Google Ads is fully rolled out to advertisers in the US and UK

Google have just announced that conversational experience in Google Ads is fully rolled out to advertisers in the US and UK and it will be rolling out globally to all English language advertisers over the next few weeks.

The conversational experience was first announced last year and helps businesses of all sizes build better Search campaigns through a chat-based experience. After months of testing, we’re excited to bring this to more advertisers around the world.

Some of the highlights are

  • This is the first of many Gemini integrations for Google Ads.

  • All advertisers need to do is enter their website and Google AI will generate relevant ad content, including creatives (images, headlines, descriptions) and keywords.

  • Advertisers retain full control over which assets are ultimately deployed as part of their campaign and they can iterate on the generated content via the chat function.

  • All images created with generative AI in Google Ads, including conversational experience, will include open standard metadata and be invisibly watermarked with SynthID.

For smaller businesses, the conversational experience is especially helpful at scaling creative and more easily building high-performing campaigns, while larger agencies may find it useful to quickly deploy and test campaign concepts before rolling them out more broadly.

Haltia.AI Advocates for #RightToCompute

Haltia.AI, a pioneer in personal AI technology, is spearheading a transformative initiative called the ‘#RightToCompute’. This initiative goes beyond mere access to technology; it boldly proposes that the freedom to use a computer for any purpose is a fundamental human right, akin to the freedoms of thought and expression. Against the backdrop of the past year, as some governments have begun to impose restrictions on who can access rapidly developing AI capabilities, the ‘#RightToCompute’ campaign emerges as a crucial and timely response, challenging these limitations and advocating for unrestricted computational freedom.

Inspired partly by the techno-optimist manifesto of Silicon Valley magnate Marc Andreessen, the ‘#RightToCompute’ is at its core about reshaping the tech landscape to foster an environment where innovation and knowledge are not just privileges, but fundamental rights. It challenges the status quo, seeking to democratize the digital realm and break down barriers imposed by monopolistic practices.

Haltia.AI, driven by its core values of privacy as dignity and global collaboration for human progress, sees the ‘#RightToCompute’ as a crucial step towards a future where technology serves humanity universally, not just a select few. This initiative envisions a world where every individual has the means to harness technology for personal growth and community enrichment.

Why should this matter to everyone? Because the future of technology is about more than just gadgets and apps – it’s about ensuring that the next wave of digital evolution uplifts all of humanity, not just a fraction. The ‘#RightToCompute’ is a clarion call for equal opportunity in the digital age, a chance to redefine our relationship with technology, and a promise of a more inclusive, collaborative, and equitable world.

While Haltia.AI’s involvement in this wider movement stems partly from the desire to streamline product development in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape, its deeper commitment lies in upholding deontological principles of fairness and access in the digital age. It’s fundamentally about championing ethical standards and ensuring that digital progress equates to societal advancement.

Steve Cobb, Haltia.AI’s Lead AI Ethicist and the primary author behind this initiative, emphasizes the importance of nurturing this movement organically. “Our goal is to create a platform for open discourse, where ideas on digital rights and access can flourish without commercial overtones,” says Cobb.

The campaign focuses on the core idea that computing power, akin to the freedom of speech and thought, is fundamental to human progress. “Just as the printing press revolutionized the dissemination of and access to information, computing power and AI are reshaping our capacity for thought, creativity and innovation,” says Cobb. “Ensuring unhampered access to these essential technologies is vital for individual empowerment and societal advancement.”

The initiative has been shaped into a comprehensive campaign, complete with a dedicated website and a series of articles and discussions. Haltia.AI invites industry leaders, technologists, policymakers, and the public to engage with this movement. The initiative seeks not just to protect the future of AI development but to ensure that these powerful technologies remain tools for individual empowerment and collective progress.

Tech Review – XbotGo AI tracking sports gimbal

The XbotGo AI Sports Gimbal is a versatile tool designed to effortlessly capture and live stream team sports like soccer, basketball, and football. Ideal for sports enthusiasts and parents eager to record their children’s games or practices, this gimbal ensures you won’t miss a moment of the action. In tandem with this we also use their T4 tripod which proved super beneficial and stable compared to others including the one I use to catch the product in action on a windy day so I would advise getting this as well as the gimbal for better results.

The gimbal is not like other per se but could be used however the structure and set up is familiar like others and gimbal users will have no time at all getting going it takes about 5 minutes to get set up and running on site and you let the product do all the work for you which is what I like most.

There is some parameters to fill in depending on the sport or if used in single use like we tested in as there is no sports activities on now with the holidays it proved beneficial and just works all the time.

There is some controls on the product too should you need to adjust things somewhat and again simple to follow there is a shutter key on the rear which doubles as a volume key on iPhone, there is a joystick and mode button too for your convenience.

To get set up you need to get the balance right on your phone and when you open the arm you will need to set the device right on it to get the best results and once set each time you turn it on it will automatically set up, you can easily toggle between modes and then just let the AI tracking do its job it is quite impressive again it is ideal for those in the sports industry to monitor individuals or team work and you just sit back and check the results later.

Another benefit to this is the option to live stream which again is excellent for local league matches and so on or a school team sports for example and overall an ideal product that is not expensive to get the job done for those into sports and again I would advise getting their tripods for optimal results which are smooth ones at that and does not jerk freeze or go off track. Check the video for more below to see what is in the app and how it works.

Key features include:

  • Hands-free recording of team sports.
  • User-friendly app for intuitive control.
  • Advanced auto-tracking utilizing pose and motion tracking technology.
