AS you can see, they bring back the NFC support for this version, which is great, but they also confirmed already that they will not be offering a OnePlus X 2 as the company want to focus on flagship devices like when it started.

Another killer feature of these devices is the insane amount of RAM you have now, 6GB of RAM to move everything around.

The only “downside” you could find its the 1080p screen for a 5.5″ device on 2016, but in reality you’ll not see any difference unless you compare it directly to an S7 side by side.

What still remains to be seen if the 3000mAh battery will be enough  or even better due to the lower resolution screen, what could help a little is the fast charging capabilities, giving you 6h of use with just 30min charge.

Another great feature of the OnePlus 3 lies on its super customizable nature, you minimum knowledge you can easily slap a custom ROM on it and make it look exactly the way you want.

At the beginning we told you that now the device just have two color options, but now all those lovable back cover of the OnePlus 2 are now cases that you can use depending on the occasion.

All that for $399 is not a bad deal at all, the best part? They finally get rid of the “invite system” so you can get right now if you want to.

But let us know, Would you get one? Do you have one already? What are your thoughts on this 6GB monster? Sound off in the comment section below or join the conversation on twitter.

Empire Case – #Review – MPERO slim shock case review for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. #Tech

To simplify this review its pretty easy,The cases are a simple and in our review units clear….. Simple but effective, they do the job they have been made to do which is give your device some form of protection,However with the Galaxy S7 edge this was always going to be an issue without going to any extremes bar one case we have which does just that..

These are simple TPU cases which have shock absorption throughout and on a personal level I prefer this gel type case over hard shells, hard shells seem to just divert the shock elsewhere whereas the gel case does absorb, over testing so many cases this is my theory anyway and from the amount of cases tests I have conducted I am qualified to have this opinion, which we are all entitled to..

Empire case in gold Samsung S7 Edge

2 / 11

The cases are clear and flexible and comfortable to hold and grip is one strong point here, style though lacks compared to others and some just like that simple effect and again some prefer to have a nice design,I would be between both here and have the choice of both.

Empire case Clear. Samsung S7 Edge

When it comes to functionality the keys all worked perfectly fine and not stiff,Some cases can give that feeling of the need to press harder when new which can be expected but these cases worked fine out of the pack, all ports are easily accessible and no issues here either, camera and flash areas again covered giving just enough room to place flat on a surface,On the front though the four corners are raised  slightly a,lowing the device to be placed face down comfortably..

The cases colours we had are see through which means you cans till see your natural device colour but being transparent with any case means longevity is an issue as to how long it can retain from going off colour, A wipe of a cloth now and then will suffice in the interim but I can see people holding on to cases that are discoloured for long, but for the price you really cant complain $8.99 with free shipping worldwide. And shipping for us was 5 working days after talking to the good folks at empirecase.com . Check out their full range of cases..

Warning – More numbers to add to your block list. #Scams #Mobiles #Landline

The last week or two has seen a big increase in scams by means of phone calls either to landlines or mobile, not only myself but users on several local forums such as boards.ie have been posting about the same. Perhaps its just a phase but these tend to come and go and for weeks on end you hear nothing but now its an issue.

The first number is based in Nigeria second from Somalia and finally the last one is India… As per usual do not answer if you see these numbers and most importantly do not call them back. Block them from you device if it allows it.

Control your text messages with On Second Thought SMS app. #SMS #Text #Tech

SMS is a huge form of communication and has been for years and we use them to do everything, literally everything..However the thing is SMS or the humble text as we know is dying year on year and has been for a few years now with thanks to messaging apps like Viber or WhatsApp and now we have Facebook Messenger and so on. We also use social media to communicate via DM on Twitter is another way to communicate, then of course we have the traditional email or phone call available to us.. Fear not the SMS will be around for a long time to come as we have to consider the demographic here and who uses this form of communication..

On Second Thought which is now on Android and iOS in the works reminds me of the other app “Unsend It” so here once again we see choice.Choice is what the consumer wants and apparently get these days… These apps would be now more useful than ever and what is good here you can stop something you say thats really bad before it happens, especailly when one has had a few beverages on the weekend which is when we tend to a bit more honest than midweek… Unlike social media when we do say things we can delete but if someone gets that screenshot………You have been caught…..

On Second Thought has the following features to offer though…

  • Send and receive SMS and MMS messages
  • Undo and/or edit messages before they get to the recipient’s phone
  • Curfew
  • Group Messaging
  • Send Photos
  • Automatic sync of contacts
  • Automatic sync existing conversations

We understand, mistakes happen. Whether we’ve accidentally sent our boss a message meant for our spouse, or auto-correct has made us look like a jerk, we’ve all been there. With On Second Thought we can undo those mistakes before anyone knows we’ve made them. All you have to do is swipe your message left or right within moments after hitting “Send.”

