VR is the thing this year with headset being the main player, however VR idea is different where the user will lie on a platform and then use a VR headset so it may be a cumbersome piece to have in your house unless you have the room and the cost is another thing which is not yet known..This does look like a great idea offering a real immersive experience but looking a what is required to use it it will be limited audience to some extent,as it is VR content is still lacking despite the big push for it..
Max Rheiner who is an artist and software developer from Switzerland says The virtual reality simulator can stimulate the senses of the user. This gives rise to a feeling of one flying in the sky. He went on to say that people who wish to fly can do so with no training at all. The experience of flying is based on dreams that people have of experiencing as they fly.
Our phones can do many things and there is plenty more great ideas to come be it via an add on piece of kit or built in tech there some really neat ideas out there and today we learn of something new from Nivea,This is simply a cover for your mobile but can detect body odour levels if you are curious if you stink.. Good idea??
The Huffington Post reports that this new idea will available and will work with an app the user can download, this concept is currently in testing right now and the electronic nose picks up the smell and evaluates it based on an algorithm created after analyzing the scents of 4,000 other men.
The new “smellphone” technology is currently going through beta testing, according to Geoffrey Hantson, a Belgium-based advertising executive who is the chief creative officer behind the project.
What do you think of this idea and would you purchase this case??
You have just bought your shiny new expensive mobile phone and dropped it,Ouch!! It happens and even with the best of cases it is not always going to save you, this I learned for myself the first time only last year believe it or not with my Huawei Mate 7 when it dropped at knee height and boom, the screen was destroyed,Not a happy camper but it happens and will happen, but now we can avoid this with a new Irish company called Screen Hero.
John Conway who is an entrepreneur from Tullamore in Co. Offaly and the Managing Director of ‘Fix My i Limited’, a smartphone and tablet repair shop also based in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Fix my i’s commitment to its customers is the cornerstone of his business.
‘Screen Hero’ aims to provide premium tempered glass screen solutions. We are Irish, we are eco-friendly and we are experts in the Tech Industry. ‘Screen Hero’ will integrate its ultimate shatter-free, shock absorbing protection for your mobile device with its prestige high quality customer service, making it Ireland’s only and number one affordable tempered glass screen solutions specialist.
Screen Hero is an Irish-owned company established in 2016 that prides itself on its premium screen solutions and competitive pricing. The mobile device market is hugely competitive in today’s society. Screen Hero aims to lead the Irish Market in premium tempered glass screen solutions using only the highest-quality material.
Screen Hero is a premium tempered glass screen solution for all smart mobile devices. It is made by heating the glass and then cooling it very quickly. This type of glass breaks differently than normal glass, creating more rounded edges of glass pieces instead of jagged shards that regular glass creates. A tempered glass protector is a multi-layered screen protector. It has a bottom layer of absorbent silicon and an optically clear adhesive tempered glass layer on top of that. The final layer is an oleophobic coating which is a layer that is waterproof and mark proof. Tempered glass is up to five times stronger than normal glass.
Remember it is a costly mistake to drop your phone and the screen is the most expensive piece and they are not getting cheaper by any means, this is one way to stop it,prevention is better than cure.We will have some sample to show you very soon too, stay tuned for more..
360° videos where added to YouTube last year as impulse for VR technology, with their very own Spotlight Stories and some other extras, the 360-degree live streaming will now be way more immersive thanks to the addition of Spatial Audio.
With Spatial audio build in, the streaming transform into an almost “live experience.
From the announcement we know that some of the artists performing this weekend at Coachella are going to have this almost “7.1 audio” capability.
But for your own enjoyment here’s a sample of what would it sound like:
YouTube has been working with companies like VideoStitch,Two Big Ears, ALLie, Vahana VR and Orah 4i to assure their software if totally compatible with the platform.
So, it will be available on more videos and locations to allow people from all around the globe to enjoy this.
The goal is no just entertainment, as the company also aims to make tours and travel-like experiences available, students can have a tour around the pyramids without leaving the classroom.
We’ve been having 360° videos for long, but now those videos are going to be way more useful for other things besides entertainment.
Neal Mohan, Chief Product Officer of YouTube says:
What excites me most about 360-degree storytelling is that it lets us open up the world’s experiences to everyone. Students can now experience news events in the classroom as they unfold. Travelers can experience faraway sites and explorers can deep-sea dive, all without the physical constraints of the real world. And today’s kids dreaming of going to a basketball game or a concert can access those experiences firsthand, even if they’re far away from the court. What were once limited experiences are now available to anyone, anywhere, at any time.
In addition to this incredible feature, the usual live streaming video can now be made in 360 degrees.
Now user will be allowed to stream in high quality thanks to the new support fpr 1440p at 60fps resolution, leaving no room to complain about it.
User just need to have a compatible hardware and they are ready to roll.
