Shopify, while one of the most dominant ecommerce platforms, has its drawbacks that can be addressed by platforms like WooCommerce, which are not only open source but also cheaper. The data migration process is a rather tedious and cumbersome process, which is why most online merchants tend to avoid the manual migration process and opt for auxiliary migration.
These days, however, e-merchants tend to automate any possible business tasks, so online migration tools are becoming more and more popular. Cart2Cart is one of the most advanced and trusted migration services that allows transferring WooCommerce store database to Shopify in a matter of a few mouse clicks.
WooCommerce or Shopify: Installation
First of all, let’s consider how easy it is to install each of the platforms. We believe that if at the installation stage you encounter difficulties, then this will be a strong argument in favor of making a decision in choosing WooCommerce or Shopify. Let’s start with WooCommerce. Read info here https://www.makebecool.com/services/woocommerce-to-shopify
Installing WooCommerce
WooCommerce is a popular plugin for the equally popular WordPress content management system.
Once you create a WordPress site, you can turn it (or part of it) into an online store using an eCommerce plugin like WooCommerce.
Back to WooCommerce, how do I install it? To get started, you need a working WordPress installation.
For beginners, installing WordPress is like taking a walk in the park. You just need to:
Domain name, for example, hostinger.ru
Hosting with WordPress auto-installer in one click
If you want to learn more about installing WordPress, we recommend that you read How to Install WordPress or How to Install WordPress on Docker (Windows, MacOS and Linux) if you want to test WordPress on your computer first.
Why migrate from Shopify to WooCommerce?
You have to pay a Shopify commission for each transaction. WooCommerce does not charge any fees for transactions made on your store.
These are just a few of the reasons many users choose WooCommerce as their Shopify alternative. For more information on these two platforms, see our in-depth post on Shopify vs. WooCommerce and find out which one is best for you.
Reasons to Switch from Shopify to WooCommerce
Without a doubt, Shopify really does make a big difference in the ecommerce industry and boasts of what it has. 20% of the global e-commerce market. If you look at its US presence, you can see that Shopify serves 31% or more of US online stores. This indicates that Shopify is one of the dominant ecommerce platforms these days.
Shopify is a comprehensive online business platform preferred by others because it has simplified the concept of e-commerce. It currently allows non-technical merchants to build their own digital stores from the get-go, install additional features, customize various built-in features, and manage their business operations through an intuitive and easy-to-use user interface. use.
Plus, Shopify is very flexible and suitable for any business. It effectively supports startups, midsize businesses, small businesses and large enterprises with many stores in different countries. Read this on this resources MakeBeCool.
Having tested Edifier products some years now it always a joy to get their latest product they are a staple in audio I use their products daily and their sound signature has always been consistent until now.. Their latest TWS NB2 is their last product and was a fine fit to compare them too considering the design and looks are near identical bar some small cosmetic changes perhaps and size Edifier have upped the game here in a big way and these are a pair of earbuds you need to check out if you want something different and that moves away from the boring industry design.
Check out the unboxing below and see what I mean..
Now I will give out here when it comes to two things and I never have complaints about Edifier and they are NO wireless charging and NO EQ in the app this perhaps may change with a software update for the EQ after that it is a clean sheet of excellence. In their PR material there is an EQ advertised so lets hope this comes to fruition soon.
Design and build
These are a great design as mentioned and move away from the boring straight stem look with nice edges and angles with a nice finish too that stand out and have people asking about them which was similar to the previous model, they are robust and then you have the charging case which I really like and has some cosmetic changes here too and the it comes under one of the best charging cases to date with the LED light that reminds me of kitt from knight rider is is very cool indeed.
Comfort and controls
These fit really well and as always select the right tips for the optimum experience there is a choice as with any set of earbuds and do try them out sometimes they might differ and the ones on them mostly suit me best but sometimes I do need to change them, the controls are easy to use and the sensitivity can be changed in the app and we go through these in the video review below, you simply have to tap the top of the earbud it is all a simple process
Sound
The sound is amazing to put it simple I did not think they could be as good as their marketing stated like all brands you get the usual marketing jargon but this time they delivered and outshine the previous model and gamers can get in on the act too 30db is a standard you see when it comes to noise cancelling and these go up to 42db which is fantastic and not only this there is 6 mics, again something you see on more expensive earbuds the average is around 4 mics today, Music and gaming is great and for movies these really took me by surprise with the sound here and the direction the sound is what you expect from headphones this is remarkable here and of course full volume was how I tested.
All the highs lows and mids are excellent and there is a nice level of bass too and overall simply put a great audio experience from a pair of earbuds, you have to remember these are earbuds not headphones and they deliver headphones quality sound.
Battery life is on par with their claims too and for the price if you get them early they are an easy to recommend purchase and put it up to other brands especially at the early price, you cant go wrong overall here so take my word and thank me later and just buy them.
Solo developer, Kodo Linija, is excited to announce their sci-fi colony sim Stardeus will launch its Kickstarter campaign on the 16th of August. Stardeus takes inspiration from titles like RimWorld, Factorio, Dwarf Fortress, Oxygen Not Included, and FTL to deliver the depth of a colony management sim rarely seen among the stars.
