Fujifilm Europe has today announced the launch of its FUJIFILM INSTAX SQUARE Link Smartphone printer (SQUARE Link). Available from 16 November 2022, the latest addition to the popular series of Link Smartphone printers, SQUARE Link creates INSTAX SQUARE format instant prints at 1.5 times the size of its INSTAX mini counterparts.
SQUARE Link features a variety of new, unique features designed to encourage creativity, including AR (Augmented Reality) Print and INSTAX Connect™, both of which allow instant photography and smartphone printing fans to individualize and share their images in brand new ways. Like all products in the INSTAX Link Smartphone printer lineup, SQUARE Link includes a variety of frame templates, digital stickers, and print mode options that allow the image maker to boost creativity with the free, downloadable app.

AR (Augmented Reality) Print:
SQUARE Link offers the ability to add Augmented Reality features to images, including special effects, text, images, background colours, doodles, and animations. A QR code printed on the photo unlocks the augmented reality content that users can then view on and around their print by simply scanning the code with their Smartphone to see the effects in action.
INSTAX Connect:
Using the SQUARE Link App, the INSTAX Connect feature allows users to share INSTAX images digitally by selecting a smartphone image, adding text content and/or effects, and sending it to any connected device (i.e. smartphone, tablet, etc.). Users can add text to their images and get text responses sent back directly on the image. Recipients who are also SQUARE Link users can even print a copy of the image with or without the text included.
Ability to customize your INSTAX prints with Image Modes, Design Frames, and Stickers
Like all products in the INSTAX Link Smartphone printer line-up, SQUARE Link includes a variety of frame templates, digital stickers, and print mode options that allow the image maker to creatively enhance the image. Users can choose between two print mode options – INSTAX-Rich Mode for deep, enhanced colours and INSTAX-Natural Mode for a more classic look. Smartphone images can also be enhanced with artistic filters or by adjusting brightness, contrast, and saturation of the image. Users of SQUARE Link also can combine up to nine pictures into a single INSTAX print collage via the collage feature of the App.
Lightweight Portability and Speed
Compact, lightweight, and finished with astriped texture, SQUARE Link transfers an image from the user’s smartphone and commences printing in about 12 seconds, supports continuous printing, and is capable of printing about 100 INSTAX prints per charge seamlessly via Bluetooth.
SQUARE Link will be available in Ash White and Midnight Green and is expected to be available for purchase at Fujifilm stockists nationwide on 16 November 2022 at a manufacturer’s SRP of EUR 150.00.

INSTAX mini 11 PASTEL GREEN – Available now
At the same time as the launch of the new SQUARE Link, Fujifilm Europe is also launching the new INSTAX mini 11 in a new Pastel Green colourway. An enticing addition to the INSTAX line-up, the new INSTAX mini 11 Pastel Green is the sweetest of colours – designed with the latest fashion trends in-mind.
Like the rest of the INSTAX mini 11 family, this new colourway also features the “Automatic Exposure” function, in which the camera automatically senses the level of ambient light when the shutter button is pressed, and optimizes the shutter speed and flash output according to the condition. It allows users to take photos optimally exposed to the main subject and the background in a variety of situations including a bright sunny day outdoors and a dark indoor condition at a restaurant or a party venue, producing high-quality instant photo prints on the spot.
Another INSTAX mini 11 feature that makes taking instax photos easier than ever before is the Selfie Mode, which is ideal for selfies and close-ups. The Selfie Mode can be activated by simply pulling out the front end edge of the lens after powering the camera on. INSTAX mini 11 pastel green is available now at a manufacturer’s SRP of EUR 90.00.
Instax is a popular brand when it comes to their retro cameras and are popular with family and friends here when they come to visit not only that they have got good views on our site and Youtube channel over the years too and it is fair to say they are a bit more than a niche product and garner much attention.
The product will look familiar however from before and has two new visible features which is a button up top and LED light on the side, the front is as before with the logo in center that can change colours and you can also set the tone here. The build quality is the same and it is a robust kit with a textured finish which will not slip out of your hand if you happen to have a few on your night out and so on, I did drop mine here at home on a tile floor with no beers on board and it still works fine so I can stand testament to the build quality and that is a good thing, it did not spring open and components jump all around the place like some tech can and has done.
We have pretty much the same as before here and the new instaxAiR which allows users to add graphics to their prints, via the free downloadable instax mini Link App 1, including bubbles, petals, neon, spray paint, or a glitter look by simply holding the instax mini Link 2, pressing the feature button on top, whilst aiming the side LED to start drawing in the air. What is drawn in the air will then appear on the print preview in-app and once the user is happy with the look, the graphics will appear on the print itself. Users of the instaxAiR feature can even record a video of the drawing and share the moment as a printable QR code that appears on the print. The QR code can be scanned to view the video, download it, or share it on social media. Not something for me but it will be for others being honest I am just the kind that will take photos, edit if required and print them as is but there is plenty of editing options asides this within the app that allows you get creative.
Perhaps me and my age might be a factor here in trying to enhance the natural effects I have always been one to moot airbrushed photos and so on and say to people just be yourself and with how things are today with filters AI and beauty. So beside this and what is available in the app there is plenty to toy around with and get a more personalised finished product as we will see in the video review below where we look at all the options at hand, including the app and more.
Overall this is a neat gadget and given it may not be for the masses it is something you should try anyway and have it there to print photos there and then even at home or at a party or family occasion, who these days actually remembers photos or would rather plaster their lives on social media then complain about data and ads.,. I know what I prefer and that is having photos in the hand in my house and be able to share them via this nifty little smartphone printer.

The Instax Evo mini camera is the latest camera on offer which is a cool gadget to have at your disposal, most of us today use our smartphones to take images and in most cases they go no further than your phone or else stored on your pc or a drive but with this camera you can print out the moments captured on your phone and indeed with the camera itself which allows for plenty of creativity before you even take the picture and then more after.

There is lots of filters and other options to toy around with here to on the Instax Mini Evo and I have been carrying about with me over the last few days and found it a joy to use and it has a simple UI to work through too and of course their app which we go through in detail in the video review below.. For me over the years I use my smartphone to take images but rarely a camera unless I use one from Instax which I have been over the last few years I find it nice that I can print an image there and then and not only that but share with others should they want a copy of the image, the only caveat here with such cameras is the cost of prints but I find these cameras would be more useful in treasured moments or ones created so buying packets of film every week would not really be the case.

What makes this camera fun is the options available for the user with the filters and more unlike other cameras you have a screen to use and options built in here to which allows you get the full feature set available and not just a limited standard list of settings, The build quality of the camera is robust and I like the overall design, more compact than other models it is more portable and I really the the silver buttons and controls which gives the unit a nice two tone effect and looks more on the premium side.

There is also a option to mount the camera on a tripod which some will find a real treat, this can be used for timed photos or group photos etc with the remote option on the app and more, Overall the image quality is decent but not to the full value your phone or the camera itself might take but this is not what the intent of the camera is, the camera is easy to use given all the options on it and ideal for those who like photography in general and even novices and overall if you just want to snap a photo and print this is what you need.
