Lamborghini Launches the Third Season of The Real Race

Lamborghini Esports is proud to present the third edition of its virtual competition, The Real Race, which returns this year with a brand-new format across the three regions, Europe/Middle East/AfricaNorth America/Latin America and Asia-Pacific. The competition has become an important meeting place for sim drivers from all over the world following the success of the first two editions. This year, the winner will have the opportunity to become an official member of the Lamborghini Esports team, which was launched in 2022. And like the previous two seasons, all races will take place on the Assetto Corsa Competizione game.

A New Format for this Third Edition of The Real Race

Lamborghini recently presented its first official esports team for the most important virtual races dedicated to sim racing. The creation of this team is the result of the massive experience gained with The Real Race competition. This is also an opportunity to further extend the brand’s visibility in a sector that is constantly developing and, above all, allows users to experience sensations comparable to those of a real race. Currently made up of three simulation drivers, Jordan Sherratt, Gianfranco Giglioli and Giorgio Simonini, this year the overall winner of the championship may have the chance to join this official team.

“With this new edition of The Real Race, we are proud to once again show our commitment and passion for Esports racing. The competition is a remarkable way to engage with the new generation and to expand our community.” says Christian Mastro, Automobili Lamborghini Marketing Director“We are confident that the players will have the best experience possible with the new Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, and we are excited to discover which racer will have the opportunity to join our brand-new Lamborghini Esports team at the end of the competition.”

For this edition, Lamborghini has decided to change the format of the competition. Each region will have a new format which will now incorporate:

  • Qualifiers: at the end of the four qualifiers, one winner per group will be chosen to join the group stage directly. All other competitors will receive points and the top 20 from each qualifier will have the chance to wait for the next stage.
  • Group Stage: There will be six days for the group stage of the competition, divided by regions. Each day will consist of two races played and the participants will again be decided by a point system. The top 15 will qualify for the grand finale.
  • The Last Chance: An in-game event will offer one driver per region the chance to reach the final phase.
  • The Final: The three finals will be played in one day and the top 16 will compete for the ultimate title. The winner will have the chance to join the official sports team.

A Successful 2021 Edition

The 2021 edition of The Real Race brought more than 3,100 drivers competing in several races between June and November. The public was also heavily involved, with more than 1.15 million spectators throughout the tournament. At the end of the finale, which took place at the legendary Misano Adriatico circuit, Jordan Sherratt became Lamborghini’s first official sim driver and joined the ranks of this newly created esports team in 2022.

This year the best sim drivers in the world will compete again in the race game Assetto Corsa Competizione at the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo 2, the new version of the racing vehicle that will be the only car in the three continental series of the competition. Participants will be able to drive the digital version of the high-performance Lamborghini last race car.

Assetto Corsa Competizione was developed in collaboration with car manufacturers and is a dynamic support for Lamborghini’s latest racing series. The game is also used by the official test and racing drivers of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse in their preparations for physical races. And as Lamborghini wants to give the whole world a chance to join the competition and become the next gen sim racer, the famous brand announces good news for all racing game lovers; Assetto Corsa Competizione will be free on steam during the first weekend of the competition from 5 to 8 May 2022.

A wide engagement in Esports

This third edition of The Real Race will continue to prove the Lamborghini’s support and commitment to the esports scene. After launching its virtual competition in 2020, Automobili Lamborghini has signed partnerships with the main gaming brands on the esports scene such as Rocket League and Asphalt 9: Legends, which offer players the opportunity to drive Lamborghini models, such as the Huracán STO or the Essenza SCV12.

THE SECURITY DISCONNECT: Worried Britons Are Still Creatures Of (PASSWORD) Habit

Despite over 27 million Britons admitting they worry about losing money to online fraud, three-quarters (75%) of the nation could be putting their finances and savings at risk by using the same password for their online banking as other online accounts, increasing the risk of bank account fraud. Staggeringly, there are more than 40 billion records of personal information captured from consumers globally, according to cyber security experts, F-Secure.

The new study, which delves into Britons’ password habits, also found that one in 10 people have had their online banking hacked. Yet, in a strange twist of contradiction, almost 80% of people won’t change their passwords even when they’ve been notified that an account has been compromised.

The disconnect between worry and risk has been revealed in the latest research released today, which shows that lax password habits continue to be commonplace. When it comes to password hygiene more broadly, more than a third[1] still use the same password, or variations of it, for several protected accounts and Gen-Z are the worst creatures of habit with 41% keeping to the same password.

Security experts at F-Secure are urging the British public to improve their password habits this World Password Day (5th May) as cyber criminals exploit weak passwords for theft and identity fraud.

Further findings in the research, also revealed that since the pandemic, the number of online accounts Britons now have has almost doubled – going from 18 to 32. This growth is likely to have been accelerated by the pace of digitalisation over the past two years when many analogue services migrated online.

