Next-gen Hybrid ANC 

Next-gen hybrid active noise cancelling (ANC) sounds cool, but what is it? Mobi’s new version of hybrid ANC is like standard hybrid ANC but with an extra microphone. This allows the ANC program to detect movement and distance with much more precision than before (think of it like having two eyes instead of one). 

But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s brush up on hybrid ANC tech. Here’s a quick recap. 

Hybrid ANC uses one feedforward mic on the exterior of the earbud and one feedback mic on the interior to cancel more noise than just one mic could do. The exterior mic captures sounds from your environment, and the interior mic listens to what you hear from the speakers to correct the sound neutralisation or cancel additional noise. 

Mobi’s hybrid ANC has an extra feedforward mic, so it can better detect and cancel a broader range of noises from your environment. This is how Mobi is able to offer full-frequency ANC—from high pitches like conversations and car breaks to low ones like motors and fans. 

The AI-assisted feedback mic listens to your music with you, further correcting the ANC until all you hear is your music. The AI is so precise that it can even cancel the noises made by the earbuds when they shift in your ears.

Mobi’s 30 dB of ANC power is much stronger than competitors’. Apple’s AirPods Pro only have 20 dB ANC, or 50% less. 



The Power of AI

We already spoke a bit about Mobi’s AI and how it assists the hybrid ANC. But, it has another ANC mode all its own. 

Mobi’s AI Transparency Mode is an ANC feature you can turn on and off when you need it. It selectively filters sounds from your environment through the ANC barrier to keep you aware when you need to be.

Mobi’s AI recognizes 6000+ different ambient sounds, and with Transparency Mode active, it will pass certain sounds through the speakers to your ears. These sounds include sirens, alarms, digital assistance like Alexa and voices speaking to you.  This will keep you safer when you’re on the go, especially if you listen to music while you cycle or run. It’s also helpful for commuters on foot. 

Another perk is that you won’t have to turn off your music or take out your earbuds to have a conversation. Mobi’s AI will detect the voice speaking to you and pass it through the earbuds’ speakers. When it does this, the volume of your music will lower automatically.



Bigger Speakers for Better Sound

The easiest way to find out if your headphones have high-quality audio is to check the driver size. Bigger drivers almost always mean better sound. That’s because larger speakers reverberate more air molecules to produce bigger, body-hugging audio.

This is an important distinguishing factor in true wireless earbuds because the speakers inside them are tiny. Most earbuds contain speakers between 4-8 mm in diameter. 

Mobi’s are 12 mm. These oversized drivers make the earbuds look a bit bulkier. But the improvement in sound quality is well worth it. These giant drivers make Mobi sound like over-ear headphones. They have that surround-sound-esque quality that you only get from nice studio headphones.

Tech Review – SuperEQ S1 Hybrid ANC Bluetooth Headphones. #Tech #Headphones

Headphones are getting cheaper these days and you are getting better value for your money too and I have noticed this over the last few months and the same applies to TWS earbuds, we have a huge range covered on site and these days there is value to be found rather than shelling out on overpriced products that simply are not worth it, even the budget section has got so good you will not be looking far for a pair of cheap headphones with ANC on board either.

Super EQ is a brand that belongs to One Odio which we review recently and the same logic applies here when it comes to cost to performance ratio at the affordable end. Again I find myself getting real value for money and decent sound to go with it, mainly a plastic but robust build here these are very comfortable and stand out and can be worn for long periods of time with no sweaty earcups which often can happen, there is decent bass and overall a great listening experience as tested like all my headphones with my test loop the delivered on Netflix You Tube and music with good balance and direction with clear definition on instruments and so on, also not too shabby on calls either and overall for the money you cant complain and it gives the consumer a better choice and not having to shell out for APPLE products that cost too much and is hard on parents with demanding teenagers, there is no need I have said it for a while now no matter what the reviews might claim by the same journalists’ all the time you can see a pattern here, OK Apple do make great products but they just cost too much and can be seen as a status symbol, Yes I am looking at their new headphones.

ANC works well and so does ambient mode so for those who like to wear out will be fine and be alert at the same time. You will get around 45 hours of playback with ANC on and 39/40 with BT off and these are fine for long time wearing ,controls are easy to navigate and work well each time and for an overall listening experience you cant go wrong for the price…

Tech Review – Kimafun Wireless Microphone KM-G102-3 #Kimafun #Tech

The Kimafun Wireless Microphone as stated on the box is a Wireless Microphone with a Lapel Clip Mic Voice Amplifier Mini Mic. This can be used for presenting lectures or meetings or use the  Headset Microphone for more active movement in e.g. an exercise class. The technology  used is  2.4G wireless transmission technology, given a 50-meter wireless connection ( albeit only practical of this range  in an area of no barrier between the transmitter and receiver.)

 Setup and use.

