Here is a map to track coronavirus. #Coronavirus #China #JHCCSE

Coronavirus has been in the news some weeks now and you may have seen the videos and so on of where it originated from (Wuhan) which is not for ones with a weak stomach I might add. Now things have got real and this is worse than the SARS in 2002/2003 virus and WHO have declared a global emergency which does not sound good but it also means we should not be too complacent about it either.

There has been a case now confirmed in Northern Ireland but the biggest issue right now is containment of the fast spreading disease, I am not a health expert by any means but it is a good way to keep track of things with the live map released by John Hopkins CSSE.

Again realtime data is another thing to keep in mind with how accurate the information is a it has already been claimed by some nurses it is worse than it is and that begs the question on the construction of new hospitals in China and what information is being fed into the system.

Get access to the Map HERE and you can pin to your homescreen on your smartphone, tablet or laptop as a bookmark if you want to keep an eye on it, The Data sources are WHOCDCNHC and DXY.

The map is interactive and shows total deaths and total recovered and you can hover on any sight indexed with a red dot to get more information of that region. It is a great idea in the longrun and it is an option for those who want to keep up to date on how this is spreading.

European telecoms outlook 2020: 5G fanfare promises neither much growth – nor balance-sheet pain. #5G

The cost of auctions of 5G spectrum is set to remain well within the financing capacity of Europe’s operators, particularly in countries without new mobile entrants to bid up prices. Meanwhile, the technology itself will have no significant impact on revenues or capital expenditure.

“The credit outlook for European telecommunications operators in 2020 is stable: we expect the progressive introduction of 5G in Europe to be largely neutral for credit quality,” says Jacques de Greling, analyst at Scope.

“With 5G unlikely to transform the prospects for only modest sales growth in coming years, and with room for cross-border M&A limited, telecoms CFOs are focusing their minds on balance-sheet management to preserve credit ratings with increasingly conservative dividend policies and disposals of non-core assets,” says de Greling.

In many countries the spectrum for 5G is yet to be or is only partially allocated to operators, while infrastructure is only in the early stages of being set up. Deutsche Telekom reported initial 5G coverage in just eight cities in Germany, with around 450 antennas at end-2019. Consumers have only a small selection of relatively expensive 5G handsets to choose from – about 1% of mobile handsets shipped worldwide in Q3 2019 were 5G-compatible, according to research firm IHS.

Scope expects 5G – as was the case with 4G and 3G – to encourage increased data-consumption rather than generate revenue streams from new markets – such as Internet of Things, virtual reality, and digital-health applications – which are likely to remain niche.

Better news for operators is the modest financial burden that acquiring 5G spectrum will represent. High auction prices from unexpectedly competitive bidding in Italy in 2018 and in Germany in 2019 will remain the exception rather than rule. Infrastructure spending will also not increase significantly with 5G: operators can use existing towers to install new equipment as 3G, 4G spending winds down.

“Ignoring the marketing hype surrounding the 5G introduction, we expect revenues and EBITDA margins to remain stable,” says de Greling.

Operators have few options for external growth given the absence of synergies in transnational consolidation while Europe’s competition authorities have all but barred national mobile-sector consolidation. Few cable operators have the means to consolidate national fixed-mobile sectors.

“We anticipate some further asset disposals in maturing emerging markets and the spin-off of mobile towers and fibre networks, or partial listings, that should help operators protect credit quality,” says de Greling.

French operator Orange is typical of the trend, having recently both created a common subsidiary regrouping its activities in Africa and the Middle East, paving the way for a possible IPO, and earmarked fibre networks built for French departments for a partial sale.

Orange is also among several operators – including Vodafone PLC, Deutsche Telekom AG and Telefonica SA – which have put shareholders on alert for possible flat future dividends or even dividend cuts. “Conservative shareholder remuneration policies are the new normal,” says de Greling.

FUZE4 Nintendo Switch – Share Games You Have Created using FUZE4 Nintendo Switch with Anyone. Plus New Price Point! #Gaming #FUZE4

FUZE Technologies Ltd have announced that, on February 1st, the price for FUZE4 Nintendo Switch – their learn to code platform for Nintendo Switch – will be as follows:

UK £12.99

EU €14.99

US $19.99

The new price

Since the release of FUZE4 Nintendo Switch the community of FUZE users has grown and the community platform, FUZEArena has reached critical mass.