The research also revealed that rather than use a password manager that allows users to store, generate and manage their passwords, 42% of Britons say they simply memorise passwords, whilst a quarter keep a note of them online, on their phone or written down on paper.

Tom Gaffney, Principal Consultant at F-Secure comments: “There is a clear disconnect between the worries Britons have about cyber security versus their behaviour and attitudes to password management, likely because it’s perceived to be more convenient to have simple, easy to remember passwords. A fifth of account holders choose passwords that contain personal words or numbers. While this may make passwords easy to remember, choosing convenience over security makes passwords weak and predictable, allowing hackers to crack them in seconds. Reusing the same passwords across multiple services is dangerous even if other security mechanisms such as 2FA are in place. While 2FA adds an important layer of security, it still has its weaknesses.

“Cybercrime is a very serious and realistic threat that can have devastating consequences. There are millions of us openly exposing ourselves to the risk of fraud every day. While 36% are using unique passwords across all of their accounts there is room for improvement. We should all be using unique passwords. Many people don’t realise there are some quick and easy ways to improve password habits to close the security disconnect and mitigate risk. If you make one change this World Password Day, make sure your online banking passwords are completely unique, and use a combination of random letters, numbers and characters.”

To help Britons employ effective security measures, F-Secure’s team of cyber security experts have provided these top tips for password safety:

Avoid using consecutive letters that sit consecutively on a keyboard ‘dfghj’ or ‘qwerty’

Never use slang terms or common misspellings or words spelled backward, these can be accessed using software hackers are familiar with using.

Don’t use names of spouses, children, close relatives, pets or anyone else that feature on your social profiles. They can all be discovered with a little desk research.

Never use ‘123456’ – remember when 32 million passwords were exposed in a breach, almost 1% of victims were using that number sequence.

Set up a password manager to keep your details secure. Password managers encrypt your logins so they can only be accessed when you enter a master password and plain text passwords are never stored on any devices or on the password manager’s servers.

Avoid sharing passwords to accounts like Netflix or Spotify, especially if it is the same password you use for other services.

Ireland’s Favourite Bingo Brands

Bingo is a very popular pastime in Ireland. There’s a vast array of reputable bingo brands and platforms, such as https://www.betinireland.ie/bingo/ where you can also take up online betting and play casino games.

This article will delve deeper into the most popular bingo brands in Ireland, why bingo is popular in this country, and what makes one bingo brand better than the other. A few different bingo brands are greatly popular in Ireland. The three most popular ones are Paddy Power Bingo, Bet365 Bingo, and BoyleSports Bingo.

Each of these brands has its unique selling points, making them popular and favoured by most bingo players. For example, Paddy Power Bingo is known for its large variety of games, Bet365 Bingo is known for its great bonuses and promotions, and BoyleSports Bingo is known for its low minimum deposit amount.

Now, without much further introduction, let’s explore the popularity of bingo in Ireland, the evolution of bingo brands, and the features that make one brand better than the other.

Why is bingo so popular in Ireland?

Bingo is an extremely popular pastime in Ireland because it is fun and easy to play. It does not require any special skills or knowledge (like casino games do, for example). For that reason, people of all ages can enjoy a good bingo game. On top of fun and excitement, the prizes available in bingo games are often quite lucrative, which greatly adds to its appeal.

Another reason why bingo is a popular pastime in Ireland is the fact that it offers numerous benefits to all players. One of the main benefits is that it is a great way to socialise. At its core, bingo is a very social game, and it is a lot of fun to play with friends or family members. In addition, playing bingo can help you improve your maths skills, as there will undoubtedly be a lot of calculations for each bingo game you play.

So yes, even though bingo doesn’t require any particular skills and knowledge, you’ll need to do some basic maths to play the game correctly. But that can only do you good since playing bingo and doing basic maths can help you to improve your cognitive abilities.

Because you need to remember the numbers called during the game, playing bingo can also improve your memory skills – yet another crucial benefit of this game. Finally, playing bingo can help you stay mentally active, which is important as you get older.

How have the bingo brands evolved?

The bingo brands have evolved to keep up with their players’ changing needs and wants. For instance, many brands have started offering online bingo games aside from traditional live games. Playing a bingo game online allows players to enjoy the game from the comfort of their own homes, which is a big draw for many people.

In addition, many brands have started offering bonus games and other incentives to attract new players and keep them coming back for more. Let’s not forget that many brands have started offering mobile apps so that players can enjoy bingo on the go. These changes have helped the brands stay competitive and continue to thrive.

What makes one bingo brand in Ireland unique and better than the other?

