Tech Review – Enacfire A9 ANC earbuds.

The Enacfire ANC earbuds are an affordable fair of earbuds with ANC present, As I have said before the cost to performance ratio has come down on earbuds and ANC is a feature many desire but overall how do these perform coming in at around 55 euros are they worth a punt… You can check out a shorts unboxing here

Build Quality

These are made of plastic however really light and they are compact with a smaller stem design than most out there today overall they are indeed a smaller earbud in general on the entire size for the format and look current with the design but we have seen similar designs like this before.

Comfort

These are light and fit quite well and with the right tips you will be fine and with the IPX7 rating these are fine for the gym if you wear such they do not move or wiggle when jogging so overall a decent experience and no pressure on the ears either when changing the controls.

Sound

The performance from these overall is quite good for their price it must be said and from my usual test run they did a great job, highs lows and mids well balanced and direction yet no distortion when maxed out either, a bit brighter than other earbuds but did well even with some bass in there for the mix and loud enough volume wise. Bass fans however might want to look elsewhere unless the company gives us an EQ app in the future which would be nice.

Controls

The controls worked really well on these and we go through these in the video below there is some lag on the volume control but all fine otherwise and you do also get access to your voice assistant to, for a cheap pair of earbuds these perform really well in comparison to some others tested and the touch sensitive area is placed well.

These also come with transparency mode and found this less effective than other earbuds but this might not bother some but something to look into, the ANC done a decent job again compared to other sub 100 euro earbuds, battery life is on par but shy of the claims by about 45 /60 mins in my testing but overall a good offering here. These also can be used individually which is a good option.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 unboxing and walk-through.

The all new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 has just landed and can this be the one that converts people into the flip game? It has been some time since I have used a Samsung device and this one grabbed my attention so we decided to purchase it ourselves and I will now take this for a good test run over the next few weeks and see can it make me switch to a foldable device which reminds me of the old days when they where popular and I did own and still have quite a few flip phones in my collection..

On first impressions the device is solid and has a better build this time round and a great screen and the cameras seem to quite good too but lets see how all this fairs out over the next few weeks, comparing to the previous model it has more to offer and a better outer display yet still small and they could have utilised the space better on the front to give us a bigger screen to play with but maybe next time that might happen but it is also more functional this time around too and I guess it is welcome..

Check out the unboxing and walk-around of the device below and if you have any questions feel free to hit us up in the comments and we will gladly answer them.. Also if you want to protect your new device, you can find a rich offer of phone accessories online.

Tech Review – Apple Magsafe Charger.

I have adopted wireless charging some time now and Apple here have been slow to bring us products and third party offerings have cashed in while we waited for Apple to drop us something themselves nd even with Magsafe totalled out at 15W it is still piss poor from the company that gives us less each year omitting something from their iPhone box for example and claiming it saves the environment but when you go to buy the missing item from the box should you need it, guess what it ships in yes you guessed it another box..

The design is simple a circular puck shape if you will and well built buy the looks and feel of it so it all aint that bad and the price is arguably fair compared to other wireless chargers out there too. One thing I wonder though is how long will it stay so clean being white after months of use time will tell I guess.

Simplicity here is the key to take away from the product as it just sticks to the back of the device even with a skin on and some case but thicker phone cases can be removed now if you plan on buying one..

Forté for iPhone makes good use of the magsafe charger by twelve south

15W is the best Apple can offer here which is akin to their plugs on older iPhones which is paltry compared to the competition out there today and a bit scabby in my book plus it does not work charging from pc/laptop and you need a mains plug to actually use the thing so the likes of charge banks and so on are out of the question if you are on the go, another piss poor move here.

It is faster than older chargers and that its it, the product looks nice and there is accessories out there to make us of it and it is only for the likes of people who have such and are not to bothered by slow charging speeds and I do like the ability that it snaps on nice and easy and seems to be fairly strong enough once it is not knocked hard out of place.

There is cheaper alternatives out there and shops that sell it cheaper than Apple which is funny but their build quality is not as good as Apple here but still worth a look and you can save yourself some money if you wish to pick one up..

Tech Review – Belkin Key Ring Holder for Apple Air Tag. #Belkin #AirTag #Apple

Quick and to the point with this one it is just a key ring holder after all and is one of the cheapest on the market for your AirTag but we have more to come and of course our Air Tag review and comparison to other offerings on the market such as Tile Chipolo and NotiOne. This is a simple solid holder for your Air Tag that comes in two pieces you simply just stick the tag in between the two bits of plastic, would have preferred a soft rubber material but it is what it is. Overall though it is solid it must be said.

This was purchased by ourselves on the Apple store and cost 13.95 which is cheap enough compared to other offerings out there and comes in several colours, it is secure and scratch resistant which will protect your tag from getting marked and for those who have theirs engraved it is a bonus how that holds up over time to being exposed to the elements and so on and moving around.. Check out the video for more below and we have a link to purchase below. Overall it is safe enough and will not fall off but there is always that possibility it can be removed like any trackers most people proudly show off..

Tech Review – Apple AirTag Bluetooth tracker. #AirTag #Apple

Bluetooth trackers have been around many years now and TILE being the most prominent in the market and well known and I use TILE myself and have reviewed all their products and they have been a staple for me for putting onto keys etc and then they added products to expand their use case such as stickers and thin cards like a credit card for your wallet.

Airtags have no GPS and work in a similar way to TILE with Bluetooth which has a community led environment and then uses the location services of your smartphone and find my network to communicate location information and with more iPhones on the planet than any other device this is how they have an advantage over TILE.

