The MyFirst CareBuds Safe Volume Kids EarBuds are an affordable pair of earbuds for kids who want such which is many these days or headphones.

Coming in an attractive package they set the tone straight away at with what to expect, inside you get your usual manuals and extras which is for me great, you get a lanyard strap and loop for the earbuds to pop into so they do not get lost nor the case which is brilliant as adults are bad enough loosing an earbud or two or the case, you will not have to worry here with your child’s getting lost.

The earbuds themselves are a familiar stem shape with a two toned colour which is nice and matching accessorizes as mentioned above and there is simple controls for you child to use.

The MyFirst CareBuds have several controls but not all as expected from regular earbuds we go through these in the video review below. There is no companion app so it is an easy set-up.

You can manage calls skip and reverse tracks and play an pause and that is it this is all done by simple taps you can also change the transparency mode however this automatically adjusts when your child starts walking.

From a sound perspective the sound is fine for a child and do not expect what you would find from regular grown ups earbuds they are also safe on your child’s ears which is vital and your child will have no issue with how they sound unless more advanced but they are kids earbuds they keep your child safe and take into account the transparency mode.

Knowles Balanced Armature Drivers Power Status Audio’s New Pro X Premium Earbuds

Knowles Corporation, a leading manufacturer of specialty electronic components, including high performance capacitors, radio frequency (“RF”) filters, advanced medtech microphones, and balanced armature (BA) speakers, today announced that Status Audio has selected Knowles BA drivers for its new Status Pro X true wireless earbuds, featuring a rare triple-driver hybrid configuration with two Knowles BAs and one dynamic driver in each earbud. This distinctive combination delivers crystal clear sound that rivals many other hybrid true wireless stereo (TWS) designs currently in the market.

As consumer expectations for high-definition audio continue to evolve, this collaboration showcases the technical advantages of hybrid driver configurations in premium true wireless products. Status Pro X’s sophisticated acoustic system pairs the precision of Knowles’ miniaturized BAs with the power of a 12mm dynamic driver, resulting in a frequency response that captures both subtle sonic textures and dynamic range that single-driver designs cannot achieve.

The Status Pro X users have the option of selecting an equalizer setting including the Status Signature setting or the Knowles Curve setting, based on the Knowles Preferred Listening Response Curve, a breakthrough in audio engineering based on research that shows listeners across age ranges and hearing abilities prefer expanded treble response beyond 10 kHz for a more satisfying music experience.  By leveraging Knowles BA technology, Status Audio achieves the higher frequencies necessary to produce optimal audio performance and unlock intricate musical details while preserving the natural tonal balance audiophiles demand.

“Our BAs represent the pinnacle of miniaturized audio engineering,” said Jon Kiachian, President of MedTech and Specialty Audio at Knowles Corporation. “The collaboration with Status Audio exemplifies how our BA drivers can help innovative brands deliver truly exceptional audio experiences in remarkably compact form factors. The Status Pro X showcases exactly what becomes possible when cutting-edge driver technology meets thoughtful product design—an audio experience that reveals all the nuances and details of music that conventional earbuds simply cannot reproduce.”

Knowles BA drivers enable unprecedented sound performance for their size, allowing Status Audio to create an earbud that is 21 percent smaller than its previous model without compromising sound quality,  frequency range, or battery life. The high sensitivity of Knowles BAs also facilitates improved hearing personalization while maximizing power efficiency.

“When designing the Pro X, we needed a technology partner that could help us deliver on our promise of uncompromising audio quality in a more compact form,” said James Bertuzzi, Status Audio CEO.  “Knowles BA drivers were the clear choice, allowing us to achieve frequency response and detail that  would be impossible with conventional dynamic drivers alone. The combination results in a listening experience that truly differentiates the Pro X in today’s crowded earbud market.”

The Status Pro X earbuds are available for pre-order now, with shipping beginning early September. For more information on Knowles BAs, visit www.knowles.com/premiumsound. To learn more about Status Pro X, visit the Status Audio website.

Knowles Corporation (NYSE: KN), a leading manufacturer of specialty electronic components for innovative technologies, including capacitors, radio frequency (“RF”) filters, advanced medtech microphones, and balanced armature speakers, announced that SB C&S Corp., a SoftBank Corp. group company, has selected Knowles balanced armature (BA) drivers for its latest premium true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds under the GLIDiC audio brand.

Tech Review – DC Comics Superman TWS Wireless Earphones

Superhero branded products always catches peoples eyes and it is not the first time we have tested such here and there is more to come on that front but today we have the OTL technologies Superman themed earbuds and whilst they look good the sound is an important factor to take into account and with the really cheap price point they come in at how do they sound is what people will want to know and we have been testing these for a bit now and it is time to talk about them.

They come well presented in a simple superman themed box and with some extra tips and a USB-C cable to get you going and the case is plastic with a glossy finish but free from attracting fingerprints the overall case does feel light and cheap but remember the price here.

The earbuds design is fine with me and average and they fit really well and snug and will not all out of your ears, these for me are more so aimed at kids but this does not mean anyone else can use them. There is decent isolation of the outside world once fitted with the right tips and you are good to go.

