AIB PTSB and Bank of Ireland to launch Zippay

Ireland’s top three retail banks will this week launch Zippay, the in-app mobile payment service developed by Nexi to help the lenders take on rival fintech giant Revolut.

The service will be made available from 10 March by AIB, Bank of Ireland and PTSB in a phased launch that reaches a potential userbase of over five million customers. Once launched, it will be made available to all financial institutions offering Irish consumers IBAN-based accounts and a mobile app.

Zippay enables users to send, request and split payments by using the mobile phone numbers of contacts saved in their address book, provided they are also signed up to the service. Customers will be able to send up to €1,000 per day and request up to €500 per transaction.

Brian Hayes, chief executive, banking and payments, Federation Ireland, says: “Starting on 10 March, customers will gradually see Zippay appear in their Irish mobile banking apps. The service will offer them a quick and easy way to send and receive money, or split bills and expenses with friends, family and other contacts using the service.”

Shopify Reviews Setup Guide: Everything You Need for 2026

Reviews from customers are the heartbeat for every successful online shop. They help build trust, increase sales and boost your rankings on search engines. Indeed, research shows 90% of shoppers look up reviews before they make a purchase. If your Shopify store doesn’t display reviews from customers it’s not making enough money.

This Shopify review app setup article will walk you through the essential information you should be aware of when setting up customer reviews on Shopify by 2026. This includes picking the appropriate application and optimizing your review display to maximize conversions.

No Reviews, No Sales. It’s Really That Simple for Shopify Stores.

Before starting this Shopify product review setup tutorial, it is important to comprehend what makes reviews worthy of your attention.

Reviews of products do more than fill in the blanks on your pages for products. They are endorsements by third parties that establish trust much superior to any writing for marketing. An authentic product page that includes reviews from customers feels honest and genuine, thus reducing the likelihood of purchasing at your online store.

The statistics aren’t flimsy. Reviews have higher conversion rates that those without. The research suggests that when an item reaches the 20-review mark, the chance of purchasing increases dramatically.

In the end, reviews can be an excellent source of information regarding your product and its customers. It will help you understand what people like as well as what they’d like to see something different, and occasionally find new ways to utilize your product.

Choosing the Right Review App for Your Store

Shopify has no built-in review system that is robust enough to support the modern world of e-commerce. Therefore, you’ll require a third party application. Shopify’s App Store Shopify App Store offers dozens of choices, each offering distinct features and prices.

  • Yotpo is a powerful platform that blends reviews with loyalty program or referrals as well as SMS marketing. It’s perfect for growing brands who require the most complete integration of their marketing channels. Yotpo is compatible to Google Seller Ratings and allows users to transfer reviews to platforms such as TikTok as well as Walmart.
  • Judge.me is widely thought to be the most value-for-money for money in the Shopify review area. The “forever free” plan includes unlimited review requests, photo reviews and other essential functions that a lot of apps require. It’s great for SEO since it offers large snippets of content right from the beginning and helps your stars show up on Google results.
  • Loox is the leader in the field in video and photo reviews. It automatically sends emails to offer clients a discount on their next purchase, in exchange for their photo review. It creates a continuous flow of visual user-generated content that makes the pages of your products appear more lively.
  • Okendo provides a wide range of customization options and the capability to record particular product features such as “Fit: True to Size.” It seamlessly integrates with marketing software for email, such as Klaviyo which makes it the preferred choice of well-established, fast-growing brands.
  • Vitals is a full-featured app that offers reviews, packages for upsells, countdown times as well as visitor record tools. Vitals is a great choice if you’re trying to integrate several functions in one application.

Following this Shopify product review setup tutorial, if you are choosing an application, be sure to consider the cost, whether you require photo or video reviews, and what SEO capabilities are important for your company. The majority of apps have free trials and you are able to try several before you decide.

Step-by-Step: Installing and Setting Up Your Review App

During Shopify review app setup, when you’ve picked one of the apps, the configuration procedure is simple. This is the case with Judge.me as an illustration since it’s among the most well-known options; however, the process is identical for the majority of review apps.

Step 1: Install the App

In the Shopify administrator, click the Apps section and select Shopify App Store. Find the app you want to install and click “Install.” Follow the steps to allow the app, and then connect the app to your account.

Step 2: Configure Basic Settings

Once you’ve installed the app, you’ll be directed to the application’s dashboard. Make sure you’ve configured the basic features:

  • Choose your voice for branding and moderating preferences. It is possible to publish each review manually, edit them or even use an approach that is hybrid.
  • Choose who is eligible to write reviews. It is usually a matter of all email addresses, verified purchasers only, or customers who have the status of loyalty.

