The Rise of the Digital Nomad and Tools You’ll Need for the Nomadic Lifestyle

There’s little doubting the world of work is changing – and changing rapidly. Where once it was the case employees were required to suffer the humdrum Monday-Friday, 9-5 (including the often-draining daily commute), the considerable advances in connection speeds, technology and devices in recent years have heralded a new age of the remote workforce.

The move to freelance and gig working had already been growing momentum towards the end of the last decade however, with the emergence of Coronavirus and the resulting lockdown and isolation measures that ensued, employers had little choice but to embrace the concept of a geographically remote workforce.

Of course, the tech required to let full-time staff work from home is pretty much identical to that needed to allow freelancers to also join the throng, helping increase the trend for so-called digital nomads – employees happily working in a third-party capacity, untethered by the traditional confines of office space and geographical proximity.

Jobs best suited to the digital nomad model

As the web and technology have come to play an increasingly important role in all aspects of our business and social lives, so the blurring between the real and virtual worlds has continued apace and, these days, it’s almost impossible to think of any aspect of life that isn’t (at least to some degree) mirrored in the digital realm. With so much real-world information now also stored digitally, there is barely a single aspect of commerce that doesn’t now rely on electronic assets.

While there are certainly some jobs that are particularly suited to nomadic workers (e.g., programming, design, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), online marketing, etc), in truth, the majority of jobs now rely on working with computers and data. Any job that involves the production of information in a digital format could, feasibly, be performed remotely by a nomadic workforce.

The minimum requirements

Of course, to work online, you’re going to need a reasonably fast connection (the faster the better) and some kind of input device – a laptop is typically the preferred tool of choice. With WiFi now so ubiquitous in most developed nations around the world (not to mention the fact we pretty much all own connected smartphones these days), getting online should not prove a problem. Don’t forget a pair of classic Ray-Ban, they’ll protect your eyes wherever you go!

Other tools you might want to consider

A laptop and means of connection are prerequisites; however, you could also consider:

Cloud storage – Essential for backing up files

SpeakersSpeakers are particularly useful if you’re producing multimedia work but are also great for powering your Spotify work playlist

External hard drive – For when your cloud connection is running slow

A capacious, secure backpack – Required to carry work essentials safely

Travel sleep kit – Handy for when you’re pulling long hours on the road

Universal travel adaptor – An extension lead capable of plugging into any foreign power supply to keep your devices charged and working

All-in-one external power bank – Essential for when you can’t find power but need to get some juice to your gadgets. Choose a model that can power all your kit – from your laptop to mobile phone and speakers.

List Of The Practical Ways To Effectively Sell Your Software Online

Software is a computer program that lets you do specific tasks on your computer. It is an application that performs a particular task that may either be related to industrial usage or personal use. People are always in need of software which could make their work easy and fast. So, selling software online has become one of the best ways for developers to sell their products. If you are a software developer or looking forward to starting your own software business, you must read this article.

Here are some of the practical ways to effectively sell your software online:

Sell In A Niche Market

When you are looking forward to starting your software business, consider a niche market to run your business. People say, “Niche is the place where money grows” because it is easy to compete and win over customers without competition between large companies. However, if you sell your accounting software on a large scale, you will face stiff competition from big companies who sell their products online with huge discounts. You can use PayPro Global to sell your software. They will ensure it reaches the targeted audience while focusing on other things.

Have a Comprehensive Payment System

When looking forward to selling your software online, you must have a comprehensive payment system. There are numerous payment systems from which to choose. You should give customers an option to select their choice of the payment system, which builds customer trust and decreases the risk of loss because people always feel happy while using something they can trust. Security is paramount when considering payment systems as stolen information and finances are a real and massive risk for anyone who wants to sell software online.

Create Your E-Commerce Site

Creating your e-commerce platform is another way to sell your software online. You can create a site for selling or make an affiliate link with other sites selling the product. Not only will it help you save taxes, but you can also control the prices of your products. However, if you tie up with another site like Amazon or eBay, you cannot control your prices. That is why it is advised to create your platform for selling the product.

Create A Site With Well-Written Content

Creating well-written content will result in attracting more customers to your e-commerce site. People always search for products on the internet. They never buy products without knowing their features, benefits, and customer reviews. However, if your site contains well-written content for your product, it will create trust among customers. People constantly research on the web before buying any product. People will purchase your software if you give them the quality content they need. You can also start a blog for product promotion and marketing. People always search the web for ways to learn more about products. Suppose they find blogs related to your product, then they never hesitate to read it. This way, you can educate them about your product, and they feel more comfortable purchasing software online.

Increase Discounts and Offers

One of the best ways to sell your software is increasing discounts and offers. You can include a discount scheme in your payment plan offering different discounts and deals during the sale. When you provide more significant discounts for buying software in bulk, you will see your customer base rising quickly. The software has high price tags in comparison to physical market products. Thus one of the best ways to sell software is by offering discounts and offers. You can also give a free trial for your product that will help you get more customers towards your platform.