In Stardeus, you play as an immortal AI who has an army of robots and drones at their disposal. Like all colony sim games, how you play Stardeus is entirely up to you. Grow a human colony on your ship, sure. Start a robot uprising, why not. You can even choose to turn all your crew into human batteries to satisfy your greed for electricity. The stars really are the limit when it comes to the open-ended gameplay of Stardeus.
To really make your ship thrive you’ll need to manage your crew, both robotic and human, all offering different personalities; ensure power is sustainable; explore space with resource gathering expeditions and be sure to squash any face-hugging aliens before an infestation breaks out
Embedded in every mode and base you build is the focus on AI storytelling. This off-the-cuff approach to narrative will make every situation on a ship unique to the player’s own personal experience. This storytelling can result in eye-watering comedic moments from the interaction of crew members to face-palming fires that destroy half your space empire. Nothing in Stardeus is a scripted story, it’s your story and your rules.
Stardeus will launch its Kickstarter campaign on Monday 16th of August. A playable demo will be available to everyone, offering up to 2 hours of gameplay. There is instant alpha access available to backers, which offers around 15 hours of progress gameplay. However, there is no time lock on the alpha access so players can build until their hearts are content.
Team17 and Unicube Studios have today announced resource management survival game Sheltered 2 will be launching on Steam on 21st September. Placing players into a post-apocalyptic landscape Sheltered 2 tasks players with surviving the horrors that await at the end of the world. Building upon the foundations of the 2016 original, Sheltered 2 features revamped combat systems and new factions mechanics for deeper strategic gameplay, a new 3D art style, and punishing survival challenges spread out across the devastated surface of the Earth.
As the fight to survive is tested by internal and external threats, players will create and build up their own faction and base, manage resources and meet survivor needs. Sheltered 2’s factions system in isinstrumental to a campaign’s success; relationships can be forged between factions, giving players the option to trade and work together, with both sides thriving from the association. Alternatively, bitter rivalries can be ignited, potentially leading to catastrophic effects and ushering in an untimely end to the faction leader and their base.
Sheltered 2 Key Features:
Factions: The factions system allows players to forge relationships with other groups to provide their base with resources and support, or they can grab their weapons and take things the old-fashioned way
Resource Management: Players will balance the needs and wants of their survivors, manage scarce resources, craft items needed to maintain the shelter, cook meals, and build equipment to keep their group alive, and with the expanded power system players can generate energy in new ways
Faction Leader: New for Sheltered 2, the faction leader is the most important member of a shelter, boasting their own unique and powerful traits, the faction leader will be pivotal to success, with their death meaning game over
An Unforgiving Wasteland: Starvation, asphyxiation, extreme temperatures, and combat are just some of the challenges players will face in the harsh wasteland
Combat: In Sheltered 2 players will use a variety of skills coupled with the ability to build parties of four and targeting specific body parts on their enemies to deal the most visceral damage in combat situations. Each action performed also has a stamina cost, so strategy will be at the forefront of every altercation, each move critical in the balance of life and death
Characters: Survivors have their own personalities, traits, desires, and skills to acquire, and the ability to customise each individually means every faction member is unique.
Survivors looking to start their adventure in the wasteland can wishlist Sheltered 2 on Steam. To keep up to date with all the information
What were you doing in 2006? Maybe you were going through your emo phase. Maybe you were loving low rise jeans. Maybe you were mourning Pluto’s (temporary) demotion from planet to dwarf planet.
Maybe you were checking out these trends — and plenty of others — on Google Trends, which went live in the summer of 2006. Though the tool’s data goes back to 2004, it became available two years later. This summer, Google Trends turns 15, so we thought it would be the perfect time to look back on trends of yesteryear and compare what people were searching for back in 2006 to today.
For me gaming and tech obviously was something of interest and also trainers and those who follow me know of late I have been picking up old school trainers that where out back in the day and there is a love for all things retro right now.
The latest offering from SOUL is their new emotion max ANC headphones which I have been testing for a while now and they are a very worthy contenter in the market for the price and come with all the features you would expect to do so and more. Well presented too with the packaging this was a good start to the overall experience.
Check out the unboxing here and see what you get for your money ..,
Built for the modern consumer, EMOTION MAX allows wearers to effortlessly switch back and forth between Normal, Active Noise Cancellation and Audio Transparency mode, while Bluetooth Multipoint Technology empowers users to stream music, answer calls, and receive notifications from two separate devices at once. Not only can consumers expect SOUL’s signature precision sound, complete with a powerful 40mm driver and AptX and AAC codec, but they will have clear-sounding calls and voice communication with the built-in Qualcomm® CvC™ 8.0 (Clear Voice Capture). EMOTION MAX also boasts up to 38 hours of music, entertainment, and talk time (24 hours with ANC function on).
Comfort and build
These are very light in comparison to some headphones recently tested here and are robust, they are made of mostly plastic but still strong and no creaks as seen in the unboxing and that is a good sign. These can be worn for hours on end too with no issues with that head clamping experience you might find on some headphones and your ears do not sweat either.