You can enable uploads for video or photos in order to gather evidence of social media through visuals.

Step 3: Create Automated Review Requests

One of the greatest advantages of the app is its ability to automate. Create email sequences which will automatically solicit reviews once the customers have received their order.

  • Access the app’s email or automated settings. Create your email request for a review template to ensure it’s professional and personal.
  • Choose the time If you are purchasing physical items, make the initial inquiry 7-14 days after delivery. Digital products should be sent 24-48 hours after purchase is acceptable.

Think about sending out a reminder to customers who do not answer the initial request. If your app is compatible with SMS, think about the possibility of a follow-up via SMS. SMS messages are open at over 90%. They could significantly increase response rates.

Step 4: Add the Review Widget to Your Product Pages

It is now time to show reviews so that customers are able to see the reviews.

  • Click on Online Store > Themes and select “Customize” on your current theme. Within the theme editor choose the default product and products from the dropdown menu at the top.
  • Select “Add section” or “Add block.” Find your review application’s widget. It may be referred to as “Review Widget,” “Star Rating,” or some similar.

The widget can be dropped onto the location you prefer. The ideal location is typically beneath the title of the item or next to”Add to Cart” button “Add to Cart” button. Click “Save.”

Step 5: Test Everything

Before you call the setup to complete testing the complete procedure. Create a test purchase, and ensure that you have received an email with a request to review when it is scheduled.

Review your purchase by attaching a photograph and confirm that the review is displayed on the page of your product and appears good on both desktop as well as mobile.

Best Practices for Collecting More Reviews

Setting up a review software is only the first step. To ensure a constant flow of new reviews requires a continuous approach to collecting.

  • The timing is crucial. Review requests are made too quickly and people haven’t made up their minds. If you request too late, the customer has changed their minds. Most physical goods, 7-14 days after delivery is the ideal time.
  • The process of reviewing should be as easy as it can get. Make use of one-click hyperlinks in your emails, which take users straight to an easy online form. Upload photos and videos straight from mobiles without accounts to be created.
  • Rewards can greatly boost review completion rate. But, it’s important to design them in a way that is appropriate. Provide rewards for authentic review, not just favorable reviews. You will be in compliance to FTC guidelines as well as ensuring credibility.

Common Setup Issues and Fixes

  • Even after careful configuration issues can still develop. If you see star ratings on the product page but they aren’t on the collection page it is likely that you have to add the star rating block into your template collection.
  • Review widgets are sometimes cause slowdowns on your website. Select applications that are known for their light code, and make lazy loading available for review widgets, and check your website’s speed prior to and after the installation.
  • If multiple applications are using review schema, Google might get confused. Make use of browser developer tools to check the origin of your site and verify that there is only one schema markup is in place.
  • If you’ve imported your reviews from a different site and you’re not seeing them ensure that the handles or SKUs you’ve added to your import files match with the ones in the store you have created. Shopify store.

Conclusion

The ability to add product reviews to your Shopify shop is among the most profitable investments you could invest in. Reviews help build trust, improve conversions, boost SEO and offer valuable customer insight.

If you follow this shopify product review setup tutorial it is possible to select the best app, set it up correctly, and create collections workflows to keep the freshest social proof flowing on the pages of your products.

Gemini app: Create custom music tracks with Lyria 3

Since launching the Gemini app, they built tools to encourage creative expression through images and video. Today, Gemini is taking the next step: custom music generation. Lyria 3, Google DeepMind’s latest generative music model, is rolling out today in the Gemini app. Just describe an idea or upload a photo, like a comical R&B slow jam about a sock finding their match” and in a matter of seconds, Gemini will translate it into a high-quality, catchy track. To push the creative envelope further, you can even ask Gemini to take inspiration from something you upload. See more below.

Lyria 3 improves on audio generation from the previous model version in three important ways:

  1. No need to provide your own lyrics! They’ll be generated for you based on your prompt.

  2. You have more creative control over elements like style, vocals and tempo you want.

  3. You can create more realistic and musically complex tracks.

Here’s how you can use it:

  • Text to tracks: Describe a specific genre, mood, inside joke, or memory to create unique tracks with lyrics or instrumental audio that fits your vibe. “Create a track about my favorite meal my mom used to make, it was made of rice, plantains and beans. Use an Afrobeats vibe and the singer should sound West African.”

