The Google Pixel 11 Pro has been my daily driver as they say for some weeks now alongside the Watch 5 45mm which the review of that will follow soon and this time a took a bit longer to give a real world test rather than rush one out and with my job reviewing tech my phones get pushed to the limit more so than average users loaded to the hilt with apps and so on, like the Google Pixel 10 Pro it works for me being a great device for productivity and more and it is fair to say moving up from the Pixel 10a that has served me well and a phone I now use for videos here and a second phone. Packed with Gemini AI and new features it is ideal for those who want that bit more from a mobile phone.
I have a Google Pixel device in one hand all year round being the main phone and whatever I am testing during the year plus the latest iPhone which at one time was a daily driver after years of avoiding them I had to keep in the loop with the competition and of course products that come with it to review but I am back fully on Android now and the iPhone is the one that does the least work but more so for just business where the Pixel is the full on device along with the Watch to match, I like continuity you know..
The Google Pixel 11 Pro again has played it safe with the upgrade with a new Tensor G6 chip and there is a few things to take in here and if it is worth upgrading from last years, I of course say yes because the latest and greatest is what I always have but for those on the 10 Pro I think will wait however upgrade cycles differ you could get it free if so go ahead but like my I buy most of my phones and like Apple and their 18 pro coming up the upgrade is iterative just like the Pixel 11 Pro but I like it.
The Google Pixel 11 Pro has changed one thing I found useful which was the temperature sensor on the back and no can be used for a kind of indicator and by enabling the HighLight feature on the camera bar which displays visual patterns for listening and processing when your phone is facing down or active or you can assign specific contacts for example and colour to match no to confuse things it is a limited tool some will find useful and is more useful than one might think and if used to its potential and hopefully opened up more it will not be sniffed at so much as it is.
Another useful feature on the Pixel 11 Pro is teleprompter which is ideal for those who need a script or has to use a script and this can save time on short format videos for example and very use for for lots of people it is something I would not use much as I pretty much do all my videos I have countless times been offered to do video ads for products with scripts is say one example or been given things to say in videos which I do not do my reviews are my own with no disclosure or pre approval nonscence and we dont advertise on our YouTube..
The creator suite is also a great addition here for me I hate the extra equipment I even avoid most reviews of such this is an all in one here with an audio visualizer and speech enhancement tool which you can see up top the green bar denotes the volume of the person talking and moves up and down like any smart mic system or product be it in their app on their product.
Live Translate also a handy feature here you will need to download the languages however, again not a new concept even for Google and right now I am actual testing a product that does this in which will be a hard sell now however there is still manufacturers making standalone products which will die of like the AI pins we seen as Google has us covered with the likes of Google Lens which I am a fan of.
Rambler again ideal for those on the go and again saves time and removes unwanted repeated words we tend to use like um and uh and for me it is so and it can break down the conversation even more if required. There is also a new app now doing the rounds to counter this which I will not mention we will see how long that lasts LOL…
The camera once again is just great tech folk tend to talk about specs too much abot specssheets we find it boring and repetitive, yes some want the specs but it is real life footage and general usage people want here today and the camera on the Pixel 11 pro is great and of course expected and again packed with AI features creators can get creative and use the tools for their advantage with nice trickery. The Google Pixel 11 Pro as daily driver is where I also push things to the limits with countless apps for a house full of tech and a slew of social media and email accounts going all day long I tend to cripple the battery quick and in some cases freeze the phones I review not with the Pixel 11 pro though it lasts a day though thats it the average user would get more.
I tend to have to charge in the evening but testing with no top ups during the day it lasts the day with a house full of wireless chargers that was a hard thing to do and out of habit but managed it needed be dharone with real world testing not just guess work we have Qi2.2 wireless charging and 25W fast charging with compatible chargers and 30W wired it is not the fastest on the block and it does have extreme charging mode.
The only struggle I have had with the Pixel 11 Pro is the video uploads and I have used the apps all the time on all my pixels however I think now this is down to the apps not the phone as for gaming it performed well on some high end games I use my Pixels for Video reviews and this has been the only bug bear with any of the and the processing of the video.
Overall the Pixel 11 Pro is a great phone and I am not paid shill or paid to say anything but for me using pixel devices each year with the a models and pro models all year round it is a must have phone for me and my needs given I test other brands and have phones in now for testing the Pixel is always the main daily driver even if I am on two droids when testing it is the best with point and shoot cameras and creativity tools for me and having them since inception speaks volumes to stick to them for so long even after testing the likes and owning Samsung phones, now they do not exist in my phone set up at all well for more reasons than one lets say.
