Nursery Brand ClevaMama Helps Parents to Breathe Easy with its New Ozone Free Air Purifier

Leading nursery brand ClevaMama has announced the launch of its brand-new, one of the first of its kind, air purifier –ClevaPure Air Purifier, following their new research that over four in five parents (84 per cent) worry about their baby’s health more than ever before, and in particular, their exposure to allergens (60 per cent).

The new ClevaPure Air Purifier is Medical Grade and Ozone free and removes 99.95% of irritants which can trigger asthma and allergies in young children. Along with other great features, Mika, as it is affectionately known, is a medical grade Air Purifier which is suitable and safe for babies and their nursery.

ClevaMama believe that a healthier, happier, and cleaner nursery can help your child breathe easier and can have a huge impact on their development and future health.

The latest research reveals over 50 per cent of babies suffer with some form of allergy reaction, and over a fifth (21 per cent) of parents state they don’t get enough sleep when their child is having a reaction. These parents also worry more about their child than other parents due to their allergies (21 per cent).

In fact, parents believe that mould and dust (53 per cent) are deemed to be the factors most likely to cause their child’s allergies to be triggered, followed closely by pollen (47 per cent), having a pet (40 per cent), bedding, pillows and mattresses (29 per cent) and air pollution in their nursery (25 per cent).

With this in mind, half of respondents (51 per cent) stated they worry about the effects or air quality in their home and 61 per cent worry about the effects of pollution on their baby.

Given that babies spend on average 5.5 hours in their nursery each day, it is vital to ensure that it is a safe and clean space.

Shockingly, only three in ten (29 per cent) parents said they own an air purifier for their baby’s nursery. Yet, 67 per cent of respondents were aware that they should be using an air purifier to help remove irritants and allergens from their baby’s nursery, to help reduce allergies.

To work towards a healthy nursery, over three quarters of parents (76 per cent) stated they would be willing to pay more for products that would help protect their baby’s health, and three fifths (60 per cent) would rather buy allergy friendly certified products to not put their child at risk, even if they don’t have allergies.

ClevaMama’s new ClevaPure Air Purifier is one of the only affordable, medical grade, ozone free air purifiers on the market, helping to protect against pollutants, mould, dust mites, bacteria, allergens, pollen, viruses, smoke, and odors.

Yet, 52% of respondents were unaware that babies cannot use certain air purifiers which produce ozone, damaging their respiratory system as a result.

The stylish and clever medical grade Mika device works with a simple touch system or can be controlled by an app, so you can schedule when you use it.

Dr Nina Byrnes, Medical Expert and General Practitioner, said: “With asthma and allergies on the rise, it’s becoming apparent that pollution is having a lasting effect on baby’s health. Air purifiers are a great way of ensuring good quality air within your home but unfortunately, not all parents realise that most aren’t Ozone free, causing even more damage. The new ClevaPure Air Purifier contains medical grade filters and is specifically Ozone free, removing 99.5% of airborne allergens throughout your home. It’s a much-welcomed addition to the market, and as Ozone free purifiers are much safer for babies, it’s an incredibly important feature to have when choosing which air purifiers are best at keeping your family safe. As we head into the colder months, it’s arguably never been a more important time to keep allergies and pollution at bay, especially in the home.”

Designed to fit in any nursery, “Mika” will engage children through its unique robot style – the eyes light up happy when the air is clean and become sad when the air is not. Being lightweight and portable, Mika can be easily used anywhere, at home or while away.

ClevaPure Air Purifier will be available to purchase on the ClevaMama website  www.clevamama.com with an RRP of €224.99 and retailers nationwide.

Creative Launches Its Newest Earbuds – Sensemore Air

Creative Technology today launched Creative Sensemore Air, its latest high-performance true wireless earbuds which allow users to hear more of their surroundings than ever before, without compromising on audio quality.

The new Sensemore technology helps to address the oft-annoying inconvenience associated with earbuds – because they are in-ear and block out much of the aural environment, users tend to remove their earbuds in various everyday situations, for example when starting a conversation. This changes with the Creative Sensemore Air, as users are given full control on the level of environmental sounds they want to hear. With Sensemore Mode, which is 5 times more sensitive than Ambient Mode, users can hear much more of speech, and other environmental elements, which are amplified with higher clarity. As a bonus, when set to a higher intensity, it could even benefit folks with mild hearing deficiencies.

The Ambient Mode can be used when users would like to hear their music well while still being aware of the environment, for example while jogging along a busy street. Conversely, to shut the world out so as to fully immerse in the music, users can rely on the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) Mode. The intensity of all 3 modes is fully adjustable through the handy Creative app.

