The new Sennheiser SoundProtex hearing protection earplugs enable wearers to hear the best possible sound at concerts and loud environments without having to worry about damaging their hearing. Many people will be familiar with that ringing sound in the ears after a concert, and that’s not a healthy thing. Music fans are often turned off from using earplugs as they can make it feel like the band or DJ is playing under water, which can ruin the concert experience. Utilising the brand’s extensive knowledge of sound, the Sennheiser SoundProtex enhances the live music experience in a safe way.
Perfect for enjoying concerts and festivals
The advanced high-fidelity ear plugs have patented membrane filter technology. This gives users the opportunity to enjoy perfectly balanced and full frequency sound without damaging their hearing. It preserves all the sonic details that make music brilliant and beautiful. By reducing the sound pressure that reaches your ear, the filter lowers potentially harmful volume levels so that users can listen safely for longer. The decibel level at many rock concerts, for example, is above 100 dB, and exposure to such decibel levels for more than 15 minutes already puts the listener at risk of hearing damage.
Balanced sound to preserve ambient awareness
The two-stage filters in SoundProtex are uniquely capable of passing on only clear, balanced sound to a user’s ears. The combination of a tuned membrane and a sound dampening mesh reduces high and low frequencies in equal measure. To understand speech, people rely heavily on higher frequency details. But standard earplugs can mask those details. The perfectly balanced SoundProtex filters keep enough of the higher frequencies to preserve ambient awareness —so users can still have a normal conversation at a concert.
Long lifetime
Unlike single-use earplugs, SoundProtex can be used as often as users like. Just wipe them off after use or rinse them under water. Three sizes of ear tips are included in the standard package which also comes with a small pouch bag. This way, everyone can enjoy a comfortable, secure fit for hours on end. The soft, flexible, medical-grade TPE material is free of plasticisers and other substances that could irritate the sensitive skin in ears.
Multiple use cases
SoundProtex is also great to enjoy some peace and quiet on the road or in a noisy office when users need to concentrate. And whenever the goal is to eliminate as much sound as possible, pop in the included full block filter. It’s perfect any time a user wants complete quiet to relax or sleep and as it is air-and water-tight, it even protects ears from water when swimming.
SoundProtex Plus
The Sennheiser SoundProtex Plus comes with everything included in SoundProtex as well as two additional acoustic filters allowing people to choose between three different levels of sound attenuation to cover any situation from noisy offices to loud concerts.
Choose the strongest filter with an estimated single number rating (SNR) of 20 dB for loud music, motorsports, or power tool use. Medium is perfect for festivals, events, or travelling, with an estimated SNR of 17 dB. The low filter is suitable for quieter or non-amplified concerts, noisy offices, or visiting bars and restaurants and has an estimated SNR of 10 dB. Or, when you want nothing but silence, pop in the total block filter. SoundProtex Plus has the right filters for practically any situation.
Pricing and availability
The Sennheiser SoundProtex and SoundProtex Plus will be available for pre-order on May 16, 2023, and will go on sale on May 30, with an MSRP of 34.99 and 69.99 GBP respectively.
TOZO is a new brand to the channel and we like new things here and especially earbuds, we test all types size and price so consumers can get a look at what there is out there and what you get for your money and we have had plenty of messages about these new buds over the last while and the usual question is how they sound so we have the answer now and it is not only the sound that is good it is the look and they come in at around 140 euros depending on region.
The presentation was good and it is also nice to see a good presentation as it goes along way when selling a product in my book as you would have seen in the unboxing they come in a nice presentation all round and with great packaging too..
The fit is another question I was asked about and the fit is excellent and with the right tips it will be for anyone else and again I say it all the time that you should check the tips in the box for the best results overall, the block much of the outside world when you get the right tips and then you need to get moving on playing with the app and there you will do a test to get the optimal settings and you are good to go.
They look cool with a very short stem too and garner attention, as I am always out in my local town people are always curious to see what is in my ears and several people asked about these and complimented on the looks which is a good thing and they are sleek looking in Black shiny coated earbuds with the Gold brand lettering.
Next up is the case, again questions asked as not many have seen cases with the charge indicator display which is not new to me and not a new feature on a case but I love it and all earbuds cases should have it present as it looks good and gives you info at a glance for your own peace of mind.
