Avoid being stranded in your car this winter

With batteries being the number one reason for breakdown recovery call outs, followed by tyres, a leading automotive supplier is advising drivers how they can solve these issues themselves and avoid a breakdown.

As the colder weather sets in and motorists face darker mornings, icy conditions and the Christmas getaway automotive supplier, Ring Automotive, is urging drivers to invest in tools that will help prevent them from having to call a recovery service.

Data analysed from some of the biggest names in the breakdown recovery industry, including the RAC, AA, Green Flag and Admiral, show that batteries are unanimously the number one reason for breakdown callouts* with the second most common reason being issues with tyres.

In winter, batteries are even more vulnerable, as cold temperatures reduce their performance and cars are often left standing for longer in freezing conditions. A flat battery usually just needs a jump start, so the best thing for a driver to keep in their vehicle is a portable jump starter. This means no need to rely on another vehicle and the driver can rescue themselves in a matter of minutes.

ULTRABOOST 1500 (RJS030) is Ring Automotive’s most advanced jump starter and is capable of jump starting vehicles with up to 6L petrol and 3L diesel engines, which means it’s suitable for most 12V cars, vans, SUVs and LCVs. Included in the jump starter is the ULTRABOOST button, which when pressed delivers enough power to start completely flat batteries.

Another common reason for calling a breakdown service is for a flat or severely underinflated tyre. In autumn and winter the roads become more treacherous with the rain, ice and possible snow, meaning it is more important than ever to optimise grip on the road. While there are many who still go to a fuel forecourt to top up the air in their tyres, savvy drivers are now keeping a tyre inflator in their cars to avoid these problems.

The ULTRAINFLATE 30 is designed for speed and ease of use. It is capable of inflating a tyre from flat in just two minutes**. It has a longer wind up cable at 3.5m and a 70cm long hose with a large brass connector for a secure fit. It has auto stop technology, as well as a large digital display screen.

Marketing Director for Ring, Henry Bisson, said: “We have seen many reasons for people calling a recovery company, but for something like a flat battery or tyre, drivers can solve these issues themselves. We’ve created products that are easy to use and can be used multiple times, so even in a stressful situation, drivers can get back on the road in a timely manner. We encourage everyone to keep a jump starter and tyre inflator in their boot, they’re compact enough that they won’t take up much room and can get you back on the road much quicker than waiting potentially hours for a recovery service.”

Codex launches pioneering neuroinclusive workplace range

Codex, Ireland’s leading B2B provider of office supplies and solutions, has launched a new range of neuroinclusive workplace products designed to help Irish employers provide a more inclusive working environment for employees.

The ‘Thrive by Codex x AsIAm’ product range consisting of 34 Autism friendly products, were developed and tested in collaboration with AsIAm, Ireland’s  Autism charity in real workplace settings and were launched on the opening day of the Autism Europe Congress in Dublin, of which Codex is a platinum sponsor.

With the launch of its new neuroinclusive product range, Codex has become a leading advocate for the acceptance of neurodivergent employees and the need for more inclusive working environments. The company published a report earlier this year – ‘Neuroinclusion in the Workplace’ – which highlighted some of the daily challenges for neurodivergent employees including sensitivity to noise and light as well as issues with communication and social interaction.

With the findings from the report and the research that was carried out,  Codex has been working with AsIAm to launch its new range of products designed to foster a more inclusive and adaptive working environment. The centrepiece of the new range are bespoke,  AsIAm endorsed  ‘Balance Booths’ that allow employees to physically remove themselves from the noise and bustle of the work environment while remaining connected to their teams. ‘The Balance Booths’ have been designed with unique sensory features to provide further regulation opportunities, including tactile ridged dots on the underside of the table for sensory input, a fresh air feature, and coloured lights.

Other items in the new range include an acoustic lounge chair that provides a private, semi-enclosed space for employees who need to detach from the busy work environment and a range of office seats, stools and chairs including the ‘Swopper’, Numo Task chair and Variable kneeling chair that promote movement, which is vital to cognitive development and can also help employees to regulate and maintain focus.

