ColoudBoom,Knock and Pop-New affordable headsets for nokia.

Zound Industries – the company behind Marshall HeadphonesMolami, and Urbanears – is working with Nokia to produce a range of high-quality, yet affordable headsets under the Coloud brand.

The three new headsets customized for Nokia are called Boom, Knock and Pop, and each with a unique design and sound of its own.

Boom_Red

Boom is designed to ensure that any noises from the outside world stays outside, thanks to the smart closed construction.

The large ear pads fit comfortably over your ears, while the padded rock-solid frame sits perfectly over your head – or around your neck when you’re taking a break from your favourite tunes.

Knock is similarly styled to Boom in that it’s a headset with ‘cans’ – i.e. they cover your ears.

Lighter than Boom, the design-awarded Knock has been made for those that like a more minimalistic style, but is still able to withstand what your life throws at it.

Pop is the in-ear alternative, for those who prefer not to have something wrapped over the head or covering their ears.

The angled ear-buds fit perfectly into any ear, thanks to the three different sized buds that come in the sales pack.

Boom, Knock, and Pop all feature the Zound Lasso with flat cable, an ingenious way of keeping the cables tangle-free.

In addition to the ‘cable-control’, all three also include an integrated microphone so that they can be used for making phone calls, as well as a control key to make/drop calls or control your music.

“We’re delighted to work with Zound to provide people with a range of stylish, colourful yet robust and affordable headphones. With Boom, Knock and Pop people can enjoy their music with a clear audio and style,” says Jarno Piirainen, Head of Audio Accessories at Nokia.

“All three headphones are targeted for young achievers, passionate about their lives and enjoying music. Together with Nokia, we’re now able to bring the stylish headsets to even more people enjoying great audio experience around the world,” says Konrad Bergström, President and Founder, Zound Industries.

As you can see, Boom, Knock, and Pop come in either yellow, bright red, or cyan – Nokia’s iconic colours.

These headsets will work with all Nokia Lumia smartphones, selected Nokia Asha devices, and any device with a 3.5mm AHJ audio plug.

BoomKnock, and Pop will be available from September costing €27, €22, and €18 respectively.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 Appears on 02 Irelands website.

Today 02 posted on twitter that the nokia lumia 1020 is coming soon.

In the photo we can see its black typical in ireland we get the black first over the nice vibrant colours, hopefully this may change, and in fairness the lumia 925 is actually nice in black.

There is no release date of pricing as yet but stay tuned for more news as it comes in.

Take Our Poll

Nokia Lumia 1020 for Ireland,The very latest news.

Nokia’s newest smartphone was announced last week so we had to check out how much love the operators have for the device so of course we took action on twitter to find out where the irish people stand and find out just for you.

First of all the device is now already on pre-order from across the waters on several websites ranging from $699-$799 this is sim free of course which is the better option in my opinion.

First of all we contacted all the operators here in ireland and it was interesting to see what the sentiment is.

METEOR MOBILE!

Meteor replied but the reply is somewhat good and bad but im holding off on a definitive answer for now and see what the lads can do.

Here is what meteor said today.

EMOBILE!

Here is what emobile told us today.

VODAFONE

Vodafone gave us a rather incoherent answer.

3 IRELAND

3 again incoherent yet 3 ireland seem to dislike the nokia lumia range its been known ever since the Lumia 800 they have not stocked any lumia model, they seem to stick to the one or two lower end nokia devices.

02 IRELAND

02 had a bumpy time at first saying they had not seen it for testing but then they got back to me a few minutes later with this tweet and the same time an article came out by silicon republic documenting this so maybe it was been finalized and we are happy to hear 02 will sell the 1020

So over all there seems to be a rather disappointing approach to the lumia 1020 but its early days yet, stay tuned for updates,we will keep you informed.

Nokia officially announce the Lumia 1020

The Nokia Lumia 1020, announced in New York today, marries the second generation of Nokia’s massive 41-megapixel sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS) to smash the benchmarks of smartphone photography. The Lumia 1020 combines unmatched picture detail and quality with an effortless capture, edit and sharing features.

