Better late than never but they finally arrived and that long naming scheme needs to change Sony… So I have tested these out for some time now and you most likely have seen many reviews but how do they stand almost a year later on with a really hot market out there? Well lets say they are still great, A fantastic pair of headphones if you are willing to part the money due to the cost to performance ratio dropping all the time there is fierce competition out there and some coming in for less still put it up to the established headphone champion. Last year I tested out their WX1000 XM3 earbuds and again they are a great product to have at your disposal and the same can be said for these headphones.
Comfort and fit here is nice I found my cups really soft but these where a review unit and not sure if the cups where softer than they really are on first purchase but overall they where comfy and nice on the ears blocking much of the outside world, the do have a ratchet style arm extension and nice movement on the cups too which all makes for a better more comfortable fit for the user.
The Sony WH-1000XM4
Controls are great and there is no buttons to play with we have got gesture controls which worked really well in my testing and did not note and swipes missed which was surprise and nice to see and perhaps the gesture based controls might be a better way forward for the industry but buttons would of course still appeal to many but having the technology there today shows what can be done if executed right which what Sony has done here. You have a;ll the features you need to keep you from your phone and have just two buttons on the headphones and we go into this in out video review below and we take a look at the app.
When it comes to the most important part which is how they sound they do deliver, they are loud the ANC is great and ideal for watching movies and more in my usual testing with such and You Tube and Netflix I was extremely happy with how they performed and having the app behind you allows you to enhance your experience for the better..
Overall these are a great pair of headphones and easy to recommend if you want to shed out a bit extra today as the competition has got so good the feature set here can be found on other headphones but the ANC factor here is one hard to contend with.
Aukey is brand that delivers nice technology at an affordable price and we have been using their products for some time here on techbuzz we also have more in for review but today we are looking at the LS02 smartwatch/fitness tracker. With an abundance of choice on the market today there is no shortage to pick from no matter how much you have to spend. Fitbit and other brands such as Xiaomi have a good grip on the market today however this one gives them a run for their money and having test this for nearly a month it offers a bit more for your money coming in at around 38 euro, yes that is right…
It is not a slim skimpy band but it looks like a typical smartwatch albeit clean it it made out of polycarbonate looks nice and fits really well with a decent size screen and offering a decent 1.4 inch 320 x 320 screen with IP68 waterproofing. there is 12 fitness modes and an accompanying app that is really easy to use and sports up to 20 days battery life, this however depends on what information you have tied into the app I have found with all my apps running you get 10 days but if you just require the bare minimum you will get the 20 days.
For me I tried the full app list on my device and it is great for notifications they are a basic text on the device and you cant take calls as there is no speaker but for the price you cant really give out about that, you can also control your music on the watch too which is handy and you can get all your social media notifications on the device too and all of this keeps you away from your phone to an extent, For the fitness folks there is plenty here to keep them happy as you can see down below with all these workouts and it also includes your heart rate.
There is also a find my phone option on the watch too which is handy, What makes this watch different it it does not have an app store nor can you add faces to it, it does come with some settings on the device which is plenty to get you going if you are new to such which many seem to be taking up now with the pandemic and this shows you can pick up a decent wearable for a fraction of the cost of what is out there today on the market. Check out the video below for more as we look into to what is on this watch and the app.
I have been testing PaMu products some time now and it is fair to say they offer a great product for a good price in a now very competitive market when it comes to true wireless earbuds, the cost to performance ratio has got better which is a win for the consumer and gives people a choice and of course more value for their money these days, the PaMu Nano are one of their latest models now on offer and they are certainly one to consider with a unique design too and not one i have seen before and have a really nice secure fit to boot. small as they are they pack a punch with sound and features but they do not have access to the app yet at the time of doing my review.
PaMu Nano is the smallest earphone of all the PaMu products, which makes it light and stable in ears. And meanwhile, the sound quality of PaMu Nano doesn’t go down with its size, it maintains high resolution and steps into a new level.
Features include
Ergonomic design, comfortable to wear
Features Bluetooth Chip QCC3020
Smaller Charging Case, easy to carry
Water Resistance: IPX6
Compatible with Qi-wireless charging & Type-C fast charging
These may be small as said but they offer all the features required and give a great listening experince for the user when it comes to music films and much more, controls are easy to use considered their size even for my big fingers and that was a surprise volume is loud highs lows and mids are fine and so is direction calls also clear and in short a really nice experience and well worth their money and they look really cool too. Check out the video below for more and let us know if you have checked these out.. Also check out both being unboxed HERE
Every vehicle should have a dashcam I keep saying it with every review but many just ignore the fact it could save you some day and help clamp down on fraudulent claims which is still a problem and not only this it will help drive your premium down, given our insurance industry is seen as a cartel there is signs things will change in the summer this year and having a dashcam can and will help int he long run.