Jon Silvera, MD of FUZE states “We’re really excited to lower the price to a level that is truly accessible to the broadest possible audience. F4NS is, at its core, an educational application designed to make learning to code as accessible as possible, and as such, a low price point was always planned.”

FUZE Arena, the community portal

A new patch released in January added many new features to F4NS with undoubtedly the most important being open sharing. Whereas previously, projects could only be shared between friend IDs, now all projects can submitted to the FUZE Arena portal where they are given a unique code. The code can be entered in FUZE to download the project.

Projects are upvoted by users with the very best appearing in the FUZE Showcase for all to see. The FUZE Arena community portal provides an incredible resource for FUZE users. From tips from the pros, to the complete online help, to regular Game Jams, video tutorials and competitions, it’s a haven for coders of all abilities and talents.

A key objective behind the development of F4NS was to ensure it is easy to learn for absolute beginners and yet powerful and flexible enough for advanced coders to show off their ‘1337’ coding skillz! The FUZE community have already proved this objective has been met as there are many incredible looking games and technical demos currently available and more are being added every day.

New features

The latest patch also adds many new functions and commands including powerful 3D functions like intersect collision, object grouping and extended environment commands exponentially expanding the 3D creative possibilities. In addition, 2D also sees many new Tile Map functions dramatically increasing the scope of 2D level maps meaning complex levels can be interacted with and controlled with ease.

FUZE Player

Within the next few months FUZE are planning to release, for free, a special version of FUZE called the FUZE Player. The player allows Nintendo Switch users to download and play FUZE projects for free. If your project has made the grade on FUZE Arena it will be available for the world to see.. and play!

The future of FUZE

FUZE4 Nintendo Switch is just the beginning. Over the coming months teamFUZE will start working on new platforms with a plan to release these over the next 24 months.

With the latest new features and the new ‘very low’ price the time to get involved is right here, right now!

Review – The Podsbay True Wireless. #Podsbay #TrueWireless #Tech #Podsbay

This is our second pair of cloned true wireless from Podsbay and we have discussed the company before and will not dwell on it. You can check out the Blackpods killer review HERE and decide for yourself if you want to spend your money. As  I have stated there is always a risk buying from the internet but this company is legit and their products are good and also to note again is how long they will last and I simply cant answer that but I will check back in in a few months to let you know how the products are as I will be using them in between my usual testing.

These are the Airpods pro clone and there is many out there and some of them are total rubbish in every aspect be it discoloured, stickered parts and features and more so here is where you actually get your moneys worth with podsbay and a product that works.

Again you have all the features you expect and they work quite well plus like the blackpod killers they are loud and come with a nice level of bass, these again offer a good balance with highs lows and mids and good separation, little or no lag latency here either but one thing but I think it is down to my house build is the bluetooth connection and how far you go from your device this has happened with several of my earbuds but once in a straight line your fine.

Comfort is fine and these again have a better build quality including the tips provided in the box although for me I find the blackpods more comfortable but that is just me and my personal use case scenario.

Once again the price you pay is worth the risk you will be happy, they have the animated pop up window, instant pairing, siri, auto pause and more, See video for more. or https://podsbay.com/products/blackpods-tws

Review – The Podsbay Blackpods in Matte Black. #Podsbay #Tech #Truewireless #Blackpods

Podsbay is a company offering cloned products just like many others but some of those other have vanished overnight and offer pure rubbish for the money then there are some good ones and like anything else on the web there is a risk factor to consider but this company is not one of those to get your product but I have to say how long they last is another matter but you get your product and the product this time around is good and works well.

They look great out of the box so that is a good start but is that all there is to it? No it is how they sound and perform is what is important and these pass the test and work fine to this day and I have given them a good run the last while and I was happy with the performance and so will you.

They are cheap look good and sound good with a nice bass level too thrown in which is what many like to see, Good sensitive controls that offer play, pause and skip tracks and these also have auto pause which is not what you get wit lots of other copies out there so that was a bonus, they are also loud and louder than the real thing from Apple.

