The A100 has been created to deliver a High-Fidelity audio system with intoxicating sound quality and stunning visual appeal; the perfect combination of certified Hi-Res digital audio processing technology and an aesthetic of understated elegance. Using the same XMOS core as the more powerful A300, this unassuming cabinet delivers a sound far beyond your expectations.
Available in classic black and white, and a dazzling poppy red, the A100 is finished in an impeccable piano lacquer appearance, giving it a high-grade shine and sleek feel. The overall style of the A100 was inspired by the flagship AirPulse 7001 near-field monitor speakers, which were exclusively developed by Phil Jones.
This plug-and-play speaker utilizes the brand’s signature horn-loaded aluminium ribbon tweeter. Inheriting the mechanism from the 7001, the thin aluminium ribbon diaphragm has excellent transient response, high sensitivity, an increased frequency range and well-defined sound details. This meticulously formulated horn shape produces directional and optimized high frequencies, directing the sound to the listener and reducing unwanted room reflection. The result is a superior, three-dimensional sound with an excellently defined sound stage.
The mid woofer is a 5 inch unit, featuring a hard anodized aluminium alloy cone suspended in a heavy, ultra-rigid cast magnesium alloy frame. Designed using meticulous testing, the 35mm diameter voice coil is larger than most found in similar sized speakers. It has been shown that larger voice coils have less power compression because they run at a cooler operating temperature. Sonically, this means a more realistic and dynamic representation of the music, really allowing the listener to be totally immersed.
The cabinet is built using 18mm thick, high-strength MDF and is fully lined with professional waved sound absorption material. The oval shaped vent tube at the back of the unit has been specifically designed to minimize wind noise. This vent, along with the cabinet lining, keeps sound coloration and audio distortion to an absolute minimum.
The A100 supports multiple inputs, including AUX, PC, USB, optical and Qualcomm’s Bluetooth v5.0 chipset, resulting in minimal interruptions. The well – known American TRANSPARENT cable is used for internal connections to ensure minimum signal loss, producing a reliable sound quality.
Bass, treble and volume controls are located on the back panel. Easily brighten the highs-frequency to your taste and adjust the amount of bass according to the listening environment. Included with the pair of speakers is a wireless remote that allows you to switch between inputs, adjust volume and mute your speakers from a distance.

The home of Nokia phones, HMD Global, can today announce that the Nokia 5.4 is available to buy in Ireland from Three and Harvey Norman starting at €159. The 5.4 pushes the boundaries of what is possible at this level – featuring a 48MP Quad Camera with advanced recording capabilities and cinematic effects, two-day battery life and supported by Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 662 Mobile Platform, it offers fantastic value for money.
The new handset from the European smartphone player is designed to help people manage their increasingly busy lives while catering to the growing side hustle trend, which sees people around the world turning their passions into cash, by simply using their phone.
Championing speed and performance at amazing value, the Nokia 5.4 is the perfect partner. The signature quad camera stamps out shutter lag completely and has been upgraded to 48 megapixels – that’s 160 times better than the first Nokia camera phone (the Nokia 7650). This means you’ll never miss a moment – whether your capturing your passion project or precious family moments.
Treasured videos will look richer than ever with professional colour grading for a cinematic feel to your home and work movies. As for that all-important performance, the Nokia 5.4 promises a faster and smoother experience. In fact, it has enough juice to power you through 42 commutes (mean global commute is 67 minutes) and still has battery left over to check in with the kids and your email.
Committed to offering the latest security patch updates and Android upgrades, Nokia smartphones are beautifully designed inside and out. With three years of monthly security updates covered, people are safe for the time it takes a newborn to start walking, talking, speaking and telling their own stories. Bringing peace of mind to consumers, Nokia smartphones are number one in the 2020 brand trust rankings, raising the industry benchmark for upgrading more affordable devices.
Lisa Higgins, UK Marketing Lead and Country Manager for Ireland:
“Today marks an exciting day for the Nokia 5 series. The Nokia 5.4 has been designed to cater to consumers’ ever evolving lifestyles and is a timely addition to our smartphone portfolio. The recent rise of the side hustle trend has been a telling reflection of the difficult times faced by many consumers. We needed to do more than combine the fantastic 48MP camera and film capabilities with along battery life. So we added reliability with the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 662 Mobile Platform, 3 years of safety updates and 2 years of software upgrades. The resulting Nokia 5.4 is a smartphone that perfectly supplements the lives of those who thrive on more than a regular 9-5.”
