Top 10 Must-Have Accessories for Your Car

Car accessories are a great way to vamp up your car with something new and exciting. Whether its purpose is to make driving more entertaining or to improve safety within the cabin, a car can never have too many accessories.

So how do you pick which ones are the best for your car? Depending on your car’s age and model will determine what’s possible, however, a lot of these are accessories that should be suitable for any car or vehicle that you own.

Whether you use your car for personal reasons, for work, or for both, here are the top ten must-have accessories for your car.

1. Customize your car

First and foremost, be sure to customize your car. This is a good one because it can help your car stand out from the crowd, as well as add a bit of your own personality to the car itself. Much like everything within your home or personal life, your car is an extension of your personality, so it;’s something you want to curate into something unique.

With that being said, consider how you could customize your car. One example would be to get personalized DVLA number plates that add a unique touch to the car. Not only that but anyone seeing those number plates can appreciate the personalization that’s gone into it as they try to decipher what your number plate says or might mean.

Look at other ways of customizing the car like upgrading the car’s seat covers or adding new light features to the interior and exterior parts of the vehicle.

2. Tire inflator

A tire inflator is an important one and it’s a great safety accessory to have, should you find yourself in a situation where you can’t inflate your tires quickly.

When you’re on the road, your tires are part of your car’s lifeline. Should they begin to run flat, they will become a danger to you and your passengers. Driving may become a little riskier because underinflated tires can decrease their effectiveness while out on the road.

Therefore, it’s important to look at getting a tire inflator for the purpose of your car’s safety and satisfaction while driving. Be cautious and check your tires regularly to ensure they’re inflated to the level they need to be at according to the vehicle’s handbook.

3. Car seat organizer

A car seat organizer is a good addition to the car, especially if you to find that there’s rubbish or belongings everywhere.

Car seat organizers can be particularly helpful for those who have little ones. Often enough, your little ones will have a lot of belongings with them that they may otherwise fling around in the car’s cabin.

That can make for yet another area that you need to clean up after them. Therefore, it’s always good to have something in place that will keep your interior cabin as clean as it can be. You’ll also find it helpful to have everything in one place when it comes to loading up and unloading the car each time you go out.

4. Reversing camera

A reversing camera is a great safety feature for the car but not every car might be able to install such a feature.

When it comes to a reversing camera, it provides a luxury that you’ll certainly benefit from. Being able to reverse with the more visual scope of the outside world around the car is helpful. There are blind spots around the car that can make it hard to see when navigating the car through various areas that might make reversing a particular challenge to do.

With a reversing camera attached to the back of the car, you’ll be able to tackle this with a lot more ease and hopefully with less stress of causing damage to pedestrians and other vehicles.

5. Phone mount

One of the distractions that come with a car, is your phone. Chances are, you’re using the phone to help navigate from one place to another. While many cars will have their own navigation system, the phone has become a more popular solution to helping drive and follow a route in the car.

It’s a good idea to look at purchasing a phone mount so that the phone remains out of your hands and in a place that’s easy to view.

Phone mounts are usually helpful to place on your windowscreen and ideally to the left or the right of your driving wheel. You want to be careful about where you place it for the purpose of any wires that you might have plugged into the phone. However, it’s a great way to keep yourself safe and to not cause as much distraction when driving on the road.

6. Portable jump starter

When your engine fails, there’s nothing worse than finding yourself stranded, especially when it’s somewhere you’re not familiar with or have never been before.

That’s where a portable jump starter can come in very handy. If you’re looking to help yourself in situations where you’re in desperate need of help, this accessory can be very useful to have.

A portable jump starter can get you back on the road for at least the duration you need to in order to get to a car engineer.

7. Car vacuum cleaner

Keeping your car’s interior clean is definitely important and it’s something that you should stay on top of as there’s often plenty of dirt and debris that’s trodden into the car’s interior floors and cabin in general.

A car vacuum is a much more versatile and useful cleaner to have, rather than having to shift a heavy vacuum cleaner from your home and out to the driveway every time you want to clean the car.

8. First Aid kit

To help keep you and your family happy and healthy while traveling, a first aid kit is always useful to have available. Whether you have the basics or a complex assortment of first aid necessities, it’s worth having one that’s available should you need it in the car.

Make sure to store it where it can be easily accessed and ensure it’s topped up with all of the much-needed contents before setting off for any journey.

9. Phone charger

A phone charger is part and parcel nowadays of any accessory for the car. It’s important that you have a phone charger, so should your phone need a boost of power, you can easily charge the phone via your car’s own battery.

Be sure to have one that’s easy enough to plug in. You can also get cars that have wireless phone chargers available and are worth having for the sake of ease of functionality.

Unfortunately, not all phones nowadays are capable of keeping up with our usage, so it’s good to have the phone charge as a backup.

10. Puncture repair kit

Finally, another great accessory to add to your car’s cabin, perhaps in the boot of the car is a puncture repair kit. You never know when you might get a puncture on one of your tires so this kit is a worthwhile solution to help get you from being stranded to having help.

A puncture repair kit is definitely helpful to have available and should be something that will help you should you ever find yourself in an unfortunate situation where you need to temporarily repair a tire.

