Playing Trials of Osiris and More PvP in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 has been improving and expanding more in recent years. With new expansions, there are more updates in the game to look out for. One of the hottest modes in the game right now is the PvP mode, specifically Trials of Osiris.

If you’re new to Destiny 2, be prepared for a challenging and competitive play or opt for a Trial of Osiris Flawless Carry option. Nevertheless, you still have to know many things about Destiny 2’s PvP and Trials of Osiris, which we will discuss in this article.

PvP in Destiny 2

The Crucible modes, as Destiny 2 veterans call them, are unlocked the first time a player joins the game. However, some modes are more complex than others, especially for newbies. Under the Player-versus-Player (PvP) game category, aside from the Trials of Osiris, you can choose from the following modes:

  • Survival – Exhaust the lives of the players in the opposing team to win the round in this three-player team mode.
  • Mayhem – A mode that requires six players for each team. The first team to reach 125 points wins. Killing the other team will give you a point, while killing using Super or abilities will add two more points.
  • Rumble – The first to earn 30 points by killing a player wins.
  • Control – Another six-versus-six mode where teams capture and control marked zones. One point is given for one kill, and the first team to reach 150 points wins.
  • Elimination – Three players for each team need to kill and defeat the entire enemy team to win.
  • Clash – A timed game where the first team to get 150 points wins, or whichever team has more points after the time.
  • Showdown – The goal is to defeat the other team as much as you can before the timer ends.
  • Vaulted PvP modes – More modes, including Breakthrough, Countdown, Team Scorched, Trials of the Nine, and others, fall under this.

Trials of Osiris

Trials, in general, fall under the Elimination mode, where teams have to defeat the other team entirely in order to win. Trials of Osiris is a top PvP activity that can be played every weekend where you can gain Valor.

Game Schedule

Like mentioned, Trials of Osiris can be played every weekend. This starts during the reset time on Fridays and lasts until Tuesday. This means you can play from Friday at 17:00 GMT to Tuesday.

Game Mechanics

Based on the elimination PvP mode, three players on a team will have to fight with their best to kill the members of the other team and vice versa. Anyone who’s killed won’t be respawned automatically until one of their teammates resurrects them.

To resurrect a team member, you must go to their location and hold the resurrection button for some period. If your team killed all the three members of the other team, you win that specific round.

Trials of Osiris is a game composed of five rounds. The first team to win three rounds will win the whole game. Each round lasts for only a certain amount of time and has a timer that pushes players to challenge their enemies in combat.

For rounds where no entire team was defeated until the end of the time limit, the teams can find a flag appearing in the middle of the map. The first one to take it takes the round as well.

Trials Passages

The latest version of Trials of Osiris came with five interesting Passages. Each of them has its own benefits to the players when climbing to the Lighthouse, and each depends on the number of wins and losses of a player. If you’ve been defeated three times, you can’t proceed for Trials until you buy a new Passage or reset the one you have.

You can also only hold one Passage at a time, but you can change it whenever you want to. But, be reminded that changing your Passage will reset your progress. You can get these five exotic Passages from Saint-14:

  • Mercy – One loss can be forgiven per ticket.
  • Ferocity – If you have no losses, a third win will give you an additional bonus win.
  • Confidence – You can unlock this only after going Flawless since you will be granted rewards from the Flawless chest.
  • Wealth – This is unlocked after five wins and grants more tokens after winning Trials matches.
  • Wisdom – You can only unlock this after seven wins. This Passage will give you bonus XP based on the number of Trials wins indicated on your ticket.

Aside from these, there are also some rewards you can get in the game. You can receive Luminous Engrams based on your number of wins as a reward. At the same time, Flawless victory allows you to reach the Lighthouse to gain pinnacle gears from the chest.

Tips on Playing Trials of Osiris

To be able to ride the tides of this competitive game, here are some helpful basic tips you can etch on your mind when you play:

  • Learn how to play the game properly.
  • Understand your character’s skills and how to upgrade them.
  • Communicate with your teammates on strategies in game and off.
  • Utilize the benefits of Passages.
  • Develop an efficient and effective plan on your own or with your team.

Everything might be overwhelming, especially if you’re new to Destiny 2. Although it sounds like a lot of work, playing Trials of Osiris is made competitive so that it can be fun. It doesn’t matter if you win all the time – enjoy playing the game.

