Samsung have today announced a keyboard attachment which is reminiscent of BlackBerry and Nokia E-Series,why for such a big phone sporting a huge screen with a more than capable keyboard is anyone’s guess but some seem to think its for those who miss Blackberry and trying to get some of the Blackberry pie… Will many people buy the keyboard, I dont think so to be honest but nonetheless is an option for buyers that prefer that physical touch… Perhaps it is better than it looks..Many people today still do miss the physical keyboard or either hate it so its a good move I guess from Samsung covering all angles especially current BlackBerry users ..

No price has been quoted for this piece of hardware,its expected to go on sale same time as the Note 5 hits stores.. The keyboard just snaps onto the Note 5 so its a simple process to connect both together..

Samsung have announced more members of the Galaxy Edge and Note range which are the S6 Edge Plus and the Note 5 its not long since the S6 and Edge have been on sale and a new Edge model so soon ?? On the other hand the Note Series is out quite a while and the last entry was the Note 4 last year which is still a popular device,however sale of the 6 and 6 edge have been poor due to the price structure and Samsung have recently cut the prices here to try attract more sales,will it work ?? Perhaps so, time will tell at the next financial announcement…Prices for the duo for the US have been announced and again they are high (We are talking around €800)but lets see what happens when they arrive on our shores,given that they are nice devices so lets take a look……. Dropbox has added support for USB key authentication. This new feature can be used as part of a two-step verification – Users will be able to insert their USB key after typing their password instead of entering digits..Dropbox users will probably welcome this move which is a good idea.
Security keys are an easy way to use two-step verification when signing in to dropbox.com. After typing in your password, just insert your key into a USB port when you’re prompted, instead of typing in a six-digit code. And unlike two-step with a phone, you’ll never have to worry about your battery going dead when you use a security key.
How do I use it?
You’ll need a security key that follows an open standard called “FIDO Universal 2nd Factor (U2F)” from the FIDO Alliance. This U2F key can then be set up with your Dropbox account and any other U2F-enabled services, such as Google.
Once you have a key, go to the Security tab in your Dropbox account settings and click Add next toSecurity keys. Currently, U2F is only supported for dropbox.com using the Chrome web browser. Signing in from a device or platform U2F isn’t supported, or don’t have your key on hand? Lets have a look at what the retail package gives us and a tour around the device itself.
The initial presentation is nice ie the box itself and there is not much more inside apart from the Device itself,some booklets that most people never read and a USB cable.There is NO plug folks but surely you have some lying around.
Around the device we have the usual suspects with the micro USB port on the bottom,Volume toggle on the right hand side and power key ,the left hand side is totally bare so nothing to see here and up top we have the headphone socket and mic. On the bottom left there is a little notch to remove the back cover for access to the sim card and micro sd areas,the battery is non removable.
Which leaves us with just the back and front of the device,on the front we have ONE speaker,it looks like two this is a trick we see many manufacturers pull to leave people thinking its dual speakers,the bottom grille is where the sound comes from the other is just a design feature,also we have our usual sensors and front facing camera,on the rear of the device is our camera and flash area centred in the middle which is a preferred option for most rather than the camera stuck in one of the corners..The back though has a nice ribbed feel to it giving you better grip so less chance of a drop here…
Snapchat has added a new feature which conserves data which is a welcome move,this effectively stops auto loading content which burns up data,this will be great especially when roaming on data,also a new feature in the update brings more emoji support ,The new feature called Sticker Picker, you can add emojis all over your snaps..
