The Jabra Stealth Bluetooth Headset design (colours) may or may not be to all taste, however this is a solid build quality. The design is simplistic, necessitating the need for a variety of buttons to clutter the functionality on the headset. There are no volume buttons and the front of the unit has the answer and end-call buttons on the front of the headset in easy reach with the voice control button on the bottom of the headset.
Features:
Approx. 2 hours to recharge the headset
Micro USB hidden under the port protector
Different sized ear gels to fit your ears
Can be worn on the left or the right ear
Great battery life
Lightweight
3 buttons and a single lead
Android NFC option to pair the unit
Noise isolation
App: Jabra Assist is a smartphone app that enables GPS tracking of the headset, pairing assistance, and headset battery status. Android download – Google Play, iOS download – App Store.
Warranty:A limited one-year warranty applies to all Jabra mobile products purchased from an authorised reseller.
Connect to phone:
The connection to a smart phone is standard; Press and hold (3 secs) the Answer/End button until the Bluetooth indicator flashes blue, and pairing mode is announced in the headset. The voice-guided pairing instructions are then followed. Near-field communication (NFC) in a smart phone can also be used by enabling the NFC, then slowly slide the NFC zone of the headset against the NFC zone of the mobile device until a connection is confirmed.
One advantage of the mono earpiece is the awareness of the surroundings when on a call or listening to music, (watch someone unfamiliar singing or talking very loudly when they have two earphones plugged in). The Jabra Stealth headset is secure and comfortable when in use while also has the requirement you would expect from Jabra i.e. good audio quality and noise cancelling technology.
I have a good main TV in the house and having said that the sound at times is not the best depending on what you are viewing and what you have connected to your TV, Soundbars are getting popular and having tested this one out I can see why and to begin with it has some bass, so bass fans will love it.
The build quality to begin with is excellent given its white it’s not for grubby hands though but it can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth, Ours almost blended in with the wall and mantlepiece which is where I placed it right under my TV which could replace a sub-woofer easily which I have a system already in place with one included but it will not fill the entire room with sound which was my only fault I could have with it as it is not overly loud with a 30 MAX setting, It could have been louder but overall the sound is excellent. The best mode of the limited choice is Music Mode but if using your phone as a source you can change the sound experience.
The SubZero III can be either placed under your tv depending on your set up or wall mounted so you are not stuck for choice and nobody is saying stick it under your TV because you can also use it to play music from your phone Via Bluetooth if you like or whatever is on your TV or what you might be streaming via your laptop.. There is a 90 degree HDMI adapter which is hand for tight spaces or set up restrictions.
IT ALSO COMES IN BLACK
There is 4 pods underneath so you can place it on the floor or cabinet this will vary per ones set-up at home and which room they might put it into, smaller rooms would reap the benefits more so than a large room but you will be still impressed with its punch for the price you pay.

Whats on the soundbar
1 / 10
Overall this speaker looks great and does a good job however it will not blow the ears off you considered its size but as a companion piece for your TV it has better output and plays all music and more extremely well, also for set up it could not be easier either with a simple I/O layout on the rear tucked away nicely in a grooved out space, though depending on your setup at home you may need that 90 degree adaptor which is quite handy.
There are obvious similarities to a military plane using stealth technology design with the Nighthawk s8000, which looks great and is solid. This has zinc-alloy housing for durability with a soft-touch no-slip base and the switch looks in place in a home / bedroom as compared to many industrial looking units.
Box Contains:
1 x Nighthawk S8000 Gaming and Streaming 8 Port Advanced Gigabit Ethernet Switch (GS808E)
AC power adapter (localised to country of sale)
Quick Installation guide
Note: The unit does not come with any network cables.
Features:
Cool-touch premium zinc-alloy housing for durability and looks and has a soft-touch no-slip base
Ideal for multi-user online/VR gaming and 4K HD video/media streaming
Low latency for utmost gaming experience
Three levels of network traffic prioritisation and QoS management for ultra-high performance
IGMP snooping support for multicast operation
Note: Most residential router supplied by your ISP will have 4 port switches while the Nighthawk s8000 is listed an 8-port switch, but you can only have 7 additional ports and one is connected to your router.