The full neuroinclusive workplace product range is on display at the Autism Europe Congress in the RDS, which is being hosted by AsIAm and Autism Europe and where Codex is a platinum sponsor and exhibitor. Attendees at the 3-day event can try out the new pods and chairs for themselves and talk to members of Codex’s speciality Furniture and Interiors team about the products.

“We’re proud and excited to launch this groundbreaking range of neuroinclusive products that will help Irish employers and companies to build truly inclusive workplaces for their employees,” said Patrick Murphy, CEO of Codex and a keynote speaker at this week’s Autism Europe Congress in Dublin’s RDS.

“The new range has been developed in response to our own research, which found that many traditional workplace designs and social expectations can create unnecessary barriers for neurodivergent employees,” Mr Murphy said. “We were also delighted to be able to consult with our partners at AsIAm, who provided real-world insights and experience that helped to shape the new product offerings.

“We hope these new products will help pave the way for employers and employees to have a positive conversation about workplace inclusivity, starting here at the Autism Europe Congress,” Mr Murphy added.

Codex is already trusted by a range of organisations including universities and private sector companies to deliver products that support neurodivergent people. The company’s ‘Neuroinclusion in the Workplace’ report highlights ways in which employers can improve the everyday experience for neurodivergent employees or students.

“We welcome the launch of Codex’s neuroinclusive workplace range and are proud to have contributed to the development of these products, which are accessible and inclusive by design,” said Adam Harris, CEO of AsIAm “It is fitting that the new product range is being launched here at the 14th International Autism Europe Congress in Dublin and I’m sure ‘The Balance Booth’ and other products will be a big talking point among delegates.”

Game Changing Potential of GenAI and Innovative Data Storage

Artificial intelligence (AI) is not long just a buzzword, but a pivotal force driving unprecedented business transformation and growth. The technology is fundamentally reshaping how businesses in Ireland operate, innovate, and compete. According to the Dell Innovation Catalyst Study, 76% of organisations based in Ireland are already considering AI and GenAI a key part of their business strategy, with 84% reporting substantial ROI and productivity gains from adopting these technologies. Moreover, 66% of Irish organisations are at early to mid-stage in their AI and GenAI adoption journey, while 90% see strong opportunities to leverage Agentic AI within their business operations. Ivor Buckley, Field CTO at Dell Technologies Ireland and Northern Ireland tells us more.

However, there are complexities involved with fully harnessing the power of GenAI. To build and train GenAI models, organisations need vast amounts of information. In turn, these same models also generate vast quantities of data to go back into the business. So, the question each business leader must ask before embracing AI and GenAI is: are our storage solutions up to the task?

The solution is scalable, secure, and economically sound data architecture that will set apart the organisations simply running in the AI race, and those leading it.

Storage solutions for the GenAI age

For GenAI to be successfully deployed, organisations must rethink, rearchitect and optimise their storage to effectively manage GenAI’s hefty data management requirements. By doing so, organisations will avoid a potential slowdown in processes due to inadequate or improperly designed storage.

The reality is that traditional storage systems are already struggling to keep pace with the explosion of data, and as GenAI systems advance and tackle new, more complex tasks the requirements will only increase. In other words, storage platforms must be aligned with the more complex realities of unstructured data, also known as qualitative data, and the emerging needs of GenAI.

In fact, unstructured data accounts for over 90% of the data created each year – largely due to a rise in human generated data, meaning the sphere is made up of cluttered and muddled columns of analysis. Enterprises need new ways to cost-effectively store data of this scale and complexity, while still providing easy and quick access to it and protecting it against cyber criminals. Unstructured data specifically is of interest to hackers, due to its value and sheer volume.

Organizations are seeking to enhance how they manage data—whether it’s moving, accessing, scaling, or safeguarding it. In the pursuit of rapid improvement, many have adopted solutions that store data across several public cloud platforms. While these public cloud environments can deliver immediate benefits, such as increased flexibility and availability, they often introduce longer-term complications.

Over time, organizations may face rising costs associated with moving data into and out of different clouds, heightened security risks, and challenges when attempting to optimize their data across these disparate environments. For generative AI to reach its full potential, it requires straightforward, reliable access to quality data; unfortunately, strategies that prioritize public cloud only adoption above all else frequently struggle to meet these requirements.

