Detection Technology expands the X-Scan T camera family

Detection Technology, a global leader in X-ray detector solutions, has expanded its X-Scan T camera family to address a wide range of industrial inspection needs. Today, the company has launched four new variants of the TDI-based (Time Delay Integration) product family. The new variants are available in lengths of 307 mm, 512 mm, 614 mm, and 820 mm that perfect the company’s existing offering, and are fitted for the mainstream system configurations and production belt widths in the target segment. The X-Scan T is built on a well-proven and modular platform that is easy to scale for a variety of X-ray imaging needs.

“The new variants come with the added value features, for which our X-Scan T product family is known in the industry and our customers have been thanking us. For example, our customers have been delighted with its capability to provide better imaging performance than standard detector solutions, even if X-ray source power has been more than halved. This highlights the fact that we have succeeded in providing a solution that promotes system efficiency and cost drivers, and increasingly important environmental aspects, not to mention how its target applications have a positive impact on building a more sustainable future by reducing variation and throwaway waste in production lines. As another example, its scanning speed seems to be a feature that is highly valued in fast-paced manufacturing,” says Tomi Fält, Director of Product Management at Detection Technology.

The X-Scan T product family provides high sensitivity with a low X-ray dose. As a result, image quality meets the most stringent requirements of industrial applications. At the same time, it significantly reduces the required X-ray power and doubles the detector lifetime under X-ray when compared to the industry average. Furthermore, the low-dose operation mode enables the minimization of shielding of X-ray systems, generating total cost savings and streamlining system designs.

The TDI technology features high sensitivity and enhanced contrast resolution. In addition, the unique photodiode-based sensor provided only by Detection Technology, the fast and sensitive scintillator, and the signal processing chain, which is capable of reading each single pixel, further boost the imaging performance of the series. With the application-optimized readout electronics and pixel sizes, the series now features an improved scanning speed of 180 m/min that meets the requirements of the fastest target applications.

Equipped with a built-in control unit, embedded TDI algorithm, and other data processing functions, the X-Scan T is a true plug-and-play–type detector solution. The series comes with robust mechanics, reliable industrial connections, and bidirectional scanning operation for improved usability.

“We have optimized the X-Scan T series for demanding industrial environments. The X-Scan T is an ideal solution, especially for the food industry, which values fast throughput times, precise material discrimination, and low power consumption on harsh production lines, and aims to reduce the amount of waste for cost and sustainability reasons. For example, the X-Scan T is a perfect match for quality inspection in high-speed bottling and canning lines, and bone detection in meat and seafood processes. In addition, this digital detector series serves the battery industry.”

Detection Technology extended its portfolio to TDI scanning technology in 2019. The company expects TDI to become one of the major technologies for in-line industrial inspection applications, especially in the food industry.

5 Tips to Creating UX-Optimized Landing Pages

Page user experience (UX) concentrates on improving the human experience on websites, systems, and landing pages at its most profound level. User experience is all about the human factor, and for landing pages, the first impression is vital. A landing page that is designed with user experience in mind answers the following questions:

  • How will your users feel while interacting with your landing pages?
  • How do your landing pages fulfill users’ needs and expectations?
  • How can you improve the user experience for your landing pages?

Hold on right there! Let me start from scratch so that even the newbies can properly understand this exciting concept. The right place to start is by understanding what a landing page is.

What is a Landing Page?

A landing page is that page on a website that attracts potential customers and converts mere website visitors into leads. Often, people confuse landing pages with home pages. At times, organizations make the mistake of using their home pages to promote their products. A landing page is a standalone website page that gives proper and adequate product descriptions with the sole objective of converting web visitors into leads. The landing page is very different from other website pages in that it follows the following two criteria:

  • It is designed to allow you to have web visitors’ information in exchange for a particular offer.
  •  The primary purpose of a landing page is to convert web visitors into customers. A home page, on its own, cannot be said to be a landing page because it plays roles other than lead generations.

