Tech Review – Vonmählen High Six – The Most Compact 6 in 1 Fast Charging Cable

We have seen many similar attempts at a product like this before and well some have worked and some have not and this one works for several reasons and reduces the need to carry extra cables with you when this does it in one and more and not only that it has a bottle opener built in to the tough stainless steel case. Also note this is a pre release unit and the following is to be noted.

The cable sits too tightly in the stainless-steel casing, cause it to scratch the cable when removing it from the casing. This will be loosened

There are still small gaps when the adapters are connected to the cable, and the USB A adapter. The gap will be significantly reduced.

The stainless-steel casing is shinier than we want it to be. The final color will be slightly more matte, which will also alter the appearance of final color of the product.

The Rose Gold cable needs to be adjusted so that the color of the cable and the adapters are consistent.

The aesthetics of the magnet will be improved: The magnet will be less shiny, and there will be no visible glue.

The lightning adapter speed and data transmission is not functioning as expected. This will be improved to our expected specifications before we go into mass production

The USB-A port size will be adjusted as it sits too tightly in the ports, causing scratches after normal use. The size of the USB-A adapter will be adjusted.

High Six offers

  • Data and charging cable with fast charging capabilities (up to 60 watts) for your keychain.
  • USB-C to USB-C connector
  • Includes additional connectors for USB-A, micro-USB and Lightning
  • Stainless steel case doubles as a bottle opener
  • Data transfer rate of 480 Mbit/s
  • Compact size of 12 x 16.5 x 61 mm
  • Weight: 16.5 grams
  • Available in three different colors: Black, rose gold and silver

The charging speeds are

  • USB – C to USB – C = PD 60W 3A
  • USB – C to Micro – USB = 2.4A
  • USB – C to Lightning = 2.4A
  • USB – A to USB – C = PD 60W 3A
  • USB – A to Micro – USB = 2.4

Who is this for

Well anyone really and in particular one who travels as someone who does bringing multiple cables is a pain and you often misplace them, also with other similar products I have tried before you certainly misplace the little tips but this has magnets and you can place the tips on it which is really cool.

If you have more than one product this is also ideal as you can charge just about anything except micro – usb products which is far and few between however there is still plenty of tech on the market and also tech we use today..

Tech Review – Urbanista Lisbon True Wireless earbuds

The Urbanista Lisbon is the latest on offer from the company and these are small earbuds in comparison to other out there and being so small I thought they might be an issue in my ears but there is a wing built in on these that make them a secure comfortable fit, they will feel a bit niggly to begin with and fitting them but once in the ears you are good to go and masy as well forget they are there because that is how it feels wearing them.

Fit and Comfort

Ok so yes these fit really well you might struggle if you are use to having bigger earbuds at the start but you will quickly adjust they are comfortable will not fall out and are easy to control given their size. These are the smallest earbuds I have used in a while and probably for me they felt a bit more awkward to begin with due to having big hands.

Controls

Controls are easy to use as mentioned and we have all you might expect from a pair of earbuds at this price point the tap area works well considered its size though and those with smaller fingers would find it easier overall but you will get the hang of it. The controls are simple and we go through this and how they work in the video review below.

Sound

When it comes to sound these deliver for the price, Urbanista have always had a good sound signature and this continues here, they are punchy with some base and overall with my usual test look did great, no lag latency and great on calls, highs lows and mids on point and a general good listening experience for the price you pay here, you cant really complain.

TRUE WIRELESS – Experience 9 hours of full freedom with our smallest true wireless earbuds yet.

COMPACT SIZE – With a portable case and earbuds weighing only 4g each, Lisbon is the perfect audio companion to carry with you wherever you go.

27 HOURS PLAYTIME Keep on going in style with up to 27 hrs of total playtime.

CASE CHARGE (2X) Small and compact charging case holding up to 2 extra charges.

Tech Review – Datalocker Sentry k350

At techbuzz over the years we have reviewed a variety of encrypted storage devices. This one ups the game in terms of the physical size with storage of 256 Gb with the Hardware Encryption security for a usb flash drive.  The kit looks like a cigarette lighter, slightly bigger with a keypad and display on the front for entering digits. The packaging while simplistic in design had all the usual specifications and compatibility listed. The material is strongly made of an epoxy coating for the chip and flash protects it from physical intrusion from water (IP67 rating) with an excellent transfer rate of data.