A few things make each of the top Irish bingo brands unique. For one, they all have their unique look and feel. Their uniqueness is thanks to their unique branding and marketing efforts. More importantly, each brand has its selection of games and promotions, which sets it apart from the others. Finally, each brand has its loyal following of players, who keep coming back for more because they are satisfied with the service.

When determining which bingo brand in Ireland is better than the other, several factors are considered. The first is the quality of the games. Good bingo brands have high-quality games with great graphics and sound effects. Top-quality bingo games make the experience more enjoyable for players and make them keep playing those games without the need to look for another bingo brand.

Another important factor is customer service. Good brands have responsive and helpful customer service teams who are available 24/7 to help players with any issues or questions. With top-notch customer service, you can rest assured that all your issues will be resolved.

And last but not least, trust is key. Players need to trust that their personal information is safe and secure and that their money will be handled responsibly. Good brands always use state-of-the-art security measures to protect their players’ data.

That would be all. We hope you enjoyed our text on the best bingo brands in Ireland.

Kingspan launches PowerPanel solution allowing users to Insulate and Generate in a single product

High energy consuming businesses can reduce carbon emissions and cut energy costs with today’s launch of Kingspan’s latest PowerPanel™ renewable energy solution aimed at commercial and office buildings. PowerPanel provides operational efficiencies and is up to 74% lighter than traditional systems.

Kingspan PowerPanel is a new generation of roof solution, combining high-performance QuadCore insulation with efficient monocrystalline photovoltaic (PV) technology in a single, factory-engineered panel, creating roofs that are quicker to install, and that work to power the building’s needs.

In Ireland, the Government committed to a target of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions no later than 2050, and a reduction of 51% by 2030. The construction and building materials sectors have a key role to play in delivering these reductions given that the built environment contributes about 40% of global carbon emissions. PowerPanel™ meets Net Zero Energy building requirements and helps buildings to achieve an A+ energy rating.

PowerPanel is suitable for many existing roof structures without the need for additional structural works or aesthetic compromises. By combining its energy saving technology and lighter structure it is a perfect solution for commercial and office spaces looking for an efficient and effective renewable energy solution.

In 2019, Kingspan opened the doors to IKON, its new global innovation centre at its headquarters in Kingscourt, Co Cavan. PowerPanel is one of the first products developed at IKON and it is installed on its nearby manufacturing building to enhance its energy credentials, and is reflective of Kingspan’s commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability.

Gene Murtagh, Chief Executive at Kingspan said:

“The built environment is responsible for nearly 40% of global carbon emissions, and high-performance insulation is one of the most important ways to increase energy-efficiency in buildings. Radical changes in the materials the construction sector uses can play a significant part in helping to slow and mitigate the impacts of climate change. Through Kingspan’s Planet Passionate programme, we are putting knowledge and expertise to use through the creation of innovative, energy-saving products. Developing innovative new products like PowerPanel is all part of delivery on Kingspan’s mission to accelerate a net zero emissions future.”

Marci Bonham, Managing Director Kingspan Insulated Panels, Ireland said:

“For the commercial property sector to embrace renewable technologies, they need solutions that not only make sense from an environmental viewpoint, but ones that are viable and attractive from an economic and a business perspective too. The single unit nature of PowerPanel makes it an easy to install product, that takes less time. PowerPanel is a means to reduce carbon emissions of the built environment and help meet Government targets for office and commercial energy ratings. It is also putting its knowledge and expertise to use through the creation of innovative, energy-saving products.”

Kingspan’s funding solution ‘Rooftricity’ allows owners to install PowerPanel on their buildings with no upfront capital investment. The funding option offers building owners the opportunity to maximise roof space to generate power for their own use without any upfront capital outlay.

The push towards zero emission buildings is part of Kingspan’s Planet Passionate programme, an ambitious 10-year global sustainability strategy that aims to impact on three big global issues: climate change, circularity and protection of our natural world.  The insulation systems Kingspan sold during 2021 are projected to save 193 million tCO2e during their lifetime, and Powerpanel is another addition to this energy saving range.

Irish Software Teams Reveal The Secrets To Workplace Happiness

With employee retention and satisfaction becoming a major point-of-concern, Irish software engineering teams have revealed the latest secrets for workplace happiness. According to recent data, there are over 30,000 software development professionals working all over Ireland. Working in a dynamic industry that is worth over €55 Billion, employees need to take a few extra steps to remain content, fulfilled, and happy. As a systems engineer yourself, it is critical to understand what Irish businesses are on the path to keep their teams satisfied. To get started now, read on to learn about the secrets to workplace happiness, revealed by Irish software teams.