Your Nokia 5.4 has:
4000mAh battery – enough juice to handle 42 commutes (mean global commute is 67 minutes) with power to spare to check-in with the kids
3 years of monthly security updates – the same time it takes for a child to walk, talk, learn to speak and tell their own stories
Tough polycarbonate body – strong enough to withstand the weight of a 10-year-old child (average global weight is 70.5lb)
48MP camera – 160 times more detail than the first ever Nokia camera phone (Nokia 7650)
0 shutter lag – 100% chance of capturing your child’s first cartwheel on camera
60FPS – action captured will be nearly 3 times smoother than footage from standard 24fps cinema industry cameras
Capture moments like the pros
The impressive combo of a 48MP quad camera and 16MP front camera allow you to take stunning photos and videos. Capturing incredible detail at any time and in any place has never been easier – be it in the light, dark, at home or on the move. The main camera’s ultra-wide lens takes in the bigger picture and is perfect for expansive landscape shots. Meanwhile, the depth and macro cameras will get those portraits and close-up snaps just right. Shutter lag is so often the ruin of that on-the-move, once in a lifetime shot – for the Nokia 5.4, this has been reduced to zero, meaning you won’t miss that never-again moment.
When shooting content, we’ve emulated the experts for our ‘Cinema’ mode. This function captures 24fps (the film industry standard) and allows users to shoot content in 21:9 cinematic format. Once finished, the professional colour grading options can add a Hollywood-like feel to your memories. To get smoother motion shots, simply dial it up to 60fps video recording – that’s nearly three times the film industry standard. Whether you’re filming your kid’s newly mastered skateboard trick or your dog’s fetch skills,, the high frame rate will capture every move. Combined with image stabilisation, OZO spatial audio and wind noise cancellation for videos, the Nokia 5.4 is perfectly suited for today’s busy lifestyles.

GreenAer, the Irish owned e-bike retailer, has announced significant expansion plans through its network of stores. The company is planning its first ever dedicated Cargo Bike-only outlet in Dublin following a surge in interest from both commercial customers and consumers in renewable forms of transport.
GreenAer currently operates three stores in Dublin, Mullingar, Cork. To meet this growing demand, GreenAer is also announcing plans for new retail premises in Dublin in addition to the Cargo Bike hub. E-bikes and eCargo bikes are the perfect solution to the Covid-19 era of living.
“There are predictions that the European e-bike market will triple within the next five years, and through its hard working sales team, GreenAer has already established itself as the market leader in Ireland. Every store in the network has reported exponential interest in e-bikes, and this further expansion will allow us to meet that growing demand in the months and years ahead.”
GreenAer’s new CargoBike store will allow the company to expand its bespoke solution service for business customers. The company already supplies CargoBikes to a number of commercial customers, and is contracted by An Post as its “last mile” vehicle and service provider. Working from home has become the new norm for many professionals. Thanks to modern online digital technology, many jobs have developed in a way that allows employees to work remotely from wherever they may be without having to spend long hours and lots of money on going back and forth from an office. If you are a professional who works from home, then you will need to think about how you can make your office a more comfortable space that promotes productivity and helps you become as creative and motivated as possible. Here are some modern ideas to help you spruce up your home office and bring it to life.
Allow Natural Light
One of the main factors affecting anyone’s productivity when they’re working from their home office is how much natural light they are getting exposed to. Sunlight has proven effects in making people feel more energetic and motivated to get any tasksdone effectively. That is why when you are trying to design or renovate your home office, make sure you allow natural light in by keeping any window space you have unblocked and placing your desk at an angle that gives you a good chance of connecting with the outside from the comfort of your chair. If you want, you can fix light curtains in front of the light source so that the sunlight does not get too intense at certain times yet you can still enjoy some natural light regardless.
Invest in Necessary Tech Gadgets
Modern home offices must have modern technological gadgets that allow professionals to get their work done easily from the comfort of their own houses. Depending on your particular professional field, you may find yourself needing different kinds of gadgets. However, some gadgets are common essentials that should be found in any home office including a fast computer, KEF LS50 sound system, and a smart desk that allows you to connect all your appliances easily. Doing some research is important before you invest in just any gadget or smart device so that you can get the best quality products out there for a reasonable price.
Add Greenery
When it comes to sprucing up your home office, nothing can make the place look and feel more lively than adding greenery around your desk space. If you are a busy bee who does not have enough time to take care of real plants, you can always get fake plant displays to place around your office and get the same beautifying results without all the hassle. However, if you are passionate about gardening and want a side hobby to keep you occupied when you are not working, then getting real plants and colorful flowers to grow indoors within your home office can make all the difference in the world.
