Review – The Bakeey T10B TWS True Wireless earbuds. #TrueWireless #Tech #Banggood

Banngood have sent us these new true wireless which will run you around €28 which is not bad from the performance I have got from them,If you like bass heavy earbuds there are one to look at for sure. There is one or two shortcomings but we will see more later.

These come in a nice charge case with a digital cluster on top to show you your battery level, I like this idea and it is starting to come on to many models these days. You will get around 150hrs in total from one charge and this case can also charge your phone and it also acts as mobile stand, see this in the video.

The sound quality is excellent considering the price and if you like bass these come with it and I love it, there is no app and there is no need for one the sound on these is well balanced across the board but with that extra bass and I like this effect personally but overall I was impressed with the sound quality and from my usual playlist I was happy with the balance, Call quality is great and comes through on both sides and they even call out the number when it is ringing, again I like this feature.

You have your usual assistant on deck you can skip, reverse, play, pause, answer and hang up on the keys, there is no volume control however but this is something we see quite often and does not really bother me as most use their smartphone to change volume anyway. The only other issue I found is they will not work on their own so if one is in the case they power off,If left out of the case they work individually, again not a huge deal for me but for others to think about, they fall short in one or two areas but rise to the challenge elsewhere.

Review – The EOZ AUDIO “ICON” True Wireless earbuds. #EOZ #ICON #Tech #Audio

The EOZ Audio ICON are the latest on offer from the company which have told me they have worked hard on to create this new product and the question you ask is have they done so. For the price segment and the features on offer they have certainly done it for me in all areas but there is one or two things that could be changed going forward and this not only applies to these.

They come with everything out of the box with USB-C charging which for many today is perfect and forward thinking, they have Bluetooth 5.0 for better connectivity and you will get around 30-40ft of this depending on your surroundings so this means you do not need to have your phone strapped on your hip either when in use at home or in the office.

They are light, slim and stylish though most see this format as doucehbag status and do not like the stem effect, Personally I could not care less once they sound good and these do across the board. You have good battery life and lots of features with simple taps to control these easily although some muscle memory might be required for some to hit the right spot.

Need a job in IT or tech click the image below.

You can skip and reverse tracks with two taps, you can play and pause music and answer or hang up on calls, Most importantly they work individually so this means you can use one while another is charging should you need be,the other thing is calls come through both sides for that stereo effect and call quality is just brilliant here, In fact all voice on these are even if you watch Netflix or you tube for example people speaking is one area that these shine in,there is also no lag latency here either or lip sync to keep it simple.

The sound quality is great, good dynamic range and overall a good sound stage with good separation easily heard and direction which for me is important. My track playlist is on my YouTube channel which covers all genres. After putting nearly 40 hours into these for the money you cant go wrong it is that simple,Bass is not strong and there is no app and I would like to see more colours but this is a common trend with true wireless but there is others out there costing much more than these that do not offer so for the price you pay you cant complain at all. So are they worth the money?? DAAM yes..   I cant wait to see what the company have coming next.

Review – The Poly Savi 8220 ANC wireless headphones. An office must have. #Poly #Office #Tech

An overkill for me personally in my office space but for anyone in an working environment this is a must have for multiple reasons. In Dublin today we now have more open space offices and units where multiple businesses work under one roof or even on the same floor and this headset is ideal for the likes too.

With multiple connectivity options and the option to use for conference calls this is an ideal way to connect and conduct seamless transfer between devices or add devices to the conversation, You can add up to 4 of the same headset for conference calls by simply joining in and you can also connect other devices via bluetooth and this all works fast and to the point.  You can connect to your mains switch if you have one or simply connect to your PC,tablet or smartphone which was my use case scenario and the quick one touch transfer works a treat for no loss of time or productivity.

The ANC works well too, Where I live it can be quite noisy sometime given I have a soundproof house I like the windows open for some air and this is my issue at home and using the ANC works a treat keeping the outside out where it belongs. Testing indoors with doors shut etc I was able to keep chit chat and TV out of the mix too with the ANC on so for an office space this is what you need to avoid distraction.