X1 meets the treble to 44.1kHz which higher than the 20kHz that human can hear. It can even restore the ultrasonic sound of dolphins. The Balanced Armature Driver can excellently reproduction high-frequency sounds such as guitar metals, treble cymbal for drums, etc.
The sound. Always the key question from people and of course me as a tester I was curious as to how these would check out after testing and the news is all good here, superb ANC and more which you will see in the screenshots below and the video review.
The level of customisation to get the right sound is top notch here and audio heads will enjoy the level they go to here and the options at hand, the sound quality for me is excellent and better than I had anticipated here with great bass and much more all round for those who want a top notch audio experience and for your gaming, movies and music you will not be disappointed here and also to note I done some teams and other calls similar and spent quite some time on that aspect and the quality again excellent, even walking down a street in one instance doing a teams chat and it was excellent quality with little or nothing getting in from the outside.
The TOZO Golden X1 is equipped with LDAC technology, which can stream 24bit/96khz music (also known as high- resolution audio music) via Bluetooth at speeds up to 990 kbit/s, which can transmit data more than 3 times compared to the ordinary Bluetooth SBC.
We have no auto play or pause here which is no huge deal we have wireless charging which is great for me and those who have adopted it and have wireless chargers all over the house and speaking of charging and battery longevity we do get around 31 hours with the case which is good, you can fast charge with the USB- Cable or wireless charge.
The App
Conclusion
Overall these are a really fine tuned pair of earbuds and for those who want some more for their money and at an affordable price considering what is on offer with the overall package here. Check out the review and we also check out their app below.

Fairphone is a brand well known for their mobile phones and being able to repair them yourself or the right the repair might be a better way to put this and this company lets you do that all by yourself which other manufacturers should take note of. We had their last phone to review the Fairphone 4 and was quite a hit with us and others and now they have just launched a pair of headphones into the mix and we have been testing these out for some time now and we can tell you how they fair out.
The presentation is top notch and on point as with any product they have on offer with and hints about climate change and sustainability which many manufacturers are now trying to do following the steps of Fairphone. You can read more on that below.
The fit is excellent here and very comfortable to wear and no issues wearing for many hours at a time like I tend to do and it just gets better from there, First up the ANC it is one of the best if not the best I have seen in a long time and you have to try it to believe it, simply nothing gets in from the outside no matter if outdoors or indoors and this for me is great but you can also change them to hear what is going on around you for safety purposes. The sound is excellent too and offers several preset choices to pick from but I would like to see more additions to the app as time goes on within the app but for now it is fine and how they sound is also fine and an excellent audio experience to be had.
I love the control feature on these which is like a small navi key and this is something I would like to see more of instead of buttons and here you do not miss out on any functions either you can still play pause, skip and reverse tracks and adjust the volume with no issues at all.
What is important to note here is being able to fix the headphones yourself just like their phones in the past and this should be taken on board by all manufacturers going forward in my opinion and it just makes like easier for everyone all round.
By introducing Fairbuds XL, Fairphone is applying its market-leading experience in making sustainable, repairable smartphones. The headphones are produced with the same values used to make all Fairphone devices – focus on people and planet. Like all Fairphone devices, the headphones are designed to last. The modular construction and spare parts make them easy to repair, which lets users enjoy and keep their device for longer. Fairbuds XL allow for the replacement of parts that can
wear over time, such as the ear cushions. The long-term use of electronics isn’t only great for the user experience, it also helps reduce their environmental footprint. The headphones are the next step in Fairphone’s journey to develop fair and long-lasting audio devices, after launching its first generation earbuds in 2021.
Eva Gouwens, CEO of Fairphone, comments: “After spending almost 10 years making sustainable smartphones, we are ready to expand our focus and bring sustainability to a new category of audio products. We’re introducing our unique core features – fair materials, improved working conditions, our climate conscious approach and repairability – to the market and raising the bar on impact for people and planet, in the headphone segment. Fairbuds XL are for users who are searching for a sustainable alternative on the market and want to push for change in the electronics industry.”