Landing pages are essential, and every business that intends to succeed should have them. They play a very critical role in leads generations. The cruciality of landing pages means that you need to be so keen when creating them.Of great essence is creating landing pages with user experience in mind. According to user experience agency Clay.Global, the following five steps will help you create a tremendous UX-optimized landing page.

  • Mobile Friendliness

Many people now prefer using mobile devices to surf the internet. 61% of consumers say that they find it convenient to purchase through mobile websites. You are losing a lot if your landing pages are not mobile-friendly. According to WebFX, 52% of people will not engage with a mobile-unfriendly website. If these statistics are something to go by, then it means that your landing pages have to be mobile-responsive.

When creating your landing pages, you should ensure that they fit on all screen sizes and resolutions. Starting from desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. A responsive landing page design will be essential in helping you generate leads from multiple sources. Do not get me wrong. By responsive design, I do mean making things fit only on the small screens.  However, it would be best to evaluate what is necessary on each landing page to help your users achieve their primary objective.

You are probably wondering how you can establish whether or not your landing page is mobile-friendly. Doing that is pretty simple. All you need to do is visit the Google Search Console and paste the URL link of your landing page.

  • Top-Notch Security for Your Landing Pages

How confident are your website users when filling out their information on your landing pages? Do they have any doubts about the security of your landing page and your website at large? Do they have privacy concerns, or do they fear that hackers or malicious third parties might compromise their sensitive information?  If that is the case, then know that the user experience of your website might be worth its salt. To have a great experience, they need to trust your website and be sure of the security of your landing pages.

You must prove to your web visitors that all your web pages, including the landing page, are safe and free from any security threats. To prove your legitimacy and your safety, you need to buy and install an SSL certificate on your website. The SSL certificate is one of the perfect security protocols that can be so effective in the security of your website.

All the sensitive information that your users share with you via your landing pages will be encrypted, making it inaccessible to intruders. Without the SSL certificate, the information will be transferred in plain texts easily read by hackers and unintended parties. With the SSL certificate, only the rightful recipient who has the decryption key will have the information.

You are possibly wondering whether or not it will be costly to have SSL certificates to cover all subdomains, including your landing page. You do not need to buy SSL certificates for every subdomain. Wildcard SSL certificates have made things easier for you. All you need is a single wildcard, and you can provide utmost encryption to an unlimited number of first-level subdomains. And you do not have to spend an arm and a leg for the wildcard SSL certificate. Many cheap Wildcard certificate options are available on the market, which you can go for.

To prove to your web visitors that your landing page is safe, you should start contemplating acquiring an SSL certificate. The certificate is a trust indicator that will establish confidence in your web visitors and make them browse through your landing pages without any worries.

  • Performance Optimization

It can be frustrating to your users when they find that your website takes too long to load. Most website users are impatient, and they will exit your website if they find it slow. This explains why websites that take too long to load have high bounce rates. Websites that take less than two seconds to load have an average bounce rate of 9%, while those websites that load in more than five seconds have an average bounce rate of 38%. High bounce rates mean that visitors’ experience is terrible.

Loading page speed is, therefore, one of the biggest contributors to landing page abandonment. It affects search engine optimization, reduces conversion rates and the overall user experience. When it comes to the landing page experience, you should ensure that you have high load speeds.

It does not require rocket science to optimize the speed of your landing pages.

  • Use a Content Delivery Network
  • Use a better hosting provider.
  • Optimize the size of the images and videos on your landing pages.
  • Reduce the number of plugins.
  • Use website caching.
  • Reduce the sizes of your fonts.

  • Keep the Landing Page as Simple as Possible

Although it might look counterintuitive, trying to keep your landing page as simple as possible is the right way to go. The idea is to do away with the visual clutter and drive the focus to the main agenda of your landing page, which is the product you are offering. One perfect way to keep your landing page simple is by using a simple white space. Effective whitespaces can make your landing page easily navigable. Your users will be easily directed to Call-to-actions, and they will easily convert.