There is no app here which is acceptable for me and again I do think these are aimed at a younger generation and it also keeps the cost down, there is no wireless charging on the case either. Battery life is decent enough and without having ANC and other features that demand some power and 6 hours is acceptable at this price, in my testing around 5hr 30 mins was more accurate.

So with the lack on an App and EQ settings how do they sound and what controls have we got. You can skip and reverse, play/pause a track, answer/reject phone calls or activate voice assistant and there is also volume control. So it is a simple affair and simple to use.

Overall the sound was on the deep side with bass and doable but for a child or teenager they are fine there was no distortion at max volume and do a decent all round job, you might want a third part EQ to try get a better balance for your if you are an older person but for kids these are fine, anyone that is older perhaps expecting more out them when it comes to customising may look elsewhere.

Tech Review – JBL Quantum TWS earbuds

With a myriad of earbuds out there today there is certainly good choice for those who want some more when they set out for new earbuds or upgrade and the options are getting better day by day and those who need more in certain instances JBL are providing such. As our readers know we have a multiple earbuds in from JBL and are testing them as we speak but our focus will be more detailed in the video as we have lots to get through and of course with a look at the app which has many new features and different set-ups as you would have seen in recent JBL reviews and more to come. Search here for the latest reviews from JBL and keep an eye out for more hands on reviews with context. See the unboxing here of the Quantum TWS the Tour One headphones and the Tune Flex earbuds. As mentioned before at their Dublin launch event they showcased their latest products and you can see that here.

The Quantum TWS are after throwing a bit of a spanner in the works for me anyway with how they sound and what they offer and for those who want more as mentioned these have an extra piece thrown into the party being a dongle which allows you to connect to external devices like your consoles and so on to have better latency which also works well from my testing. This can be used on your phone too but I feel there is no need for it been honest but this also worked on my TV with an adapter which makes them even better again for home use. You can buy third party dongles but I find these often do not pair up well with other products but this being a JBL standalone product of course it works perfectly well.

The case is a familiar shape with LED lights up front and sadly missing wireless charging this time around, not a huge deal for me but the case is pocketable and has a Glossy/Matt finish. The earbuds have stems which is fine by me and fit well and stay put. The controls are touch controls this time but work well with a large enough area covered by the JBL logo to get the job done accurately.

Of course we have the JBL app to avail of which again enhances the user experience giving you control, we have gone through this several times in our reviews but here is some idea of what to expect and see more in the video review.

When it comes to the sound I am not going to go through the usual terms used all you need to know but they are great with great bass and very punchy with 10mm drivers and with the EQ in the app you are in control for gaming movies and music these are better than expected and at the price point and with the gamer element thrown in both gamers and those who want audio have a complete package here and will no be disappointed at all. The ANC worked really well on these too and for me one of the better offerings out there at this price again.

In short if you are a gamer and like audio these should be on your list of earbuds and are affordable and with the Google extras on them makes it even more sweet. See the video for more below.

Tech Review – JBL Live Pro 2 True Wireless

It is great to see some new tech from JBL and the first review we have is their latest true wireless earbuds the all new Live Pro 2 and there is plenty more to come from the brand this year and it all looks good from seeing it hands on at their launch event last month in Dublin, for the last few weeks I have been testing the latest true wireless and I have been very impressed with them.

The presentation is as always great with JBL products especially their earbuds which come in the traditional box we are all familiar with and you can see the full unboxing on our YouTube channel where we go hands on with all our tech for better context check out the presentation and unboxing HERE

Again these can easily be an airpod alternative and most likely better due to the new features provided and again Apple have a serious competitor on their hands here given the love they get and for me these are again better and cheaper, better build looks and design too so an all round winner in those departments.

They fit really well too and again like any earbuds check out the tips and get the right fit to get the full audio experience as within the app you get to ensure the fir is right and it might take a few goes to get this right which was a bit annoying however it is worth it in the end trust me, the fit is snug once you pick the right tips great noise isolation that is notable straight away and you cant really ignore that fact when trying them out. After that you are good to go once you check out the app and we go through this in the video review so you can see what you are getting.

The app itself has plenty of features which are great and you can control your earbuds from there or from the buds themselves, also I must point out take the left side out first then the second to get both going do not take both out at the same time as I have had several ask about not being able to connect one side.

The sound is where it matters most for people and they are fantastic, they are loud punchy nice bass highs lows and mids are fine and direction, they for me are one of the best earbuds so far this year and up there a the top tier costing less money competitors and giving better sound and app options to play around with to get the right notes for you.

You have 11mm drivers in these guys and six mics so calls are also great and during my testing both ends clear, noise cancelling on these is also pretty good and one of the best ones in this area this year and you have other options to play with with ambient and hear your own voice which is not present in many earbuds today. One thing missing that could of been included was the support for aptx codec but with the app you can fine tune to your own needs and still get an excellent audio experience at a great price.

You get extra niceties with wireless charging and quick charge too which helps and also what is cool is the use of Google assistant again we demo this in the video below so do check that out for more details. You also get dual connect and you have an IPX5 rating. On a budget of the asking price then? Pick these up you will not be disappointed.