  • From photos and videos to track: Upload a photo or video and watch Gemini use the content to compose a track with lyrics that fit the mood perfectly. “Use these photos to create a track about my dog Duncan on a hike in the woods.”

The Gemini app creates 30-second tracks with custom cover art generated by Nano Banana. This makes it easy to quickly share with friends by downloading or simply clicking the share link. The goal of these tracks isn’t to create a musical masterpiece, but rather to give you a fun, unique way to express yourself.

Creators can also explore Lyria 3 on YouTube’s Dream Track. Available in the U.S. and now rolling out to YouTube creators in other countries, Lyria 3 will enhance the quality of each unique Shorts soundtrack. Whether it’s creating a lyrical verse or a vibey backing track, being able to better customize the soundtrack will take creators’ Shorts to the next level.

New audio verification capabilities

All tracks generated in the Gemini app are embedded with SynthID, our imperceptible watermark for identifying Google AI-generated content. We are also giving you more tools to help identify AI content, broadening our verification capabilities in the Gemini app to include audio. Simply upload a file and ask if it was generated using Google AI, and Gemini will check for SynthID and use its own reasoning to return a response.

Our commitment to developing generative AI responsibly

Since we first launched Lyria in 2023, we’ve sought to develop this technology responsibly in collaboration with the music community. We’ve learned a lot through these collaborations and our experiments, like Music AI Sandbox, and have been very mindful of copyright and partner agreements as we’ve trained Lyria 3.

Music generation with Lyria 3 is designed for original expression, not for mimicking existing artists. If your prompt names a specific artist, Gemini will take this as broad creative inspiration and create a track that shares a similar style or mood. We also have filters in place to check outputs against existing content. We recognize that our approach might not be foolproof, so you can report content that may violate your rights or the rights of others. Additionally, in order to use our products, users must adhere to our Terms of Service and Gen AI prohibited use policies, which prohibit violations of others’ intellectual property and privacy rights.

Lyria 3 is available in the Gemini app for all users 18+ in English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese, with plans to expand quality and coverage of more languages. And Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers will enjoy higher limits. Our goal with music generation in the Gemini app is to help you add a fun, custom soundtrack to your daily life. CCPC calls on Government to open up Irish taxi market

New research from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) highlights a supply shortage in the taxi sector as four in 10 people who tried to get a taxi in December reported difficulties doing so.

With a significant share of taxi users wanting the choice of ride-hailing (49%), the CCPC is calling for the removal of regulatory barriers to facilitate entry of these services. Ride-hailing platforms, such as Uber or Bolt, connect private drivers to passengers via apps. This would mean allowing these private drivers to provide services using their own cars, subject to appropriate regulatory safeguards.

According to the research, 57% of those who expressed an opinion believe that there are not enough taxis available in their area. However, there are stark differences across geographical locations.

While 56% of those living in Dublin believed there are enough taxis in their area, only 28% of those outside of Dublin agree. This drops to 21% for those living in Connacht or Ulster.

Participants were asked whether they would like the choice of accessing ride-hailing services, subject to regulatory requirements.

While 49% of taxi users surveyed would like the option of ride-hailing services, this figure rose to 57% for those who believe there are not enough taxis in their area.

When asked whether they would prefer a fixed fare or a metered fare, 60% said they would support a fixed fare option.

The research also found that 53% of respondents surveyed tried to get a taxi in December 2025. Two in five who tried to get a taxi in December experienced problems, with 27% saying they had to stop looking as no taxis were available.

The research comes ahead of the National Transport Authority’s (NTA) regulatory assessment of the licensing of dispatch operators, which is due to begin later this year.

Brian McHugh, CCPC chair said:

“Regulatory barriers in the taxi market have failed to facilitate innovations that have flourished in other countries and consumers are suffering as a result. Our research shows a clear preference for more choice among consumers who are not getting the service they need.

“This is not about abandoning oversight or regulation.  Any new entrants could and should be regulated to maintain high service and safety standards. Consumers and businesses deserve an innovative, functioning taxi sector that provides choice. Consumers shouldn’t be faced with long waits or the possibility of staying home due to a lack of taxi availability.