Secondly, you should get rid of any navigations that could take your users out of your side. The goal of your landing page is to retain your visitors for as long as possible. Eliminating navigations and links to other web pages will help to do away with distractions. You also have to properly organize your content and align the content effectively.

  • Capturing the Users’ Attention

So, how do you capture the users’ attention and encourage them to convert? First, you need to ensure that the content on the landing page is simple, straightforward, and short. A five-second glance on your landing page should be enough to make a user know what you want.

Secondly, you should make use of visual content to capture users’ attention. You should include quality and attractive images and videos on your landing page to encourage to stay longer on your website and convert. Images and videos will be the first thing that your visitor will process before going to your written content. For this reason, it is recommended that you use powerful graphics that will be able to trigger users’ emotions. The images will also make the landing page stand out from the rest of the pages.

Conclusion

Landing pages are one of the most vital elements of any digital marketing campaign. While it might seem easy to create a landing page, any mistake that affects your users’ experience will make your landing page worthless. To avoid landing page abandonment, you should design the page with user experience in mind. This article explains the reasons and tips for landing page user experience optimization.

Is bitcoin effective in changing the world?

If you have heard about cryptocurrencies, you must have heard about blockchain technology. It is the technology on which almost all cryptocurrencies are based on. In the crypto space, blockchain technology is considered one of the most influential technology in finance, business, and computer science. Many traders are coming forward to invest in bitcoin through Bitcoin trading, which states that it provides an opportunity to make money.

If you are unaware of blockchain technology and its working, you need to uncover its working and learn about it as blockchain technology changes the present and future. Instead of reading from other online sources, read here as this article will provide you with a complete understanding of what blockchain technology is and how is it changing the way of working.

What exactly is blockchain technology?

Blockchain technology came into existence in 2009, and the first and most trending cryptocurrency in the crypto space, Bitcoin. It is the technology that allows information and payments to be made without involving intermediaries. Blockchain technology works on the proof of work consensus method, and therefore it works by eliminating the need for intermediaries. In simple words, a blockchain is a digital ledger that records all transactions using a huge computer network. Because the records recorded in the blockchain ledger aren’t controlled or governed by anyone, these are easily accessible to people across the world.

Blockchain is a distributed public ledger that makes record transparent to everyone. It works in a decentralised way which helps reduce the risks of hack, attacks and corruption. Working in a decentralised way makes blockchain more secure as compared to other technologies and methods of working.

However, blockchain was introduced with bitcoin, but its advantages aren’t limited to bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Let’s dive into the way of working blockchain and learn how it helps change the world.

Enhanced marketing and advertisement

The best thing that businesses can gain from this new and emerging technology is enhancing public relations and marketing. For instance, businesses and PR firms can estimate the number of mentions and clicks they get on their social media handles are from bots or real humans. PR firms and companies can determine the human engagement they receive, which can help them be positioned better.

Companies that use blockchain technology can get an idea of the right statistics, which can help them improve their marketing efforts.

Improved healthcare

Before the emergence of Blockchain technology, there were many issues in healthcare systems, but blockchain has provided multiple solutions to the issues in the system. Blockchain has helped maintain the medical records and make sure that no one tampers with them. It is important to have authentic medical records to know the history of patients and uphold justice in any legal cases.

This technology also helps with consent management. The appointment list of patients can be tracked with the use of blockchain technology.

Increased cybersecurity

Blockchain was developed with bitcoin, and it was developed with the motive to facilitate safe transactions. It is of no shock that blockchain technology is changing the world by driving security in today’s time. With the use of blockchain technology, clients or customers will never hesitate while sharing their documents.

A plethora of blockchain applications have been developed to provide more security to user’s data by limiting access and improving user authentication. There will be fewer reports of security breaches by using blockchain applications.

More funding for startups

The new and best way to raise money for all the blockchain startup projects is through Initial Coin Offerings (ICO). Businesses that want to conduct ICO campaigns need to know that they need to generate a white paper explaining the entire structure of technology, stating how it was developed and other highlights. With the help of ICOs, blockchain startups have become possible as people can gather the required funds.