The Transmitter and receiver require to be charged initially with the supplied cables, Micro USB dual-head charging cable, charging both simultaneously. Once charged subject to the range used a fully charged battery power can work for approx. 6-8 hours of use.  The Transmitter and receiver are pre-pared and do not require any pairing, (as would be expected from Bluetooth technology) The Receiver is plugged into the power amplifier with the transmitter plugged into either type of microphone. There is no requirement for a technical nature to set up the equipment. Connecting to a smartphone using the y connector would require a little easy reading or to a Laptop.  The microphone is suitable for smartphones, laptops, desktops, PC,  or speakers.  Note when connecting to e.g., a speaker there is a requirement to have a minimum of 15w Power on the device to amply the sound as the microphone will only transmit the sound and not boost it.  If you use a  connection to an android phone you will have to check the setting on the recording app and change this to record from an external mic rather than the android internal mic.

 2.4G wireless transmission technology,

This frequency is known, as used in the typical home router, cordless phone, Bluetooth earpiece, baby monitor, etc. this allows for a stable, secure 50 Meter range wireless connection (if tested with no obstacles in between the transmitter or receiver) This has the advantage over the Bluetooth range and transmits clear sound, with no interference/echo.

Overall,

Setup is easy but there is the possibility to lose many of the accessories as the kit does not come with a carrier bag to protect the device. The audio quality is good where used e.g., Phone/camera voice recording, live broadcasting on Podcast, Skype/teams calling, Teaching, Audio/Video Recording on YouTube, professional audio devices. conference, speech, etc. The advantage of this gives excellent range, up to 50 M.  secure stable wireless connection. The material quality felt strong and sturdy and have no hesitation in recommending this for use as good quality sound at a reasonable price.

JAM audio are a well known audio brand who have a vast range of audio products at affordable prices such as earphones and true wireless earbuds you can see a range of them on site by searching. This time around though they have introduced some bookshelf speakers to their portfolio and a welcome product too.

These are well built and look great with a matt finish and deliver a good punch too especially with the bass end of things so bass fans will certainly want to check these out, these will fit in anywhere in the home or you can place them beside your TV or indeed on a bookshelf once it has the height free, I don’t sport books of any sort so my set up will be different and have them placed either side of my TV and they blend in quite nice with their simple clean design.

This is a neat little gadget for you car and offers several solutions in on with this model in particular, We have seen several options of bluetooth transmitters available in the past that I have typically used and now they have advanced some more due to technology.

This is a simple plug and play solution to get calls, music and audio onto your current vehicles set up not only that it charges your phone too and also offer a USB port to plug in music from a flash drive etc and keeping you hands free too. To set up you simply tune into a free station on your current radio and connect via bluetooth via your smartphone and away you go it is that easy.

Using the device itself also offers all the functions you need with a twisty wheel up top that can control music and calls and works really well overall it is a simple to use product that makes like so much easier in the vehicle, it was a good test sample in my case as I have a brand new vehicle and cant connect my devices to it via bluetooth and awaiting a software update by the manufacturer which is unreal in this day and age and people cant here me but I can hear them but with this unit it all works fine, I tested this with an iPhone 12 and Google Pixel 5 and worked flawlessly on both phones and that includes my music too and calls are great. Tech Review – The Wintory Air 1 Wireless Earbuds. #TWS #Tech #Wintory

The Wintory AIR 1 TWS are a clean pair of true wireless earbuds that come in a really nice aluminium case and at this price point you do not see that very often yet you would be familiar with the typical plastic charge case, this is cold to the touch yet to note does not heat up on charging which is a point made by the company. The earbuds are plastic but do follow on with the case theme and look really well and it is a nice colour option rather than the traditional black on offer.

The case will easily fit in your pocket too and is has some LED lights up front for charge and connectivity status. These a IPX5 rated and look more expensive than they are with a good fit although I would not suggest using in the gym or jogging but there is extra tips there to get the right fit, they do offer a good seal overall.

The controls are easy to use and you have clicky button each side rather than touch which lets you know you have made a command there is no voice assistant here yet all other controls are at hand for music and calls. When it comes to music these performed well and better than anticipated and nice and loud with a nice level of bass thrown in for good measure too and overall really good audio to be had here especially for the price, instrumentals are clear and so is voice and good direction and all genres etc where fine from my playlist, Listening to movies and You Tube did rather well too with no dropouts noted during my testing time and also no lag latency noted either..

Review – The TONOR TC-777 USB audio condenser. #Tech #Audio #TONOR

If you want to change your audio game and on a budget the TONOR TC-777 might be one to check out with a simple set up and easy to use approach, Built well too this offers just a cardiod option so it just picks up sound from the front and can only be used this way and it does suppress background noise too so keep in mind as other mics out there offer more than just cardiod. No software is required to set up either and Windows 10 will pick up the device once plugged in.

You get a built in shock mount that looks like a tripod but this can be unscrewed and you can use the light elsewhere of if you have an existing arm for example and is the standard thread for this so it will work anywhere. The unit is foldable so it is portable but for most it will be a permanent fixture in a studio or you can carry if you plan to use outdoors..
