Apple today have unveiled some new iPods,the shuffle and the nano in a choice of 6 colours. It has been a long time since I have even seen one of these so for now they are not dead..

The touch now boasts an 8-megapixel camera plus a 64-bit A8 processor.This has been the first upgrade since 2012 all are now available to see on the Apple Store

The 16GB iPod touch is €239, 32GB model is 64GB model is €289 and the 128GB iPod touch will be €469 seems pretty steep for a music player…

Apple dish up two ads to remind us the iPhone is the iPhone #Apple #iPhone

Apple are not short of cash and can do pretty much what they like so hats off in that respect,BUT they have posted to new ads for us to watch and gently remind us what the iPhone is and how one aspect of the device complements the other and how they make everything…Having owned the 6+ myself and quickly got bored until Apple make the devices less locked down for my taste they can keep them…Sorry Apple I do like the phones but not the OS..

Apple are said to introduce more devices later in the year which will be no doubt the best handsets in the world when announced….In the second video they say 99% of people love their iPhone,would love to know what that 1% has to say..

Good news for Apple fans even though its a beta,a word we mostly see from Microsoft but now you can now Download the beta today. But before you do back up everything as per norm or use it on a secondary device if you have one. Apple will release periodical updates in the interim and this give users a chance to test it out and give feedback. If you sign up now for the beta you can still get the full update later in the year..If you are downloading EL CAPITAN on mac its best to store on another partition….

iOS 9 will host an array of new features such as Proactive search, Transit in Apple Maps, and a new Notes application..

Game of Thrones recently finished up but personally I never watched much of it,but for those that are missing the series there is now an app where you can text-bomb your friends with quotes from the series,Welcome to the, Game of Quotes the new keyboard app and it is on iOS only for now….

The parental functions (adding/removing piggies, sending/removing coins) are protected by a pin code that you create in the beginning so there is no worry about the children getting to do something they are not supposed to.This is a nice built in feature as kids are much more clever these days with the amount of technology that surrounds us.

There is an app for just about anything these days and recently we even seen one for Marmite,but this app is much more useful than the Marmite app and it can tell you where your nearest Garda Station is.

The app has been created by John Keane and is GPS based which gives you the nearest stations with all the details required and its all free.You can also search the app for stations too should you need to do so.

 

Future additions are on the way such as hospitals which again sounds like a neat idea.

Apple folds under pressure from Taylor Swift. #AppleMusic #TaylorSwift #Apple

Taylor Swift love her or hate her is a powerful woman and recently wrote a blog post citing she will not be putting her new album on Apples music service in a blog post HERE she said the following and it seems to have worked a treat and Apple have now said they will pay up which is proper order.

“Three months is a long time to go unpaid, and it is unfair to ask anyone to work for nothing. I say this with love, reverence, and admiration for everything else Apple has done. I hope that soon I can join them in the progression towards a streaming model that seems fair to those who create this music. I think this could be the platform that gets it right.

But I say to Apple with all due respect, it’s not too late to change this policy and change the minds of those in the music industry who will be deeply and gravely affected by this. We don’t ask you for free iPhones. Please don’t ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation”

Apple has pulled the iPad mini from the Apple store. #Apple #iPad #Discontinued

Apple has silently pulled the ipad mini from the store here in Ireland as well as everywhere else by the looks of things and this of course does make some sense due to its age and as per norm with most tech items they do have a shelf live in retail,but you can be sure to find them with resellers on the net or in retail here as most electrical stores do sell them,there may be some inventory left and it could be either pulled or sold off cheap but i would be weary with the warranty..

 

The tablet has been on the market since 2012 so its had a good run to be fair and it was time to move along and discontinue the model,Apple do the same with their iPhones so its nothing to worry about its just the life cycle of the product.