The set up process is rather simple and once done you can try it out at home by opening the find my app on this you then see a map of where the tag was last you can play a sound, find nearby and you have a notifications panel.. You can toggle on/off and you have a lost mode option which you can also enable and leave a number so you can be contacted once found. You can also rename the tag or remove it here too if you need to rest the device you can simply pop off the back and take out the battery and reinsert it 5 times and this can allow you to pass it on or just pair to another device.

This is ideal for those who own iphones more so but the question asked often is will these work with Android devices, if your Android device has NFC and you find one you can pick it up by just placing it at the back of your device this will then tell you if the device has been lost etc and you can disable it it is limited and in short the answer is no unless Apple perhaps want to drop the “find my” app in the play store so sorry Android users it is a no go for now..

Finally the battery life is around one year depending on ones usage and this is user replaceable with a battery you would find in you car key fob for example and the back just twists off and you will use the CR2032.

Overall great product for iPhone owners but the same still applies they can still be easily stolen as for any other tracking tag in similar format.

Tech Review – Edifier NeoBuds Pro, The First Hi-Res ANC Earbuds

Having tested Edifier products some years now it always a joy to get their latest product they are a staple in audio I use their products daily and their sound signature has always been consistent until now.. Their latest TWS NB2 is their last product and was a fine fit to compare them too considering the design and looks are near identical bar some small cosmetic changes perhaps and size Edifier have upped the game here in a big way and these are a pair of earbuds you need to check out if you want something different and that moves away from the boring industry design.

Check out the unboxing below and see what I mean..

Now I will give out here when it comes to two things and I never have complaints about Edifier and they are NO wireless charging and NO EQ in the app this perhaps may change with a software update for the EQ after that it is a clean sheet of excellence.  In their PR material there is an EQ advertised so lets hope this comes to fruition soon.

Design and build

These are a great design as mentioned and move away from the boring straight stem look with nice edges and angles with a nice finish too that stand out and have people asking about them which was similar to the previous model, they are robust and then you have the charging case which I really like and has some cosmetic changes here too and the it comes under one of the best charging cases to date with the LED light that reminds me of kitt from knight rider is is very cool indeed.

Comfort and controls

These fit really well and as always select the right tips for the optimum experience there is a choice as with any set of earbuds and do try them out sometimes they might differ and the ones on them mostly suit me best but sometimes I do need to change them, the controls are easy to use and the sensitivity can be changed in the app and we go through these in the video review below, you simply have to tap the top of the earbud it is all a simple process

Sound

The sound is amazing to put it simple I did not think they could be as good as their marketing stated like all brands you get the usual marketing jargon but this time they delivered and outshine the previous model and gamers can get in on the act too 30db is a standard you see when it comes to noise cancelling and these go up to 42db which is fantastic and not only this there is 6 mics, again something you see on more expensive earbuds the average is around 4 mics today, Music and gaming is great and for movies these really took me by surprise with the sound here and the direction the sound is what you expect from headphones this is remarkable here and of course full volume was how I tested.

All the highs lows and mids are excellent and there is a nice level of bass too and overall simply put a great audio experience from a pair of earbuds, you have to remember these are earbuds not headphones and they deliver headphones quality sound.

Battery life is on par with their claims too and for the price if you get them early they are an easy to recommend purchase and put it up to other brands especially at the early price, you cant go wrong overall here so take my word and thank me later and just buy them.

Tech Review – SOUL Emotion max ANC headphones. #SOUL #ANC #Tech

The latest offering from SOUL is their new emotion max ANC headphones which I have been testing for a while now and they are a very worthy contenter in the market for the price and come with all the features you would expect to do so and more. Well presented too with the packaging this was a good start to the overall experience.

Check out the unboxing here and see what you get for your money ..,

Built for the modern consumer, EMOTION MAX allows wearers to effortlessly switch back and forth between Normal, Active Noise Cancellation and Audio Transparency mode, while Bluetooth Multipoint Technology empowers users to stream music, answer calls, and receive notifications from two separate devices at once. Not only can consumers expect SOUL’s signature precision sound, complete with a powerful 40mm driver and AptX and AAC codec, but they will have clear-sounding calls and voice communication with the built-in Qualcomm® CvC™ 8.0 (Clear Voice Capture). EMOTION MAX also boasts up to 38 hours of music, entertainment, and talk time (24 hours with ANC function on).

Comfort and build

These are very light in comparison to some headphones recently tested here and are robust, they are made of mostly plastic but still strong and no creaks as seen in the unboxing and that is a good sign. These can be worn for hours on end too with no issues with that head clamping experience you might find on some headphones and your ears do not sweat either.

Controls

The controls are great and easy to use and after a while using them blindly is fine too, all the controls are on one side which I like and prefer and the keys are slightly raised and all commands can be done from the one side which we go through in the video below it is a simple affair and executed well..

Sound

Well this is the bit most people just read reviews for and it is good to report all is good here, One thing I would like is for soul to have an app in the near future to enhance the experience even more but out of the box the sound overall is great at this price point. One caveat noted was some tunes maxed out with ANC off got distorted sometimes but having ANC headphones I use the ANC and hardly use transparency mode but having said that these modes do work really well and are a great addition to the features on the headphones.

For movies You Tube and gaming etc you will be happy with the audio quality given here with good direction highs lows and mids are good too and in general a listening experience you will enjoy.

The other major benefit with these is multipoint technology which allows you to connect to two devices at once so for me working at home connecting to my phone and pc make these a great pair of headphones to have and makes life much easier.