Warranty: 3-year warranty
Basic Setup:
The Netgear – Nighthawk s8000 can be plugged into your router and used to connect to your smart TV / PC etc. with no setup required. This would work the same as a dump / unmanaged switch albeit more expensive than the norm. The basic advantage of the Nighthawk S8000 would be to reduce the router load in analysing and forwarding data packets between computer networks therefore increasing the speed.
Advanced Setup:
Once you are logged into the Nighthawk S8000 Managed switch, you have the option to set priority of the ports e.g. port 3 media servers to a high priority with others to a low priority. This may be important if the unit is connected in the home / small office with a business PC / application required priority as the data will be sent first from high priority port, with the others on a lower priority. This is different to your normal unmanaged dumb switch as compared to this managed switch. The setup to achieve this higher priority is easy from the Netgear menu.
There is also an option to rate limit each port, to control how fast they are and how much allowed. You can have higher bandwidth to your preference choice / applications port / PC. If you have fibre broadband of 100Mbs, some ports could be reduced to 8Mbs especially if juniors are in the house. The port can transmit up to 1000 Mbs (giga bit connection) while the general top speeds available for residential customer is 360 Mb for the UK & Ireland.
To access the switch from a computer and discover the IP address of the switch:
The manual is short and while not complicated, getting to the IP Address could confuse some if unfamiliar with internal IP address, or range of IP addresses. It is advised to open Windows Explorer and follow a few steps or Safari browser for a Mac.
Windows Set up
Default Password – Password
Menu
Menu – Prioritisation
Menu – to test cable
Menu -Pre-sets
Terminology here may be confusing to a non-gamer, reference on Link Aggregation
Gaming:
There is an obvious advantage for gamers as connecting your PC via Wi-Fi will result in a higher latency and can cause delays in a game where speed is paramount. Priority can be set to assist for specific ports as required.
LED Lights:
The switch at the rear turns off the blinking LED. These can also be turned off via the network. Unfortunately, the front blue lights which look good in the beginning can be annoying if used in a bedroom and cannot be turned off. If these could be turned off there would be no way to know if the system was operational or not.
Is it worth it compared to a “dumb/ unmanaged” switch?
The difference between a budget switch and the Netgear – Nighthawk s8000 other than the brand and build quality would be the features to control the ports priority & speed.
Often the managed switches are used by large professionally for managed networks for advanced management features and/or reliability. You can link aggregation, 4 times faster, e.g. you can link ports 1 to 4 together to connect to work in parallel, the connecting product must have the same switches to match the ports for increased bandwidth. You can control, the prioritization of the ports. Some expensive router can do this prioritization, generally the main routers as supplied by your ISP would not have the technology. The Nighthawk s8000 managed switch is designed for gaming & streaming, reducing the workload of your router given faster response times. The Nighthawk S8000 brings low latency, traffic and port prioritisation, and Quality of Service (QoS) management in high-demanding online/VR gaming and media streaming. If speed is your thing, gaming or ease of use, then it’s worth it.
The tablet may be geared towards kids but anyone can use it to be fair and if its anything like its smaller brother the 7 inch model it lasted my daughter over two years with only the Micro USB port worn down. It has had many drops and falls too and the fact it came with two bumpers in the package it really helps and save you looking for one which you probably wont find.
UNBOXING THE ARGOS ALBA 10 INCH 16GB TABLET
Again this tablet offers much the same with build quality and features and this time around it comes with pre-installed kids protection which is good to see. You are of course entitled to download your own or use your providers if you will but this is easy to use and set up out of the box, The tablet is robust and has many I/Os so all needs are catered for, Camera is not the best in the world but its a tablet.
We would recommend buying an SD card as the 1GB RAM will eventually slow you down, but keeping apps and games limited as any decent parent would do you will be fine, this is my second tablet with similar specs and has ran perfectly fine, other than that for the money you can’t go wrong if you want the tablet for basic use but nothing heavy, Check out the video review below and if you have any questions fire away.

I love headphones and have a pretty nice collection and today we are here to check out the Jabra Vega headphones with ANC which are really nice and come Dolby.
Presentation is excellent as is always with Jabra products and they come in the typcial yellow and black packaging that is easily identifieable and you know whom the prodcut is from immedialtey. And as always there is lots of information on the exterior of the box to let you know what you are getting.