Get Artistic
Designing your own home office can give you a chance to unleash your inner artist and get as creative as you want. Consider using different colors in your furniture or even on the walls by getting a repaint job done. You can also think about hanging wall art or displaying some of your favorite pictures on the walls or on aesthetic-looking shelves. Adding some accessory elements around the office space can also be a good idea, pieces like small throw cushions or patterned rugs can totally add some texture and life to your work environment and help you stay motivated.
Invest in Space-Saving Solutions
A common issue that often faces professionals who work from home is that their offices can get too chaotic with different paperwork and folders lost around the space. In order to keep your home office a productive space where you feel motivated to work, consider adding space-saving solutions like modern cabinets or desks with numerous drawers where you can store all your files and folders without having to deal with the chaos, added cworkshop.co.uk, who provide high-quality products and services to furniture makers, interior designers, and general builders, with a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
Having a home office where you can get all your work done on a daily basis comes with numerous perks; you get to work more comfortably and have a lot more flexibility than you would in a corporate office. However, in order to be as productive as possible in your home office, you will need to make sure your home office is designed practically and has everything you can possibly need to get your professional tasks done. Make sure you do some research before investing in any products for your office and do not be afraid to get a little creative and think outside the box with your designs.
In this day and age, even the way we pay has been impacted by technology. People prefer making online payments and card payments instead of having to carry cash around. It’s tough to blame them for doing so because having cash on hand is often too cumbersome especially for major purchases. Before we talk about its benefits, let’s dive deep into what it is. An e-money license is basically an authorization that allows an institute to develop products and services related to online payments and anything related to e-money. With today’s consumer license continuously shifting towards cashless transactions, it’s more important than ever to get licenses like these. Without it, your business will be left in the dust as others move forward with their ventures. Here are three major reasons why it’s worth getting an e-money license.
Comply With Regulatory Standards
There’s a reason why e-licenses are made. That is to ensure that companies are able to comply with the standards set by lawto protect people and their financial security online. As such, most governments actually require an e-license if you want to develop products and services related to online payments. Failure to get the license but proceeding to move forward with your plans can result in sanctions. In worst-case scenarios, you could end up getting your business license revoked or suspended. Most bodies that provide an e-money license will allow you to process the license quickly for your needs without having to go through a stressful process. For instance, this electronic money institution license in Lithuania makes the process easier through its connections. By partnering with the right agencies, they can guarantee that you go through the process of licensing in a fast but proper manner.
Before you apply for an e-money license, you should first ensure that you already have your mindset on what you want to do in the future. Getting an e-money license is not free so if you’re going to waste it, there’s no getting back your money and time spent on getting the license.
People Prefer Cashless Transactions More
On the topic of what you can do with an e-money license, is it really worth starting a project based on e-money technology? The short answer is yes – it is worth it. The long answer is that cashless transactions are becoming more popular so products and services tied to them are only going to be more useful in the future. Since the pandemic began, people have come closer to relying on digital money. There are many benefits to becoming a cashless society. One is that in times of a pandemic such as this one, it lessens the amount of direct contact we make with people. It’s not really surprising that the surge in online transactions rose at this time. That being said, there is a future that comes with creating products and services that revolve around e-money. An e-money license is one of the foundations of creating such innovations.
Gain The Trust Of The Public
People value their financial security, be online or in their actual wallet. If you are hoping to create a product for e-money, the one thing that people will question you on is the integrity and security of the product you have created. Instead of telling them that it is, SHOW them that it is. One of the ways you can gain the trust of the people with a new product that revolves around money is by showing them the proper licenses and authorizations surrounding your business. An e-money license will remove a huge chunk of the doubts they have about your product or service. Some people believe that online transactions are safer than offline ones. However, this doesn’t mean that people no longer have any doubts about the online world. Understandably, people have a lot to worry about online because news of data breaches and hacks is still pretty common. It is your duty to cast their doubts away. Getting an e-money license is not easy and you should expect your business to be weighed heavily. Once people see that you have an e-money license, they’ll feel more safe and secure about you. The times are changing and so should you. E-money is going to be the future of all financial transactions so it is only imperative that you get the right licenses and authorizations to support your journey. There are more merits to getting the license and these three are the top reasons why it’s time you work towards getting that license.
For the past 15 years, billions of people have turned to Google Earth to explore our planet from endless vantage points. You might have peeked at Mount Everest or flown through your hometown. Since launching Google Earth, they have focused on creating a 3D replica of the world that reflects our planet in magnificent detail with features that both entertain and empower everyone to create positive change.
