Now offering x7.1 zoom – the telephoto optical zoom lens has a focal length of 85mm to 170mm and telephoto macro photography with a maximum magnification of approximately 2x and a minimum focus distance of 4cm, even without a dedicated macro lens.

This lens utilises optical zoom, facilitating significant magnification and the capture of high-definition images of distant subjects with uncompromised image quality for both tele-macro and portraiture photography. Additionally, telephoto macro photography, leveraging the zoom lens structure for close-up shots, empowers users to seize images characterised by crisp detail and pronounced bokeh, surpassing the visual acuity of the naked eye. This capability extends to capturing intricate details, such as a flower’s centre delivering powerfully expressive results for the user.

Newly equipped with AF tracking with human pose estimation – an AI feature cultivated with Alpha™ series cameras

The rear camera integrates AI technology to recognise the human skeleton, enabling precise AF tracking even in challenging shooting scenarios due to potential obstructions that conceal the subject’s visibility. This advanced functionality ensures consistent and accurate tracking, optimising image capture in a diverse series of environments.

A new camera app that allows users to express themselves in a simple and intuitive manner

The Xperia 1 VI camera app has undergone a significant update, featuring a user-friendly interface designed for seamless navigation. For ease of watching in bright conditions, the new display is 1.5 times brighter than the previous model. Furthermore, the new Sunlight Vision delivers improved visibility in outdoor environments, not only brightening the image, but also performing AI image processing to prevent overexposed highlights by analysing the frames and the environmental brightness in real-time.

Sony announces the update route for their phones. #Android #Nougat #Update #Xperia

Just a few days ago, we read about the public release of a consumer ready Android 7.0 Nougat for the masses. But although this is great news, the well known Android update stress began.

But amongst  all that chaos, there are some OEMs that have served  well their customers when it comes to OS updates, one of them is Sony who just anounced which devices will be updated first.

Xperia Z3+
Z4 Tablet
Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium
Xperia X, XA, XA Ultra and X Performance

These devices were the ovious choices as actual or former flagships, but something that caught our attention was the ommision of the regular Xperia Z3 as the company let users installed an early version of the OS.

As it has happen before, probably this first list of phones will be updated later with new additions like the M or C series of phones released on 2015.

But what do you think about this? What are your most expected features of this update? Let us know in the comment section below.

Stay tuned for more info about this update.

Sony has just updated the Camera App on the Z5 Line up By @VicenteA_George #Sony #Camera #XperiaZ5

Today is a great day! After several years Sony has finally decided to update their Camera App but for now, just for the Z5 Line-up

The version has jump to 2.0.0

This is something most of the reviewers and users have been begging for since quite a time now, though I personally found the Sony camera UI really clean and simple is truth that now maybe is “too simple”

Well, apparently the complaint made it to Sony’s ears and now we have this.

Now you can now simply swipe to switch between the main camera modes like Superior Auto, Manual, Video and Xperia Camera apps.

According to some users the start-up time has been reduce, but apart from that, there’s no such a different in quality or processing speed.

So if you are expecting manual controls like Lumia or LG you’ll have to wait another update (in the best scenario)

As a bonus, we have now check that if you are rocking a Z3+ you’ll also be able to install this new version, but previous generations will need root.

For updating, just go to “What’s new?” on your devices and look for the update.

#Sony announced its 2015 #Flagship # Smartphone – Sony Xperia Z4 in Japan by @Tiwaash #Android

For quite a time now we have seen leaks details of Sony of their flagship device for the year 2015 the Xperia Z4 and we know almost every detail of the device even before the company officially announced the Sony Xperia Z4 at Japan. There has been mixed results as to what people think of the Z4 which seems to be more of a spec bump than a new model,so they have played it safe this time round again, similar to the Z3 however I like these model’s personally so look forward to seeing the new flagship.

Sony Xperia Z4 has a 5.2 inch Triluminos display with Live Colour LED powered by X-Reality engine, 600 cd brightness and resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is equipped to lure the mobile photography enthusiasts like it’s predecessor, boasting a 20.7 MP rear auto focus camera with f Exmor RS sensor and LED flash and for selfie lovers has a front facing 5.1 MP camera with Exmor R sensor.

Xperia Z4 is powered by the octa core Snapdragon 810 processor with 4G support, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The device runs Android Lollipop and gets its energy with a 2930 mAh battery. The device has IPX5 / IPX8 ratings for dust and water resistance. The handset is available in White, Black, Copper and Aqua Green colour options. Pricing and global roll out details were not mentioned either leaving fans in more doubt.

Adrian Weckler of the irish independent on the Nokia Lumia 1020 #Nokia #Ireland

The tech editor of the irish indo has another say on the 1020,although at this stage his thoughts and impressions on nokia and windows are well known here is what adrian says this time,he crowns the SONY Z1 as the best!

Nokia Lumia 1020 Megapixel king is slightly underpowered Sony Xperia Z1 All-round top pick with the odd glitch  Samsung Galaxy S4 Solid camera – but it lacks the firepower of its rivals Apple iPhone 5S Small screen but bigger pixels and slow-mo video

With screens power and gimmickry all but maxxed out, there is one feature that distinguishes the very poshest smartphones – their onboard cameras.

But are megapixels really the measure of quality? And how do the top models compare?

nokia lumia 1020

If megapixels are a metric by which to measure the prowess of cameraphones, Nokia’s 41-megapixel Lumia would appear to have the game wrapped up.

However it’s not quite so straightforward.

Megapixels achieve one main goal: detail. Thus, photographs taken on the 4.5-inch Lumia 1020 (in Procam mode only) reveal an extraordinary degree of detail when the photo is blown up. By this measure, and by the generous 32GB of onboard storage, the 1020 blows the competition away.

But there is more to a (non-blown-up) photo than simply detail and, here, I found that the 1020 performed more closely in line with its rivals.

The mega-megapixel shots typically measure over 10 megabytes per photo, meaning that only lower-resolution backup shots are really suitable for sharing online.

The camera is also a little slow, being slight-underpowered by its dual-core chip. Still, having an external camera button is good, even if it defaults to the lower-resolution format.
