#iDMobile is official – KillBiller tells us what we can save. #Ireland #Mobile..#IWANTiD

Its a big day for iDMobile in Ireland today as the new MVNO from Carphone Warehouse is set to shake up the mobile industry and with plans that will be hard to beat, with this the consumer can decide rather than be given set plans which are on offer, one big thing is goodbye to the 2 year contracts too which will be most welcome.

Shane Lynn explains..

  • iD mobile launches today Thursday the 20th of August and set to deliver some welcome competition in the mobile industry
  • KillBiller, Ireland’s independent mobile plan recommender app, have reviewed their pricing structure and found that iD will significantly undercut many of their competitors
  • The flexibility of iD’s pricing is at odds with many other Irish operators who lock consumers into 2-year contracts.
  • Based on our analysis, the packages that will suit a large number of people will be 3GB data, 250 minutes, and 100 texts – matching the usage profile of smartphone users at the moment. This will come in at a cost of €18.50 per month.
  • All iD plans are available in the KillBiller application
  • KillBiller is the perfect tool for people who want to work out what package is best for them, and all pricing and switching details are now available.

Impact of iD on competitiveness in the Irish mobile market

KillBiller analysed a database of over 15,000 Irish mobile users and over 350 plans as part of a comprehensive report. The report looks at the impact of iD, as Ireland’s newest mobile operator, on the Irish mobile market.

  • iD will be the most competitive 4G operator for over 75% of Irish customers.
  • Its closest competitor in the 4G space will be Three, who will have the cheapest 4G plan for 14.3% of users.
  • When you consider both 3G and 4G, iD will be the best value for just under one in three Irish smartphone users (31.5%).
  • Tesco Mobile is the cheapest overall for four in ten users (42.4%), however, it should be noted that none of the Tesco Mobile plans include 4G data.
  • Vodafone is the most expensive operator on 3G and 4G; it is only best value for 1.8% of users.
  • iD will have 125 possible plan combinations. This means a lot of choice for consumers, but may lead to confusion in selecting the right plan.
  • iD report that users can change their allocations during a contract. This is welcome for consumers as many contracts are fixed for periods of 18 or 24 months.
  • There is no 4G price premium on iD plans
  • Prepay and Billpay plans are the same price and handsets are priced separately.
  • The average SIM-only plan on iD will cost customers just €20.81 per month, this is €166* per annum less than the average billpay cost per user across the Irish market.

*Based on ComReg Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) and assuming all users in the KillBiller dataset are billpay customers. ARPU is the average monthly revenue per user as defined by the ComReg.

Yeeply,experts in mobile app development. #Yeeply #StartUp #Apps #Mobile #Web #Gaming

Yeeply is a marketplace, tech-based, which connects app developers with companies that have a mobile need. They are experts in mobile development (apps, games, web apps, etc.), app and mobile design a app marketing.

Ana Mocholí explains more about the company.

The idea was born in 2012, but was in September 2013 when the start-up was created. And in 2014 we had our first project..

What is Yeeply?

It is a platform that attracts developers from around the world to create mobile applications, but also draws in companies that require an app for their specific business. The Yeeply website allows developers and customers seeking the creation of an app to register. Above all it´s a very useful tool for SME´s to outsource their app development needs at low costs. On the website, customers are able to go through a whole range of developers to publish a project. The customer is able to detail in full the features of the application. Then developers share a proposal of the work, renegotiating the price, answering specific questions about the project and the development of the application. Ultimately the customer chooses the developer that best suits their requirements for the design of their app. Unique in their Specialty Yeeply is unique in the fact that it has a vast networking expertise in developing countries, and has become a benchmark in nearly twenty countries, especially in Spain and Spanish speaking countries such as Mexico or Argentina. But also in other parts of the world like India, Italy and USA. Thus Yeeply was born… Both founders of the company met at college.

Although in September 2012 they decided to take a different path in their professional field. They decided to take charge of their own destiny and start this innovative project. As they themselves indicate, in Spain there is a lot of skilled labor for the development of applications but few career opportunities. This discovery led them to found the Yeeply platform that meets these market needs. Also many companies, be it small or medium, often lack altogether a development team, or they are not at the required standard to create an app for them. One way to solve this increasingly important issue in today’s technological world, where smart phones and tablets have taken over; is to outsource.

KillBiller talks about iDMobile. A price war in the works ?? #Irish #Mobile #Plans

With iDMobile launching very soon, KillBiller will be the only place that people can find out how much iD mobile plans will cost them – we’re the only ones with tariffs! says Bart Lehane

New mobile operator to spark price war, says mobile plan recommendation service KillBiller

-The New report by KillBiller, the Irish mobile plan recommendation service, says new mobile operator iD will deliver significant savings to Irish mobile users

– iD is set to be the most competitive 4G network on launch, being the cheapest operator for over 75% of 4G customers

– iD plans available in the KillBiller application from today (17th August)

The introduction of a new mobile operator will significantly shake up the Irish mobile market, says a new report by KillBiller, the Irish mobile phone plan recommendation service.

KillBiller analysed a database of over 15,000 Irish mobile users and over 350 plans as part of this comprehensive report, including plans seen exclusively by KillBiller in advance of the launch of iD. The report looks at the impact of iD, as Ireland’s newest mobile operator, on the Irish mobile market.

The KillBiller report reveals that iD will have most impact on the 4G network. It will be the best value 4G mobile operator at launch, with over three in four Irish smartphone users (76.2%) finding the best priced 4G plan with iD.

Its closest competitor in the 4G space will be Three, who will have the cheapest 4G plan for 14.3% of users.

When you consider both 3G and 4G, iD will be the best value for just under one in three Irish smartphone users (31.5%).

Tesco Mobile is the cheapest overall for four in ten users (42.4%), however, it should be noted that none of the Tesco Mobile plans include 4G data.

Vodafone is the most expensive operator on 3G and 4G; it is only best value for 1.8% of users.

Its findings reveal that the average SIM-only plan on iD will cost customers just €20.18 per month, this is €166[1] per annum less than the average billpay cost per user across the Irish market.

Commenting on the report, Bart Lehane said: “iD’s introduction is going to significantly add to the amount of competition in the market, which is good news for consumers. We know that there is a lot of wastage in the Irish mobile market. Based on our findings, iD will deliver plans that will result in genuine savings for the consumer. While consumers can expect iD to be strongest in the 4G space, overall, it will have the best value plan for one in three people on both 3G and 4G.”

Bart Lehane also predicts a reaction from other operators: “The entry of a new operator will always be watched closely by its competitors. Given how competitive iD is set to be at launch, we can expect to see the other operators react with offers and updated propositions. With increased competition in the market, we would advise consumers to shop around to find the best value plan that best suits their usage requirements. The KillBiller app will perform an phone audit for you and recommend the cheapest plan based on your actual call/SMS/data usage, meaning it is the most accurate way to select a mobile phone plan.”

KillBiller’s report into the impact of iD on the Irish mobile market analysed the phone usage data of over 15,000 Irish mobile phone users. Over 7.9 billion cost calculations were made as part of the report, with 350 plans – both prepay and billpay – analysed.