Fairphone’s focus on people and planet has been its key market differentiator, making Fairphone the market leader in sustainable electronics. Through its dual focus on the social and environmental impact on the supply chain, Fairphone is
setting an example and pushing the industry to act more responsibly.
• Fairbuds XL are among the most sustainably designed headphones on the market. They have Fairtrade gold integrated in the supply chain and are made with vegan leather as well as several recycled materials, such as 100% recycled plastic in all parts it can be used in, 100% recycled aluminium in structural elements such as the headband base and recycled tin. The travel
pouch is made from 100% recycled polyester and nylon.
• Fairphone will pay 0.55 USD per headphone to fill the living wage gap of the production line workers, and is working with the supplier on improving working conditions based on workers’ needs.
• Fairbuds XL are climate-conscious, meaning that Fairphone takes action to reduce the carbon footprint of the Fairbuds XL through longer use, using recycled materials and also investing in carbon reduction projects that lower CO2 emissions while benefiting the surrounding communities. The amount Fairphone invests in these projects equals the left over amount of carbon
emissions created throughout the life-cycle of the headphones after
reduction measures.
According to recent figures, in 2021 alone 548 million headphones were sold and sales volumes have increased since 2013. The electronics industry faces a make use-dispose attitude driven by a business model that encourages short product life cycles, which has caused an electronic waste (e-waste) problem that increases each year. Despite being one of the fastest growing waste streams, only a small fraction of e-waste (17.4%) is actually taken back to be recycled. The electronics industry is
also dealing with a steep demand for minerals needed to make electronics, as well as poor working conditions for millions of people working in mines and factories.

It’s clear that the industry needs to change its practices. With each product launched, Fairphone wants to show how an industry that cares for people and planet could look like in practice. In addition to being climate conscious and fair, the headphones also provide users with superior sound quality, strong bass, warm mids and clear bright highs, delivered by a 40mm dynamic driver and enhanced with state-of-the-art noise cancellation. Two-point bluetooth connection ensures that users switch seamlessly between devices. The headphone’s replaceable battery encourages longevity with a long lasting battery that has a lifetime of up to 30 hours. While being a modular device, the headphones have IP54 certification, meaning they are weather resistant.
The headphones also come with the Fairbuds App, available on Play Store and App Store, which allows users to change the Signature EQ presets (professionally tuned by Sonarworks) and tune the headphones to their preferences. The app will also
give quick access to support such as quick start guides, tutorials, support articles and customer service. It will also ensure longevity by allowing users to update their headphones over time, introduce new features and provide occasional bug-fixes.
Users will also be able to order replacement parts if repairs are needed, as well as learn about the parts that make up the headphones. Fairphone relied on the expertise of Sonarworks, a world-leader in sound calibration, to deliver the signature sound of Fairbuds XL. The company has had its technology used by Grammy-Award winning engineers recording with top artists such as Lady Gaga, Madonna, Rihanna, Adele and Coldplay. Fairphone headphones will be available from 11 May on Fairphone’s website and selected partners, at a suggested retail price of €249. The two variants of the device
that will be available: green speckled and black speckled.

I test many headphones here and when Pioneer asked me to check these out we just had too and before I go any further I am by no means a DJ, never was or will be one but I am familiar with the equipment and what is involved and I do have some DJ friends and that is as far as it goes but these headphones can also be used in a personal capacity with simple things you may have at home and they work, work really well in fact. I would have preferred the Bluetooth option to check out as there would be more to talk about but we shall tell you what is going on here with these bad boys.
Build
These are built really well it must be said and for DJ headphones this must be the case with strengthened stress points on these they are built to last, joints is one of the main areas that go on headphones but these are built here and it is visible in comparison to your standard headphones. The ratchet style extensions are made with metal rather than plastic and the headband is tough too also so is the arms holding the cups.
Comfort
Now these are comfortable given the smaller cups than I would like they isolate much of the noise once placed on the head and there is no clamping feeling either and this is for long term use too however this may vary per person as all our heads are not the same lads. Comfort is important and for the DJ especially so and they will be happy here at the level of comfort I would think..The cups can swivel 90 degrees which is great, the headband is also comfortable here and overall a great wearing experience.
As mentioned these are a standard plug in job and nothing technical when it comes to apps and buttons which for me is a new experince and feeling left out but having said that headphones still are made this way and sometimes the case is you do not need the extras but this is for a certain market and niche set of individuals..
