Shadow Arena Enters Steam Early Access on May 21. #Gaming #Steam #ShadowArena

Today Pearl Abyss announced that Shadow Arena, their upcoming 40 player hero action battle royale game, will be globally available for free through Steam early access on May 21.

Shadow Arena pits 40 players against each other in a ruthless fight to be the last person standing on the battlefield. Players can choose from nine playable characters, each with their own unique fighting style. To climb to the top of the pack, players must slay monsters and collect loot to upgrade their gear and gain buffs. However, impeccable skill execution and well-timed evasive tactics are critical in securing victory.

Shadow Arena was originally a mode within Black Desert, but was eventually developed into its own stand-alone game. While Shadow Arena does take inspiration from Black Desert, it has created its own unique style that draws from the MOBA, battle royale, and MMO genres to create a unique game. Shadow Arena has three gameplay modes: solo, duo, and AI. While players can show off their skills in solo mode, complex and strategic gameplay is required to emerge victorious in team mode. Duo mode allows players to enjoy distinctive co-op experiences that create a new style of PvP action. Players can hone their skill with AI bot in the AI mode.

Current language support for the Shadow Arena closed beta includes English, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Indonesian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Red Bull Solo Q is here to give League of Legends esports fans the ultimate 1v1 experience. #RedBull #Gaming

The 2020 official 1v1 League of Legends (LoL) tournament for amateur players worldwide, Red Bull Solo Q (formerly Red Bull Player One), starts next week! The first Irish online qualifier will take place on Thursday (16th April), and is now open to amateur gamers in Ireland to register to play, visit redbull.ie/soloq to sign up, and for news and information on format, rules & eligibility.

In 2019, the competition, previously known as Red Bull Player One, saw 25,000 registrants from 29 countries battling for the title. This 2020 season, the community can expect over 35 National Qualifiers & Finals, International Online Qualifiers and new tournament stages

Red Bull Solo Q puts a twist on a typical League of Legends match, pitting two players against one another in a bracket of 1v1 duels. The first player to earn ‘First blood!’, destroy the opponents´ tower or reach a 100-minion score, wins the duel. There are four qualifiers offering four chances for players from the island of Ireland to represent Ireland at the European Final.

As part of the partnership with League of Legends Global Esports Events, the global winner of Red Bull Solo Q will get to experience the 2020 League of Legends All-Star event first hand! The champion will participate in the League’s annual year-end celebration alongside some of the game’s biggest esports athletes and streaming personalities, playing in special showcases and attending exclusive parties. Red Bull also continues its collaboration with one of the most popular faces in the League of Legends community: Sjokz, who will return as the global brand ambassador for Red Bull Solo Q.

Last year’s Irish champion, Prototype, or Mateusz Kowalczyk of Cork City, had the honour of representing Ireland at the Global Final of Red Bull Player One in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

FUZE4 Nintendo Switch – Share Games You Have Created using FUZE4 Nintendo Switch with Anyone. Plus New Price Point! #Gaming #FUZE4

FUZE Technologies Ltd have announced that, on February 1st, the price for FUZE4 Nintendo Switch – their learn to code platform for Nintendo Switch – will be as follows:

UK £12.99

EU €14.99

US $19.99

The new price

Since the release of FUZE4 Nintendo Switch the community of FUZE users has grown and the community platform, FUZEArena has reached critical mass.

Jon Silvera, MD of FUZE states “We’re really excited to lower the price to a level that is truly accessible to the broadest possible audience. F4NS is, at its core, an educational application designed to make learning to code as accessible as possible, and as such, a low price point was always planned.”

FUZE Arena, the community portal

A new patch released in January added many new features to F4NS with undoubtedly the most important being open sharing. Whereas previously, projects could only be shared between friend IDs, now all projects can submitted to the FUZE Arena portal where they are given a unique code. The code can be entered in FUZE to download the project.

Projects are upvoted by users with the very best appearing in the FUZE Showcase for all to see. The FUZE Arena community portal provides an incredible resource for FUZE users. From tips from the pros, to the complete online help, to regular Game Jams, video tutorials and competitions, it’s a haven for coders of all abilities and talents.

A key objective behind the development of F4NS was to ensure it is easy to learn for absolute beginners and yet powerful and flexible enough for advanced coders to show off their ‘1337’ coding skillz! The FUZE community have already proved this objective has been met as there are many incredible looking games and technical demos currently available and more are being added every day.

New features

The latest patch also adds many new functions and commands including powerful 3D functions like intersect collision, object grouping and extended environment commands exponentially expanding the 3D creative possibilities. In addition, 2D also sees many new Tile Map functions dramatically increasing the scope of 2D level maps meaning complex levels can be interacted with and controlled with ease.

FUZE Player

Within the next few months FUZE are planning to release, for free, a special version of FUZE called the FUZE Player. The player allows Nintendo Switch users to download and play FUZE projects for free. If your project has made the grade on FUZE Arena it will be available for the world to see.. and play!

The future of FUZE

FUZE4 Nintendo Switch is just the beginning. Over the coming months teamFUZE will start working on new platforms with a plan to release these over the next 24 months.

With the latest new features and the new ‘very low’ price the time to get involved is right here, right now!
