The SHOKZ OpenFit Pro are the latest earphones from the company, the OpenFit Pro utilizes a flexible nickel-titanium core wrapped in soft-touch silicone, allowing the hooks to mold around the ear contour securely and fit like a glove and will not budge even for the heavy exercises some might do.
Shokz replaces bone conduction with refined air conduction for the OpenFit series, and the Pro variant takes materials up a notch. Wrapped in Ultra-Soft Silicone 2.0 with a flexible titanium alloy core inside the ear hooks, these sit weightlessly above the ear canal. They balance weight exceptionally well so you avoid in-ear pressure buildup during long workouts or all-day work shifts. The OpenFit Pro use Physical Tactile Buttons Instead of tricky touch sensors that fail when covered in sweat or during rainy outdoor runs, the OpenFit Pro utilizes raised physical buttons for reliable playback control. Sweatproof Build Rated IP55 for moisture protection, meaning heavy gym sessions, downpours, and road dust are easy non-issues.
On the controls side all you need here is present with simple taps or holding in the small button and the button is responsive and works well and is tactile you can modify the controls here in the app to suit your requirements making them super easy to use and the commands you need at your fingertips these work well as you will see in the video review below.
On the sound department we are getting very close to in-ear sound with open ear type earphones they do not have ANC however much of the sound is blocked and decent enough if you are not a fan of full blown ANC you are also aware of your surroundings too which is a good thing.
On listening to music podcasts or watching movies these sound great as said above almosr an in ear earbud experience and no issues to report,highs lows and mids all great and again you have the app to customise the EQ and add your own. Volume is also decent here an no tinny sound when maxed out or any distortion noticed.
Open-ear earbuds traditionally suffer from thin, tinny audio, but the Shokz SuperBoost architecture and OpenBass 2.0 provide impressive low-end punch. While they won’t recreate the sub-bass force of fully sealed in-ear monitors, workout tracks remain lively, punchy, and clear without muddying vocals.
OpenFit Pro also introduces Shokz’s first Open-Ear Noise Reduction technology, helping to minimise surrounding noise while preserving the benefits of open-ear listening. Combined with AI-enhanced triple microphones that reduce background noise during calls, users can enjoy clearer conversations wherever they are and again this worked well on my testing.
Overall the OpenFit Pro are ideal for any user indoors or outdoors with an IP55 rating and especially those into fitness where they will remain on your ears and give you great audio.
You also have head tracking on board which is something I am custom to now but lots have tried this feature yet in general and when it is available like it is here you should try it.