Increase Your Social Media Presence

Increasing your social media presence is one of the best ways to sell your software online. When you have a solid social media presence, it will help create trust among customers. People always search for software products on social media platforms, attracting more potential customers through your e-commerce platform. You must start using social media because it is the best way to sell your software online. It would be best if you marketed your software on all major social media platforms, including:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Twitter
  • Pinterest
  • LinkedIn
  • Google+

As these social media platforms have a vast number of users, you will get a lot of sales by promoting your software on them.

You must follow all these steps when trying to sell your software online. It will help build customer trust and increase sales records for your e-commerce platform. People constantly research the internet before buying any product, enhancing their confidence in you because you give them a quality product. If you sell software online, you must follow the above mentioned tips to generate more sales.

Tech Review – Soundcore Life P2 mini

The Soundcore Life P2 mini are a budget friendly pair of earbuds which are now part of their portfolio which is certainly becoming a tasty option for consumers which is good, there is choice here from high end to entry level earbuds which suit all pockets, these are by no means a rival to airpods either due to their cost which is around 40 euro at the time of my review however the sound factor is what most from their earbuds even when it comes to cost but the term you get what you pay for would come to mind for some but with soundcore you are playing a safe bet regardless.

These are not sporting all the bells and whistles but have most of the functions you would expect to get at this price point and in an over saturated market it is hard for newcomers to make an impression for 40 quid but Soundcore pull it off here more or less when it comes to an all round listening experience.

They have a glossy finish and look plain which for some is fine and for me it does not bother me at all but being lucky to have tested the biggest range of earbuds in Ireland I need to look at things from outside the pane and what others expect and from owning their top tier Liberty Pro 3 they do seem cheap looking to me being fair but, yes there is a but, this is fine it is a common form factor at this price. Battery life is well decent here too with around 40 hours in total and you have USB-C charging.

Sound Life P2 mini

The sound though is where is counts and overall they deliver, all you need to get a normal functioning pair of earbuds here with all the usuals thrown in you even have virtual assistant access. You have some EQ access too via the touch controls which we take a look at in the video.

There is a nice level of bass here which is ideal for bass lovers but not really heavy, highs lows and mids are fine and overall a good audio experince there was no distortion noted when maxed out on volume nor tinny either which at this price would be a common feature on some brands but mostly of cheap chinese rip offs and some current known manufacturers. No lag latency was noted either during my usual test routine. Calls where also fine both ends for the few I took whilst testing.

Features

  • Stunning Sound: Life P2 Mini true wireless earbuds have oversized triple-layer 10mm drivers to fuel powerful sound with 50% more bass for a mesmerizing listening experience.
  • 3 EQ Modes: Soundcore Signature, the default EQ, delivers well-balanced sound, while Bass Booster enhances bass-heavy music, and Podcast makes voices stand out clearly. To switch to a different mode, quickly press the right earbud 3 times.
  • Featherweight Fit: The tiny true wireless earbuds weigh just 0.16oz (4.6g), which is 10% lighter than standard earbuds. They’re so small and light that they feel practically weightless in your ears.
  • AI-Enhanced Calls: Built-in microphones on Life P2 Mini true wireless earbuds are equipped with an AI algorithm to enhance voice pick up and ensure you’re heard clearly by the other end.

Tech Review – Soundcore Life P3 earbuds

Soundcore are on a bit of a roll of late with their products and having tested their Liberty 3 Pro they will be a hard to beat pair of true wireless earbuds and I look forward to the next version of those, Recently we also tested there budget Life P2 mini and when both of these arrived I was stuck which to test first so I tested side by side and put other work aside to get a handle on both products and yet again Soundcore deliver and these would be a more affordable pair if you do not have the bucks to shell out right now for the top tier.

The Life P3 come in a really cool range of colours to start with which I love as I am fed up with the typical Black and White offerings we see so much of however most manufacturers are moving away from this and giving us colours that pop and stand out which makes a statement and in my view if you want to get noticed you need to get seen and these do just that with the fresh colorways on offer.

The case they come in is really cool with a matt finish and we have the Sky Blue colour, there is LED lights on the front with a USB-C port on the rear with the logo up top and the case is also nice to hold in the hand and a kind of large pebble shape, once opened you get the earbuds which have a really nice silver trim on the edges which make them look more premium and these stand out plus you have also got wireless charging thrown in for the mix which for me works as I have wireless charging options all over my house and office.

