Review – The Gaston Luga Backpack. Bags with fashion, style for men and women. #anywherewithGL

We have reviewed multiple tech bags here and one thing in common is they do serve their purpose but some look a bit plain and boring but this bag is different. It will stand out and it looks more expensive than one would think and Gaston Luga reached out to us to check one out of our choice and I picked something that looks really nice and fashionable and does the job but looks even better doing it and it would not pass for a tech bag a such but it is in one sense but can be used for multiple things asides just the tech user who likes to travel.

Gaston Luga backpacks are unique as they feature highly structured internal divisions and a clean, streamlined shape – typical Scandi design. They are also assembled from strong, resistant fabrics such as cotton canvas and metal buckles. In addition, their backpacks are made from vegan leather that maintain a high quality feel.

The company has a fantastic range of bags and priced well and something for everyone with a range of accessories to match. They have included unique details like a concealed passport pocket, address tags, subtle colors, metallic hardware, and metallic feet and combined them with elements of Scandinavian minimalism like smart storage and the use of long-lasting materials. In this way, they have created a collection of backpacks that are perfect for any occasion.

There is a MEN and WOMENS section to narrow things down you should check out what is on offer. Check out our video review below.

Unboxing and Review. The Urbanista Sydney Bluetooth speaker. #Urbanista #Speakers #Tech

Urbanista recently announced  some new products and now they are starting to surface and the first up is the all new Sydney Bluetooth Speaker which is smaller than their previous speaker we reviewed some time ago..  This speaker is half the size almost and packs the same punch but only better and has nice bass to it too which is welcome.

With a choice of colours at hand too there is options and we opted for the Olive Green being Irish and all that and out of the box it looks well and this speaker has a fabric covering which is really nice and a break away from the typical metal finish many speakers have these days but it is noticeable that many manufacturers are now using fabric coverings which is good.

The speaker has got simple controls too which is nice and up top you have the power on/off button, bluetooth button and plus/minus volume keys. On the back there is the i/o with Micro USB ports and aux. On the underside there is rubber feet to keep it still and it does not move at max volume as you will see in the video review below.

Sound quality is great here and so is call quality you can also connect to the speaker with your phone if you like with 3.5m cable. This speaker is very portable and pocketable too and can be used anywhere from your own personal space such as your bedroom or be brought on a picnic or camping and sit back and enjoy the clear sound and especially the bass.

Review – Skyroam Solis X. An ideal connectivity travel solution. #Skyroam #SolisX #Travel #Tech

Skyroam has been around a while now and we have checked out their previous model which again like the current offering ideal for those who travel and saves you the hassle of looking for local sims and so on this one has some upgrades but the principal remains the same which is keeping you connected wherever you go and it does just that, Hotel WiFi is not trustworthy in my book as it wants to know too much regardless of GDPR rules, Avoid it if you can and below is an example why in this tweet.

The Solis X has now mics a camera and a flash and some new connectivity options with IFTTT which will be of benefit to some. The camera for me is more a security aspect to an extent, You could leave it in your hotel room for example or anywhere but the idea of skyroam is one of portability for connectivity so you would carry it with you??  You can take videos and images which store on the app and you have a 4GB allowance. I can also see a need for the camera but limited to an extent and would be use case dependent for me, One example would be to keep an eye on my hotel room when not in it but if travelling abroad you buy this for the purpose of staying connected but you get the idea. I would have liked to seem a bluetooth speaker brought on board here as it is ideal for it.

The app works well and is simple to use and I go through this in the video review, Skyroam has day passes and monthly plans but you are not allowed carry over unused data and some are under the good old FUP fair usage policy, this will vary by region and agreements so you need to be careful there as data roaming now is a cash cow for vendors when you go over limits on any plan and the same applies to mobile phones as we all know.

Moving on I love this product and it also allows you to connect up to ten devices,my average is 4 when I travel and I notice no slow down in speeds either so I can continue to work solely of the one device with no issues at all and there is also the added bonus that you have a built in battery bank on board should your phone or tablet run low on juice. Using the device on my testing with Three devices connected all day seen me from 8am to 6pm.

Unboxing,Set up and review – The Google Nest Mini. #madebygoogle #NestMini

The Google Nest mini is the next step up from Last years model which has a few improvements over the last gen. Smaller and greener it has a few new features and upped specs and is a nice addition to your home or even an upgrade from last years model.

As we know from the launch the Assistant has been upgraded which also applies to your mobile phone and this is welcome as it has now deeper integration there is some features however which is only available in the US for now and hopefully we will see them this side of the world soon.

There is also now an option to wall mount your nest mini which is a great idea if you need the space but you will still need this to be powered in to work as it has no built in battery as before and perhaps that might be a change come the next model but I think it is fine as is as it just left there and powered off when not in use just like my Alexa products and this is a fear many have with the likes of this tech apparently listening to you all day long, simple way to fix that is when not in use just unplug and get along with it.

If you have another one in your home you can also stream music and connect both together giving you stereo sound in one room or have the same music playing in other rooms in your house which is handy and now there is more bass to the music and sound too which is a great addition and most will appreciate this as many people like bass, the same applies to earphones and so on.

New features also on the Nest mini is capacative buttons which allows you to play and pause and higher and lower the volume, you will see these as seen before under the cloth covering you touch the centre or the sides to adjust so this brings a certain level of interaction with the device unlike the previous model which is nice.

You can read more on the nest mini here and check out below the unboxing, setup and the nest mini in action.

Review – Tech 21 Evo Check case for the Google Pixel 4. #Tech21 #Pixel4 #TeamPixel

The Tech 21 Evo Check case is one that is minimalist to one degree but comes with extra coloured buttons which is a new one on me but love the idea and it is perhaps something that could be carried over to more devices going forward. The case adds additional grip to your Pixel 4 and both sides can be placed flat on a surface and it takes the hump of the rear of the device which is welcome and protects it form getting scratched, The keys work a treat to and have good feedback and the case is drop tested up to 12 feet and has germ killing protection so what is there not to love.

Check out the video below of what to expect and stay tuned for more case reviews coming for the Pixel 4 in the coming days..

Ringke have sent us some cases to check out for the Google Pixel 4 which will add great protection to your device, We also have some cases done for the Pixel 3a if you missed that over HERE.

The Fusion cases are simplistic in design and not bulky yet add maximum protection a case should offer for your smartphone. With a tapered lip around the front of the device from top and and bottom inward the phone can be placed face down and on the rear the raised camera hump is well sorted here and this is below surface level which protects the entire hump so it is also great for those who like to keep their device face up.

With the edges of the case also tapered it gives you better grip and is comfortable to hold and the keys are also angled inward making it easy to navigate them, With small bumpers on each corner you are fully protected. These also work with Wireless Charging.
