Meet Yu Yutopia the new king of budget By @VicenteA_George #Android #Cyanogen

This has been the year of budget but powerful devices, like the One Plus X or the Moto X 2015

But, what is a truly “bang for buck”? For me is that device that offers the best specs possible within the smaller price tag, and this time that gadget seems to have come from India

Meet the Yu Yutopia

Plus the Cyanogen base guarantee  you’ll get Android 6.0 with all the goodies only the guys a Cyanogen can deliver.
Something worth noticing is the fact this is the first Indian phone to come with a Snapdragon chipset instead of the MediaTek one they always use to reduce costs moreover we-ll see how they handle the heat problem.

Viber messaging app takes on Snapchat with Viber Wink. #Viber

Popular app Viber has launched a new standalone app called Viber Wink which enables users to send messages that will dissappear, however you must be using the official Viber app itself too and you can send the wink within the Viber app..This is a nice addition to the app which already allows you make calls, videos and send messages of all sorts.

The app is simple to use and all that is needed to do is set a time limit, these limits are from 1 second to either 10 seconds or NO time-limit. You can also add text to the image or video in a similar way that is done on Snapchat and any pics you take with the camera within the app can be saved to your gallery..

Viber Wink is only available on Android and iOS for now and no word on Windows Phone yet which is to be expected.

Hoverboards – Perhaps we should wait until next year? #Hoverboards

Hoverboards – Not really boards that hover but something you self balance on are the in thing these days and I must admit they look cool, cool as they may seem there is too many safety concerns now with them and perhaps people should wait a little longer until some more stringent testing is done to ensure they are fully safe and pass all standards..

Yes it may sound like a bit of a bah-humbug situation though the safety of your child and home is probably a bit more important right?

Up until now several have been banned and removed from stores and websites around the globe and its becoming more prevalent each day and amid safety concerns big retailers like Amazon and Argos have ceased to sell some models of the latest craze… Recently The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission have also seized some 1400 units amid safety concerns, these hover-boards are also not cheap standing at around €350 or thereabouts heading north model dependent..

Argos stated

“They take customer safety “extremely seriously” and have decided to undertake “additional testing” on the Nevaboard gadget. While we undertake these checks, we have temporarily withdrawn the Nevaboard from sale”

Argos also said if you have any fears or worriers people can get a refund immediately..

The issues to date seem to be plugs, flex, batteries internals whilst nothing specific, its something to think about as many folk would have purchased either online or via market and should be aware at least. This is not to say there are boards available without issues but the problem is there and a concern..

Unboxing and First impressions #Nokia #Lumia830 Gold by @Tiwaash #Goldie

The world was excited ever since the leaked news of Nokia Lumia Limited Edition started to surface and every Nokia fanboy wanted the Gold Limited edition Lumia830 and Lumia930 to be theirs, and we were no exception to it and finally after a lot of sourcing we bring you the Unboxing and First impressions of the Nokia Lumia830 Limited Edition, Black Gold.

I was so excited when I received the parcel, I know it was going to be special. And read on to know what was there in the package and how is the Nokia Lumia830 Limited Edition different from the usual Nokia Lumia830.

Package:

Well to be honest I wasn’t really impressed with the package, it was the same slide-out type box exactly like the other Nokia Lumia packages with the photos on the face and the back of the box and name of the device on the side with the colour indicator and “Limited Edition” badging.

Cut open the tag and you cannot stop smiling. You are greeted with the Gold Edition Nokia Lumia830, I had the black gold combo and it looked just great. Apart from the device the package was meager and nothing else to excite about with the travel adapter, a couple of booklets, battery and  a USB data cable in the simplest manner possible.

Being a limited edition I expected the package to be more generous like a “Limited edition” case and ear phones would have been a welcome premium offering as the phone comes with MixRadio pre-installed.

What is special in “Limited Edition”?

Anything with a “Limited Edition” badging creates excitement and so did the Nokia Lumia830. The Limited Edition was restricted to the paint job on the device. The Limited Edition Nokia Lumia830 was available in Black- gold or White- gold colour schemes with Gold colour used for the Metal casing with the buttons, the Nokia badging on the back and the battery space below the back cover.

First Impressions:

I love the Black- gold colour scheme on this device. It gives the device a premium upmarket feel and with “Limited Edition” stamp its a rare device to own. Other than the paint job, the Limited Edition Nokia Lumia830 is identical to the normal Nokia Lumia830, its light, slim, has a 10 mp snapper on the back with PureView technology and an LED flash, the 3.5 mm jack and micro-USB port are also stationed at exactly the spot and all other specs remain the same.

I enjoy the feel of the Matte- black finish on the device with brushed metal in Gold, this device will definitely make you stand out in the crowd. Enjoy the gallery here.
