The new Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro max earbuds are the latest on the market and like previous iterations overall give you excellent value and sound for your hard earned cash, only this time they have taken things further and take on the big names in the earbuds market in which we have tested them all with the biggest earbuds and headphone product reviews in Ireland I can tell junk from something great and these ar ethe latter and perhaps may even have others looking over their shoulders.
These are not cheap however you get more than others I have often said there is no need to spend money on expensive earbuds but this time around these deserve the price to be fair with all the features on board.
Lets start with the case which I love, it is large but it has more than you think, it allows you to control the earbuds make changes and more, for example you can use it as a remote camera shutter, not a new thing I know but it is there but you can also use it to do note taking which for me saves time and effort this also crosses over to the app and can be used to edit, share and more and this with your phone can do face to face translation.
The case is really nice too with the shape and build quality the front slides up it has a big screen where as above gives you control of what goes on, it has its own built in mic too for the recording a nice big display and simple to use, again the touch screen case not a new thing but they have executed this well and it also keeps you off your phone which is not a bad thing.
The Liberty 5 Pro features a charging case with a 0.96-inch TFT mini touch screen. The Liberty 5 Pro Max includes what Soundcore describes as the World’s First Smart Screen Earbuds with AI Note-Taker, controlled through a 1.78-inch AMOLED display. Double-tap the charging case button at the back; after the session, the Soundcore app generates transcripts, identifies speakers, and extracts action items. AI translation is available on both models — through the earbuds on the Liberty 5 Pro, and through either the case or earbuds on the Liberty 5 Pro Max.
The Soundcore app is also great with lots on board as seen in the screenshots below, You get HearID for a personalized EQ profile, an eight-band custom EQ with 4 presets, Dolby Audio with head tracking, a safe volume limiter, wear detection, and Easy Chat, which automatically switches to transparency and lowers your music when it detects you’re speaking. Anka, Soundcore’s AI assistant, is here too, along with real-time and face-to-face translation powered by Anker’s Thus chip for on-device processing. You will notice when using the earbuds they lower down in volume when you start speaking this was a bit strange to me when testing but I see the reason why and it again works really well it is a great idea.
Calls are great Guiness record great I might add, the quality of the call is excellent even when tested in a nosiey environment with traffic you cant hear it it is the best I have seen to date using 8-microphone array and 2 bone-conduction sensors giving you crystal clear calls or whisper clear calls they call it, yet its not just a name given to a product like pro or ultra this actually works trust me..
The earbuds themselves are not too big considering all the tech packed inside and still have that bean shape which i am fine with, they dont put pressure on the ears either when usiing and use swipes and touch for the controls that work really well I had no issues here and again the settings can be changed to suit your requirements.
The sound, yes it is great did not expect anything less here to be honest and with the EQ settings again you have control no problems during my test list which includes movies music and gaming and they are great overall and nice and loud put you in the center stage, you also have a safe limiter wear detection and access to Anka which is their own assistant. Highs lows and mids all great no tinny sound or distortion when using at max volume either. There is also Hear ID in which like many earbuds now allow you take a quick test, it is worth doing these test for the best results so just do it.
Overall these earbuds now sit at the top of my list to date which is not an easy earn in my earbuds review routine and it is not easy to label a product these days as the best without the usual begrudders that have not even tested half the products I review over a year they sound great I love the style and case but with AI built in like most things these days there is a subscritpion model built in and again they are not the only product to do so but this is up to the user, for me they offer excellent sound and with the AI note taker make them a productivity tool for those on the go or in the media landscape and if you have the money to buy them and in the market put them on your list.