Inside is padded which is great mainly for protection and transportation but nonetheless its good solid packaging, We also get instructions, cables and a carry case which is good to see for storage purposes be it at home of for when not in use which will keep the dirt at bay.
Build quality here once again is great, they have a robust headband covered in their soft rubber material which is easy to keep clean and is soft to touch and it also feels nice and is comfortable to wear even for long periods of time.
The cups on the Vega are really nice and overears so you are already blocking out most of the exterior noise then you have the ANC factor on top of this to give you crisp clear sound without distration and should you need to know whats going on there is an eavesdrop feature on the right cup which you just tap to turn on and off which is handy especially in an office or open space environment and you need to talk to a colleauge for example.
Given they are not bluetooth it might put some off though for me I use both wired and wireless Jabra prodcuts so its not really an issue for me but some have their own choice method. Having said that it means less to fumble with and keeps controls to a minimn which is a good thing, they are powered by one AAA battery which is included you will be happy to hear. Yeah I know some folk moan about the little things and they are probably right, the last thing you want to do is go searching for that battery.
Controls as I said are minimal yet simple and easy to navigate, There is one toggle thats it, This will light up to let you know you have ANC on but they do switch off when you fold them over which is great they do not however fold inward like many headsets due to their construction and the cups fold sideways instead, not really a big deal anyway.
The sound quality is great as expected from Jabra and the fact these isolate external noise without having ANC on its a good start, the ANC only makes the experince better again. All sounds with mids, highs and lows reproduce very well hear and gives a great audio experience turned up to the max especially in a really quite environment. This can be also said if its a busy environment with ANC active and as I said the eavesdrop button which you just tap can let you into the conversation with ease. You can share your music experience too with a DUAL JACK set up,one on each cup which is need though this would be probably best used be it on a plane or perhaps travelling.
Overall I really like these, they are a not heavy either and can be worn for long periods keeping comfortable on the head, the cups as mentioned are really comfortable which for me is important as I like to keep headphones on for long periods of time at home be it in bed or just having a lazy day and using VR headsets for example. They also stand out and look nice with the big cups and I love the orange audio cable that comes with them which is really nice and different to the norm and has a one button piece on it again keeping things simple.
We have featured many products from Urbanista and today we check out the NEW YORK Dark Clown headphones with ANC which has recently hit the market. These are really comfortable to wear even for long periods and come equipped with all you need, the padding on the cups are really comfortable and isolate much of the exterior noise alone without the need for the new ANC feature which is now becoming a thing with headphones and more popular due to the idea behind it, these cans are not aimed for those at an office environment or anything like that but can be worn anywhere and the added ANC really helps if you are one to look for a particular style, You might have office headphones but you can simply swap if preferred to get the extra features if your own office ones do not have ANC.
Some though prefer not to use this feature so they are semi aware of their surroundings but everyone is different and if you are at home or in a quite environment you will understand more as to the benefits of isolating exterior sound fully.
Control are simple to use and easy to use as they are raised slightly from the cups and even blindly you will be able to simply navigate, the toggle too are perfect and overall you will have no issues finding your way around in no time.
The build quality is as before its solid and robust, they do look plain in this colour but plain is not a bad thing, They are easy to keep clean a damp cloth is all you would need even underneath the headband which has a really nice rubber texture is simple to maintain and also comfortable.
Sound is great, much better than similar models thanks to the ANC mostly all genres I played highs, mids and lows where crisp and clear and had good bass so I was pleased to hear they have improved over past variations and they really pack a punch and are loud which is what I personally prefer.
We have more to come from Urbanista in our review section so stay tuned for those and check these out right HERE or on https://www.urbanista.com/
This is a strap to be short but its got something quite different and offers something new via haptic feedback via two boxes if you will placed on the strap which can be worn in several ways so it’s not a mandatory fixture or set up just like a VR headset for example which this works quite good with too if you are into that thing, If you like music, gaming and VR you need to try it more so to get what this feeling is like, It’s new its different, its good.. But perhaps niche…..For now..
UNBOXING WOOJER STRAP
Set Up is simple and there is an app you should download both on Android and iOS so before going any further get the apps as these control feedback and the app is pretty clean and neat with a simple to use UI which also allows you to share your status via social media if you wish to do so.