Install & setup

It is important to read the quick start guide, instructions which consist of plug in, change the password and use, but caution on using an overly complex password as like the old phones, having to press a few times to get a letter to pop up. This is displayed on the actual lcd display which is a positive. Passwords must contain a minimum of 8 characters. This should consist of a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters for your password. Some examples of invalid passwords are: ‘78901234’, ‘43210987’, ’12345678’, ‘1111111.

Installation took less than a minute to set up a new password. Due to the physical length of the flash drive it is recommended to keep the laptop stationary to ensure it is not damaged if moving around.

Advanced user or group admin can use a Safe Console,

This has a group policy which can control all the relevant memory sticks as the administration to include a SilentKill code which would allow the unit to be configured to Self-Destruct if triggered.

  • support@datalocker.com: Feedback and feature requests
  • datalocker.com: General information
  • datalocker.com/warranty: Warranty information

See techbuzz video link for speed transfer rates which are in line with the manufacturers transfer speeds (Speed USB 3.2: – 150MB/S Read, 100MB/s Write)

Conclusion

Most students in the first year of college will be advised on the importance of having a backup while the hybrid model of working increases the risks of taking data off site.

GDPR will have made most of the IT networks aware of the consequences of a lost data in terms of travelling with data and taking work home, companies are constantly at risk from unprotected data on an unsecured USB flash drive.  Many millions of unprotected USB drives are lost / stolen every year

The implications can be immense: lost reputation, lost jobs, lost profits, customer data, financial information, business plans, confidential information are only some examples of the data that are usually stored and transported.  The question then becomes not if to use an encrypted pen drive, rather what type of model and size or to use an alternative method in the cloud. The K350 has an easily navigated keyboard which is password protected, FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified, encrypted USB drive with a display screen that makes setup and operation for the non-technical people while providing all the advanced features which may be expected to be set up by a security team.

Datalocker Sentry k350 connected to pc techbuzzireland

The advanced feature would suit those of an enterprise nature but can also be used as an individual.  Datalocker is separated from many other encrypted devices via the option to remotely manage a fleet of devices via safe control. Many people may consider speed, copy, and write as a major factor for a usb key, this should not be the primary consideration, rather looking at an overview People Process and Technology.  Typically, people are the weak link which means the easier for a person to use the product the better chance it will be used as required. The 3-year warranty is also a major factor to ensure quality, reliability to ensure if a problem the data is backed up and can be restored. Datalocker has a variety of secure encrypted devices up to 7.6TB capacity in some of their models which we hope to get our hands on for future reviews.

Overall excellent quality build, 3-year warranty, ticks the encryption standards, easy to use which the option to expand as required, and excellent decision should a device go missing

“This could be the best choice made this year if a device goes missing “

Math and Statistics Behind Databases Management

Data management is part of the data science field. It is a versatile field that includes mathematical knowledge, statistics, algorithms, and other technology to analyze and compile data to gain insight. Math plays a crucial role in databases management. All math concepts can be applied in some form to help sort and organize data and even analyze information that has already been collected.

The main concern among students studying database management is that they will have to be good at math to be successful. It is the role of the mathematicians and statisticians to create the database that is being managed. Your part will be sifting through the data to determine how it will be used. Whether you seek a career as a security analyst, software developer, or programmer, having a data management background and education can pave the road to a great future.

Applied Mathematics

As a student studying data science in college, you should have a strong background in math. Studying applied mathematics for database professionals is essential as it will teach you how to use modern techniques to find hidden relationships in large data sets. Applied mathematics is quite complex, and many students will require multiple courses.

There will be times when math help may be required. The main focus of these courses is learning how math is used to solve problems by using different methods. You may face a challenge where you need assistance with an applied mathematics project or event some calculus. If you need help with math problems, online tutors are available, and you can also get help from other students if you are involved in online studying groups or forums.

When studying applied math, you will have to take various courses in computer science, physics, and even statistics. This can all be overwhelming at times, which is why it is essential you know where to turn for help. To earn a degree and start a successful math database management career, mastering applied mathematics will be necessary.

Math Skills Involved in Database Management

When developing or programming a database, specific mathematical skills are required. Students studying database programming will want to be sure they take appropriate courses to learn the basics of set theory, relational algebra, relational calculus, and logic. These skills will allow managers to handle all types of database projects with little or no problems.

Linear algebra is also involved, and computers will use this for performing calculations. All databases will make use of computations that are performed using linear algebra. Calculus also plays a vital role in the ability to increase accuracy and performance in mathematical models. You will find there are different types of database management, and most will require a background and solid skills in math.