These must-have accessories are just a small selection of what’s available currently on the market. Make sure you’re taking full advantage of these accessories and add them to your to-buy list this year.

Tech Review – MeacoFan Sefte 10” Table Air Circulator

The MeacoFan Sefte 10” Table Air Circulator is one of a duo of products recently announced by the brand and having tested several fans over the years the MeaocFan 260c air circulator has been a life saver on many occasions and still sits at my desk or bedside locked it even comes on trips with me and will continue to do so due to its size.

This Table Air Circulator has more to offer though, given it is larger it is not as portable as the 260c but it is in your home you will not be packing this one in your travel bag like I do with the 260c  but I guess you could pop it in your car if you know that your hotel does not offer working air conditioning or just bring it eitherway.

This has more on offer as mentioned with a small circular remote control which is cool and has some additional features built on as to the controls on the unit itself.

The control gives you the extra options silence the keys, turn off the lights and set a timer the control then offers the same as is on the unit itself which is all on the right the former is on the left.

There is three modes on offer and multiple speeds and the main feature on this unit is that it can move up or down and left to right it is not fixed unlike the 260c.

There is ECO mode standard mode and night mode if you will and again all can be controlled and set to your needs and at night it steps down in speeds.

The cool air that flows from this is again superb, I have been use to having my smaller 260 now for a few years but this steps things up massively and is ideal for a large desk or even room and of course your bedside locker if big enough to hold it, with this I can now know I will be kept cool when it is hot not that we get much heat hear but I tend to use fans regardless as I like to feel of the cool air blowing on me and with this fan I know it is been done in style and feels great.

The oscillation is the beauty about the SEFTE 10″ giving you more control. New oscillation motors enable 65° vertical and 120° horizontal movement. These combine to help reach every corner of the room, while new Air Beam Precision allows users to precisely position the airflow between narrow, medium and wide angles.

These features can be effortlessly adjusted from a glow in the dark remote control, helping people to rest, relax and sleep at the touch of a button.

The MeacoFan Sefte range are available from Meaco, Amazon, John Lewis, and CostCo.

Planned Equinix data centre will support 10,000 jobs in Ireland

Equinix, Inc., the world’s digital infrastructure company, announces that a planned data centre in Dublin would be capable of supporting 10,000 jobs in Ireland. This follows a newly published report from Equinix, carried out by KPMG, which shows that Equinix’s existing facilities in Ireland currently support businesses which account for 53,000 jobs – or 2% of the workforce in Ireland.

As a colocation data centre provider, Equinix provides digital infrastructure to hundreds of businesses operating in Ireland. In doing so, it plays a major role in supporting the Irish labour force. However, digital infrastructure companies, such as Equinix, are currently being denied new connections to Ireland’s electricity grid. A planned 9.9 MW retail international business exchange facility, in Profile Park, Clondalkin, saw an application for a connection to the grid rejected last August. Equinix estimates that this facility would be capable of supporting businesses in maintaining a further 10,000 jobs in Ireland.

The report calculates that the construction of this facility would generate an economic output of over €200M. Due to the rising demand for digital services, this expansion would also see Equinix grow its own team in Ireland from 150 to 170 and further support local SMEs. The team in Ireland has grown by 20% since 2021, with this growth now also paused due to the current data centre moratorium.

In the report it was found that there were 40,000 visits to Equinix retail colocation data centres in 2023 – equating to a rate of 13 people an hour. Visitors came from a range of sectors including FinTech and financial services, manufacturing, healthcare and life sciences. Customers visit Equinix international business exchanges to maintain their digital infrastructure equipment and ensure they are maximising the value of digital connectivity.

Equinix hosts more than 260 businesses at its existing Irish facilities, including more than 130 Irish enterprises. More than half (56%) of Equinix’s customers in Ireland have their business headquarters in the country, ensuring that Equinix is facilitating the digital activities and growth of local businesses.

Peter Lantry, Managing Director for Ireland, Equinix, said: “This research shows the vast spectrum of companies and industries working with Equinix and using our services. We are supporting companies of all sizes, from multinationals to smaller Irish enterprises, with more than 30 of our customers having fewer than 20 employees. All of these enterprises are not just key for our economic growth, but vital in our daily lives, too. Innovation is happening every day in Equinix, shown by the number of people using our data centres as a digital hub on a daily basis.

“Digital infrastructure is essential in supporting Ireland’s workforce – especially with the rise in data processing including AI activity, and hybrid and remote working – and it is only set to grow in importance. At Equinix, we want to continue supporting businesses and economic growth in Ireland, but we are now at the point where multinational companies are choosing to base themselves elsewhere due to our ongoing national grid crisis. We have the ability and technology to operate flexibly off the grid, meaning we can be self-sufficient when the grid is at capacity. By allowing Equinix to provide this service to the grid, Ireland can save its reputation as a digital powerhouse, supported by some of the best talent in Europe.”

