This is a Bathroom scales with a difference, check your weight body composition at eye level where it suits. The TerraillonWeb Coach Easy View (bathroomweighingscales to most of us) is an impedance meter that calculates your weight, your BMI and your body composition: fat, muscle, water and bone masses. Is has its large glass top for better weighing comfort and shockproof rubber ring. The glass is prone to smudging and suggest when using to wear socks.

The removable LCD screen is excellent to allow viewing from any angle and area. This can be fitted at head height viaa magnetic strip or placed the same as traditional scales. The display is large, great ingenuity by Terraillon allowing this to be moved around even if trying to weigh the suit case prior to travelling, this can be viewed at any direction. This display option leaves traditional scales looking dated and boring (albeit a littlepricier).

The Activi-T Band displays the time, directly synchronized with your smartphone is a fitness tracker that monitors your activity and sleep. When worn on your wrist,it lets you analyse your daily physical activity. During the day, it measures steps, distance and calories burned. At night, it monitors sleep duration and quality (awake time, light and deep sleep).The weight Net/gross weight 21/80g is extremely light often forgetting the band is on your wrist.

Charger

We repeatedly refer to the dislike of manufactures using propriety chargers which can’t be used by any other product. The TerraillonActivi -T Tracker does not come with a charger or a charger lead but rather allows you to remove the strap from the lead and plug directly into any USB phone/ Laptop charger. This saves the hassle to carry a lead around with you. (this is a great bonus) The battery life is good at 7days (some sites refer to 10 days) and takes 90 minutes to recharge.

 

Wrist strap

The unit on initial inspection comes with a small wrist strap / band, an additional strap is included in the box with allows the unit to be worn by a larger hand. Removal of the strap is easy to fit the larger strap. Currently their does not appear to be a variety of colour straps available while the unit comes in various colours, two sizes are supplied, Activi-T Band adapts to all wrist sizes. Note: When fitting the band on your wrist this must be fitted with the charging site to one side,I.e.the button orientated to your arm and not your hand. The strap when fitted on your left-hand results in the Activi – T logo visually backwards, this is a paltry gripe.

 

Sleep mode on the band is achieved via pressing the buttonfor 5 seconds, this is recommended to again press the button for 5 seconds in the morning to switch to activity mode. This is not a welcome feature as required action on the user’s behalf. If this was automated this would be an improved user experience. The unit does not mention water / splash proof while the design looks at it could easily facilitate this option by coating the charger connect to prevent water damage.

Review – Sega Portable Handheld Console with 30 Built-In Games from Argos #Gaming #Sega

Handheld consoles are a thing of the past but they are making a comeback just like consoles of old which are also now coming back but in a miniature version and we can’t get enough of them they are an epic reminder for those in the day of what we use to play as kids and recently I just purchased the  Super Nintendo Mini Classic and love it, Given its graphics are 8bit which is the same for this handheld it brings back those memories and I actually spend some time on it, Gaming for me has drifted slowly over the years as I geared towards mobile phones and so on.

This handheld has offerings of the same given its got just a 2.4 inch LCD but you can connect it to a TV which is excellent and enhanced the experience even more rather than confining yourself to a little compact box and for those who are real gamers of old probably would not last long on the tiny screen but then again it’s not so bad either for lounging on the couch,in bed or if you are like me a visit to the loo and this comes with me instead of my phone,its portable and light and also a robust unit and will take a few drops I would imagine.

The controls are also familiar with a multi directional navi pad and two buttons to the right which are again functional and offer different moves or can be used both together there is an instruction guide within to guide you on what buttons do what per individual game. This is powered by Three AAA batteries (not included) nor expensive either and last quite some time again these can be bought at the till or in Argos itself where they have some good deals..

Overall its a great little package perhaps for kids but not to leave the adults out there is 30 games here which will bring you back to those years and Sega games we all remember so so well,this is of course if you came from the same days of the original formats. It will keep you occupied and also keep kids occupied and not forgetting there is a headphone socket to boot so you can also have some peace with whoever plays with it that’s if they don’t want to hook it up to your main TV..

Even in the U.S., I am occasionally disquieted by undertones of isolation, impersonality and even danger, that threaten our society’s vulnerable, from the disappearance of young children to the unintended neglect of the elderly and those with special needs. Such thoughts, along with my own personal concern for the wellbeing and safety of my children and loved ones, lead me to develop Dristee, a system-based product to help meet the increasingly complex safety needs of coming generations. Cyber security seminar this Wednesday will provide free advice for businesses on protecting themselves from cyber crime

 Businesses of all sizes are at serious risk of cyber attacks that could cause financial loss and reputational damage. That’s according to Paul Browne, Managing Director of Hybrid Technology Partners, a Limerick-based technology services firm.

Mr. Browne was speaking ahead of a free cyber security seminar taking place at the Bunratty Castle Hotel this Wednesday, 15th November, beginning at 9.30am.  Ireland’s Deputy Data Commissioner, John O’Dwyer, will be the keynote speaker at the event.

Speaking in advance of the seminar, Paul Browne said: “Cyber attacks don’t just affect major international companies.  All businesses, no matter their size or location, are at risk of attack.

“Cyber criminals are very sophisticated and use complex software, which means businesses of all sizes and in all sectors can be infected by malicious viruses.  This can result in a loss of highly sensitive data, such as customers’ personal information. 

“Cyber attacks can have serious financial and reputational implications for businesses, and can take months and years to recover from.  A recent survey has shown that 36 per cent of Irish businesses have experienced a cyber attack already this year, and this is likely to increase.  Our seminar will equip businesses in the mid-west region with knowledge on how to protect their customers and their business.”

Regular Package requests cost Senders €12.30 to send. Senders also have the option to nominate the amount they are willing to pay to get an ‘Urgent’ package delivered. This amount is between €30-€300.
