The all new #Nokia8 has #OZO audio, #Zeiss optics and #bothie mode for €599

Nokia have finally announced their flagship device the Nokia 8. THe device is set to go on sale in September and with a cost price said to be at the €599 mark. The all new flagship comes in array of colours, following the design language of its previous devices the 3,5 and 6 which makes sense. The Nokia 8 comes at a time where the market is now very competitive so it has much to stand up against and with the iPhone 8 and Galaxy Note 8 due soon its got a lot of competition but it does have a few tricks up its sleeve and the price point is also something to consider which is not going to be near what the future flagships from its competitors are going to offer which will see prices in at the €999 mark which is a large sum of money to ask for.

The USPs of the new device are as mentioned in the headline Bothie Mode means you can simulataniously shoot with both cameras on the device which sounds great although we have seen it before we can now livestream to YouTube and Facebook with this feature and it will come in handy for many people and that includes myself…

ZIESS Optics are back once again which is again another welcome move as fans of old know how good their cameras have been on Lumia devices over the years so you are guarenteed a great shot.

Nokia 8 features a 13 MP dual image-fusion rear camera with both colour and monochrome sensors, plus a wide-angle 13 MP phase detection auto-focus front camera. Both front and rear cameras are equipped with ZEISS optics, meaning every snapshot moment becomes a story worth sharing.

OZO AUDIO

This is what is used in their virtual reality headset but now it has become a feature on the Nokia 8 this means with the 4K recording it can capture 360 degree audio and you can broadcast live and you can listen to this too on Facebook in 360..

Could we see the #Nokia3310 #3G sooner than we think? #Nokia #Ireland

There has been talk about the current Nokia 3310 been somewhat not sufficient enough but after all its more of a nostalgic affair rather than offering the mods and cons but then again there is plenty of things to do on the Nokia 3310 as is to keep people occupied and for me it’s quite a nice little phone and is ideal for going away and forgetting the news and your social media and of course emails, You can make calls and send sms which is adequate for those who just want a break from it all..

Funnily enough some people have said they would abstain from the current Nokia 3310 due to it being 2.5G and having the fear that the networks will be switching 2.5G off soon, but we already asked and it wont happen for quite some time yet..

Three Ireland today may have let something slip on this 3G version many await although its been heard that Three will not stock the current 2.5G model until September and are focussing on the current Nokia 3,5 and 6 which the 5 and 6 are exclusive to the network but when you think about this tweet they posted today it kind of makes sense about the 3G version and not even bother with the 2.5G model, What do you think??

VIDEO REVIEW

Nokia 6 – We take our first look at the #Nokia6 #Nokia #Ireland.

We have got out hands on the Nokia 6 dual sim and have been using it for a few days now and we wanted to check it out first and load it up with apps before we take a closer look at it. So far its been quite impressive and especially the camera and it been working fine with plenty of apps on board and the usual social media accounts and so on..

Build quality here is quite good and it feels solid in the hand and it also looks well its got some familiar traits of old too but overall its solid which is important, the screen is big which is good for media consumption however a bit on the dark side I find in fact similar to the Blackberry KeyOne but its no big deal for me. I will be testing this further over the coming weeks and using it as my daily driver so it will be interesting to see how it goes over time with the heavy usage I tend to give my devices. For now so far so good but time will shed a light no doubt, It is good though to finally sport a device I can use with the Nokia logo atop and so far any that have seen it like it too. With a 5.5 inch screen, 3000 mAh battery and built-in fingerprint scanner on the home key, 16 MP shooter has it enough? Any questions fire away below or get me on social. We still have no date for launch in Ireland yet but the Nokia 3 is set to launch August 2nd if you cant wait or dont want to spend some more on your next phone that has that famous Nokia branding.

Nokia 3 Hits Ireland in August at €149.99 Whilst it can be bought in the UK now. #Nokia3

There is still a bit of hype about the Nokia 3310 however there is several other models which are soon to land on our shores, Thankfully there is no fake versions of the 3,5 and 6 to be seen yet we still need to be careful. Also to note the Nokia 6 can be purchased from some online sites right now outside the UK  but you need to be careful on what you get and it has the Play Store installed but with Android there is many ways around this.

Nokia are to come back into the game this year with multiple models but their launch plans have followed suit of old and dates being pushed back this is not boding well for users waiting to get a new phone with the NOKIA logo atop. Also with other devices launching next month it will become a very picky market for people to decide on what their next smartphone will be regardless the cost but for entry level and mid tier which the 3,5 and 6 will cover there is already ample choice and with more devices coming soon it will leave people who are fed up just spending their hard earned cash on other models..

Vodafone will be selling the Nokia 3 and are the first to shed light on the device whilst the other operators remain silent but we expect that to change pretty soon, The price comfirmed by their latest mazagine which I picked up today in the city has the Nokia 3 pencilled in at €149 which is a fair price. The device can be bought though sim free but you will pay way over the odds and of course you have the early adopter rush which wont stop some folk paying more now rather than waiting.

Vodafone have said to keep an eye out early August for the Nokia 3 so if this is for you stay tuned for more when we get it from the Irish end of things. Pricing will most likely vary per network but this is what you can expect to pay or therabouts when it launches in stores soon, Sim Free prices of course are much higher but Sim Free phones are best overall and does not leave you tied to lenghty contract unless you buy it outright if it suits. At this price though we would expect to see it free on all billpay plans..

If you cant wait you can pick it up from John Lewis or Clove whom are reputable sellers and we have used them both in the past..

Note, Prices and dates are subject to change. We have heard August 2nd is launch date and all networks will be selling the device

We unbox and take a look at the #Nokia3310 2017 #Nokia #Ireland #HMDGlobal

The day has finally arrived, the all new 2017 edition of the Nokia 3310 has landed here and we are going to unbox the New model and compare it to its older version which was around in the year 2000. We have side by side pics and we go through the entire menu and what is avaialble. There is plenty here to keep you busy should you have the phone with you but the only painful part is the typing. It will take a few mintues to adjust to how we all used to type all them years ago but the keys are tactile and nice and overal the phone feels much more ergonomic in the hand its half as thick as its predessor..

We do however have a camera on board with several features, A radio, SD card support, 1200mAh battery ,Notes,Games 2MP camera with flash and a torch, Opera mobile store a voice recorder and some more. If there is anything you need to know just ask and dont forget to be aware of the scams going around with the fake models that have appeared on the market here, Read all about that over HERE