Sound
Well this is the one part people will be interested in and in the capacity I tested them in they are quite good, I have some amps at home and a good home sound system and also test on my phone and overall the sound was quite good in all cases, due to the fact they cancel out most noise when even just placed on the head they deliver a rich audio experience. They will not deliver what other high end headphones will do with all the usual attributes applied however they isolate the outside world pretty good audio experience and it is kept simple really and you must take into account they are not headphones designed for music but mixing and all that jazz that comes along with DJ stuff and even if you just wanted a pair to listen to music and no bothered by buttons and apps and all that these will certainly do, but remember you might need a headphone jack which is far and few between on phones today but if you have a sound system at home or cinema set up yeah by all means check them out they are not expensive.
This is a reasonably sized device which can be carried around in a laptop bag and can be connected to a Laptop etc via the ( good quality ) supplied USB A to USB C cable. The construction as expected from Anker is solid with an option to connect on a laptop screen or a tripod as required. The mounting has an angle bracket allowing flexibility in connection. The weight is light to ensure the Laptop screen does not fall over with the weight or can be mounted on a temporary workspace.

Features continued
The kit comes with a mechanical built-in privacy cover that allows you to block out the camera as required. The physical shutter is a useful feature that allows you to physically cover the camera lens when not in use, preventing unauthorised access to your webcam. However, note that the privacy cover is a mechanical system that only works for the video, not turning off the audio microphone.
Setup & use:
The setup is easy and requires a Windows laptop reboot and running of the software. Once installed, the AnkerWork Software allows control of the image and adjusts the field of view as required. This supports audio and video input, such as Zoom, Teams Skype, OBS, etc. It is recommended to use the AnkerWork Software but the kit will work without any installation.
Note: it is recommended to use the AnkerWork Software but the kit will work without any additional software.
Without using the AnkerWork Software, Once you plug it into a Windows USB port it will be recognized by your computer automatically. No drivers or software are required but will have limited features in terms of Audio and video options.
Quality
The webcam is capable of shooting 2K video at 30 frames per second and has an adjustable field of view. This was compared to the internal integrated camera as a comparison.
Integrated Windows laptop camera
A sample screenshot was taken using the Windows laptop integrated camera, Note the picture was distorted and unclear during an MS Teams call test.
Anker PowerConf C200 Webcam
The same screenshot on the laptop was taken with the Anker webcam, during an MS Teams call test.
Note the letters are clear and easy to read using the Anker PowerConf C200 Webcam
Both the integrated camera and the Anker PowerConf C200 Webcam have been placed the same distance from the picture. The default setting was used for the Anker PowerConf C200 Webcamwhich could have been improved further by the additional options within the software.
Warranty 1-year warranty
Conclusion
The Anker PowerConf C200 Webcam connects easily and works well with its supplied USB C cable. This is a compact device that folds away neatly, care would have to be taken to ensure damage to the lens when being transported, as no carry case has been supplied, the additional software allows traditional features in terms of zoom, rotation changing the hd resolution which may be required if hot spotting and using low-quality broadband. The FOV (field of view) from 65 degrees to 95 degrees allows for multiple people to be on a call and compensation adjusts accordingly to the surroundings
The audio experience when close to the unit works well but lacks the quality when at the distance from the webcam. At techbuzz, we have tried on a few systems in terms of MS Teams & Google Meet but the documentation does appear as approved for either
The Anker PowerConf C200 webcam has several key features. It has a 2K or 1440p resolution, which brings a good quality picture, It comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable, and a user manual, and can be easily clipped to the top of your desktop monitor.
The webcam is plug-and-play and ready to use right out of the box, but you can tweak the video/audio settings from Anker’s dedicated desktop app which improved the quality of the experience from the above screenshots,
The kit while has many positives & flexible options including, an adjustable FOV 65-95 degree, privacy shutter, and tripod mount, but does not come with a carry case which has the potential of scratching the lens during transport. The Setup is easy and adjustable for different situations or environments.
Overall, the Anker PowerConf C200 webcam is a great option for those looking for a portable budget-friendly and high-quality webcam with several useful features. Another great product from the Anker Family.