Featuring a pocket-friendly charging case which is much smaller than the rest of Creative’s true wireless lineup, Creative Sensemore Air is easily the most portable model. Despite the smaller size, it retains the strong battery life that has become the series hallmark – up to 10 hours on a single charge, and 35 hours in total with the charging case. Upping the convenience factor, users get up to 2 hours of battery life with just 10 minutes of charging, and the charging case can be juiced back up with Qi-compatible wireless charging pads.

Creative Sensemore Air packs in these great features which make it comparable with high-end models several times its price:

  • Powered by high-performance 6 mm bio-cellulose drivers and expertly tuned for aural pleasure of clean highs, well-balanced mids and immersive bass. Equalizer tuning and preset profiles are conveniently available via the Creative app

  • Being IPX5 certified, it is sweatproof and suited for various workouts, both indoors and outdoors

  • Equipped with 4 microphones in total; 2 for background noise filtering in ANC mode; 2 for effective voice pick-up during calls

  • Fitted with touch control buttons, which can be customized for various functions via the Creative app

  • Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity

  • Certified as a SXFI READY* headphone so that users get to preview Super X-Fi Spatial Holography, which recreates the soundstage of a premium multi-speaker system, on local content and on new devices that are SXFI READY

Mr Sim Wong Hoo, CEO of Creative Technology, said,” The Sensemore Air is targeted at the mass market for all users who enjoy the convenience of great, portable audio with long play time; it is priced aggressively to suit this market segment. For users considering wearables in the hearing-aid market; while Sensemore Air may not be suitable for all of them, I believe it could benefit the majority of those with early-stage hearing deficiency. It would easily save them thousands of dollars, not to mention the hundreds of dollars needed for audiologist consultations. The US$80 Sensemore Air is a no-brainer choice.”

Creative Sensemore Air is priced at US$79.99, EU€ 79.99, UK£ 64.99

Tech Review – Creative Outlier Air V3

Creative have been serving up some great tech this year and we have checked out a good amount of it and for anyone into audio it is a brand you should check out for your needs as these come in at really affordable prices and their latest set of earbuds are no different either which is the Creative Outlier Air V3, it must be noted I missed the previous models here so my review is based on these and these alone and not comparing to older models as it would be unfair to as they have not been in my hands so let’s see what we have on offer. You can see the unboxing HERE

Build and design

These come in a really cool case that slides open giving them the best protection you could ask for housed in an aluminium case yet they are still held in with magnets so they won’t get lost if they are just dumped in your bag or tossed on a couch, they are a drum shaped earbud which is similar to older models when it comes to their shape and they fit nicely in the ears once the right tips are used as with most earbuds, if you are into the stem type earbuds look away now as these are not for you, they have a nice circular top which acts as the touch area for controls and works really well and also there is a light that goes round this which is cool giving out status for connection etc.

Creative OutlierAir V3 techbuzzireland

Set-up

Set-up is simple and you of course have access to the SuperX-Fi app which is a game changing app for sound that puts you in the centre of things and  you can map your head to avail of Creative’s holographic technology, this is done by taking a photo of the left and right ear and face and a tip here is to get someone to do your ears. Once set up you can use this app to enhance the experience.

Sound

Sound is what most people look at reviews for and once again they deliver and the price you pay makes it an easy purchase if you are on a budget and this is thanks to the app that also has an equaliser built in that changes the experience from my usual testing they deliver did not sound tinny did not distort on max volume and overall a great listening experience the app has access to your music files on your device so you do not need to use a different music player to open the music files you have at hand however if you listen to other streaming apps you can’t use the app which will hopefully be addressed sometime in the future,as for me it is not a problem really as I have all my music files stored on my devices. These are powered by 6 mm Bio-cellulose drivers by the way.

Battery

Battery life is slated at 40 hours here but this can vary depending on the settings like volume and ambient mode etc and overall I hit less than slated but not by much however the same can be said for any manufacturer here and I tend to go max volume and full ANC and for me it was around 37 hours in total which is fine, like that’s nearly a week lads..

Conclusion

Overall here you get a great set of earbuds with wireless charging thrown in and great sound these are ones to look out for and for 50 quid you just cant complain really yes I said 50 quid at the time of posting this.

Get cleaner air with a HEPA air purifier from Meaco. #Air #Meaco #Viruses

We are living in surreal times. As we move into spring we see the start of suffering caused from a variety of seasonal allergies, and the added risk of the airborne transmission of viruses.

