access your charging port and 3.5 jack; you will not find any extra cutouts on this beauty. (unfortunately for Android users, this model is also iPhone only)

Their cases come in a huge variety of designs, going from popular images to custom-made draws added by famous artists or if you prefer even your own design.

Made by Georgia based illustrator, Katy Lipscomb, the artwork is printed on real maple wood, you’ll find more of her gorgeous work over Carved website

Also there’s the Special Edition:

Seaside Collection

Featuring the natural beauty of a real shell inlay. The artwork is inlaid on a Veneered MDF sheet of genuine wood, laser cut and finished by hand.

The guys at Carved were kind enough to provide us with two cases to review and also for a GIVEAWAY, so take a look at the video below to know more about them.

One for the Ladies, Samsung just unveiled a new “Pink Gold” #GalaxyS7 exclusively at BestBuy. #Android #Samsung

Although Samsung announced the Note7 recently, the S line up is not to be forgotten as they just got a new family member.

A Pink Gold coloured version

Maybe the photo doesn’t  let you really appreciate the theme on this variant for it’s  way more impressive live.

The only downside, as far as now you can have this phone in the US only thanks to a BestBuy deal. The good side is the fact there’s a model for each carrier including Verizon wireless.

Adding new colors at this time probably is their way to boost S7 sales now the Note7 is in town.

But to be honest, I’d have jumped  right on  was the beautiful Emerald Green color they have for the S6 edge.

But let us know, Would import this version if not available elsewhere? Or if you are in the States, will you get one for that special lady? Sound off below or join the twitter conversation

Sony announces the update route for their phones. #Android #Nougat #Update #Xperia

Just a few days ago, we read about the public release of a consumer ready Android 7.0 Nougat for the masses. But although this is great news, the well known Android update stress began.

But amongst  all that chaos, there are some OEMs that have served  well their customers when it comes to OS updates, one of them is Sony who just anounced which devices will be updated first.

Xperia Z3+
Z4 Tablet
Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium
Xperia X, XA, XA Ultra and X Performance

These devices were the ovious choices as actual or former flagships, but something that caught our attention was the ommision of the regular Xperia Z3 as the company let users installed an early version of the OS.

As it has happen before, probably this first list of phones will be updated later with new additions like the M or C series of phones released on 2015.

But what do you think about this? What are your most expected features of this update? Let us know in the comment section below.

Stay tuned for more info about this update.

This HP backpack is all you need to save your gadgets life. #HP #Powerbank

If something has changed since the inclusion of smartphones in our life, is how important wall outlets have become.

Therefore, the need for power banks is common but sometimes its just harder to find them in local stores. Thinking about it, HP came out the idea of turning the battery into a full backpack.

HP Powerup Backpack

The idea comes in handy when you paired with a generous capacity. Included is a 22400 mAh power bank that can charge smartphones, tablets and even laptops.

As far as they don’t use USB Type-C, everything should be fine. But the novelties don’t stop there, there’s also a “heat sensor” that will automatically adjust the temperature.

The Power up comes with a wide variety of charging cables but Type-C or any proprietary charging method, albeit with an adapter you should be ready to go. The Laptop charger works for most HP laptops (as you could expect) but also works for those that use 4.5mm or 7.4mm barrel connectors.

The Power bank comes with USB 2.0 and USB 2.4 and 19V outputs to have you covered.

The material seems to be very durable and is said to withstand some rain, but in case the sky in falling over you, there’s a rain cover include in the box.

But lets take a look:

Unfortunately is not yet available, but it will be on September 14th, you pre-order yours via Amazon, but with a price tag of $199.99 is not precisely “cheap”.

You can get one HERE

The LG V20 will be loved by audiophiles thanks to a Quad DAC system. #LG #LGV20 #Android

In case you missed it, LG is going to unveil the V10 successor in an event in San Francisco on September 6th.

The V10 was LG flagship until the G5 came out, despite the low sales, the company is aiming a hit with this gadget.

The V10 was an already excellent device and recently was updated to Marshmallow. With a build-in 32-BIT HI-FI DAC the audio quality of this phone was the best of 2015, but this time, the revamp model will come with a quad arrangement that promise to produce 50% less ambient noise that’s comparable to a “Live Performance“.

The company behind this technology will be ESS Technology, the same who brought the outstanding sound to the V10.

Here’s what Juno Cho, LG’s president thinks about it:

As smartphones mature, we’re seeing more and more customers looking beyond just fast processors and big displays in their devices,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company. “Higher quality audio is simply the natural evolution of the smartphone, as the industry moves toward a more holistic multimedia consumption experience. We’re pleased to continue this long-term partnership with ESS and bring best in class audio to LG V20 users.

The V20 is said to sport the same dual selfie cameras at the front, and well the secondary display found on its predecessor. An improved rear camera, SD 820 and 4GB of RAM among other interesting things.

Another important feature to have in mind is the premier release of Android 7.o Nougat, LG already confirmed that the phone will come with the latest version of Android right out of the box.

What do you think about this? Will you be getting the new LG flagship? I would if I can!

AS you can see, they bring back the NFC support for this version, which is great, but they also confirmed already that they will not be offering a OnePlus X 2 as the company want to focus on flagship devices like when it started.

Another killer feature of these devices is the insane amount of RAM you have now, 6GB of RAM to move everything around.

The only “downside” you could find its the 1080p screen for a 5.5″ device on 2016, but in reality you’ll not see any difference unless you compare it directly to an S7 side by side.

What still remains to be seen if the 3000mAh battery will be enough  or even better due to the lower resolution screen, what could help a little is the fast charging capabilities, giving you 6h of use with just 30min charge.

Another great feature of the OnePlus 3 lies on its super customizable nature, you minimum knowledge you can easily slap a custom ROM on it and make it look exactly the way you want.

At the beginning we told you that now the device just have two color options, but now all those lovable back cover of the OnePlus 2 are now cases that you can use depending on the occasion.

All that for $399 is not a bad deal at all, the best part? They finally get rid of the “invite system” so you can get right now if you want to.

But let us know, Would you get one? Do you have one already? What are your thoughts on this 6GB monster? Sound off in the comment section below or join the conversation on twitter.