OPPO Unveils Series of New Imaging Technologies, Leading the Future of Smartphone Imaging Development

Today, leading global smart device brand OPPO revealed a series of breakthroughs in smartphone imaging technology focused on upgrades to sensors, modules, and algorithms. The innovations include OPPO’s next-generation RGBW sensor, OPPO’s 85-200mm continuous optical zoom, OPPO’s Five-axis OIS technology, and OPPO’s next-generation under-screen camera. Unveiled at OPPO’s Future Imaging Technology launch event, the announcements reflect OPPO’s commitment to optimising existing imaging technologies to allow users to capture top-quality photography with ease.

Next-generation RGBW sensor enhances light sensitivity with improved colour performance

OPPO’s new RGBW sensor significantly improves light sensitivity by introducing additional white sub-pixels(W), groundbreaking DTI technology, and OPPO’s self-developed 4-in-1 pixel algorithm. Providing improved low-light capture, the new sensor captures 60% more light than previous sensors while achieving a 35% reduction in noise* to deliver clearer and brighter images in low-light conditions.

The upgraded sensor also offers improved colour performance. By increasing the level of computing power needed to execute complex algorithms, the sensor maximises the amount of data extracted from white pixels. OPPO’s 4-in-1 pixel algorithm boosts the sensor’s colour performance to prevent issues such as colour inaccuracy. Industry-leading DTI pixel isolation technology and DeepSi processing prevent sub-pixel crosstalk to improve image quality.  The next-generation RGBW sensor is also able to enhance photo and video portraits, offering improvements to skin, texture and contrast. The new sensor will be commercially released in OPPO products from Q4 2021.

New modules to support super smooth zoom and clearer snapshots

OPPO’s new 85-200mm module delivers continuous optical zoom to support super smooth zoom. Capturing sharp images at every magnification level, from close-up portraits to landscapes, users can enjoy a smooth transition with the continuous optical zoom range for professional-level image quality. The module avoids problems like jumping, white balance inaccuracy, and colour bias experienced by conventional multi-camera zoom systems. The module redesigns the hardware of the existing structural module, with advancements including:

  • Adoption of G+P (glass + plastic) lens technology with two ultra-thin, high-precision aspheric glass lenses to boost optical effects such as minimising stray light.
  • A tunnel magnetoresistance sensor (TMR sensor) to allow the lenses within the camera module to move with increased stability and precision.
  • An upgraded guiding shaft motor to increase the dynamic tilt which the lens system can be moved at, supporting continuous optical zoom at higher magnifications.

The new OPPO five-axis OIS guarantees clearer snapshots by receiving and analysing  movement data from the gyroscope and using algorithms to break it down into respective components. The data is then passed to the lens and image sensor, which are driven by ball-bearing motors and shape memory alloys. When the amplitude of the movement is relatively large, sensor-shift OIS will be utilised – including horizontal shifting (x), vertical shifting (y), and rolling – together with algorithm compensation, to achieve five-axis stabilisation. This allows a maximum stabilisation angle of ±3°, three times more than traditional OIS technology on mobile devices, while the sensor can also shift with a precision of 2μm. For night-time or motion shots, OPPO’s proprietary algorithm technology improves stability, clarity, and colour performance, increasing the vibration compensation performance by up to 65%. The OPPO Five-axis OIS will be commercially released in OPPO products from Q1 2022.

New Algorithm: OPPO algorithms support next-generation USC to deliver the perfect balance between screen and camera quality

OPPO showcased its next-generation under-screen camera solution for future smartphones. The innovative pixel geometry ensures a 400-PPI high-quality display in the USC area. Using transparent wiring and a new design, the result provides clear display quality with a smoother visual experience. OPPO’s proprietary screen technology enables each pixel circuit to drive only 1 pixel. Combined with OPPO’s precise algorithmic compensation technology, this allows the screen brightness to be precisely controlled with a deviation of about 2%, and an improved screen lifespan of up to 50%.

OPPO’s Research Institute has developed a series of imaging AI algorithms including diffraction reduction, anti-condensation, HDR and AWB, to optimise imaging quality of the under-screen camera. By training its AI diffraction reduction model using tens of thousands of images to control problems caused by light diffraction, users can capture clearer, more natural images.