What are your thoughts on VR? Do you think we are there yet? Which video you would to experience on 360° spatial audio form? Let us know in the comment section below
The Tattoo,Some like them some hate them and some think that people that sport them are not part of modern society and make you look dirty,Yes there is still a taboo with the subject along with many other things today. Anyway even if you dont have a tattoo and considered getting one this is the place to go and see what it looks like before you even hit the tattoo artist..The app is on iOS only for now but it is coming to Android and Windows Phone..The app actually uses augmented reality and is in real time so its pretty cool indeed. Say hello to Ink Hunter
The app simply works by using your mobile phones camera and you then scan the desired area you wish to have your tattoo placed,This is then when the AR comes into effect and it will relay the image back to your device and that is all there is too it.You can pick designs or chose your own too which is good rather than been left with specific templates.
App features
You can try on your own tattoo or choose one from the gallery.
– Observe your tattooed body from different angles!
– Take nice shot and make it looks like real in advanced editor.
This is probably going a bit too far but nonetheless its here and it aint cheap and if you do be stupid enough to buy one there is something wrong and not only that people do sleep in other places too unless the makers are confined to the bedroom? Internetofshit has found a good one here, Say hello to the Smarttress complete with 24 sensors to detect suspicious activity.. Yep and it is only going to cost you about a 1500 EURO, Have we not heard of hotels lads?
It simply works by sending alerts to your mobile phone via an app thats on Android and iOS and even at that anyone could be on the bed such as your pet or a child for example,I actually think this is some kind of joke to see what traction they get out of it,if its not it will fail miserably. There is such things in life as trust and private detectives if you feel the need for one but this just takes the piss..
Today we got an unusual call and sms on Viber and the name “Mark” just appeared on my handset. These are not new to be honest but its best to keep people informed of what activity is doing the rounds, the message also contained some tempting information to earn money from home with a link attached,As per norm just ignore and delete and block the number from within the application itself. These kind of messages come do some rounds and then vanish after a while. The number attached to this is said to originate in Russia,Just be vigilant and ignore any of these kind of sms, calls and text, mostly they are there tempting you to call back which ends up with the user calling back some kind of premium service and costing you money..
See images below for the information..
Payoutsure is just a shitty video leading you to believe you will make millions, stating they have featured on several sites yet no links to prove it,see the top of the image,Sky and CNN and so on..
The Chinese manufacturer Meizu, has become really popular outside Asia thanks mostly to their “Bang for the buck” smartphones, that offers great performance for a low price.
One of their best-selling models are the Pro Line, which sits right below the 6″ phablet market. Well, today the company has announced the flagship model of 2016:
The Meizu Pro 6
The Pro 6 is a familiar looking phone, been really close to what an iPhone could look from the distant, but that’s now a bad thing, as that means a great looking phone to watch.
What makes unique the Pro 6 are the internals, so let’s take a look ate what we have:
Dimensions: 147.7 × 70.8 × 7.25 mm Weight: 160 grams Screen: 5.2-inch screen with FullHD SuperAMOLED 3DPress Processor: a Deca-core MediaTek Helio X25 processor at 2.5 GHz RAM: 4 GB OS: Android 6.0 Marshmallow under Flyme UI Storage: 32/64 GB expandable via microSD up to 128GB Camera: Main camera 21 megapixel f / 2.2 and 10 LED’s flash ring, Front 5 megapixel f / 2.0 Battery: 2560 mAh with fast charging USB TypeC, Finger print Sensor
As you can see the phone has it all, that “3D Press” is a version of ForceTouch, giving you different options on-screen depending on how hard you press it.
Below the main camera you’ll find another circle that houses the 10 LED dual-tone flash ring, which promises incredible indoor and low light shots.
Also, the devices comes with dedicate audio chips to improve quality like mSound and a third generation NXP Smart PA system, to deliver great and loud sound without distortion.
Also, the FP scanner, also acts as home and back button, letting the power on/off feature to the right hand side.
It will come in Dark Gray, Silver, Red, Gold and Rose Gold color options as well the two storage options.
The starting price in China is 2,499 Yuan (340 euros or $386) for the 32GB version and 2,799 Yuan (380 euros or $433) for the 64GB version.
There’s no word yet about availability outside Asia, but we’ll keep an eye on this device.
What do you think? Will you pick one up if you have the chace? Ley us know in the comment section or tweet us your thoughts.
VR is the in thing this year and with more options available to the consumer and getting cheaper too, though its fair to say you get what you pay for..
If you dont fancy shedding out hundreds of your hard earned euros to experience VR you can get it cheap, options such as Google cardboard is one way to test it out but its limited compared to the next best reasonably priced Samsung Gear VR..
Dunnes Stores are now on the bandwagon selling a VR Headset for €29.99 This is not a well know name and there is multiple offerings of similar available on the web and some similar to this only with a different name.. You will not get the same feeling of immersion here as you would with options like Gear VR or HTC Vive but for the money its worth a shot and will give an idea,For now content still lacks too but that will change in the coming months. Also worth noting is that these are not device specific and cover a wide range of phones too.
