Having bought many and reviewed several OBD scanners in the past we found they do not do a whole lot and at best is just clear fault codes for them to only return later on this is due to how the deep the system allows on such units and with manufactrucrers now locking down lots of things on your car just like samrtphones in the past this kit easily gets around this and allows you to access other functions that can be a costly fix at your local garage, my local garage recently tried to charge me 130 euro just to plug in such a machine even though I was under warranty then god knows what rubbish they would find on a brand new vehicle they are known for it and you can guess what I told them after the inital advisory fee under their warranty but this is they are today.
In my line of work DPF regeneration is vital on my vehicles and again this is locked out on most car diagnostic tools for some reason but not here again showing a device like this is worth having and it is not an expensive outlay compared to what it will cost you in the long run with garage visits and error messages espsicall on vans with DPF as they are know to be troublesome which the dealers even admit yet still look for dollars and a simple to fix issue.