This dashcam offers more than the typical one we mostly but as it has three cameras so this means you have eyes everywhere in your vehicle and you can have two of them facing inwards or outwards which is an added bonus and for my testing I had two facing outside and one inside as my car is in for service during m test period I decided to see how well it would work on one of my vans and this will protect you not only from the front and in the cab but also from the rear end so all angles are covered. the app that comes with the unit is also great and easy to use and is most welcome. One thing I do miss is an internal screen on the unit but you have a LIVE VIEW option which cover this in the app which is great as it allows you to see either one camera or all three on your smartphone and works really well and is crystal clear too and overall the app is simple to use which makes life easy for the user, we go through this in our full video review below and how to operate the whole system. There is some buttons on the unit inside which allows you quick access to functions too.
This dashcam also protects your vehicle when you are not inside it and has parking mode again here you can set the sensitivity level to stop false negatives.

Set up is simple enough it does not need to be hardwired but you can buy the cable for it if you like and you channel the wires around your roof lining with the tools provided it took me around 10 minutes to set this up fully which was great and nothing to difficult about it, once installed you adjust accordingly via the app for the view you need and you are good to go, the files auto store and you can check out all the settings on offer and tailor to your needs. Again all shown in the video below. Overall this is a super effective 3 camera system and a must have for any driver and a worthy investment.
The smartphone market is saturated to say the least but there is much to consider here when it comes to buying a smartphone these days and people are now more tech savvy too and will not be fooled by great marketing and tend to look at real life usage reviews of smartphones over clever advertising and Oppo is one brand that can deliver with both after using some of their smartphones over the last year and these devices offer good value for money even at the lower end and mid tier section.
Testament to that is now how Oppo is placed in the market being 4th in the world as a smartphone vendor and this is something to write home about considering the market out there today and their phones do stand out and grab your attention even to walk by a shop or see it on a display in the shop window and they coalesce well. From their design and looks they do move away from the current trend of gigantic camera humps with more slender looking ones and not in your face I find them much more elegant looking devices and in comparison to some recently launched devices the humps on the rear have become too much and in your face making a statement Oppo does this more elegant and can still make a statement.
I have gone through pretty much all the features in the first look experience below so you can have a look here and see what you can expect when you hand over your money for this phone and yes for those who want to know how good the camera is it is excellent and there is more samples further down here to look at.
On the looks department the phone looks really nice and in fact it is one of those devices you would rather carry with no case on board due to its sleek finish and soft corners, the design of this device is simple great but I think the more expensive option the pro version might just beat it.
The display is one to behold though with a 6.55-inch FHD+ (1440 x 1080 resolution) AMOLED making content rich on a bigger canvas with really great speakers too that are loud, in fact I have had people tell me to turn them down in some cases even showing them the content on the device, like for me it is if i have a great display why not enhance that with the sound and that you can do here with this device capping out at 1100 nits with two refresh rates on offer being 90Hz refresh rate and a 120Hz touch sampling rate..

You can customise this device to your liking with many features on offer here giving you more control over your device unlike my iPhone 12 which is being heading toward my storage box more and more of late and along with ColorOS 11 which keeps improving over time you will be pleased at what can be done here especially the cool lighting effects on the sides of the device for notifications, this is similar to that on the TCL 10 pro which is really nice and should be on all phones. The home screen is also another area with an always on display that can highlight your needs too and the options to customise and control how this works it cuts down alot if you have a busy phone like I would. Themes and wallpaers too are nice, the animations on offer for fingerprint and charging and not forgetting again the edge lighting.
Multitasking on this phone for me has been one of the best so far this year, again I am considered a poweruser and a phone that can multitask fast is what I need and this is simply great, from the moment i pick it up the speed of the bio metrics have the device ready to go before I get ready to make some moves and get work done quickly and promptly with no interruption or lag anywhere and for me this makes it great for a workload on mobile.
The Camera department here is good overall with many options to play with, it does not have the microscopic lens which I will try out on the pro and looks really cool the macro does a good job, again a more elegant hump on the rear with Quad rear cameras with a 50-megapixel, f/1.8 aperture, optical image stabilisation (OIS) 2x optical zoom: 13MP, f/2.4 Wide-angle: 16MP, f/2.2 Macro: 2MP32MP front-facing selfie camera and Video: 4K up to 60fps which is really impressive stuff for those who are into vlogs etc. Check the samples below for more and decide for yourself. I am not a photography specialist never claimed to be one but for me it delivers.