Chris Michael, Director of Meaco, a leading UK air purifier manufacturer, advises the use of an air purifier to help reduce the misery caused from allergies, and to help support overall wellness as families spend more time indoors and in close proximity

There is a lot of talk about why people should use a HEPA air purifier for health benefits. Air pollution caused by a range of pollutants can be detrimental to health. The very young and elderly are particularly vulnerable. Pollution is most obvious in large cities, along busy roads and in industrial areas but there are also many sources of pollutants that we bring into our own home.  Smoking, faulty boilers, chemicals given off by new furniture, perfumes, air fresheners and candles, paints and cleaning products, all commonly known as VOCs (Volatile organic compounds), dust mites that live in our beds, mould spores, and dander from family pets can all trigger allergic reactions. At this time of year there is also pollen from a range of plants that can trigger asthma and cause discomfort. On top of this we also have to contend with airborne viruses.

The Government is urging people to work from home where possible, and with uncertainty about future directives, it is likely that more of us will be confined to the home.

So why should you use an air purifier with a HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter? An air purifier works by removing allergens from the air. A True HEPA filter has been made to strict international regulations, and traps most bacteria, pathogens, microbial spores, pollens, and some virus particles. Capturing harmful particles and circulating clean air throughout a room, will help in keeping people healthy so their immune system is a tiny bit stronger to fight off any viruses. People should not rely on an air purifier to protect them from the coronavirus, as air purifiers have not been designed or tested to that level. Instead, they should follow the latest government guidelines to protect themselves.  But if families are going to spend more time indoors and in close proximity then using an air purifier will help the family’s general health and will provide protection from VOCs that are common in the home and airborne pollutants from outside.

One filter removes dust, another deals with particles such as dust mites and pollen. A charcoal filter eliminates smells, and an ultraviolet system (UVC) will destroy bacteria. Finally, an ioniser is said to encourage dust particles to stick together and fall to the ground or into the air purifier. Air filters are an important part in managing airborne allergens, and for serious sufferers, can make life a lot more bearable, particularly if used in the bedroom.

Meaco’s research has shown that air purifier selection often goes wrong as people do not match the allergy to the filter required, or they buy an air purifier that is too small for their room and it cannot clean the air efficiently.  The only way to reliably remove pollutants from the air is by circulating the entire volume of air in a room several times an hour, ensuring particles will enter the airflow of a filter, and the air will become cleaner. To select the correct one, you need to know what you’re allergic to and the cubic air volume of the room you want to clean. This would be calculated from the height, width and depth of the room in metres.

Make sure that the air purifier can actually remove what you are allergic to from the air and make sure that it can clean your air volume three times an hour for a mild allergy, five times an hour if you are on medication and eight times an hour if your allergy is serious.  Let the air purifier run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Put it on high fan speed when you are not in the room and turn it down to one of the quieter fan speeds when you are in the room.

Meaco has developed a next generation air purification range that includes the  MeacoClean  CA-HEPA 119×5 and  MeacoClean CA-HEPA 47×5),both ‘state of the art,’ offering a bespoke air purification experience to suit the allergy and room size.  Both have an Allergy UK seal of approval.

The MeacoClean range is a more advanced than many standard air purifiers. Meaco uses True HEPA filters, to provide a high standard of air cleaning, as part of a multistage filtration package, along with activated charcoal which helps to remove odours and VOCs from the air. It has a PCO (Photocatalytic Oxidation) system which is the most advanced ant-bacterial/virus system to date. PCO technology speeds up the reaction time to help kill bacteria and viruses. Another advantage of the MeacoClean is that the multiple filters cover the vast majority of allergens.

The larger MeacoClean CA-HEPA 119×5 has one of the highest CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) scores in Europe and is suitable for rooms from 74 to 198m³ depending on how severe the allergy is, while the smaller MeacoClean CA-HEPA 47X5 works in rooms between 29 and 78m³.

Here are some other ways to help stay healthy

  1. See your doctor before the season starts so that you have your medication right before the allergies start.
  2. Get used to checking the pollen count on a daily basis so that you can plan your day.
  3. Avoid drying clothes outside when the count is high as the pollen with stick to the clothes.
  4. Plan outdoor activities after any rain as the pollen count is lower after a shower.
  5. When you come home change your clothes so that you are not wearing clothes with pollen indoors and allowing the pollen to spread around the house.
  6. Spring clean the house so you are not sneezing and suffering whilst disturbing dust.
  7. Clean mould in the bathroom regularly to avoid the spread of mould spores.
  8. Ensure you have good ventilation in the bathroom and kitchen to remove excess moisture to avoid damp.
  9. Lower damp levels mean less mould spores and dust mites, if necessary look to buy a dehumidifier to reduce moisture levels.
  10. Make your bedroom an allergy free haven where you can rest and get a good night’s sleep.  Air purifiers provide a solution that can provide relief from these allergens.