The app also allows you to control the music just like a typical music player on a mobile phone and it’s another option other than the controls on the unit itself which are simple and easy to use and also easy to navigate blindly once you get set up and use to using it. The app will give you the choice of ear pods, On-Ear and In -Ears to pick from on the top and you can look through your music library to from the top right, The hamburger menu gives you some other options.
Once you are all set up and what you want to set up be it gaming,VR music or video you are then good to go and feel what happens next, this is not for everyone to be honest and I was a bit optimistic about it when I first seen it and what it can actually do and to be fair it makes things better than the bog standard norm and brings life to whatever it is you might be doing.
This is effectively is like a subwoofer for your body which you can control the intensity so each person might be different on what they can take and limited for VR use but they have a vest which looks really neat and its something more down my street for a complete set up and more immersive experience in VR. Having tried this in several positions its hard to say which is best but what is important is that it brings something totally new here and with their future products coming to market they will change the bog standard experience an I would like to see this working on AR too rather than VR.
It is however a tad bulky but especially when wearing both headphones and a VR unit but its not that heavy and you could say it feels like a backpack strap on you for a bit and the adjustable straps can be moved to suit your preference depending which way you wear it ,You will know its there it does not wear off easily and that does not really matter because of what it does, As it’s a first gen product things can only get better and these are the guys to bring something new for everyone and not just folks into music but the gaming and VR world too and its good to see.. I like the idea and the their products and look forward to what is coming from them in the future to give me something more than I and we have been use to for a long time, this opens doors and they have the products the change the boring norm for its intended market.
Traditional digital cordless phones have come along way from their introduction while often lag Smartphones in technology. The BT8500 Advanced Call Blocker has one feature that surpasses the smartphone straight from the box. The TrueCall call blocking technology allows blocking of nuisance calls with one button.
The unit looks modern with a glossy black design which is comfortable to hold. The buttons are large and easily viewed or pressed. The handset sits snuggly into the base set or can stand upright on the table.
Note: The unit comes with a BT Telephone cord, but an Ireland adapter or cord are easily purchased inexpensively.

4 / 6
Setup / Warranty / Support:
The BT 8500 hardware setup is uncomplicated; plug in the base, switch on the handset for the first time, then a series of on-screen prompts guide you through the setup process. There was the option to skip some steps and return later. The BT quick start guide gave clear concise instructions on the use of this product. The unit comes with a one-year warranty (which is disappointing for a quality product) with UK support via freephone number 0800 145 6789, there is also email support.
Call blocker:
The BT8500 Advanced Call Blocker used TrueCall, if the contact numbers are not stored in the phonebook it will ask the caller to leave a message with their details saying who they are. The phone alerts you to the caller and their message (the caller is put on hold). The call can be accepted with the option to store as a confirmed friendly number, thus ringing as normal in the future. This feature can confuse friends and family initially, I would recommend storing as many contact numbers in your phone initially to prevent friends and family having to state their name on the phone. Alternatively, you can request the caller’s details blocked permanently or the option to advise the caller you are not available. Unsolicited caller numbers can easily be blocked with over 1000 numbers.
You have the option to:
Block by Number
Block by call type, for example, mobile, international, withheld, unavailable or
payphone numbers can all be blocked.
Do Not Disturb
A nice feature in the phone is, when a call starts ringing, you can block it straight away by pressing Block on the screen. That number will then be added to your blocked list. These features can be switched on / off as required.
Note: Caller ID is required to use the call blocker option.
BASE
Text messaging:
Text messaging must be a feature available on your phone to send and receive text messages, text messages are not available in Ireland.
If choosing an option, the twin set is ideal leaving one handset in the kitchen and one in the bedroom, allowing the freedom to take calls from either or use as an intercom. This model can be got as a single, twin, trio or quad packs should you need additional handsets for other rooms. There is no additional wiring required for the additional handsets and you can save up to 200 contacts which can be auto transferred to the other handsets.
The phone menu structure is straightforward, accessing the menu allows features to be turned off or on as required. The phone has all the features you would expect and more. A list of who’s called (up to 50 incoming and 30 outgoing calls), answer machine, option to hear who’s calling you before you answer, choose how many rings you want before the machine picks up, hands-free speaker and speed dial.
