A few enquiries  have came in and some on local forums about this number in particular which is 57977 so first and foremost if you get it just delete it straight away..

You will be asked to answer some questions to win an iPhone 6 or another  tasty prize and more  which all sound fine and dandy but this is a premium service and will cost you money on your account. There is however more than one service using this shortcode as pointed out on Service Checker which points out to be all subscription services so caution is required here and also to note when using your device be always cautious as to what you sign into or up for as often the case people get caught out with one scam or another and there is plenty going around..  77games.ie is one to watch in particular.. One customer had a bill for €27 despite sending STOP to the number,if you see these competitions on the likes of Facebook this is one place where they will catch you out using your number..

The popular quiz show Countdown now has an Android app in the Google Play store which will set you back 0.84cent. But that is if you can get it,for now the App is region locked to the UK but app fans know how to work around that so there is no need for us to tell you how to do so..

The app has got mixed reviews to date which is expected at any launch of a new app but nonetheless it is there now for you to try out should you be needing a new game to pass time. As the game is new by reading the reviews it seems to need some work so lets hope the dev is listening and from what looks like a good game lives on to be one..

It is a sad day for Music fans as LINE kills popular streaming service #MixRadio #Music

This morning we received the bad new that the hugely popular Streaming Music service Mix Radio is being axed by LINE. This has come as a shock to the millions of users around the world who have been there since day one when it started out as Nokia Music. Mix Radio was bought by the company LINE from Microsoft back in December 2014    Nobody seen this coming to be fair and with updates rolling out fast over the last while it has been a shock.

Mix Radio as we all know started off as Nokia Music and was initially first available on Windows Phone and most if not all Windows Phone users used the service,later on the service was made available on Android and iOS including Apple watch.

This morning Dean Pattrick who has been an evangelist and a true Music Guru on the Mix Radio team sent this tweet this morning.

Over the years we have been highly supportive of Mix Radio and wish to thank them all for what they have done over the years and a huge thanks to Dean who has been a very proactive member with the community and fans alike which is something that cant be said for others services alike.Today is a very sad day and we do hope good fortunes come their way soon and we wish them well in the future.

LINE Corporation, owner and operator of the free call and messaging app LINE, today announced its decision to discontinue the operations of its subsidiary MixRadio Limited. The MixRadio music streaming service will be discontinued in the coming weeks as we work with the technical team and partners to ensure a smooth closure.

 

•Reasons for Termination of MixRadio Operations

LINE agreed to acquire the business and assets making up the music service known as MixRadio from Microsoft Mobile OY in December 2014. The newly established company continued to provide a radio-style music streaming service intended to provide a broader user experience. Nevertheless, after a careful assessment of the subsidiary’s overall performance, the financial challenges posed by the music streaming market, and priorities of LINE Corporation, LINE has determined that future growth would be difficult to ensure and decided to discontinue the MixRadio music streaming service.  

LINE will continue to provide a unique user experience that blends music and communication via its LINE MUSIC service, which is currently available in Japan and Thailand. 

LINE and the MixRadio team would like to thank the users of MixRadio for all of their support of the service.

Review – One for the ladies – Pink Ulak Knox Armor case for the Samsung Galaxy S6. #Ulak #Review

This time we have went Pink for the ladies and most cases are a generic colour this time we thought we would change the tone and we did.The Samsung S6 is a popular device and make no mistake there is plenty of female owners out there that sport one. Lets take a look at the Ulak case for the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Packaging is the same as our previous reviews and has no change at all,it simple and effective and tough enough for transportation with padding inside the box to protect it some more,not that its needed as it is a very robust case which comes in two pieces and also easy to install on your device.

All ports on the case for the S6 can be easily accessed and there is a flap present which locks well when not in use on the MicroUSB and headphone sockets this will add more protection to these areas from dirt and dust which can be a problem at times and is a welcome addition to the normal offerings we see. The case has a nice soft edge with good grip on all sides and thicker bumper areas in the corners to give more protection should you drop your phone,the corner is the most likely place you device gets hit when dropped.The back of the case also selected point with rubber toppings to stop the phone from slipping,also to note the camera and flash areas are recessed so again away from harms way.

The keys also work quite fine with no issues to report and work well,they might seem a bit still at first but will loosen up,this would be common in some cases but the buttons on the case are soft and not like the plastic backing you see which is also a tad slippy but the design does not let you feel this due to the rubber edges and makes safe for leaving face or back down as seen in the images above there is a good clearance for the screen on the front. The case had no effect on functionality at all and the camera or front sensors not affected on how the case is mounted,overall the case is rather a good quality case and protects your device more than adequate even though it will add some size to your Samsung S6 and might be just a little to much for some,but it is better to be safe than sorry and in Pink it looks rather well and worth the spend which is around €12 plus shipping from Amazon and available in an array of colours.

It looks like yesterday when we were covering  CES2016 and then MCW2016 is just around the corner,

We are expecting to see a lot of things there, but if you thought OEMs were the only ones making announcements you were wrong, as Vodafone has just give us a glimpse on what’s to come with they new tech called 4GFI

Is a really normal thing to suffer connection loss when covering or attending these kind of events (Which is really funny if you ask me)

Thinking about it Vodafone has release today during a press conference their new project called 4GFI which will improve the connection on 2G and 3G phones using an updated 4G hotspot from your phone your house and even your car.

The 4GFI is an autonomous app the will be automatically turn on if just in optimal conditions, without the need of the user intervention or any kind of passwords, using Vodafone networks, so even if you use your phone as hotspot for your other devices or friends your date is going to be safe.

This will enhance other connection services, so this will be really useful if you or your friends have a 2G or 3G phone, the one with a 4G capable device will provide faster data transfer in 15x on 3G devices and 3000x on 2G ones.
