EnergyCloud Monthly Wasted Clean Energy Report for July 2026 - techbuzzireland.com
EnergyCloud’s Monthly Wasted Clean Energy Report for July 2026, which shows that dispatch down, or wasted wind energy in July 2026 continues to average over €1.6 million per day since the Government came to power and again as per last month we have a trend that is still going the wrong way.
While we await the recommendations of the NEAT (National Energy Affordability Taskforce) for this year’s budget, EnergyCloud continue to show what is possible.  We are demonstrating every day across Ireland that when there is waste in the system it is possible to use that as a signal to heat people’s homes and water for free.
In fact, in the 7 months to 31 July 2026, EnergyCloud, with the help of our Energy Retailer partners, our corporate donors and the Local Authority and Approved Housing Bodies that we work with have heated over 40,000 tanks of hot water for people in energy poverty for free.

In EnergyCloud, we believe that using the knowledge of what is possible, it is vital in Budget 2027 that the Government begin to deliver on the commitments in the Programme for Government to use surplus renewable energy, that would otherwise be wasted, to help those in energy poverty.
If not now, then when?