The phone has excellent call quality, a 1.8 inch full-graphic seven-line easy-to-read colour screen with a backlit keypad to see the keys at any time of day. If you’re plagued with countless of cold calls, then this phone is certainly a phone to be considered. Once you become familiar with the call blocking options, it’s hard to go back to a traditional phone.

Setup, Support, & warranty,
The Setup is straightforward with minimal technology knowledge required. Download the app or click on the QR code to download the app. The initial setup on the smartphone and web took less than 10 minutes. The physically camera setup and networking takes minutes, but the positioning of the cameras required a higher skill knowledge. If the physical camera setup is done improperly, then there is a deterioration in battery life, quality, and motion detection can become a problem. There is an excellent Arlo Community support search option of FAQ which allowed questions asked, via the community of customers and experts. https://community.netgear.com/t5/Arlo-Smart-Home-Security/ct-p/Arlo
This Netgear Arlo Pro is backed by a Netgear limited 1-year hardware warranty. 24/7 basic technical support provided for 90 days from purchase date, when purchased from a Netgear authorised reseller. The 1-year warranty is a disappointment for the Netgear product.
Requirements: Note there is an internet requirement of a minimum 1Mbps upstream recommended and an available port on the router.
The App: The Arlo app has downloads of approx. 1 million with a rating of 4.1 out of 5. The app gives clear instructions for the unit’s setup. The app allows viewing on the cameras live or during motion detect.

Video Storage: The Netgear Arlo Pro comes with a free storage option which allowed storage for 1 week for motion detect. This can be upgraded at a cost to other storage options increasing time limits or space available. There is an option to use an external USB drive max of 2TB connected directly to the base station. This has the advantage of dual storage, in case the camera system was stolen data is stored on the cloud, In the event of an external internet issues, local storage would be good. As a guideline using the best quality video settings, one hour of recordings is approximately 180 MB. Files
Video footage Library on cloud storage:
Battery:
The 2440mAh rechargeable batteries are supplied fully charged which is great to get up and running quickly. Over 1 week with motion used only, the battery dropped from 100% to 90% indication a great battery life. There is an option for solar power charging. The video quality effects the battery life, setting the unit to best video quality reduces the battery life, whereas setting it to best battery life may reduce video quality. Battery life varies based on settings, usage, & temperature. Plugging in the camera via a USB lead recharges the battery, and allows you more features, including activity zones, video analytics, continuous video recording (CVR) plan, and the look back feature.
Wall mounts: The magnetic ball mount supplied was the best I have seen, no more struggling to fit a bracket on the wall then tighten the screws to ensure accurately focussing on the required area. The Netgear Arlo Pro camera snaps onto the magnetic ball mount which in turn is screwed to a wall. The camera can be adjusted easily to any angle via the magnet. There is also the option of Table and Ceiling Mount.
Modes: There are customised options available via the web site and phone app. The motion detect default is setup for push notifications to your smartphone, sending email alerts. This worked great, but I had to disable this feature due to motion alerts during the night causing the smartphone alerts. There are options to schedule the alerts during the week with options for each day / night. Turning off the alerts / push notification took minutes to find out how to via the support section.
Overview: The unit required little technical knowledge, (no internal networking, port- forwarding, App configuration) can be used indoor or outdoor ,Weather-resistant IP65 rating. There is no wiring required as wireless, the option to view on line via a laptop or smartphone. The app is a great app with no major bugs observed, (a slight lag in actual motion to video footage). There is the option to use the free service or upgrade to the paid subscriptions, or external storage up to 2TB. The battery option allowed great flexibility in choice of fitting location. The Video resolution was great, configurable up to 1280 x 720, with night vision similar due to 850 nm LEDs: illuminates up to 25 feet.
The wire-free options allow flexibility in use if used on a Farm calving camera, Monitor vehicle outside your property, ability to fit a camera without the need for wires, option to move the camera around as required.
Overall this unit was a pleasant surprise, the footage quality was excellent both day and night. Slightly let down with only a 1 year’s warranty. The wireless and battery option having to run no wires was a great bonus allowing the unit to be moved as required. This unit will not fulfil all user requirements due idiosyncrasies and limitations in term of features but this unit without a doubt will fulfil most requirement for most people without the need for highly expertise knowledge. This is an impressive practical CCTV system.