Organisations should instead look to adopt a multicloud by design approach. This will help them unlock the full potential of multicloud in the short and long-term, without being constrained by siloed ecosystems of proprietary tools and services. Multicloud by design brings management consistency to storing, protecting and securing data in multicloud environments.

Investing in new storage technologies

Businesses need new, novel approaches that cater to GenAI’s specific requirements and vast, diverse data sets. Some of these cutting-edge technologies include distributed storage, data compression and data indexing.

Distributed storage enhances the scalability and reliability of GenAI systems by housing data across multiple locations. For example, organisations can rapidly scale their storage needs across several nodes, should demand increase, as well as replicate their most critical data, allowing it to be vaulted in a separate location and easily retrieved in the event of a cyber-attack.

Another key concern facing many organisations is cost. However, this can be addressed in part through data compression.  By removing unwanted data through data compression methods, organisations can reduce their storage needs. This is achieved by more effectively analysing data and removing unnecessary information to achieve a more summarised version. This in turn reduces the amount of storage required by the organisation and consequently, saves on costs.

Data Indexing on the other hand improves retrieval capabilities, and search capabilities, speeding up training and operational efficiency. Together, these technologies enhance performance, efficiency, and cost-savings.

To fully capitalise on GenAI’s potential, Irish organisations must prioritise a solid storage foundation and effective data management strategy. This will be a key focus at the upcoming Dell Technologies Forum 2025 in Dublin, where business leaders will explore the infrastructure needed to seamlessly integrate AI and GenAI into their operations. Attendees will gain practical insights from Dell experts and hear first-hand about the latest developments in AI, multi-cloud, and other innovative technologies.

It’s clear that there are vast opportunities ahead for organisations to enhance productivity and drive transformation in the AI era. To ensure your business is ready to lead, register today for the Dell Technologies Forum 2025 and discover how to turn GenAI and data into a true competitive advantage.

The Dell Technologies Forum 2025 is run in collaboration with Intel, Microsoft and NVIDIA. For more information and to register for this event, click here.

AI BDRs: How Artificial Intelligence Is Transforming Sales Outreach

Sales has always been a numbers game, but the rules of the game are changing fast. Traditional outreach methods—cold calls, mass email blasts, and scripted pitches—are giving way to intelligent, data-driven strategies. At the center of this revolution is the AI BDR (Artificial Intelligence Business Development Representative), a solution designed to automate lead qualification, personalize communication, and scale outreach efforts like never before.

What Exactly Is an AI BDR?

In simple terms, an AI BDR is a digital agent that uses artificial intelligence to handle the repetitive but essential tasks of a human sales development representative. Instead of spending hours prospecting, qualifying leads, and following up manually, sales teams can let AI handle the heavy lifting.

The key difference is intelligence. Unlike old automated dialers or email systems, modern AI BDRs use natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and conversational AI to adapt to real human interactions. They don’t just deliver a message; they respond, learn, and guide prospects toward meaningful conversations with live sales reps.

Core Benefits of AI BDRs

  1. Scalability – An AI BDR can reach hundreds of leads at once, without fatigue or time limitations.
  2. Consistency – Every prospect receives the same level of attention and follow-up, eliminating human inconsistency.
  3. Personalization – By analyzing CRM data, past interactions, and buyer behavior, AI BDRs can craft messages that feel tailored, not generic.
  4. Faster Qualification – Unqualified leads are filtered out automatically, so sales reps spend time only on prospects with real potential.

From my experience, one of the greatest advantages is simply time. Sales teams that adopt AI BDRs often find they can shorten the sales cycle and close deals faster because their pipeline is better managed from the very start.

Real-World Applications

  • Voice AI Agents: AI BDRs powered by voice AI can hold natural conversations with prospects, answer basic questions, and set up meetings.
  • Email Outreach: Instead of static drip campaigns, AI systems analyze open rates, response tone, and engagement to send dynamic follow-ups.
  • CRM Integration: AI BDRs can plug into Salesforce, HubSpot, or custom CRMs to enrich profiles and provide reps with updated insights before calls.

Some companies even use AI BDRs as the first line of contact for inbound leads—qualifying interest, asking screening questions, and scheduling demos automatically.