Edifier have always delivered a robust good sounding pair of headphones no matter the cost and that surprised me some months ago when we test out a pair of headphones I was not expecting to sound good at all which was the wH500 which were fantastic for the price and sounded great despite not being the ususal style of headphones I would take shine to.
The latest from Edifier the WH950NB are no different and for me have been a joy to use over the last few weeks and again exceeded my expectations and not only this their app which has got better it seems really helps out and gives you more control over how you want things including sound and some controls.
The build and design is very clean here and most of the time are for the company keeping things simple with simple controls on one side which we go through in the video review below and of course we check out their app so be sure to check it out as it might also help you.
The headphones are comfortable and sit nicely on the ears and once placed correctly they omit much of the outside world and with their superb ANC you can forget about what is going on outside as they just block it all out which I like but you do have the option to have ambient ambient mode turned on and not only that you have gamer mode so everyone is covered here.
For the Audiophile here we also get LDAC which changes the sampling rate which is a bonus we also have multipoint connection too so again a great bonus for those working with two devices LDAC is only available on Android devices take note.
The sound overall is fantastic using their 40mm dynamic drivers and one thing for me and remember it is my personal finding from the review is theatre mode which pouts you right in the centre of everything and sounds just great with not a peep from what is going on outside given we have a level of protection with safe volume they have done an excellent job on the ANC end of things here.
You can skip and reverse tracks adjust the volume and control calls and access your AI voice assistant from the controls on the headset or use the app for some features too making it an easy pair of headphones to use all round, there is an MFB button which you can access your voice assistant from or change the ANC settings and the keys overall on the headphones worked really well with no issues to report at all and worked as instructed in their manual.
Overall excellent sound to be had here for gamers and more with no distortion at maxed out volume noted nice bass and good on phone calls too, I would like to see more colours perhaps but apart from that there is nothing to complain about and we have a decent battery life too but this worked out under their claims as all do but this is down to you and your settings and mine is always volume up and so is the bass which naturally takes a hit but for anyone else who uses 70-80% volume will reach the figures claimed. Another feature to note is the 7 hours playback with just a 10 minute charge.
The App
Conclusion – These are an excellent pair of headphones and work well sound great and give you a real theatre experience and much more and do not cost as much as other competitors on the market offer sub par experience for the price. See the video review for an in depth look at what to expect and check out their app Edifier Connects.

BLUETTI, the leader in the clean energy storage industry, will launch its new AC60 & B80, the smallest solar generator with expandability, in mid-May.
The latest innovation comes as BLUETTI noticed a gap in its market: Though there are many power stations, small ones comes with less capacity while high capacity comes in big and heavy structure. What about a power station that combines flexibility and extensible capacity to meet different needs in different scenarios?
Enter the BLUETTI AC60&B80.
What is the BLUETTI AC60?
The BLUETTI AC60 is a solar generator with a 600W inverter and a 403Wh LFP battery that can add B80 for capacity boosting. With a compact size (11.4 x 8.1 x 9.2 inches) and lightweight (18.9 lbs), it is portable enough to carry outdoors. Equipped with 7 different outlets including two AC outputs, one USB-C port with Power Delivery with up to 100 W, one cigarette lighter port, two USB-A ports and a wireless charging pad, the AC60 can charge various devices. While it features a 600W pure sine wave inverter, it is able to carry a device of 1200W for a short period in its Power Lifting Mode.
Water and Dust-proof
Its internal structure is significantly upgraded from BLUETTI’s previous models: its circuits are isolated from the fan vents and all external materials pass water and dust-proof testing. BLUETTI AC60 is rated IP65 for water and dust protection, making it a perfect power source for various outdoor activities such as overlanding, beach camping and more.
Fast Silent Charging
The AC60 supports four charging methods including adaptor, car, solar and generator charging. With a 600W AC Turbocharging, it takes just 40 minutes to recharge AC60 from 0 to 80%. The unit operates quietly at 45 dB, or below 40dB under Silent Charging Mode, ideal in confined spaces such as a room or tent.
