Gramrphone Launches Game Changing TikTok integration

London based live music streaming startup Gramrphone today announced a game-changing integration with TikTok, enabling creators to stream high quality live performances and listening parties straight from their studio to their TikTok followers.

Hot off the heels of recent integrations with Boomplay, Mixcloud and Bandcamp, Gramrphone have targeted the rapidly growing social media platform as the next destination to level-up with high quality live music.

Cofounder Graham Allen thought social media was a natural progression, as the company pivots towards a B2B middleware offering, commenting: “We’re lucky enough to have hyper engaged users around the world, who we can listen to and learn from, and over the last year TikTok repeatedly came up as the platform musicians wanted to stream to.”

The engineering team went into stealth mode over the summer to develop the integration, which is now available for public download. Allen continued: “Our mission with Gramrphone is always to help musicians deliver high quality live music wherever their fans may be, and TikTok is where the next generation of fans are, so it was always going to be a major focus for us.” 

The Gramrphone team are tight lipped on future integration partners but mentioned that Music Streaming and Social Media platforms are always going to be at the top of the list, with one eye on the future of live music consumption via Web 3 and Gaming platforms.

For now though, Gramrphone are concentrating on delivering to TikTok “We’re super excited to get Gramrphone into the hands of musicians on TikTok” Allen concluded, “the talent and creativity on there is insane, and we can’t wait to hear the incredible live music content that’s to come!”

Instagram friends help me out scam to be very careful of.

There is no shortage of scams out there today and each day we see several hit the news, however one I got today was something new to me and very clever almost fell for it until i noticed some things happening in the thread then I rang the person in question and played the scammer along for the ride and things quickly slowed down. Yes I went further than I should have but my Instagram has 2FA but they still tried their hand however Instagram got in there before them which was a good move and good to see.

By the message thread you can see this person thought he had me roped in and was getting inpatient, Instagram has no service allowing your friend to help you out but these clowns thought they did, this was news though earlier this year stating they are testing such a feature buy way of letting you select two friends seen below is a sample of what we are talking about here.

Below is the messages I had got from Facebook Instagram and the conversation I had after I thought something was not quite right here and made that phone call and the user was not aware either until the phone call then their phone started hopping messages.. They begin with stating they have a new phone, click on images to enlarge and have a read.

In turn what will happen here is you will get a message with a link and then you copy and past it back to the person on the Instagram account in their private message and here is where they will try login to your account, but after stringing this lad along today I began to throw up some logic by stating you do not live In Nigeria You do not have network issues and then when asked where do you live is where it all fell apart.

In short this could easily catch people out and perhaps not a good move for Instagram going forward just now anyway but it has been touted as a feature which has not been rolled out to users and a good attempt to try take over your account and you know what comes after that. If you ever receive such a message, it would be better to run the details on a people finder free lookup site to verify the identity of the person before replying anything.

What are Favourites and Following?

Your Instagram feed is a mix of photos and videos from people you follow, suggested posts and more. Over time, we’re going to add more recommendations to your feed based on your interests — Favourites and Following are new ways to catch up on recent posts from the accounts you follow.

Favourites shows you the latest from accounts that you choose, like your best friends and favourite creators. In addition to this view, posts from accounts in Favourites will also show up higher in your home feed.

Following shows you posts from the people you follow. Both Favourites and Following will show you posts in chronological order, so you can quickly catch up on recent posts.

To use Favourites and Following, tap on Instagram in the top left corner of your home page to choose what you see.

How your favourites list works

Use Favourites to see the most recent posts from the accounts you’ve added to your favourites list. You can add up to 50 accounts to your list, and make changes to this list at any time — people are not notified when they are added or removed. Posts from accounts on your favourites list will also show up higher in your home feed, as shown by a star icon.