Challenges to Consider

AI BDRs are not perfect. There are still hurdles that organizations must keep in mind:

  • Human Touch: Prospects dealing with high-value or complex solutions still want to speak with a real person at some stage.
  • Bias and Accuracy: AI systems are only as good as the data they are trained on. Poor data leads to poor outcomes.
  • Adoption Resistance: Sales reps may initially see AI as a threat rather than an ally, making training and change management critical.

The best implementations combine the speed and scalability of AI with the creativity and empathy of human sales teams.

The Future of Sales Outreach with AI

The trend is clear: sales organizations that embrace AI BDRs will have a competitive edge. Future developments will likely include:

  • Emotion Recognition: AI agents detecting frustration, excitement, or hesitation in a prospect’s tone.
  • Deeper Personalization: Outreach customized at an individual level, powered by richer behavioral data.
  • 24/7 Global Outreach: AI BDRs engaging with leads across time zones, ensuring no opportunity slips through.

Sales is evolving into a hybrid model where AI handles repetitive engagement while humans focus on closing and building relationships. That synergy, rather than competition, is what will define the next generation of sales success.

Final Thoughts

AI BDRs are more than a trend—they represent a fundamental shift in how sales teams operate. By combining automation, intelligence, and personalization, they transform outreach from a numbers-driven grind into a smart, scalable process that maximizes results.

And while sales teams explore AI to improve lead generation and qualification, other industries are finding creative applications too. For example, digital entertainment platforms show how AI-powered interactive experiences can redefine how people engage with content—a direction explored by projects on Yanina Games. It’s another reminder that AI isn’t just reshaping business—it’s reshaping how humans connect, learn, and play.

The WOLFANG Dash Cam Car Front & Rear 4K Dual Dash Cam is an affordable dash cam keeping you and you car protected whats more is this covers both front and rear which in my view is a must have for every vehicle owner no matter what type of vehicle is.

The Dash Cam also comes with a cool app that is easy to use which you will see in the full video review down below and see samples of the Dash Cam in action both day and night and front and rear cameras which is clear and the audio also excellent.

It takes a few minutes to install since you have a rear cam but once installed you just leave it there and let it do its job, there is on screen quick actions too such as Wi-Fi which you will need to connect to the app via your phone, you can also take images and videos on the fly and the same via the app.

The UI on the app is user friendly and the same on the WOLFANG dash cam itself and will take around 5 minutes to go through all the settings and set to your requirements.

There is a built on mic and speaker and GPS which shows a map of where incidents take place which is excellent and not often offered at this price point which is a win for me and anyone that picks one up. You can simply download the files from the gallery and even share once on your smartphone.

You can select different viewing options on the home screen which dual records no matter how you set it so you can have either just the front cam in action or both and in full or split screen which is quite handy I have mine set to both and the bigger picture being the front cam but as mentioned can be reversed.

Overall this delivers crystal clean images and video and even in poor lighting conditions delivers what it says is does meaning you have yourself covered if you get into an accident or someone tried to break into your car and is worth the money not many offer a complete package like this one does and worth the investment.

From Heartbreak to Bank Break Romance Fraud Tops €7m

Summer is over, routines are back, and for many, that means a return to the world of online dating. But with swipes and matches comes a growing risk: romance fraud.

Fraudsters are no longer just hiding behind stock images or stolen selfies. Increasingly, they’re using slick digital tricks from manipulated images to eerily convincing videos and even cloned voices to make themselves appear real. The aim is simple: build trust, exploit emotions, and walk away with hard-earned money.

According to Garda figures, 245 people have reported romance fraud since 2020, with average losses of approximately €28,500, adding up to well over €7 million stolen in total. In some of the most extreme cases, a woman lost over €450,000 across 18 separate transactions, while a man was defrauded of more than €380,000.

“Romance scams are different from other types of fraud because they’re built on emotional manipulation,” says George Foley of ESET Ireland. “People don’t just lose money; they lose trust, dignity, and often confidence in their relationships. The technology criminals are now using makes these scams even harder to spot, which is why awareness is vital.”

He explains that many victims only realise what has happened when it is far too late, because the scams are designed to feel real and to build trust over time. With more people expected to turn back to dating apps this autumn, he warns that the risk is only going to grow.