It will not win any awards for the music fan but it is good enough but it is not aimed at such or sold to perform as a proper pair or headphones would but they work and are loud enough too so you can use for both work and personal it is up to you, Many people I know do this in fact and this headset is fine, Where it shines is the call quality this is top of the class with crystal clear calls really enhanced too making it feel like a virtual reality experience with a VR headset with optics this does this with the voice clarity.

Review – The BenQ W2700 World’s first 4K home theatre DLP projector featuring DCI-P3. #BenQ #Tech #Projector

Projectors are now a big thing and I have tried and tested quite a few now and also own some and plan to convert the entire house to just projectors in all the rooms, It takes away that central focus point in most houses and given the screen estate on offer it also saves on space but when we are talking about watching actual content on such devices how does this pan out? Well this will be different for everyone one due to the make and model of projector you have and what your own personal set up is like at home.

You can sit this in your sitting room or you can fix it permanently on your ceiling it is up to you how you set things up and how and if you plan to move it around the house, size is another matter here that needs to be considered as they can come in all shapes and sizes, some can be quite large and some can be rather small but for now that is how it will be until the tech comes better to scale down on the size front here but again this is brand dependent and what you are willing to pay to own such equipment at home.

Need a job in IT or tech click the image below

For my personal use case this is for watching films, streaming and gaming and also perhaps looking at images, you have multiple connection choices here so there is no shortage on getting access to display your content to a bigger audience on a bigger display. You can use this in other situations such as presentations or in an office for example.

One example that is important for some is portability with a projector and one I recently reviewed was the GVI which is an excellent little projector but has less picture quality compared to the one we have tested out and you can see this in the video review below from a quality perspective but nonetheless it is still a great projector with lots of function built in without the need to have a smartphone connected all the time to use it.

Check our hands on footage sample and UI in the video below for more information and details on how this can easily replace your TV at home or even in the bedroom and see what to expect from the picture, The video might not do it justice as with any similar recording but from where I was sitting it is impressive stuff and worth looking at if it is quality and a true to life sound experience you are after with connectivity options.

Review – The IMOU BULLET outdoor security camera. #Security #IMOU #Tech

The IMOU bullet security camera is on the larger side to what we have tested over the last few years here but that in itself is not a bad thing as it alone is visible. This unit has two antennas sicking up on the sides and they are there for good reason which is WiFi connectivity and it works, Faster connecting via the app compared to others I use and tried this is a good thing. This is a wired camera though so you need to plan your final fixed position which might be a slight issue for some depending on where you have plugs and so on but you can get around this.

The results you get from this camera is good but I feel I have seen it all before from YALE similar design and the same UI on the app but it works and works well and fully featured so I cant complain and for the price you pay it is good in comparison to some others out there on offer, We have more cameras on the way too so stay tuned for that.

Below in the video I go through the app and you will get to see some clips, It is a simple set up and the app is easy to use.some cameras can be a nightmare to set up but this one is not and it has a simple easy UI to navigate, You will need to pay for a cloud service if you like but you get some free when you purchase first which is nice and will allow you to determine if it is worth it but you can use local storage via Micro Sd card.

Review and setup – The all new TILE range. Never lose a thing again. #TILE #Tech #tileit

TILE recently launched a few new products to the market and we have checked them out and now they are more affordable, come in packs and multiple options at hand for users to choose from.

All four products are available at Tile.com and major retailers; including Amazon, John Lewis, Curry’s and Argos.

  • Tile Sticker: Available in Black, starting from £34.99 for a 2-pack, £54.99 for a 4-pack
  • Tile Slim: Available in Black for £24.99
  • Tile Mate: Available in White, for £19.99
  • Tile Pro: Available in Black and White, for £29.99

The credit card styled tile is ideal for those who still carry wallets including myself from time to time and fits nicely in any wallet or again can fit in a purse too for the ladies, One suggestion with any of the tiles is I would do my best to hide them underneath the stitching if possible and the same applies to any tile i would hide them as best as I can to stop thieves removing them as they will be aware of such products in this day and age but you will get the idiots that just dont think.