Work Collaboratively With Engaged Teams

All across Ireland, successful development teams have come to understand the power of collaborative working. True dev-centric workplaces take all the necessary steps to remove barriers to constant collaboration. This often involves creating an open, highly-social atmosphere where teams can thrive together. With this collaborative approach, teams tend to exhibit higher levels of confidence, productivity, and overall satisfaction. In fact, most software engineers work far better when they are paired up with somebody else. It helps them troubleshoot complex issues, gain helpful feedback, and benefit from an extra skillset. Surely, working collaboratively is one of the best ways to keep Irish software development teams happy, satisfied, and fulfilled.

Leverage Cloud Native Technologies

Irish dev teams are increasingly turning to powerful cloud native technologies to foster workplace happiness and employee satisfaction. Dev companies need to leverage the best tools, technologies, and resources to keep teams happy. Cloud native solutions are known to accelerate releases, deliver superior user experience (UX), and simplify developer management processes. Plus, they support seamless containerization and cloud-standard technologies. This powerful functionality is known to make employees work far simpler, which directly contributes to their overall happiness. Of course, there are numerous solutions that can be implemented for cloud-based software development. For example, many engineers use the JFrog Platform for Cloud native DevOps. These resources help teams maintain a uniform, consistent, and structured security posture. Certainly, leveraging cloud native technologies is a major secret to workplace happiness and success.

Prioritize Work-Life Balance

According to Irish programming experts, keeping a structured work-life balance is absolutely vital to stay happy, content, and satisfied. Employees need to feel that their daily work is a small part of a rich, fulfilling lifestyle. That’s where work-life balance comes into the picture. An adequate balance keeps teams productive, less stressed, and more engaged. It also makes sure they feel valued for their company contributions. Year over year, employees with a structured work-life balance also have lower absenteeism, burnout, or sickness levels as well. After all, we can expect both their physical and mental health to be much stronger. Indeed, prioritize work-life balance to remain happy in dynamic software development environments.

Support Workplace Autonomy

Irish teams also emphasize the happiness of workplace autonomy for software developers. The most successful teams allow programmers to make important decisions on their own, without checking in with top-tier managers. In addition, employees are allowed to contribute frequent ideas and choose their own work schedules. On a leadership front, supervisors need to avoid habitual micromanagement. This often occurs when they consistently interfere with developer performance, progress, productivity. Absolutely, supporting workplace autonomy has been uncovered as one of the most effective techniques for happy employees.

Update The Scenery

Irish teams also say that the importance of nice office scenery should never be overlooked. Most importantly, employees need a space where they can relax both inside and outside. This is why so many office parks are located near a serene lake, or a park with walking trails. Or, they’ll offer an indoor gym, fitness center, or cafeteria where employees can unwind. This gives team members a chance to reset and take short breaks in between the day. Ultimately, this helps them be more productive, focused, and satisfied throughout their daily work. Definitely, try updating the scenery to promote workplace happiness throughout custom software development companies.

According to Irish software programming experts, there are several core secrets to workplace happiness and employee satisfaction. First off, encourage collaborative, engaged working environments. In addition, think about the advantages of leveraging cloud computing technologies for workplace satisfaction. It also really helps to allow employees to work autonomously. Of course, never overlook the importance of updating the scenery. This helps employees stay recharged, less stressed, and ready-to-work in the office. Follow the points highlighted above to learn about the secrets to workplace happiness, revealed by Irish development teams.

Ireland features among global leaders in embracing hyperautomation

Irish businesses feature prominently in a list of nations embracing hyperautomation according to new research by analytics leader SAS.

David Shannon, Head of Hyperautomation, at SAS UK & Ireland, says that as interest in the AI-powered technology surges, Irish firms are amongst the global leaders in embracing new opportunities.

“We know from our own research that companies are already using hyperautomation to drive efficiency, customer service and innovation,” he said.

“This is particularly true of competitive consumer-centric industries like retail, fulfilment, insurance and financial services, where it can give businesses the edge over their rivals.”

His comments come after research by SAS showed that while interest in the technology continues to rise across the bulk of nations featured in the research, Ireland ranked fourth out of 24 countries analysed, with 2.49 people in every 10,000 looking for ‘hyperautomation’ and related keywords between 2020 and 2021.

Leading the way was Finland, with 4.5 out of every 10,000 people searching for the term online, followed by Sweden with just under 3 and Switzerland at 2.74. The UK appeared in 12th position in the rankings.

The term ‘hyperautomation’ was first coined by Gartner in 2019 and refers to the AI-driven technique of processing multiple large datasets from across an organisation in a cloud-based ‘always-on, always-connected’ system.

David Shannon added: “While search data can’t tell us everything, it’s a useful barometer to test the mood of nations. Awareness has grown rapidly in some countries in just three years, indicating where demand could be strongest.

“Automation has enabled businesses of all sizes to transform their operations, and hyperautomation is the next step in the journey. Now is the time for them to build it, and other advanced technological solutions, into their digital strategies.”
