Crowdsize is a neat app for outdoor event organisers. #Apps #Events

Want to have an event outdoors and wonder how many people would fit in the selected area??Yes we can guess or use suggested or use areas that are known or points of interest this new app aims to make event organisers visually get an idea of what an area can hold simply by drawing a perimeter on your device,sounds handy?? Not only is it used for just this purpose it can be used for property,construction and parks and so on. What is good here is this app can be used anywhere in the world, Sadly for now its just on iOS…

 

 

CrowdSize uses Apple Maps to produce an aerial view of any location in the world and operates in portrait mode. First type in the location of your event, or use the voice recognition feature on your keypad, and zoom into it’s exact location. Next tap the perimeter outline of the area you want to study, then use the slider to select a light, medium or dense factor for the number of people you see. Press Done and that’s it. The approximate number of people within your perimeter is presented. You can clear the calculation and the perimeter you just drew by shaking the device if you want to produce a new calculation.

 

 

 

Features

CrowdSize can do more than estimate crowds. It can also use it’s aerial images for estimating
areas in square feet or square meters. Prepare area estimates for bodies of water, parks or real
estate and multiply your area calculation by your own density factor to estimate numbers of
parking spaces or sod for the coverage of a homeowner’s yard. CrowdSize can also estimate
the area of roof tops, paving and landscaping for construction contractors and property
managers, and the calculations can be for any location in the world.

Aerium – Gives you rain alerts the day before it’ll rain. #Weather #Apps

Most of us rely on the weather forecasts we hear on the radio or see on the TV after the news bulletins and most of the time they are right but sometimes they are wrong, long range forecasts for example realistically speaking can be 10 days long anything else is waffle as far as im concerned, As a weather fan I use apps that give live data or trustworthy apps We are all used to seeing clickbait weather reports saying “HORROR ATLANTIC STORM” for example which was recent on our own news and then the ones we see that state “The coldest winter in decades/The hottest Summer on record) There is one person most weather buffs will know who comes out with that and the red tops that post it, Just ignore those headlines.

For the most of us we like short range forecasts,there is plenty of apps that are available for that we have featured quite a few over the last year or so and one app just recent. Today we are here to talk about a new app called Aerium which is available on Android and iOS..

The app has a simple clean user UI and within the app you can push notifications a day before its set to rain,Of course this is location based and will require you to have your location on.. Having used the app for a few day’s its just a simple elegant app thats easy to use and set up and easy on your battery to boot..

There’s 3 of us behind the app, a designer (me), my brother (iOS developer) and a good friend of mine (Android). We made Aerium as a beautifully working alternative to those heavy weather apps. The download number of the app is somewhere around 90k on iOS only. The feedback from them was fantastic. 

Right now we’re working to release the second version of the app alongside with its Apple Watch & TV companion apps. It’s going to be awesome.

A few months ago Siddhant Jain launched the app Tech World which is a really nice app bringing you the latest in technology news,You can also find us on the app. Following suit Siddhant hast just launched a new app for the motor enthusiast with the same UI and features as we have seen before which is simple and easy to use…To date we have found the previous app Tech World quite nice,reliable and consistent.

Windyty is a beautiful weather app with great animations. #Weather #Apps

There is no shortage of weather apps available today and thats a given,we are spoiled for choice and to what one is the best this will always be an arguable topic.For me I use quite a few such as Dark Sky,Real Time lightning maps and NW storm radar,they all serve the purpose I use them for,I have never been on to rely on long range forecasts and normally check for live information with the likes of NW storm radar..

This app called Windyty has a nice website and app to boot with nice animations and uses several model outputs you should pin it to your bookmarks on your desktop if you require detailed information.. (Windyty) The app is on Android now and coming to iOS soon.

This new Irish app is something Coeliacs would like to download which is now available on both Android and iOS and of course its free..

Goodness Grains is a young Irish Company set up in 2013 to bring quality Fresh Gluten Free Products to the Coeliac Consumer in Ireland and increasingly non-coeliacs choosing a Gluten Free Diet.Located in Longford, our bakery is one of very few purpose built gluten free bakeries in the country. This offers Coeliacs complete peace of mind in relation to issues of concern for them, i.e. traceability and cross contamination of GF products. In all, the bakery has over 40 years of gluten free baking expertise.

 

 

I am for sure no food expert and a pretty limited palate but I can see how this app would be ideal for Coeliacs due to the lack of information in food outlets and so on.This app aims to give advice on where people with a gluten free diet can eat and comes in several languages and with options to suggest more..

This App has 2 primary functions to hopefully make life a little easier for you – (1) A Coeliac Eating Out Card translated into 12 languages and (2) A non-definitive guide to restaurants throughout Ireland that provide a Gluten Free offering.

 

 

The Eating Out Card will ensure that you can visit restaurants when abroad and confidently explain your requirements in the native language. The App includes many European languages as well as Chinese and some faraway places such as Nepalese!

The Restaurant Guide is a simple non-definitive aid to help you locate a restaurant, hotel or café serving a gluten free option in your locality. Particularly helpful if you are travelling throughout the country and also visiting new places in Ireland. As with the language translations, we can also add a new restaurant if you notify us.

Netflix launched new app for fast.com… Back in May they launched this speed test for your desktop or mobile browser which was adequate enough so one has to wonder why the app….And why now,they could have released it together with the web version. Anyway it is now available to download right away and if you want to obtain it get it from the links below.. To be fair the app is fast and does the job but not sure why there was a need for it…

Irish App S.M.I.L.E.R simplifies sharing to multiple social media accounts. #IrishApps

This is a handy new app for those who like to share things to social media.. Not just one account but several accounts like Twitter,Facebook,Instagram and LinkedIn..You might want to ask why would you do this but its what is done these days to spread the news or images for example, There is other options out there to do it but not many central hubs which can do it all for you, For example I use Instagram as it allows me to reach Twitter and Facebook within the app,One downside to this is it cuts off the text on Twitter not allowing the full description to show eliminating keywords which could be vital for some…

Some people perhaps are not aware of sharing to multiple platforms and those new to social media too but no you know there are ways to multi-share saving you time and hassle.Today we are here to talk about a new app called S.M.I.L.E.R  (Social Media Integrated Linking Exchange Resource) was created by Neil Barrett which is now on the Android Platform and FREE..