As consumer demand for better imaging technologies evolves, OPPO continues to strengthen its global R&D capacities to provide users with an even better imaging experience.

Tech Review – Apple Magsafe Charger.

I have adopted wireless charging some time now and Apple here have been slow to bring us products and third party offerings have cashed in while we waited for Apple to drop us something themselves nd even with Magsafe totalled out at 15W it is still piss poor from the company that gives us less each year omitting something from their iPhone box for example and claiming it saves the environment but when you go to buy the missing item from the box should you need it, guess what it ships in yes you guessed it another box..

The design is simple a circular puck shape if you will and well built buy the looks and feel of it so it all aint that bad and the price is arguably fair compared to other wireless chargers out there too. One thing I wonder though is how long will it stay so clean being white after months of use time will tell I guess.

Simplicity here is the key to take away from the product as it just sticks to the back of the device even with a skin on and some case but thicker phone cases can be removed now if you plan on buying one..

Forté for iPhone makes good use of the magsafe charger by twelve south

15W is the best Apple can offer here which is akin to their plugs on older iPhones which is paltry compared to the competition out there today and a bit scabby in my book plus it does not work charging from pc/laptop and you need a mains plug to actually use the thing so the likes of charge banks and so on are out of the question if you are on the go, another piss poor move here.

It is faster than older chargers and that its it, the product looks nice and there is accessories out there to make us of it and it is only for the likes of people who have such and are not to bothered by slow charging speeds and I do like the ability that it snaps on nice and easy and seems to be fairly strong enough once it is not knocked hard out of place.

There is cheaper alternatives out there and shops that sell it cheaper than Apple which is funny but their build quality is not as good as Apple here but still worth a look and you can save yourself some money if you wish to pick one up..

Tech Review – Belkin Key Ring Holder for Apple Air Tag. #Belkin #AirTag #Apple

Quick and to the point with this one it is just a key ring holder after all and is one of the cheapest on the market for your AirTag but we have more to come and of course our Air Tag review and comparison to other offerings on the market such as Tile Chipolo and NotiOne. This is a simple solid holder for your Air Tag that comes in two pieces you simply just stick the tag in between the two bits of plastic, would have preferred a soft rubber material but it is what it is. Overall though it is solid it must be said.

This was purchased by ourselves on the Apple store and cost 13.95 which is cheap enough compared to other offerings out there and comes in several colours, it is secure and scratch resistant which will protect your tag from getting marked and for those who have theirs engraved it is a bonus how that holds up over time to being exposed to the elements and so on and moving around.. Check out the video for more below and we have a link to purchase below. Overall it is safe enough and will not fall off but there is always that possibility it can be removed like any trackers most people proudly show off..

Tech Review – Apple AirTag Bluetooth tracker. #AirTag #Apple

Bluetooth trackers have been around many years now and TILE being the most prominent in the market and well known and I use TILE myself and have reviewed all their products and they have been a staple for me for putting onto keys etc and then they added products to expand their use case such as stickers and thin cards like a credit card for your wallet.

Airtags have no GPS and work in a similar way to TILE with Bluetooth which has a community led environment and then uses the location services of your smartphone and find my network to communicate location information and with more iPhones on the planet than any other device this is how they have an advantage over TILE.

The set up process is rather simple and once done you can try it out at home by opening the find my app on this you then see a map of where the tag was last you can play a sound, find nearby and you have a notifications panel.. You can toggle on/off and you have a lost mode option which you can also enable and leave a number so you can be contacted once found. You can also rename the tag or remove it here too if you need to rest the device you can simply pop off the back and take out the battery and reinsert it 5 times and this can allow you to pass it on or just pair to another device.

This is ideal for those who own iphones more so but the question asked often is will these work with Android devices, if your Android device has NFC and you find one you can pick it up by just placing it at the back of your device this will then tell you if the device has been lost etc and you can disable it it is limited and in short the answer is no unless Apple perhaps want to drop the “find my” app in the play store so sorry Android users it is a no go for now..

Finally the battery life is around one year depending on ones usage and this is user replaceable with a battery you would find in you car key fob for example and the back just twists off and you will use the CR2032.

Overall great product for iPhone owners but the same still applies they can still be easily stolen as for any other tracking tag in similar format.
