Flic is a wireless Bluetooth button. It gives you the ability to simply press a button to control the things around you. This initially sounds like a gimmick that’s a nice idea but in practice would not be used. After using the button for a few weeks this became part of everyday use.

The Flic has a small watch battery which advised will last for 18 months these batteries CR 2016 are easily available from Pound / euro shops. This save having to use a usb charger to charge another product. You can attach the Flic to a wall / table etc via the adhesive sticker or via the “clip” option to your belt etc.
Setup:
Setup is easy, Download the App Flic (Flic app which is available for Android and iOS.) then run the app enter the usual name email etc. The App has got a good rating of 4 out of 5 from 1,006 total reviews. The app is paired with your smartphone, which can then perform a multitude of tasks. Once installed you are given 3 sets of options,You can set different functions to happen for these button commands:

Hold
There is a variety of option which can be set up, e.g. Uses

The Flic smart button is different doing the simple things well and easy. This unit is not marketed to those with a disability but they may find it very beneficial. This Flic was set up initially to find my phone and turn on lights, changing the shortcut was easy. After a couple of weeks of use I have become used to it using in daily for variety of shortcuts. I like this Dash cam in terms of the colour, as many of the technology providers provide products in black / white aimed generally at the male market. This 312GW Dash Cam can be used by male & female but targeted to females as per the colour which is great to see the inclusion, this model is also available in the standard black also.
UNBOXING
Set up.
The setup is easy, insert SD card, clip on the bracket, plug in and use, the 312GW Dash Cam will work practically straight away the default setting is Miles per hour. ( see video ) Setting Km takes less than a minute. The iN-CAR CAM is set to record video, in files of 3 minutes in length. ( mov format, size approx. 271 MB ) The Time and Date are automatically set upon the camera from satellite data, however it will always set Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Yom may have to adjust for (GMT+ 1 in the summer ). There are 3 modes of camera operation – Video, Photo and Playback. Video Mode: The default mode when the camera is turned on, for video recording. Photo Mode: Allows you to take still photographs. Playback mode: Allows you to view recorded video or photographs upon the dash cam LCD screen. Reset button
I like that there is a Reset button on the bottom of the unit should the CAM become unresponsive, I have not experienced this but good to know its available should I need it.
Powered Magnetic Click&Go Mounting
This bracket is excellent, you can remove the Dashcam from the vehicle without having to disconnect any wires, this can be done with 1 hand and easy fitted or removed.
Wi-Fi built in
This allows you to save footage direct to you phone using the app Cam Viewer app. Unfortunately, this has only got 2.3 out of 5 from reviews out of 282 reviews. This may be due to part, buffering when transferring over files from the dashcam to your phone. The app allows Live View, Playback and Upload. The app is compatible with Nextbase NBDVR312GW, NBDVR412GW and NBDVR512GW. You can also connect to a Laptop via USB cable, or remove the SD card from the Dashcam and place into your laptop via an adapter.
Note the memory card is not included, Nextbase do have an option of a card while most manufacturers cards will work if formatted. If you go down the road of getting a brand from eBay etc, this may be a poor choice as the camera records over the original data after approx. 3.7 hours for a 32 Gb card. Cheaper SD card may work for a week or too but could cause issues on play back due to their quality and should the worst happen, you could have not had footage. Nextbase recommend reformat the memory card every 2-3 weeks.
GPS
The dashcam has recording of 30fps in 1080p High Definition which is of great quality even when viewed on a 46’’ LED TV. but what’s great about this is the Built-in GPS which give accurate location throughout a journey and speed information. Should an accident occur, the speed and location, date and time is clearly displayed for viewing.
Warranty
This is my only gripe with the Nextbase units “Nextbase products players come with a 12-month UK warranty from new” support is available via support@nextbase.co.uk, the product build quality and design is great, but I would prefer Nextbase to stand out from the crowd with a 3-year warranty. Most other brands only give a 1 year warranty also.
We have used dash cams for over a year now, any professional driver would be well advised to use one to cover themselves in the event of an accident. Drivers with L, P, N plates may find it beneficial to review their driving or cover themselves as the instinct would be to blame inexperienced driver for most accidents. Those of you that drive a Motorbike can use the Nextbase RIDE Motorcycle BikeCam .
If money is not an option, Nextbase DUO looks great, (which we have not tested yet!) this has a front and rear dash cam dual lens to offer all round protection on the road. This can view the front like other dash cams, but a second camera has a 50 metre zoom lens and looks back through your rear windscreen to capture details of the cars behind you. This covers you both from the front and back. (Note the storage time drops to 2.4 hours and then records over itself)