Smart Power-Saving
Featuring advanced ECO mode, the AC60 will automatically shut off to save power if no loads are connected. For powering small loads, AC and DC outputs can be adjusted separately to 10-30W and 5-20W respectively on the BLUETTI App. That can reduce its self-consumption and keep it running for 1-4 hours. Moreover, it has ultra-low stand-by loss when not in use.
Easy Monitor & Control
It is both high-tech and user-friendly, with an intuitive colour LCD screen that displays battery percentage, charge/discharge time remaining, output/input power and other helpful information. Plus, the BLUETTI App offers real-time monitoring and control from anywhere for ongoing management.
What is the B80 Expansion Battery?
Designed to complement the AC60, the B80 uses the same reliable LFP cells, the most stable and safest battery for energy storage that deliver over 3500 cycles. Two B80s, 806Wh each, can expand the capacity of AC60 to a maximum of 2,015Wh. The B80 can also work as a stand-alone DC power source with three DC ports: a USB-A, a USB-C, and a car outlet. It can also be recharged on its own via its input ports or in connection with the AC60.
Reliable and Safe Quality
As reliable and safe as the AC60, the B80 comes with an advanced battery management system to ensure maximum efficiency and prevent over-voltage, over-temperature and short-circuit and other safety problems. BLUETTI also provides a 6-year warranty for worry-free use.
Compact Size for Outdoor
The AC60 and B80 are roughly as compact as a normal shoebox. They both have a solid fold-down handle, making them easy to carry and store during RV trips or outdoor activities. Both IP65 rated, they are weather-proof and ready for any outdoor adventure.
Availability & Price
The AC60 and B80 will be available on BLUETTI’s official website and in its Amazon stores by mid May, with the debut price remaining undisclosed, although relevant staffs leak that it will be budget-friendly. Additionally, BLUETTI is proud to offer a 6-year warranty on these products, providing customers with peace of mind and ensuring their long-term satisfaction with their purchase.

A new look at the cyber security landscape from F-Secure, a global leader in simplifying cyber security, finds that wherever consumers go, cyber criminals will follow. That means users of massive online platforms such as Netflix, Facebook, and Steam should be prepared to face scams and infostealers, criminals’ current favourite threat.
F-Secured, the complete guide to online security in 2023, cuts through the complexity of the cyber crime landscape to offer a look at what were the biggest threats in 2022 and what risks consumers face now. It also includes simple steps users can take to make their favourite digital activities and connected homes safer, along with predictions about the threats our devices and families will face next.
“Cyber criminals benefit from the fact that we spend so much of our lives online. And they know they can reach us on the online services that we use,” said Laura Kankaala, F‑Secure Threat Intelligence Lead. “Because ultimately what they want is our attention. They want to trick us into acting against our own interests to click on malicious links or download malware. So, they spam our email inboxes, tag us in comments on social media, or send us direct messages in gaming or dating apps.”
F-Secure’s Threat Intelligence found that the most imitated social media platform used to spread phishing threats in 2022 was Facebook, the most popular social network on earth, at 62%. Steam, the largest distribution platform for PC games, was the most popular gaming platform to spoof at 37%.
Criminals have also increasingly used Netflix, the most popular video streaming service in most countries, as a phishing lure. Often criminals play upon consumers’ dependence on the service for entertainment. A common scam notifies a user that the service will be cut off because a recent payment was denied and leads to criminals taking over the account.
“Cyber attacks in general have become very personal,” Kankaala said. “And little is more personal than the credentials that secure our intimate digital moments.”
Infostealers rank as the most common Windows threat, making up 69% of the 30 most common attacks, according to F-Secure’s monitoring of prevalent threats. One of the most popular examples of this threat is the RedLine Stealer thanks to its irresistible business model. This customizable malware-as-service allows criminals to suck credentials stored in users’ browsers. Criminals buy this threat and then package the stolen data in the same place–dark web marketplaces.
The report also investigates how criminals profit off scams and malware in the wild. It includes a detailed look at phishing attacks related to Ukraine, the popular “Hi Mum” smishing scams, and attacks that specifically target gamers. In addition, Kankaala offers insights into the unsettling ways internet users can be targeted online by the people they know in real life.
“In the end, we all need cyber security in our lives,” she said. “Because it’s not just about avoiding the criminal hackers, it’s about taking control of our lives online — it’s about being digitally independent.”