See On Second Thought where you can sign up for notification on iOS or download on Android below…

User blocking is now available on Disqus. #Blocking #Disqus

User blocking has finally arrived on Disqus. Like social media sites such as Twitter and Instagram this has been a much requested feature for many and its good to see it finally implemented.Hopefully it works 100% because for social media sites such as Instagram and Twitter the word BLOCK in fact does not block you due to them being public by default. Disqus would be something most people use for commenting on forums across the world an popular with blog sites we like to use it for comments and support reasons and we are HERE

Disqus today said…

Up until this point, you’ve had to rely solely on moderators to take action in maintaining quality discussions by dealing with harassment or trolling. Now rather than simply flagging a comment or reporting someone to a moderator, you have the ability to take action on your own.

How to block a user in Disqus…

Method one is by comment dropdown….

Method number two is via the User Profile….

To unblock someone, You can remove someone from your blocked users list from the Blocking section in your user settings..

The T-Mobile Blackberry #PRIV finally gets #Android #Marshmallow.

Users of the BB PRIV on T-Mobile have been waiting for the official update since it was announced, but for one reason or other was delayed.

They were able to get it as beta through the Beta program Blackberry itself offered, but now is official but all those who didn’t want the struggle of “bug full” releases.

In case you missed it, we did a full review HERE were you can find all the benefits of the update.

But everything will be there, from DOZE to improve your battery life to the granular app permission that will boost the DTEK service.

Also unlike other manufactures, Blackberry did include to “Adatable Storage” on this update, so you can use an SD card to add more “onboard” memory.

Remember that the phone needs to be charge at least 60% (but I strongly recommend you to have it at 100%) and as this is an OTA update you’ll need to check every now and then to see if is available to your particular device.

Do you have the update already? Are you exited about it? Let us know in the comment section below or Tweet us to join the conversation.

Dont forget to check out our INTERVIEW with Blackberry too…

Review – Samsung Galaxy S7 slot series armor case from #Punkcase #Tech

This is the second of our reviews coming from some cases that the good folks at Punkcase have sent us over,This time around its for the Samsung Galaxy S7 with a rose gold finish this will be a must for S7 owners.. This is from the slot series armor range…Packaging again here same as previous case we reviewed sporting the case, wipes and a screen protector which is a welcome extra in the pack..

The same sentiment here with this case can be felt with the last one we did which is excellent, giving the user a solid grip in hand knowing the device will be protected,The case does not add much bulk to the device yet makes it more solid. Ports again were precise and to the point and no interference was found with using Micro USB cable or headphones, the speaker too also muffle free and not blocked which is great. With two areas, top and bottom sporting a dimpled effect ads some grip in the hand and on a flat surface also giving the camera and flash area ample leeway from getting harmed. The device can also be placed face down with a lip surrounding the whole of the front screen again leaving you feeling safe, lots of us like to place our device face down for some odd reason, myself included..  Overall the case again was great and is more than sufficient and not forgetting the screen protection provided in the packaging its a cheap price to pay rather than paying for a new screen or housing.. See the full range of this series  right HERE

Review – Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge clutch series from #Punkcase #Tech

The good guys over at Punkcase have sent us over a few goodies to check out and we will start with the Clutch series case for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The case comes well presented is a clamshell case keeping it protected and dirt free, not only do you get the case you also get some wipes and a screen protector to boot which is welcome to say the least..

The case is simple to install and takes lest than a 2 seconds to do so,Built with a TPU layer it makes it shock and heat resistant protecting your device all round, with the rounded back it follows the mould of the S7 Edge nicely and feels good to hold in the hand too,There is ample room where needed in the areas required for the speaker, headphone socket and the Micro USB ports, there is no issue here with connecting whats required,The volume and power toggles worked a treat and where comfortable to use with good travel and not tight, some cases tend to need some use before these buttons become comfortable to use, this was not an issue here and they worked perfectly fine out of the box..

On the back there is a card holder, not something I would ever consider using personally, but its there if you are the type to carry cards with you especially in your phone case, lots do it,for security reasons I dont nor have I been ever an advocate for people to do so but its down to the individual themselves to do so and does warrant a reason not to be carrying a wallet.

The case can be placed down either as normal of front faced down, there is a lip present which protects the top and bottom on the device and with the edge this will always be the case due to the both edges being curved you will be limited as to how far the case can overlap especially if you use the sidebar on the device which I do.The camera area too is also well protected and free from harm when placed back down..

Video Review

Overall the case is quite nice and does what it sets out to do and protects your device, there is a range of colours to pick from and you can see the full range in the clutch series HERE