Relational Database Management

A relational database is a specific form of a database that uses a structure to identify and access data relative to other pieces of data within the same database. This is often sorted into tables that can include thousands of rows referred to as records. Columns are also used, and these use a descriptive name and contain specific types of data.

When using a relational database management system, you will be using a program that will let users create and administer the database. Most of these systems heavily rely on the theory of SQL, a programming language used to communicate with the stored data. This language is easy to learn since it is pretty similar to English. It is often one of the first courses taken when studying database management.

SQL may not be complex, but it will require a background in math and statistics. Statistics will be used to estimate the distribution of values that will be placed in columns as well as the number of rows. As a student, you will want to take a course in statistics and learn how to contribute to a database. While database management does not require much statistic knowledge, having some will be beneficial, especially if you will be required to perform any statistical reviews that may be required.

Conclusion

Earning a degree in this exciting field can open the door to many careers. You can get started with a great job with just a Bachelor’s degree and can start working in the field of finance, marketing, and even information technology. Working in this field often requires strong math skills, and you are also required to use the latest technology to organize and analyze data. You will also learn valuable soft skills that can help land jobs in this evolving industry as you take classes.

With an educational focus on database management, you will have many roads to take when selecting a career. Students often work in various fields like Finance, Web Development, Business Intelligence, Health Informatics, and Cybersecurity.

GameSir Announce their updated VX2 AimBox with 3.5mm and PS5 Support

Finally experience the accuracy and precision of PC gaming on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

GameSir, the developer of industry leading, high-performance gaming peripherals, are pleased to announce the release of the GameSir VX2 AimBox. The multi-compatible keyboard & mouse adapter is designed to help console gamers take control of their playing-style by merging the benefits of PC gaming with the comfort of consoles.

With the ability of increased movement and precision aiming, PC gaming has often been associated with faster, more intense gameplay styles. As console gamers join in the fun online, and more PC gamers decide to ditch their dusty towers for a more comfortable gaming lifestyle on console, it’s important that they have all the tools in their arsenal to compete. The GameSir VX2 is a useful and powerful solution, that provides console gamers the option to maximise comfort and outperform their competition.

The updated VX2 Aimbox comes with additional support for the PlayStation 5 and introduces new 3.5mm audio support – a feature that many of the ‘footstep’ savvy listeners out there will be sure to appreciate.

Recognising the growing importance of exclusive games on PlayStation 5, and the increasing cross-compatibility between platforms for online games like Fortnite, Call of Duty and more, GamesSir wanted to make sure that users could have the option of using a keyboard and mouse. As a result, alongside existing compatibility with Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, the VX2 is now compatible with PS5 games when using Sony licensed third-party controllers.

Alongside this, GameSir have introduced audio support for the VX2. Being able to effectively communicate with your teammates and immerse yourself in the soundscape of a game can be half of the fun and, in some games, half of your performance. So, the VX2 now includes a 3.5mm audio input that allows users to plug in and chat with their friends and listen to in-game sounds. Unfortunately, this feature is, however, not yet compatible with PS5.

As well as improving the VX2, GameSir have also retained the reliable charm of the original version. With three USB ports and Agility Translator Technology, movements are conveyed with 1:1 gaming accuracy helping gamers avoid unwanted latency issues and, ultimately, react more consistently in-game.

Keeping it’s sturdy, reliable construction the updated VX2 keeps its durable injection-moulded casing. And, under the hood, sandwiched between the motherboard and the outer wall, you’ll find a solid counterweight designed to keep the product firmly on the table. With four additional anti-slip silicone feet that prevent any surprising slippages during intense sessions, gamers can be reassured that one misplaced slap of the table won’t send their VX2 flying across the room.

To provide gamers with even more options to customise their experience, the updated VX2 is also compatible with the GameSir App. Using bluetooth, gamers can fine-tune their mouse, camera, joystick, keybinds and lighting settings with the tap of a button on their smartphones. This especially helps with moving between games, when your setup and configuration may need to be tweaked in order to suit different play-styles or gameplay mechanics – a shoot ‘em up, for example, needs very different settings from a platforming game.

With some welcome improvements, the updated VX2 continues to allow console gamers to enjoy a PC Gaming experience from the comfort of their living room.

The GameSir VX2 is available for £44.55 ($59.99) and comes with one Micro USB Cable, a Type-C Cable and a GameSir sticker.
