The Mozo leather case for the Microsoft Lumia 650 is up next and this is a really nice touch indeed,covering the entire device not adding much bulk either it looks and feels well leaving all ports accessible such as Micro USB and 3.5mm headphone socket so its a case than can be left on folks. The case itself has a nice leather finish with stitching surrounding the edges gives it a nice look,there is also a magnet to hold it close which is secure and not in the way either,the cut-out on the rear for the camera and flash area is also on point and protects that all important lens and flash.The case comes with built in NFC and works perfectly as we will show you in video,so there is nothing to worry about here. At Techbuzzireland we like to feature and support Apps made in Ireland and anywhere else for that matter and today we are going to talk about a new app called DateIdeaApp which is founded and directed by Niall Mc Dermott from Belfast and he is going to tell us some more about himself and how the app came to life.
So Niall tell us about you first of all..
Belfast has been my home for over a decade now but it probably took me half that time to spread my wings from the University Quarter and explore the wider social, arts & culture scene that this great city has to offer, from award winning plays to fantastic live music as well as local talent in the arts scene.
In August 2013 while working full time as a Sales & Business Development Manager at Harland and Wolff I started designing a new entertainments listing website for Belfast after becoming frequently frustrated when trying to find out what events were happening that me and my girlfriend could go out for a date night on.
Less than two years later, single again, and still having similar issues – trying to think of entertainment for nights out with girls I had met through (now popular and widely accepted) dating apps – I ditched the website concept (as it was too similar to my competitors) and started developing my own smartphone app… DATEIDEA.
What is this app all about then?
The App is designed to give you actual options of what to do for a date night whether that be a first date, a steady date (to try somewhere new), a marriage date (because maybe you haven’t been out in a while) or even just a night out with friends or family. The DATEIDEA App is primarily an events compiling service, showcasing in chronological format the upcoming events in Belfast with details of start time, venue location and ticket/entry costs.Check out the simple explainer video below. Who do you expect to use this app and what else is to come?
My users are the the General Public who can download the App for free and find out ideas for dates with someone special, their friends or just family. My customers are the event promoters and venue operators who want to advertise directly to the people looking for somewhere to go. At the minute we only have standard events listings but we are introducing promoted listings and deal offers soon.
The DATEIDEA App was launched in Belfast on iOS Friday 20th November 2015 with an Android version launched on 29th January 2016. We have concentrated a lot of our programming recently on the back end analytics system to be able to offer a similar level of demographic performance reporting as social media adverts. We are hoping to launch in Dublin on 1st June and then expand to the UK in September.

Well this app aims to do so by creating awareness of safety which is a great idea and perhaps other countries could follow suit. The app will give people some knowledge of where to find safety equipment in their locale and all communities should get involved,this could save lives which is important.
How it works.
The Save a Selfie app has been designed and developed to help members of the public pinpoint the location of emergency equipment in their local community.

The Tattoo,Some like them some hate them and some think that people that sport them are not part of modern society and make you look dirty,Yes there is still a taboo with the subject along with many other things today. Anyway even if you dont have a tattoo and considered getting one this is the place to go and see what it looks like before you even hit the tattoo artist..The app is on iOS only for now but it is coming to Android and Windows Phone..The app actually uses augmented reality and is in real time so its pretty cool indeed. The app simply works by using your mobile phones camera and you then scan the desired area you wish to have your tattoo placed,This is then when the AR comes into effect and it will relay the image back to your device and that is all there is too it.You can pick designs or chose your own too which is good rather than been left with specific templates.

Lets be frankly honest here,when it comes to local apps here in Ireland for Windows Phone it sucks,It cant be denied end of story,with plenty of apps for Android and iOS there is a rare sight of a Windows Phone app to match to the numbers, Alongside the ignorance from the companies themselves alongside the media with little or no coverage of apps it has been a downhill battle for the last few years and market share now proves this,I personally have given up constantly asking companies due the same repeated scripted responses when we all knew they would not bother their backside with Windows Phone apps,The most common saying was “We do not have any plans to make this app for Windows Phone” This in turn has made people jump ship,the banking sector and airlines in particular where users can use their devices to make life easier,it just never happened and probably never will..
Today there is some good news from a third party dev called Thierry Fierenswho has developed an app for the Irish people,and its people like him that give Windows Phone users some hope and perhaps cling onto the platform a bit longer,the app is called Entertainment.ie TV (Unofficial)
Thierry tells us he was fed up not being able to check this on my phone. Then i thought, I’m always on my laptop or tablet, so why not make an app that works on all 3.

Having went through the app it looks well,performs well and does everything that is required which makes it a noce job indeed an its nice to see..
This is probably going a bit too far but nonetheless its here and it aint cheap and if you do be stupid enough to buy one there is something wrong and not only that people do sleep in other places too unless the makers are confined to the bedroom? Internetofshit has found a good one here, Say hello to the Smarttress complete with 24 sensors to detect suspicious activity.. Yep and it is only going to cost you about a 1500 EURO, Have we not heard of hotels lads?
It simply works by sending alerts to your mobile phone via an app thats on Android and iOS and even at that anyone could be on the bed such as your pet or a child for example,I actually think this is some kind of joke to see what traction they get out of it,if its not it will fail miserably. There is such things in life as trust and private detectives if you feel the need for one but this just takes the piss..