The Find X3 Neo also features 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 – one of the fastest charging technologies commercially available on the market. This means it can charge up to 100% in as little as 35 minutes. This is game changing for those with battery anxiety or those who forgot to charge their device overnight and you can simply pop it on charge whilst you get ready for work and so on. One annoying thing for me though is there is NO wireless charging but with the above you can forgive it I am one of those who has adopted wireless charging with wireless charging docks around the house and at this price you would expect this included but hey its fine look at the speed you can charge your device up to 100% at.
Can I recommend this phone ? Well certainly yes I can it might be a hard sell though depending what you want in a phone but with the overall package here and how it is executed I would lean more so to this phone than other offerings particularity ones available outside Ireland that some folk sing and dance about but lets see what happens those when you run into problems and getting those addressed.
The Pamu Quite mini come off the back of the previous model the Pamu Quite which we reviewed last year and once again they deliver on value for money and give Huawei and their much lauded freebuds and others a real run for their money. Coming with wireless charging Bluetooth 5.2 and IPX4 rating, gaming mode, up to 40db of noise reduction and a really great app you simply cant go wrong here for the price and they are also plenty aloud.
The design is familiar with a really comfortable fit and this time the case is smaller than the previous case which had a circular finish with a really cool LED ring around the top illuminating when charging, this time you get a really cool LED on the front that looks like the infamous LED light on kitt and then turns blue when fully charged. You also get type C USB charging here which is most welcome too.
Another point to note is that these can be used on their own too which is something you do not see to often with even more expensive earbuds on the market today and this is a plus for many people and with the app you can customise each side so if you have both in you can set them up the best way that suits you and if using on their own again you can set up to your needs which is excellent.
When it comes to sound these really give a great punch with a decent volume level nice bass and punchy with highs lows and mids and for watching films and Netflix etc you will not be disappointed as I found during my usual test cycle and I was left impressed yet again by these earbuds. The better build quality here also makes these a more robust pair of earbuds than others at this price point.
Over all for the money the cost to performance ratio has gotten so good it makes you wonder how some companies can charge so much for their earbuds when a pair like this has just about it all for less than half the price. Check out the video below for more and stay tuned for our PaMu NANO review soon.
The Skullcandy Indy ANC are the latest true wireless on offer and in fact is one of their best selling line and the new Indy should with ease continue to keep the trend, the new earbuds are similar to their previous model but much more enhanced and pack all the features you come to expect from the brand and not only this the sound quality is excellent and for the money you will find it hard to get the same level of value here with all the features given.
Recently reviewed here the all new Skullcandy Hesh ANC the brand has boosted their range with great quality and sound and the earbuds are no different , it is hard to pull off great ANC on earbuds but they have done so here and due to their enhanced fit you will feel all the benefits.
They do at first feel a bit large but once fitted with the right tip you are good to go and you will notice the external sound vanish more or less, next up then is to tune them up with the Skullcandy App and you are good to go and also lets not forget TILE here too.
There controls are easy to use here and there is several modes and the MOVIE mode is fantastic if you watch movies or Netflix and is my chosen mode for all use it is just great and suits me. When it comes to your listening experience all round it is a win, nice and loud highs, lows and mids are great, sound, direction and they almost do a great job as their headphones and that is saying something. Also not forgetting the modes you can switch between and like I said try the movie mode and of course ambient mode is present here too.
You can expect around 15 hours on a full charge with ANC ON and high volume and for a standard use you can get up to 19 hours so the battery endurance is just below par here but you can forgive that with their feature set, you can also you these individually which is important for many people today and it works well and also to note this works fine with calls and they sound fine with calls being clear both ends. Last thing to mention is wireless charging which I have adopted big time with earbuds and this is present, see the video for more below..
After testing out the EVO last year I would find it hard for them to beat but they do not do that overall however come really close to it and for the price you will pay these are certainly worth buying if you are in the market for a new pair of headphones. First off the overall audio experience is great with nice bass and loud volume and then comfortable.
They have a similar design language to the EVO which are still one of favourite headphones today and of course more expensive and worth every cent and these come in much cheaper and to take into account what you spend on the all new HESH they are a steal for the money if you are on a budget,,
Controls are nicely placed on one side and easy to command and you will have no issues controlling these in no time at all and almost everything is at your fingertip minus one or two features which are no huge deal, you of course have TILE built in here too which is great for those who misplace things or just loose them.
Comfort is quite nice even for long term use and in my case having worn them for several hours on the go they did not bother me at all, no sweat and no head pinching and this is an important factor to note for those who wear headphones for several hours. Speaking of hours you can get 3 hours of charging in just ten minutes and a full charge will give you 36 hours of course that is impeded if you use ANC dropping it down to around 32 but overall a great battery life.
Overall these are a bargain for the money when it comes to sound which is what most people are after and easy recommendation from me if you are on a budget and want a pair of excellent pair of headphones not falling far from their top of the line crusher EVO. Check the video below for more on the HESH ANC as we take a look at the features and how to operate.