This is compatible with 12-24Vdc for car or truck installations, this hardwire kit is permanently wired to into your vehicle which Halfords charge an extra tenner to fit, which is well worth it.
Interesting on the Argos website, they advise regarding the 312GW Dash Cam “97% would recommend to a friend” I certainly would be of that view.
PayPal and Skype users in 22 countries – including Ireland – can now send money from PayPal directly in their Skype mobile app. With this new app, people in Ireland can send money ‘in the moment’ to friends and family in Ireland and 21 other countries, including the United States and UK. More than $7 million an hour is sent to family and friends globally through PayPal services.
The partnership with Skype is another example of how PayPal is enabling users to send money in more places and in new contexts, online and on mobile. This year, PayPal has also integrated with Siri for iPhone users, in the Slack messenger app and in email via Microsoft’s Outlook.com.

The ability to send money with PayPal on Skype is starting to rollout today to PayPal and Skype users in the United States, United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. The feature will initially be rolled out to Skype customers on the latest version of Skype for iOS and Android mobile devices.
These blue-turquoise speakers are compact and light, easily portable if on the move, they are also available in black-grey / red-white / white-yellow.
The quality is surprisingly good, the dynamic range and base may not be as good as speakers costing 100s of euro but I suspect 90% of listeners would not notice this. The sound is based on your perspective attitude. Play your Spotify which can have low, high and extreme sound quality settings. The normal setting is 96 kbps, the high is 160 kbps and extreme is 320kbps. Apple Music is streamed at 256Kbps in AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) format. Until recently, extreme quality was only available on Spotify’s desktop program, but it is now available for iOS as well. Play music from a download web site (we are not endorsing the illegal download of music) which by its nature will have a dubious quality music. There is no point in paying hundreds of euro for speakers and output low quality music to your speakers. If you want HD quality sound, (higher than 44.1 kHz sample rate and/or higher than 16-bit linear bit depth.) invest in appropriate music to your speakers and expensive speakers.

The power lead is excellent been a USB lead, this means you can plug into your laptop and play music direct, or plug (in this case an iPhone 6s) via the jack plug with the usb direct to a standard phone audio socket. Alternatively, if out an about you can plug directly into the usb lead into a power bank, and the Jack Plug direct in your phone! sorted on the move. (admittedly the cables are a bit short which helps to avoid clutter from the cables, especially when on the move)
The speakers appear sold worldwide which is confirmed by the multiple languages on the instructions (which are of little use), I suspect due to the high volume of manufactured units the bulk orders have improved the quality while reducing the cost.
If you happy with realistic sound then these speakers will fit the bill, this is a speaker that won’t break the bank.

I like the monitor which comes with sound level lights, which can easily be seen, even if the sound is turned off, as the sound level increases the light gets brighter. Again, the temperature display works well, should the temperature deviate above or below 16 and 24 degrees, there is an alert. The TwoWay Talk back is handy especially when one parent goes to the room and forgets something. The Starand Moon Lightshow projects gentle coloured shapes onto your baby’s ceiling to calm your baby.There is also lullabies to help them drift off to sleep. The HD audio is quite clear with no interferenceheard. I can’t fault the audio.
Why BT?
BT previous range of baby monitors had won multiple awards, this new range of monitors appear to follow the previous strengths of the older models in terms of simplicity and reliability, while this model will not break the bank but does the job that required.
When deciding on a Baby monitor, the first step is checking what’s important to you, how far is the room away from where the cot is, do you want just audio / video, digital / analogue, can you get interference from wi-fi, mobile phones, your budget, below is a over view of the main features of the BT range..
Dislikes:
The units come with a 1 year warranty, (more expensive baby monitors, still only come with a 1 year warranty) This is not just a BT issue, most of the Baby Monitor manufactures provide only a 1 year warranty) BT advise on their manual we are always looking to make our products last longer and use less power, so we don’t have such a big impact on the environment, my suggestion is to give a free 3-year warranty. Stand out from the crowd!
The charger comes supplied with the package as a 6 V- 400ma charger, again another charger while over 90% of the population in Europe will have a standard usb charger in the home, (or a power pack at hand) why not use the same leads saving unnecessary clutter. In fairness on the above dislikes, this is nit-picking and should not put you off this product, rather turning a very good product into 100% within its category.