Soundcore Life P3 techbuzzireland

These are the typical stem finish which looks well and not to bold or standoutish either and once fitted with the right tips these sit well and will not move in the ears giving great noise isolation straight away. You have simple to use touch controls here which I found just about perfect with response and work every time which saves those embarrassing taps with nothing happening. They also have adopted what some other manufacturers have started doing which is an ear fit test which is welcome and will give you the benefits in the end as well as trying out the right tips which you should do with all earbuds..There is no auto play and pause detection here which might bother some however you have the controls to set up as you wish in the app and it is often the option I choose myself.

You have full app access here which is great, again we go through this in the video review, however there is no voice commands like Hey Siri for example but again this is something I never really use being honest, the app however gives you the option to makes things suited best to you and this is a feature I like and gives you more control giving you the best option to tailor the right sounds for you, highs lows and mids are fine here with decent bass too and decently loud, again these showed no lag latency either where fine on calls and did well with Netflix Youtube and more plus you have a gaming mode for some extra fun if you are a gamer. ANC works well but not much noted in the options available this though does depend on your surroundings but indoors work best in my book with a quiet environment.

Features

  • Pocket-Sized pop of Color: Life P3 noise cancelling earbuds come in 5 eye-catching colors to pair with your personal style. And the ultra-compact case fits effortlessly in small bags or pockets.
  • Fueled By The Beat: Life P3 noise cancelling earbuds’ thumping sound is produced by custom 11mm composite drivers. Activate BassUp mode in the app to further intensify bass in real-time.
  • Multi-Mode Noise Cancelling: Sync the noise cancelling to your location for an optimized experience. Transport, Outdoor, and Indoor modes are each tailored to block out irritating background noises in each environment.
  • Enhanced Call Performance: Life P3 noise cancelling earbuds have 6 microphones and an exclusive algorithm to tune out background noises. Your voice will be heard clearly on calls, video chats, livestreams, and more.

The Soundcocre Life P3 have been sent to us by the company and have had no input preview or paid us money and are seeing the review the same time as you.

Singa expands to North America and launches convertible bond offering with over 2.5M€ invested to date

Singa modernises the last analogue bastion of the entertainment industry by building the first truly  digital streaming service for karaoke. Since 2015, the company has expanded to 10 countries and  grown into a 30-strong team perfectly aligned to do for karaoke what Netflix has done for movies  and Spotify for music — to revolutionise the entire $15 billion karaoke industry and bring forth a  user experience worth celebrating.

The company has launched its modern karaoke streaming service in North America and aims to  ramp-up the go-to-market motion with a crowdfunding campaign set live at Invesdor platform 29  November 2021. The campaign has already attracted anchor investments from top Finnish investors  as well as artists and music industry players. 1.4M€ anchor investment comes from Finnish Industry  Investment Ltd, Ilkka Kivimäki‘s Maki.vc, Superhero Capital, Corporatum and Icebreaker.vc‘s  partner Kristian Pentti. Frontline investors from the music industry include some of Finland’s biggest  stars: JVG‘s record label PME Records, Pyhimys, Teflon Brothers, Mokoma, Stam1na and Pikku G.

More information about Singa’s crowdfunding at Invesdor’s campaign page   https://invest.invesdor.com/en/pitches/1103

On top of the new funding, Singa raised a 3M€ round led by Maki.vc at the end of 2018, making the  total unreleased pre-crowdfunding amount to 4,4M€.

Singa drives change in all corners of the karaoke industry

Karaoke is a hugely popular and extremely fun form of entertainment, but also an untapped $15  billion business opportunity. While other entertainment industries have moved to digital  distribution, karaoke is still stuck in the ’90s, with expensive and bulky equipment, 8-bit graphics,  and dodgy karaoke videos. Singa believes singers, karaoke venues as well as artists and music rights  owners across the world deserve better.

For consumers, the Singa karaoke app gives access to the largest licensed karaoke catalog today, on  any device. You can sing on your own, make it a party with friends, or use our finder feature to spot  the nearest Singa-powered karaoke venue and hit the stage or belt it out in a karaoke room.

On the B2B side of things, Singa helps bars and other nightlife venues grow their revenues with  modern karaoke, background music, and display advertising software. We have a rapidly growing  network of over 800 Singa-powered venues including some of the biggest hospitality companies in  Europe, United States, Canada, and Australia.

Artists, record labels, and music publishers play a central role in making karaoke possible, but until  today, have received very little compensation. Singa fixes the broken model by providing the music  industry with a completely new source of revenue as well as a way for artists to connect with their  fans in new ways.

“I’ve seen Singa relentlessly strive towards a digital and modern karaoke world and their journey has  a lot of similarities to how streaming changed the music market back in the day. PME Records wants  to join Singa’s mission in deepening the connection between karaoke and music industries as well as  provide new ways of fan engagement”, Teemu Laitinen, CEO of PME Records (Home of some of Finland’s biggest acts)

Singa is uniquely positioned to become the biggest brand in a multibillion-dollar global market. And  bring more singing to the world while we’re at it.