“The CCPC is calling on the Government to remove key regulatory barriers in the taxi market so that it can be more responsive to consumer needs and align better with how transport systems are evolving all over the world. The goal is to achieve a balance that protects consumers and ensures access, while also allowing competition and innovation to improve the market. We look forward to engaging with the NTA in their consultation process and to exploring all solutions that might increase capacity and choice.

steelseries Arctis Gamebuds Review

The SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds are their latest in-ear earbuds on offers targetted at gamers however these can be used as standalone earbuds and overall the results are quite impressive, having tested over 250 pairs of earbuds these sound better than expected as a whole and is a must for gamers

The design is a typical standard earbud and sit well in the ears feeling secure and will not fall out even if excercising, the case is your average size and will fit in any pocket there is a button on each side and is tactile which I prefer over touch based earbuds and these worked well with no false results there is a nice clicky sound to them and are accuate each time.

In the case you also get a dongle like most of their headsets giving you Low Latency Using 2.4GHz wireless instead of Bluetooth eliminates the “audio lag” that usually makes earbuds impossible for competitive shooters. Quick Switch: You can triple-tap the bud to instantly swap between your gaming console (2.4GHz) and your phone (Bluetooth 5.3).

There is a specific Xbox version (white/black) that includes a security chip for Microsoft consoles, but still works with everything else. The PlayStation version will not work on Xbox. I tested mine on the Nintendo Switch Xbox phone and PC

The sound profile is punchy and detailed and most importanly immersive but the Arctis Companion App offers more and gives you control over the earbuds while the sound is excellent the app turns things up a notch and I have notice things wehen gaming I would not hear on regular earbuds and it is joy to hear

You can load specific EQ profiles for games like Apex Legends, Call of Duty, or Elden Ring directly from your phone. These presets actually change the sound signature on the buds themselves, so the settings stay active even when you plug the dongle into a Switch or PS5. ANC is decent enough and overall you will be please also the mic quality is quite good given there is no boom arm like their headsets offer.

The controls also work well and they can be customised too you can see this in the video review down below and we go through the app

The GameBuds have a great battery life up to 10 Hours on a single session on a 2.4GHz connection (with ANC off).

A 15 minutes fast charge in the case gives you 3 hours of playtime and the case supports wireless charging, a premium touch often skipped by competitors and a preferrence of mine.

Overall if you want to hear more than regular earbuds when gaming these are what you need and they are also excellent at general use for music and movies and worth the punt.

Reolink, an innovative leader in intelligent visual technology for the home and business, has announced today the launch of the TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi, a dual-lens 4K PTZ floodlight camera with local AI video search. As the newest member of Reolink’s floodlight cam series, the hardwired TrackFlex is now available for purchase in the U.S. with a retail price starting from 259.99 USD on Reolink.com and Amazon – all without subscription fees.

Award Winning Innovation

Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi made a strong debut at IFA Berlin 2025, winning the IFA Innovation Awards Honoree, and a total of 19 “Best of IFA 2025” awards from top mass media and tech outlets, including TechRadar’s Best of IFA 2025 Award, and the BGR IFA Innovation Award 2025. The camera was highly praised for its innovative approach to solving long-standing pain points in conventional security cameras—such as limited horizontal visibility and loss of fine details. Combined with 4K clarity, 360-degree horizontal coverage and auto-zoom tracking, TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi delivers a convenient and thoughtful monitoring experience, ensuring full property coverage with zero blind spots. For more details, please refer to a comprehensive TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi review, as well as a TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi vs. Elite Floodlight WiFi comparison, highlighting the key differences between the two models.

Two Lens, Two Views, One Screen

TrackFlex features an advanced 2-in-1 dual-lens design, offering 360-degree coverage to capture wide areas such as yards and driveways with precision. The dual-lens system autonomously switches between focal lengths to track moving subjects seamlessly. This ensures users can capture crystal-clear detail both near and far, eliminating the blurry focus lag typical of conventional single-lens cameras. Both the expansive wide-angle view powered by the 4K lens and the close-up detail view enabled by the 6x hybrid lens are displayed simultaneously on one screen in the Reolink App, giving users a truly comprehensive monitoring perspective.

3000 Lumens of Nighttime Security

TrackFlex boasts up to 3000 industry-leading Lumens Dimmable LEDs, delivering crisp, vibrant, full-color footage without the common issues of detail and color loss in low-light conditions. Its powerful brightness is combined with a 110-decibel automatic siren to deter potential intruders. Additionally, the camera supports adjustable color temperature settings(6500K cool light or 3000K warm light), giving users the flexibility to customize the lighting based on the preferences. Users have the option to manually adjust the lighting or let the automatic setting select the best option according to ambient light, offering convenient adaptability.

