Since announcement a few weeks ago, the response has been positive..
As we all now know Nokia are back in the game and they have brought a few new devices to market and they are set to go on sale in Q2. As of now there is no exact date, Since the launch people have been in touch asking about the new devices and if there was any info at hand due to me being a huge Nokia fan and I have also been asked if I will sport the new devices and of course the answer is YES…
I have reached out to all the networks regarding the matter as many folk on local forums are questioning the availability of the 3 new devices since other countries are now showing details and here is the response I got today from all three networks but stay tuned for updates over the coming weeks..
If you need anymore on the new NOKIA devices head over HERE…
For NOW – Three have stepped up to the plate and have confirmed that all Three of the new Android devices will be launching on their network but Meteor and Vodafone have no concrete answer just yet…
Twitter has problems, this is one of them and they have a lot more to do..
Twitter has announced new measures to tackle abuse and trolls on the platform today. However as it stands with the Micro Blogging site there is to much transparency issues throughout and this wont save them..They just wont listen to its core users…
We’re also introducing new filtering options for your notifications to give you more control over what you see from certain types of accounts, like those without a profile photo, unverified email addresses or phone numbers. Many people requested more filter options for their notifications, and we’re excited to bring these to everyone on Twitter.
We’re also expanding the mute feature to build on the work we did in November which lets you remove certain keywords, phrases, or entire conversations from your notifications. Now, you’ll be able to mute from your home timeline and you can decide how long this content is muted – one day, one week, one month, or indefinitely. This was another big request from you and we’re looking forward to rolling it out.
You can read their full post herebecause frankly when I see more transparency I will believe it…. Until then…

Piccadilly features the world’s first Metallic D3O technology to perfectly colour match your iPhone AND keep it safe
The people of the UK have spoken! When looking for a new case to protect their all-important smart phone, consumers are looking for maximum protection, high quality materials without making the case bulky and a great colour (according to an NPD survey).
Maybe this is why then, the Piccadilly phone case, featuring D3O technology from GEAR4, the number one trusted impact protection case brand, has proven to be one of the best-selling cases over the last year in the UK as it ticks all of these boxes.
Featuring the same D3O impact absorbing technology that is trusted worldwide in U.S military combat uniforms, American football helmets and protective gear worn by pro athletes (including Usain Bolt), the stylish Piccadilly case for iPhone and Samsung devices boasts unrivalled protection without adding bulk or unsightly padding.
iPhone 7
In fact, the level of protection offered by the Piccadilly case was independently tested at Cranfield Impact Centre (the UK’s leading independent test centre for F1 and defence) and it topped the charts. When impacted three times on its side from 1.7 metres (ear height), it was proven that GEAR4 D3O cases transfer less force than competitors by 30 percent. Not only this, on average the GEAR4 D3O range was also 53 percent lighter than other competitive cases.
GEAR4 is the first case brand to use injectable metallic D3O to perfectly colour match the iPhone in Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and Black delivering more impact protection per cubic millimetre than other leading materials. Piccadilly is scratch-protected with UV coating and offers easy access to all ports.
iPhone 7 Plus
So what exactly is D3O?
D3O materials in their raw state flow freely when moved slowly, but on shock, lock together to absorb and disperse energy, before instantly returning to their flexible state. This reaction is counter intuitive. The greater the force of the impact, the more the molecules lock together and the greater the protection meaning your device stays safe when dropped.
The GEAR4 Piccadilly case is available for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus for £29.99 from Carphone Warehouse and www.gear4.com
Fancy a quick bargain well here is one you should pick up which normally retails at €39. Google Chromecast Audio is now just €14.99 at Currys/PCWorld this is great value..

Jameson is pleased to share its first NFC enabled bottle in Ireland – by tapping the crest on the limited edition design label with an NFC enabled Android device, users will be led to exclusive content and competitions.
To date I find NFC technology underused and for the length of time its been actually here we are a bit behind like cast your mind back to 2014 when the Nokia Lumia 730 came out, this has NFC and it kicked off really from there but even before this in 2006 we had an NFC capable device called the Nokia 6131, This technology can make life simple and in recent times with the introduction of Android Pay we now see it in some banks but not all and hopefully in the coming year this will grow across the board with the banks and we will see more ideas come to life taking advantage of this technology..
Every year Jameson celebrates St. Patrick’s Day by commissioning an artist to create a piece of original art for its Limited Edition Bottle, and this year Jameson has taken this creativity a step forward by introducing the brand’s first ‘connected’ bottle. When the Jameson family crest on Steve McCarthy’s limited edition label is tapped with an NFC-enabled Android device, the user will get access to exclusive competitions and content.
Jameson is leading the way in the Irish market by incorporating this playful technology which, until now, many consumers would only be familiar with as a payment method built in to phones. By bringing this technology out of hiding and capitalising on the development of the Internet of Things, Jameson is engaging with customers in a new way, reflecting a customer-led desire for experiences from brands and products. The campaign has been developed with an ongoing partnership between Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard and SharpEnd – the UK’s first Internet of Things agency – and follows research done at the Absolut Company’s innovation lab in Stockholm. The Limited Edition Bottle is Jameson’s first NFC enabled product in Ireland. There is an ease of use with NFC technology when compared to other methods of product interaction such as QR codes; there are no scanning apps to download and launch to gain access to the content.
This should serve to increase completions of the user journey which will allow consumers to receive valuable content from the interaction, for example, the opportunity to win instant prizes. Engaging with the NFC enabled bottle will allow users to enter competitions and win prizes in two ways:
Instant Win – Complete the simple user journey for the chance to instantly win a pair tickets for a tour of the soon to be reopened Jameson Distillery Bow St.
Ultimate Jameson Experience – Complete the simple user journey to be in with the chance to win the Ultimate Jameson Experience in Dublin for St Patrick’s Day. The prize includes tickets to Bow St Sessions on March 16th as well as overnight accommodation and transfers.
The Limited Edition Bottle 2017 will be available worldwide, but the NFC technology will only be enabled for Irish users. With this local targeting, Jameson can connect with its customers in a meaningful way by tapping in to consumer behavior and trends and work towards the goal of celebrating St Patrick’s Day – the Jameson way.
Catherine Casserly, Jameson Marketing Director for Ireland, comments:
“We are thrilled as a brand to be leading the way in using NFC enabled products as a marketing tool in Ireland. Jameson continues to grow all over the world and we are always looking for new ways to engage consumers in a meaningful way. This Limited Edition Bottle is the first Jameson ‘connected’ bottle and we are delighted to be able to debut this innovative technology in our home market.”
Cameron Worth, founder of SharpEnd comments:
“Bottles are now able to drive localised content, providing an entirely new way to communicate with consumers and bringing the brand directly in front of their target audience, presenting the opportunity to drive brand loyalty through service delivery. The Jameson connected bottle is another step in the right direction for the Pernod Ricar
The Jameson Limited Edition Bottle is available now at €29.99 RRP.