On a mission to make it easier for people to capture better photos, we’ve reinvented zoom by combining our next-gen 41-megapixel sensor, ZEISS optics with six lenses and OIS. The Lumia 1020 camera zooms into the details of every shot – over-sampling the results – making your photographs sharper and clearer than ever before.

With the Lumia 1020, you can now point and shoot without worrying about missing the moment, and then simply reframe the photo afterwards to make it perfect using our new Nokia Pro Camera application.

Nokia Pro Camera takes over as the default camera app on the Lumia 1020. This puts all the camera power in your hands, providing swipe-able dials and access to settings once preserved just for the experts. You can see exactly what changing settings like exposure level, white balance, shutter speed and film ISO do to a shot before you take it. Great for people who already know what they’re doing and those keen to learn more, it encourages experimentation and learning with every picture, thanks to built-in tutorials.

Dual capture. Once you press the camera button, Nokia Pro Camera simultaneously takes a full resolution photo for endless reframing opportunities, and also presents you with a 5 megapixel image, which is easy to share on social networks like Facebook or on your Windows Phone 8 SkyDrive.

Snap away and edit later. Reframe and re-zoom to produce different images, different stories from one single shot. This could be as simple as straightening the horizon on a sunset, or breaking up a whole group photo into individual portraits. The large version is always fully accessible, but the 5 megapixel version is there for lightning fast sharing. This feature is entirely unique to the Lumia 1020 and a revolution on its own.

Optical image stabilisation. The second generation of our already leading OIS simply means better photography and video in low light conditions. With the large optics and sensor, Nokia’s engineers went on an epic journey of innovation, which resulted in them adding ball bearings into the camera module. Yes the Lumia 1020 has ball bearings inside it: and we think that’s pretty epic. With the whole camera module sprung to meet any hand movement and one of the widest apertures on a camera phone, OIS means there’s no need to fear camera shake or muddy results, even at night.

Next-gen xenon Flash. Freeze a ball in mid-air or take action shots in the dark. The xenon flash has the power to illuminate shots for the 1/16,000 of a second it takes to capture a shot with the Lumia 1020 at the minimum shutter speed.

Prefer the slow lane? Yep – you can take the shutter speed down to four seconds for effects like light trails from moving cars and intentional blur. The Lumia 1020 is all about allowing your creativity to take the lead.

Nokia Rich Recording. When you add in the fact that it captures stereo sound even at the loudest concerts with Nokia Rich Recording (capable of handling sound pressure levels six times louder than conventional smartphone microphones),  you have a powerful tool for capturing and sharing every moment of your life.

Imaging apps reinvented. Along with the Pro Camera, Nokia’s imaging team in Lund has created an SDK that provides access to developers to create their own imaging innovations. Today, Hipstamatic, Path, Yelp and CNN among others announced new and enhanced apps for the Lumia 1020 that take advantage of its imaging power. Nokia also announces new and enhanced HD versions of its well-loved Cinemagraph and PhotoBeamer apps to match and show-off the capabilities of this amazing device.

Download the white paper, to learn all about the technology in the Nokia Lumia 1020.

And let’s not forget that the Lumia 1020 is not just a camera. This is a state-of-the-art smartphone – a superphone. Running the latest and greatest Windows Phone 8, it’s LTE-enabled, there’s 32GB of storage on board, and it comes with full global navigation – the latest versions of our HERE experiences, and our ad- and subscription-free mobile music streaming service. Soup it up even more with over 165,000 apps in the Windows Phone Store.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 will be available in yellow, white and black. It will ship first to the USA on AT&T, with sales expected to start on July 26th at $299.99 with a contract.

It will arrive in China and Western Europe in the third quarter of 2013. Nokia plans to ship an exclusive variant of the device with Telefonica in selected European and Latin American markets. Other markets will be announced shortly.