Tech Review – ASUS Zenfone 10 Connex Accessories Set

When it comes to accessories for our smartphones there is plenty to pick from but none like this set which is modular and allows you to pick between to pieces to suit your needs at a given time which is kind of a neat idea I must add and not seen before in this format. This is kind of a 3 in 1 kit giving you a protective shell and then two pieces that can be added by clipping onto the case itself hence being modular.

The shell alone does a good job protecting your device albeit a bit on the glossy side on the rear and slippy and it has lots of perforations on the case to allow you to stick on either the card holder or phone stand which is neat. The card holder is neat and made with a nice material and will hold at a guess up to three cards from my testing and keep them secure, the texture of the cad holder also gives you additional grip on the case too and if one card is in it or even three in my testing they will not fall out so it is for most people out there today who carry card and it looks much better than those wallet styled cases that are bulky and cumbersome..

ASUS Zenfone 10 – Connex accessories set – techbuzzireland

Overall this is the ideal case for those who want that bit more from an accessory pack giving them more than one option and it is certainly worth investing in. Check the video below for more.

From Unrecognized to Accessible: 3 Ways to Fix Your SD Card on Windows 10

If you are using an SD card on your Windows 10 computer, you may have experienced issues where the card is not recognized or not showing up. These issues can be frustrating, especially when you need to access important files on the card. In this article, we will discuss some common reasons why SD cards may not be recognized on Windows 10 and provide you with some solutions to fix them.

Reasons Why SD Card is Not Recognized on Windows 10

One of the most common reasons why an SD card is not recognized on Windows 10 is due to outdated or corrupted device drivers. Windows 10 may not be able to recognize the SD card if the device drivers are not up-to-date or if they are corrupted. Another reason could be due to a faulty SD card reader. The reader may not be able to read the card due to a physical issue or a software problem.

Reasons Why SD Card is Not Showing Up on Windows 10

If your SD card is not showing up on Windows 10, it could be due to a few different reasons. One reason could be due to a drive letter conflict. Windows 10 may assign the same drive letter to another device, causing the SD card to not show up. Another reason could be due to a corrupted file system on the SD card. If the file system is corrupted, Windows 10 may not be able to read the card.

Common SD Card Errors and How to Fix Them

There are a few common SD card errors that you may encounter while using the card on Windows 10. One of the most common errors is the “SD card is write-protected” error. This error occurs when the SD card is set to read-only mode, and you cannot write files to the card. To fix this error, you need to remove the write protection from the card.

Another common SD card error is the “SD card is not formatted” error. This error occurs when the file system on the SD card is corrupted or damaged. To fix this error, you need to format the card. Formatting the card will erase all the data on it, so make sure to back up any important files before formatting.

Fixing a Corrupted SD Card on Windows 10

If your SD card is corrupted, you may not be able to access the data on it. To fix corrupted SD card on Windows 10, you can use the built-in Disk Management tool. First, connect the SD card to your computer and open Disk Management. Right-click on the SD card and select “Format.” Choose the file system you want to use and click “OK” to format the card.

Alternatively, you can use a third-party tool like EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. This tool can recover data from a corrupted SD card and restore it to your computer. To use this tool, connect the SD card to your computer and open EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. Select the SD card and click “Scan” to search for lost data. Once the scan is complete, you can preview and recover the data from the SD card.

How to use a Tool to Recover Files from a Memory Stick? If you accidentally deleted files from a memory stick, you can use a tool like Cleverfiles to recover them. Cleverfiles is a free data recovery tool that can recover deleted files from a memory stick. To use this tool, connect the memory stick to your computer and open Cleverfiles. Select the memory stick and click “Scan” to search for deleted files. Once the scan is complete, you can preview and recover the deleted files.

Updating Device Drivers and Windows 10

As mentioned earlier, outdated or corrupted device drivers can cause issues with SD cards on Windows 10. To update the device drivers, you can use the Device Manager. Open the Device Manager and expand the “Disk drives” section. Right-click on the SD card and select “Update driver.” Follow the on-screen instructions to update the driver.

To update Windows 10, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. Click “Check for updates” to see if there are any available updates for your computer. If there are updates available, click “Download and install” to update Windows 10.

Cleaning the SD Card Reader

If your SD card is not being recognized on Windows 10, it could be due to a dirty or dusty SD card reader. To clean the reader, first, turn off your computer and unplug any cables. Use a soft-bristled brush or compressed air to remove any dust or debris from the reader. After cleaning the reader, plug in the cables and turn on your computer to see if the SD card is now being recognized.

Tips for Preventing SD Card Issues on Windows 10

To prevent SD card issues on Windows 10, you can follow these tips:

  • Always safely eject the SD card from your computer before removing it.
  • Avoid using the SD card on multiple devices to prevent file system conflicts.
  • Use a high-quality SD card that is compatible with your computer.
  • Keep your device drivers and Windows 10 up-to-date.
  • Regularly back up important files stored on the SD card.

Conclusion

In conclusion, if your SD card is not recognized or not showing up on Windows 10, there are a few different reasons why this may be happening. By following the solutions outlined in this article, you should be able to fix the issues and access your files on the SD card. Remember to regularly back up your files to prevent data loss and follow the tips to prevent issues from occurring in the future.