This is the swiss army knife of watches, it looks & feels strong, rugged for the outdoors with all the trimmings for use where ever you go. This may look like a watch for the great outdoors,or an adventurer’s best friend but if you’re with your mates of a Friday night, heading into a board room meeting, this watch will certainly catch their attention, it looks and feels good, built like a tank and array of features to go with it.

First the charging, as with many products we have issues with the different type of chargers its proprietry charging used, Again Cassio have gone with a different type, but what a good choice, Magnetic charging terminal, this clicks to the side of the watch easily, connected / disconnected with out any concentration. Again, they got it right in terms of using a standard USB charger, meaning you could your own phone charger if stuck or if out and about, use a power brick. Setting up:
Setting up initially will take time, this is like setting up a new phone, Bluetooth to your phone,copy contacts over, download an app to your phone, (Android Wear) allowing your contacts to be copied to the phone. The Watch was paired to an android phone. Available also on iOS

Once set up and running, the buttons take a while to get used to. Google maps worked great, (especially as you can download offline maps) with the low-power GPS. This Supports positioning data from three satellites. The array of application in terms of altitude, finding my
phone, fit, fit workout, activity. Play store, translate, weather and the option to download many more app, The Activity option can track activities like snow sports, cycling and fishing giving allot of data on the routes.
This is cool from the App, depending on your mood, on your phone, e.g. watch face, Touch the watch face that you require on your smart phone, this instantly changes via Bluetooth to your phone to have the same watch face. As expected if you get a message e.g. WhatsApp
this beeps on the phone with sender details from your contact listing.
Is it worth the money!
Wether you are into toys for the boys, gadgets or an avid outdoor fan, its got a well packed array
of features, style and technology in one piece of kit.

Here at Techbuzz we like the devolo products, plug them in and they work, no firewall configuration, no IP address configuration setup. They just work and provide a 3-year warranty which is impressive. Techie & non-techie can use this devolo Gigagate.
The base station and satellite pair together automatically, so there’s no technical set-up required, this gave fast, reliable internet connection, this took 60 seconds for the base station and satellite to connect to each other. My current speed normally reads over 40 Mbps when in the same room as the standard router, I experience issues when there is a variety of gadgets connected taking up the bandwidth. Those of a technical nature can use the devolo Cockpit configuration software tool to monitor and optimise their dLAN® network. Available for Windows, Macs and Ubuntu. There is a software wizard for optimisation of the transmission rate in the dLAN® network and enables adapter updates over the network. Review Test
This was tested with my standard router which gave a reading of 42 Mbps, then connected with the devolo Gigagate, I got a reading of 71Mbps. This was from the same location which was a great improvement. Again, various products were connected, Laptops, Tablets, phones, smart TV, and a games consoles simultaneously these had a video played on each and watched the result. Normally this would result in slow internet often having to reboot the router, on this occasion there appeared to be no delays or drop in signal.
Again, devolo do the simple things well, I like this feature: Deactivating the LEDs on the device LED settings, Device LEDs on/off. The LED status display can be disabled by enabling the option Device LEDs, such as for avoiding unwanted lighting in a bedroom. The LED status display is activated in the factory default state.
Overview
Having a good view out of the window of a home is considered less important than having a good broadband connection for some homebuyers. I am in this category.Technology improvements, including fast, reliable internet around the home / business allows working from home a reality. The first observation on the packaging, this product is designed for the world marked with a variety of languages on the box. The word Discovery Calm stands out. This was reviewed using an iPhone 6s. (There is an android version also)
I have used other fitness / activity type units but this one gets big thumbs up for the Wireless charging plate, no messing with USB charger leads fitting into the back of the unit, Battery life states up to seven days. This is possible under ideal conditions; my battery was less than this. (possible as I leave my phone away from me at night, Bluetooth using the battery). Charge time is three hours. Another great positive is the design, as designed to withstand an accidental trip through the washing machine.
This has not been tested but great to see the basics sorted. Again, the design team have got this right in terms of wearing which can be clipped onto your pants (or ladies to their bra) to track steps, calories and respiratory patterns. After a day or 2 of use, you can forget its attached due to the small size and weight. Again, if you lose the Spire in the house there is an option via the app to “Vibrate my Spire”. If your Spire is within Bluetooth range, approx. 10 meters, the “Vibrate my Spire” button will rock back and forth when you tap on it.

Dislikes:
The warranty is for One year. This is one my pet hates, one year while many brands give a 3-year warranty on their products.
This device is great when the app is working but on occasions the app stopped working, closing the app and restarting resolved this.