In the biggest update to Google Earth since 2017, you can now see our planet in an entirely new dimension — time. With Timelapse in Google Earth, 24 million satellite photos from the past 37 years have been compiled into an interactive 4D experience. Now anyone can watch time unfold and witness nearly four decades of planetary change.
Our planet has seen rapid environmental change in the past half-century — more than any other point in human history. Many of us have experienced these changes in our own communities; For other people, the effects of climate change feel abstract and far away, like melting ice caps and receding glaciers. With Timelapse in Google Earth, have a clearer picture of our changing planet right at our fingertips — one that shows not just problems but also solutions, as well as mesmerizingly beautiful natural phenomena that unfold over decades.
To explore Timelapse in Google Earth, go to g.co/Timelapse — you can use the handy search bar to choose any place on the planet where you want to see time in motion.
Or open Google Earth and click on the ship’s wheel to find Timelapse in our storytelling platform, Voyager, to see interactive guided tours. We’ve also uploaded more than 800 Timelapse videos in both 2D and 3D for public use at g.co/TimelapseVideos. You can select any video you want as a ready-to-use MP4 video or sit back and watch the videos on YouTube. From governments and researchers to publishers, teachers and advocates, we’re excited to see how people will use Timelapse in Google Earth to shine a light on the issues facing our planet.
See the difference the Suruí people have made through their protection of the Amazon rainforest they call home in Rondônia, Brazil
Understand the causes of Earth’s change Google worked with experts at Carnegie Mellon University’s CREATE Lab to create the technology behind Timelapse, and we worked with them again to make sense of what we were seeing.
Timelapse in Google Earth shows the rapid change on our planet in context through five thematic stories, for example the retreat of the Columbia Glacier in Alaska.
Putting time on Earth in the palm of our hand
Making a planet-sized timelapse video required a significant amount of what they call “pixel crunching” in Earth Engine, Google’s cloud platform for geospatial analysis. To add animated Timelapse imagery to Google Earth, Google gathered more than 24 million satellite images from 1984 to 2020, representing quadrillions of pixels. It took more than two million processing hours across thousands of machines in Google Cloud to compile 20 petabytes of satellite imagery into a single 4.4 terapixel-sized video mosaic — that’s the equivalent of 530,000 videos in 4K resolution! And all this computing was done inside our carbon-neutral, 100% renewable energy-matched data centers, which are part of their commitments to help build a carbon-free future.
As far as we know, Timelapse in Google Earth is the largest video on the planet, of our planet. And creating it required out-of-this-world collaboration. This work was possible because of the U.S. government and European Union’s commitments to open and accessible data. Not to mention their herculean efforts to launch rockets, rovers, satellites and astronauts into space in the spirit of knowledge and exploration. Timelapse in Google Earth simply wouldn’t have been possible without NASA and the United States Geological Survey’s Landsat program, the world’s first (and longest-running) civilian Earth observation program, and the European Union’s Copernicus program with its Sentinel satellites.
An inside look at Google Earth. With mountains, valleys, buildings and more, Timelapse videos are draped over our planet using advanced 3D graphics rendering techniques. At any given moment, the correct videos for your location, view angle and zoom-level are seamlessly stitched together on the fly to compose Timelapse in Google Earth, updated as you pan, zoom and explore.
24 million satellite images from 1984 to 2020 were analysed, and we identified and removed artefact’s in the imagery, like clouds. We then computed a single representative pixel for every location on the planet, and for every year from 1984-2020 to produce our global, cloud-free Timelapse experience.
Timelapse also reveals beautiful natural geologic processes, such as the beach sands of Cape Cod slowly shifting south. This footprint of time is captured in our featured locations collection, “Mesmerizing Changes.”
What will you do with Timelapse?
Google Earth invites anyone to take Timelapse into their own hands and share it with others — whether you’re marvelling at changing coastlines, following the growth of megacities, or tracking deforestation. Timelapse in Google Earth is about zooming out to assess the health and well-being of our only home, and is a tool that can educate and inspire action.
Visual evidence can cut to the core of the debate in a way that words cannot and communicate complex issues to everyone. Take for example the work of Liza Goldberg who plans to use Timelapse imagery to teach climate change. Or the 2020 award-winning documentary “Nature Now” that uses satellite imagery to show humanity’s growing footprint on the planet.
Timelapse for the next decade to come
In collaboration with our partners, we’ll update Google Earth annually with new Timelapse imagery throughout the next decade. We hope that this perspective of the planet will ground debates, encourage discovery and shift perspectives about some of our most pressing global issues.