Tile Sticker is a handy one, can be placed anywhere and ideal for the likes of bikes or any kind of small transport like escooters. However you would again need to be clever where you place the tile and keep it out of sight and out of water too and there is plenty of places on bikes and mopeds you can place them if you think of it out of our weather conditions. The sticker would also be handy at home for keys and remote controls which is what we commonly misplace the most.

Tile has made it easier to find items by consistently expanding the Bluetooth range and volume level of its hardware devices. But the technological leadership does not stop there. For those moments when an item is truly lost or left behind, it’s the Tile Community that steps in to help. Once an item is marked as lost, if any member of the Tile Community spots the missing item, the owner is automatically notified with its location. Tile’s ever expanding Community, comprised of all customers with the Tile app as well as access points, finds more than 90% of items marked as lost.

The regular tile can be attached to bags, coats, laptop carry bags and so on but again it is visible, I have mine under the stitching via a cut I made so it will not stick out like a sore thumb. Also with TILE you can find your phone if you misplace it too by a double tap on either of the units and it will ring your phone. The app still remains community based for lost tiles and if you add it to the system other users can pick it up and as i show you in the review there is plenty of TILE users in Ireland and even in my locale there was over 2000 users.

Great gift idea..

  • Pro Combo: 2-Pack at £49.99 and 4-Pack at £89.99
  • Mate: 4-Pack available at £59.99
  • Tile Essentials: 2 Tile Stickers, 1 Tile Slim, 1 Tile Mate available for £64.99
  • Tile Mate/Slim Combo: 2 Mates and 2 Slims, available for £69.99

Review – The Kasa Filament Smart Bulb – Warm Amber. #Kasa #IoT #Tech

Smart bulbs are a common sight these days not only at home but in some office environments and cafes around the city but today we check one out for the home which brings a warm feeling to your environment be it your bedroom or sitting room it really makes it feel warm and cosy which is what this particular bulb sets out to do.

Setup is the easiest thing ever which for me is important, I am familiar with the KASA app itself as it covers everything they do so there is no messing around using standalone apps for each product which is very annoying it is not the case here and all products are integrated onto one fine tuned app I have several cameras on the same app and all works very simply which is a win but this only applies if you are fully embedded into their eco-system which I almost am and for me it works and it is better to have a good eco-system of products on one single app that run several different products on several apps but it is what I do here but I do like how tp-link and KASA have approached this with an all in one app with NO HUB required. Good job lads.

  • Compatibility – Works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for Voice Control
  • No Hub Required – Works with any Wi-Fi router without the need for a separate hub
  • Dimmable Warm Amber Light – With dimming range from 1% to 100%, set the right brightness for any mood or activity
  • Remote Access – Control your lights from anywhere with your tablet or smartphone using the free Kasa app
  • Scenes and Schedules – Set schedules to switch on and off automatically when you’re home or away. Combine your lights with other Kasa Smart devices in a Scene and control them with a single button.

Review – The KASA KC 200 outdoor security camera. #KASA #Security #Tech

Recently I have checked out the Kasa Spot indoor camera which has all the mods and cons for your typical indoor security camera and more and it is quite discreet too compared to others on offer and fits well anywhere. This time around we are going outdoors with the KC 200 which is on another level yet kept simple and works on the same app as before and we go through all this in the video review later on. Below is an unboxing of the product if you have missed it.

The outdoor camera is robust as seen in the unboxing yet it is a wired affair which might not suit some but with many outdoor cameras today most are wired but there is some available wireless but this can be an issue due to WiFi and house builds and so on so a wired option is still a viable solution but may require you installing outdoor plugs and so on.