Controls
The controls are great and easy to use and after a while using them blindly is fine too, all the controls are on one side which I like and prefer and the keys are slightly raised and all commands can be done from the one side which we go through in the video below it is a simple affair and executed well..
Sound
Well this is the bit most people just read reviews for and it is good to report all is good here, One thing I would like is for soul to have an app in the near future to enhance the experience even more but out of the box the sound overall is great at this price point. One caveat noted was some tunes maxed out with ANC off got distorted sometimes but having ANC headphones I use the ANC and hardly use transparency mode but having said that these modes do work really well and are a great addition to the features on the headphones.
For movies You Tube and gaming etc you will be happy with the audio quality given here with good direction highs lows and mids are good too and in general a listening experience you will enjoy.
The other major benefit with these is multipoint technology which allows you to connect to two devices at once so for me working at home connecting to my phone and pc make these a great pair of headphones to have and makes life much easier.
The IoT operator Netmore will imminently be embarking on an extensive venture to build a nationwide IoT network using the LoRaWAN standard in the UK. The investment is part of an international rollout plan for Netmore’s IoT Network infrastructure, which Sweden and recently Ireland have already launched. The strategic decision to expand the existing network with nationwide coverage in the UK is based on an increased demand for large-scale cost-efficient IoT connectivity.
Following the successful launches of nationwide rollout for LoRaWAN in Sweden and Ireland, the United Kingdom is next. The international expansion of the Netmore IoT network is part of a strategy which aims at providing both local and global IoT companies with cost-efficient, robust, and reliable IoT connectivity. The infrastructure and network technology are purpose-built for connecting millions of devices in a wide range of different industries and sectors.
Netmore, through subsidiaries, cooperation agreements, customer agreements and contacts, has been active in the UK since the beginning of 2020.
International IoT recipe for success is introduced in UK
In connection with the LoRaWAN establishment and the official launch, Netmore introduces four proven growth concepts with which it has had success in the Swedish and Irish market. The concepts have been developed to create the best possible conditions for IoT growth for the company’s existing and prospective IoT partners.
LoRaWAN – Coverage on demand
For IoT service providers, Netmore offers to adapt the network expansion to their application and device rollout plan. Netmore is building LoRaWAN to ensure that the distributed devices receive the coverage needed for their IoT solution. This is necessary to create the intended benefit for the end IoT user.
LoRaWAN – Try for free (platform included)
IoT service- and solution providers as well as other IoT players will have the opportunity to test Netmore’s entire LoRaWAN offering free of charge. Five devices can be connected for three months, and Netmore’s complete IoT platform is included. The platform provides the ability to control and monitor the devices, while a full-scale and cyber-secure bidirectional API makes it possible to integrate the IoT solution as is desired.
Integrated IoT connectivity in IoT solutions
Netmore’s partners (for example IoT service providers and sensor manufacturers) will have the opportunity to create and package commercially viable IoT solutions, where the network connection is fully integrated into the cost of the solution. When the cost of connectivity is integrated at an early stage in IoT projects, the probability increases for a smooth process when the project goes from pilot phase to commercial delivery.
Embedded IoT connectivity at device level
For IoT device manufacturers, distributors, and general agents, Netmore offers the opportunity to embed connectivity through a network onboarding process in which each device is granted access to the IoT network before reaching the market. The distribution of pre-onboarded devices includes a fully manageable IoT platform, and sub-accounts can be distributed to partners such as re-sellers and solution providers.
“LoRaWAN is rapidly emerging as the most versatile and important technology for IoT networking. It is also becoming clear around the world that for industrial, professional and mission critical users, access to a carrier grade network is essential. They need to rely on a well defined and carefully managed network to get the best out of this exciting technology.”, said Stefan Stanislawski, managing director of Netmore in the UK
Netmore – A member of the LoRa Alliance® roaming initiative
Netmore is one of 26 operators participating in an international collaboration enabling seamless roaming between 27 countries. LoRaWAN roaming is available between both public and private networks, and enables a number of new IoT applications, for tracking, logistics and other use cases where the combination of cross-network mobility and connectivity is a prerequisite.
“It is very exciting to see Netmore’s rapid expansion of LoRaWAN networks around the world, supplemented by its participation in the LoRa Alliance’s roaming initiative,” said Donna Moore, CEO and Chairwoman of the LoRa Alliance. “This type of collaboration is what the alliance is all about, making it as easy as possible to deploy LoRaWAN solutions. Netmore’s range of service offerings take ease of deployment one step further by providing options for a wide range of end users.”
IoT companies: Request LoRaWAN connectivity for your project today
We are looking forward to hear from individual companies’ connectivity teams to discuss their project and integrate it within our rollout plans.
In summary, with the UK launch, Netmore is gearing up to create the best possible conditions to realise the many IoT projects that have the capacity to create great societal contribution. Netmore’s carrier grade LoRaWAN is ready to provide IoT service providers with the coverage required to make the project profitable.