Find Fast, Stay Private

TrackFlex is powered by the cutting-edge ReoNeura™ AI system, featuring the Local AI Video Search. This on-device AI feature enables users to quickly retrieve relevant videos through text descriptions like “man in a blue shirt,” removing the need for time-consuming manual searches. The system can automatically identify people, vehicles, animals, and even packages, directly exporting the desired videos. All processing is done locally on the device, ensuring privacy and avoiding any extra costs.

Out-of-View Detection

Another standout feature that sets TrackFlex apart is its 270-degree Out-of-View Detection. Thanks to the built-in array of three passive infrared (PIR) sensors, the camera can continuously detect motion at distances ranging from 2 to 10 meters within the ultra-wide 270-degree zone, ensuring hidden activities are promptly captured for enhanced security. When mounted at the ideal height of 2 to 3 meters, it provides broad coverage, offering reliable and precise security across large areas.

Revolut amps up fight against impersonation scams

Revolut, the global fintech with more than 65 million global customers and 12 million in the UK, is today launching a new in-app feature designed to protect users from one of the most insidious types of fraud: impersonation scams. The new feature detects when a customer opening the Revolut app is on the phone – this includes apps allowing voice calls – and confirms whether they are, or not, talking with a Revolut agent. It goes one step further than similar features in the market, helping customers promptly take the right action to report attempted fraud and keep their funds safe if it is found they’re being targeted.

With the rise of AI-generated deepfake voices and increasingly sophisticated social-engineering tactics, criminals are finding new ways to convince consumers they are speaking to their bank or somebody they trust. Impersonation scams trick victims into believing they’re on a legitimate call with a trusted financial institution or person – often pressuring them to move money to safer accounts, to share sensitive data, or to approve fraudulent transactions.

This threat is accelerating rapidly. Scammers can now generate highly convincing scripts and even synthetic voice mimics. Concerningly, A 2021 study found that only 25% of people can accurately distinguish a deepfake voice from a real one – however, most participants falsely believed they could identify the fakes. This leaves people vulnerable to scams – only adding to the surge of APP (Authorised Push Payment) fraud.

Empowering users with timely, actionable protection

Revolut’s new feature introduces a live in-app banner that appears the moment the app detects the user is on a phone call. The system identifies whether the call is coming from Revolut or from another number and advises accordingly:

  • If the caller is Revolut, the banner will confirm that the call is legit
  • If the caller is not Revolut, the user will see a clear, urgent banner informing them that they are not on a call with Revolut
  • Tapping the banner leads users to actionable protection pathways based on what’s happening.

This real-time contextual system provides an additional layer of defence against impersonation attempts that occur during live calls – a scenario where victims can be caught off guard and vulnerable under pressure.

Rami Kalai, Product Owner at Revolut said: “Revolut is committed to building a safer financial future. As fraudsters adopt AI and advanced deepfake tools, we need to innovate fast to defend our customers and stay ahead of rapidly evolving fraud threats. This new feature not only gives users real-time, contextual warnings in the moment they need them most but also guides them to identify impersonation scams providing clear, actionable steps to keep their money safe while the fraud attempt is happening.”

A broader strategy to protect customers

This launch builds on a suite of recent features introduced by Revolut to protect customers from scams and unauthorised activity. In 2024 alone, Revolut’s advanced fraud-prevention systems saved customers more than £600 million that would have otherwise been lost to scams. Recent releases include:

  • In-App Calls – allowing customers to speak to Revolut directly and securely via the in-app feature, eliminating the need to trust phone numbers received externally in the vast majority of cases.
  • Wealth Protection and Street Mode – features designed to keep transfers safe through biometric verification and delay them, in the case of Street Mode, to contrast specific events like transfer mugging.
  • Enhanced machine-learning systems that detect and block risky transactions before they leave a customer’s account.

The new feature is already active for all Revolut customers with an iOS device. Android users will need to proactively authorise the feature from the Security Hub.

The WOLFANG Indoor Security Camera model WSO1 is an affordable in house security camera with two tricks up its sleeve others that do not have and at a super affordable price.

The camera can be mounted on a wall or a flat surface and it will need a power outlet nearby you can either use a micro sd card or purchase the cloud storage option which gives a free trail to begin with. Setting up takes a few minutes and once set up and settled where you want it then you can adjust to your needs and leave it sit there and do its job.

The camera itself has all the features you would expect from a security camera and more and gives good clairty audio and video day or night as you will see in the footage below in the video review.