Depending on your personal requirements you could use this indoors if you have plugs nearby with existing cables going through the wall or door frame for example which is similar to what I have and the cable reaches from your final fixed point of the camera. This works for me as I have several arrangements in my house but the only nag is you might find is you may need longer cable you can just buy some more and attach as required it is not that difficult to setup.

Mounting the camera to the wall is simple and requires a drill and you get the fittings needed to complete the job and after that and it has been mounted you are good to go and have it set up on the app you are sorted and job done.

The camera is great as expected and works really well with a myriad of options in the settings to suit your preferences as there is different set ups required in different areas and everyone has a personal setting due to where you live and the activity in the area and so on, One common issue I have is birds setting the cameras off but you can adjust to kill off some of the false negatives in the settings, We go through this in the video review below and you can also see day and night footage of the setup too and how good the quality is which can be again adjusted to save space but I still recommend you use the best quality for the best footage you can get. I have seen plenty of camera footage up on social media and I may of well be looking at minecraft for an image which is no good to anyone.

  • Compatibility – Works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for Voice Control and IFTTT;
  • No Hub Required – Works with any Wi-Fi router without the need for a separate hub or paid subscription service.
  • Ideal for the dark mornings and evenings for securing property

Review – The TWS i500 earbuds. Better than I expected for the money. #TWS #i500 #TrueWireless

TWS branded earbuds are a plenty these days with multiple variants on offer or branded TWS generic which can be found in many corner shops or tech shops these days that are littered with Chinese knock offs. Out of the gate these are called a replica but recently I checked out a similar version albeit one side only and it was the biggest pile of dirt to set foot on my review table.

This pair however I am glad to say are good, better than Airpods and come in at around 50 euros and have a decent level of bass and loud. They have wireless charging case too and after testing for many hours to give them a run they still work fine today and have been great to use over the last while which I really did not expect at all.

These work on both Android and iOS but you do not get the same nice animation on your Android phone as you would with Apple (it does work on Apple) See HERE and I would have liken to see that in action but it is what it is, The do come up on your phone as Airpods too which is funny.

Listening to my usual You Tube playlist and tracks on phone they really did surprise me with the sound quality and I would certainly pass them off as a good knock off so If you cant afford Airpods you might want to check them out, I do not condone knock offs but after trying these they are worth the spend, All genres and soundstages came out well with nice bass, there is no app but no need for one here with these if you are a bass fan. There is plenty of alternatives out there of course from other known brands and after testing more than enough competitors out there Airpods and their price have had their day just like the overpriced iPhone, NO I am not going to plug the iPhone or Airpods like many tech journalists do day in and day out even when not discussing such. Overpriced goods are now numbered with the cost to ratio performance coming down all the time.

My only concern is how long they will last so it is something to keep in mind I will check back in in a few months time and see how they live up but for now is it worth the risk, that is up to you but my testing has been very thorough and they work fine. Also the fit, Airpods are known not to fit everyone the same applies here. Going forward tech journalists need to shut up constantly hyping and comparing Airpods and iPhones at any given chance they get and move along and start looking at other things.

The Power of 15-hour Battery Life

i500 delivers a 4-hour of listening time-all on one charge. And they’re made to keep up with you, thanks to a charging case that holds multiple charges for more than 15 hours of listening time. Need a quick charge? Just put AirPods back in the case for 45 minutes to get up to 4 hours of listening time and 2 hours of talk time.

In-Ear Optical Sensors

i500 TWS Headphones have similar features with the original one such as Optical Sensors, they sense when they’re in your ears and pause when you take them out.

Wireless Charging Case

i500 comes with a Wireless Charging Case, which is used for both charging and storage purposes so it won’t get lost. The Charging Case is about the size of a container of dental floss, so it’s easily pocketable. A Lightning port at the bottom lets the i500 and the case be charged with the Lightning cables you already have on hand, and the Wireless Charging Case lets you charge with a Qi wireless charger.