Conducting financial operations in a better way

Blockchain is highly affecting the finance sector as it allows and makes easy cross-border transactions. Makes recording and verifying the process of transactions easy by using the public digital ledger. Other benefits that it provides in making financial operations easy is by allowing fast and low-cost transactions. Blockchain is the future that will replace traditional banks.

Everything You Need to Know About Internet Lawyers

In simple words, an internet lawyer specialises in internet laws that define legislation and the legal principles regarding the use of the internet. These cyber laws also deal with electronic data, cyberspace, and related legal issues. Unlike traditional law fields, the IT laws incorporate laws from several fields and offer a resolution of issues like falsely using domain names, copyright infringement, electronic data theft, fraud, and defamation to name a few. Here’s our guide to help you understand internet law, internet lawyers, and the services an internet lawyer can provide in this digital age.

What is Internet Law?

Internet law is a very broad term that mostly covers everything related to the internet and computing. During the time of web 1.0, the interaction of the user with the internet and computing services was minimal. However, with web 2.0, the market for these services skyrocketed globally, making it necessary to devise internet laws that are not bound by any region or government’s policies. However, internet law still has its limitations in terms of implementation, especially on a global scale. If you need insights regarding any legal matter, contact Law S&B as they will guide you through any situation

Why Choose an Internet Lawyer?

While internet laws are ever-evolving, knowing about the changes and developments is crucial, and that’s where internet lawyers come in. They have better knowledge to handle these issues professionally when compared to traditional lawyers. An Internet lawyer can also guide you to understand how these laws work and the adequate way to pursue a case whenever you encounter anything related to cyber law. Internet attorneys can guide individuals, online startups, businesses, and corporations to tackle the common legal issues that affect their online presence.

Protecting Intellectual Property

Infringement of intellectual property is a quite common type of legal issue individuals and companies encounter on the internet. Anything online that holds your copyright or trademark is your intellectual property and you have the right to demand unauthorised use of your content. Internet attorneys are already providing services in helping internet firms and advice on how to better protect online assets. Moreover, companies collect user data for marketing purposes that could lead to privacy violations and intellectual property infringements, resulting in hefty fines. A lawyer specialising in internet law can guide companies on how to make policies on data collection and methods to comply with regulations, avoiding the chances of facing legal action.

Selling Confidential Information

Big corporations and industries have trade secrets that they don’t intend to share with anyone from the outside. It has become very difficult to secure these trading secrets and information as a disgruntled employee with access to company data can easily share this critical information or there are chances of a hacker to gain access, ultimately stealing the data. Cyberlaw professionals have expertise in securing the information by providing an in-detail course of the organisation.

Domain-related Issues

A domain dispute arises when both parties believe that they have the right to register a specific domain name. Cybersquatting is a problem that most companies face on the internet where sketchy domain hosting companies and individuals buy trademarked names as domains to sell them for a huge profit. An internet lawyer can help you out if you ever get stuck in this kind of situation.

Defamation

In this age of social media, business, social media influencers, or important personalities can easily become a victim of defamation. Anyone on the internet can nowadays spread false information that can easily influence the public’s view. Defamation cases also include false blogs, posts, articles, and reviews on products and services. This area is getting much-needed attention and laws have been implemented to cope up with it. Choosing an IT attorney facilitates collecting relevant evidence and represents your case for compensation of the losses faced due to defamation. They also provide services to protect the brand image, social influencers, and businesses from attacks of defamation.

Software and Website Development

Attorneys specialising in internet law can guide you through website agreements, defining the terms of service, and user policies that are used in websites. Software license agreements and end-user license agreements for apps and related disputes are also handled effectively by internet lawyers.

Today’s internet has already created huge potentials for every sector on the ground to grow online and connect with the world. With these advances, ways of exploiting information, theft, and misuse have increased by many folds, creating a new field of internet law and lawyers having expertise in the relevant issues. As technology is evolving, so are the laws, policies, and regulations that define its fair use.