Comfort is great too and a great fit they will offer as much isolation as tipped earbuds but do a good job and stay put too in the ears once you are not over exerting yourself. Battery life is also good for the money here with the average 4 hours plus the additional charging you get from the case which for me was consitent.

Sound is quite good and well balanced with highs lows and mids and they are loud, they have a great bass level too and the average user will be easily pleased with these it is safe to say.

For the money you cant really complain but the market is now getting tough even at this price point now due to the influx of such product and current known brands, Check the video for more below.. Also check https://podsbay.com/products/blackpods-tws

Review – Speck Case round up for the iPhone 11. #Speck #iPhone11

Speck is a brand I have been using for a few years now with my mobile phones and a brand I can easily recommend if you are in the market for a new case and in particular an iPhone case as a new screen or rear panel is costly with Apple as we all know.

Speck have sent us three cases to check out for the iPhone 11 to look at and they all serve their purpose in every respect and protect your device from all side and angles so if you drop your phone you are protected 100%

The cases we have are the under the Presidio moniker and there is a wide range of cases to pick from and something for everyone’s pocket and fairly priced, Some might think cases are a bit expensive but like I always say it is a small investment and if you are one of those who like to go naked there is clear versions and if not you can remove the case when at home or in the office but you should always “case up” when going out in my book.

FOLIO CASE

We have the FOLIO / GRIP and PRO cases here and all come with dual layered protection. The Folio case offers some more though with a card slot inside the case and can also act as a media stand for your smartphone which saves you in the long run to go buying extra like stands so this one is great value for money covering everything and protecting your phone at the same time.

PRO CASE

SEE THE FULL LINE UP OF CASES HERE

The grip and pro cases are your standard case offering the same level of protection with extra grip and a great look, all case have a lip on the front which allows for you to place the device face down and of course the rear offers optimum protection too with the camera lens below surface level, All keys are tactile and work perfectly fine with nice travel and you also have access to your silence switch and charging port and the speaker remains free too allowing sound to get out, All three cases work with wireless charging which is great for those who use it and everyone should be and means your case does not have to be removed and you can just place it on whatever model of wireless charging unit you have.

GRIP CASE

Check out the video below on all three cases and let us know if you will be picking one up.

Features

13-foot drop-protection with IMPACTIUM cushioning

When dropped, IMPACTIUM, the protective material on the inside of the case cushions your phone like an airbag to absorb and disperse shock. This case has been dropped from 13 feet multiple times by independent labs and was designed for impact.

Adjustable viewing stand – Folio cases only

The cover of Presidio® FOLIO converts into a stand for easy hands-free viewing.

Secure & convenient credit card slot – Wallet and Folio case only

Two durable layers of protection

We fused a durable, polycarbonate outer shell to an inside layer of IMPACTIUM cushioning to provide two layers of protection in a slim and pocket-friendly case.

Raised bezel screen protection

This added bit of protection is designed to resist screen shatters or cracks for those times when your phone falls and lands face-down.

Allows for easy wireless charging

Presidio® SHOW was designed to be thin enough to allow for easy wireless charging.

3rd party tested & approved

Independently lab-tested for multiple real-life situations, including extreme drops and temperatures, chemicals, antenna interference, cracks and abrasions, device bending, and more.

First look at the Withings Move ECG #Withings #WithingsMoveECG #Health #Tech

I have been a fan of Withings since launch and been using some of their products and one up until recent which is the SPORTS HYBRID which I like and others that have seen it like too and they often ask what kind of watch this is and love the idea and simplicity. Withings have been around a few years but Nokia bought them and then sold the company back who has went on to produce some really nice smart devices since and recently announced a new line up at CES 2020 and they did not disappoint and I have my eye on one already.

Today we have the Move ECG and they have got things right here when it comes to price and give others a run for their money.. If like me and you like to have a companion device there is no need to shed out hundreds of euro for one, This one does not have the little window on top but it is something I will get over and I can view the information via the app which works really well and is very consistent with updates and you can customise what you want to see in the app and your notification levels. With a one year battery life too that is another thing you dont need to worry about… Another charger in your house… Anyway today is a quick unboxing and first look and we will go through all the features in what this has to offer in our full review soon.

Any questions as usual hit us up below or on social.
