Tech Review – SHURE Aonic 40 wireless headphones

The Shure Aonic 40 are one of their latest new headphones to hit the market and the first pair of cans in 2022 and I have been testing these bad boys out and have been impressed with my findings, Shure who is a well know brand and deliver on Audio experience have a nice pair of headphones here and I think anyone who tries these out will be impressed. Comfort

Comfort is excellent here even over long periods of use which I tend to do with my headphones be it at home or out on a walk, the latter I tend not to do much but do so to test them out, no sweating head clamping or fatigue was noted even over 4 hour sessions and for some gaming and this is good to see, though the environment and temperature might differ for others.

Controls

Laid out simple, the keys might be a but small for those with bigger hands like me for example but got the muscle memory going rather quickly as I went straight in with these for a few days alongside my other review products, the keys work well and function as they are meant to and placed on the right side where you can control volume tracks and more there is a pairing key on the left side, the power key is multifunctional and you can get your battery status here and clear paired device list, I tested these on an iPhone 13 pro and Google Pixel 6 and all worked perfectly fine.

The center button plays a part here too which is in between the volume up and down keys where you can skip and reverse tracks and restart tracks if you wish, you can control your calls here too and activate voice assistant if you desire..

Sound is great on these even without the app however when you use the app this changes there is several profiles on the app to switch between and here you can clearly hear a difference unlike other headphones out there between these and especially between the ANC and Environment modes and is quite remarkable, again unlike subtle changes you might often find but here there is a clear definition between all.

As for the audio experience it is also great and with the enhancement of the app as mentioned they are a joy to listen to for hours on end with no lag latency and just select the profile that suits you best sit back and take it in whatever you prefer to pick but do test them all and hear the difference and that is what these are all about. Bass is great and so is highs lows and mids and direction.

Battery life is also quite good however this differs per person and the settings applied as we all know but a 15 minute charge commands you another 5 hours of with quick charge and overall you can expect around 25 hours in total which will again differ, there is more out there that offer more but again they may not offer the quick charge feature.

First look – SHURE Aonic 40 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

Only recently Shure announced a new line up of products and these are aimed at more so creators and musicians but not only that they launched the new Aonic 40 and they have just landed here and we look forward to checking them out and are the first pair of headphones to land in 2021, we have many other really cool products here in house and more on the way so be sure to stay tuned for more, today however we feast our eyes on the latest pair of cans from SHURE which I look forward to testing out as the latter end of 2021 was an earbud bonanza and we have plenty of new full reall hands on reviews coming your way.

SHURE Champions Women And Non-Binary Podcasters In The First International Women’s Podcast Awards

The first edition of the International Women’s Podcast awards was celebrated and live-streamed globally at the AllBright in London on 23rd September. The awards recognise the work of women and non-binary podcasters worldwide. Shure, as headline partners, sponsored the category “Changing the World One Moment at a Time,” awarding winner Laura Joyce Davis with a special gold-plated SM7B microphone for her work on Shelter in Place podcast.

 

The International Women’s Podcast Awards (IWPA) is organised by The Skylark Collective, a network that aims to give visibility and support to women and non-binary podcasters around the world by showcasing their narratives and elevating their voices. 2 in 5 people are content creators according to new study.

More people than ever are sharing their talents by creating podcasts, making music, streaming, and gaming. According to the latest research from Futuresource, long-term partner of Shure, 2 in 5 people across the globe are content creators, with more than 40 million people in the world identifying specifically as audio content creators – individuals producing content that requires studio quality audio.

These individuals spent more than 75% more money on their passion projects in 2020 compared to 2019. And, even as the world has slowly reopened to more typical routines, creators aren’t slowing down.

Based on Futuresource’s data, most content creators (65%) shared that they expected the time they spend on their work to increase over the next 12 months. More than half (59%) of those same individuals are already spending more than three hours a week crafting content.

The study also found that creatives are bringing their passions to life through all types and styles of content. The 40 million+ audio content creators are making music, DJ’ing, beat-making, crafting social content and videos, podcasting, and streaming their video gameplay.

The International Women’s Podcast Awards will be hosted at the Allbright in London on 23rd September 2021 by acclaimed presenter, author and journalist Vick Hope of BBC Radio 1, with additional support from Acast, Blubrry, Captivate FM and Redhead PR. Entries are open to podcasters worldwide until Friday 13th August 2021, and the ceremony will be live-streamed internationally. The International Women’s Podcast Awards aims to help level the playing field for women in this exciting and evolving industry, by rewarding and elevating the unsung podcast hosts, editors,producers and writers out there whose work deserves recognition. To many, the joy of podcasting lies in its intimacy, in the atmosphere created between the host, guest and listener, and in the moments of incredible sensitivity, humour or honesty that keep people engrossed.

The International Women’s Podcast Awards celebrate these intimate moments of podcasting brilliance, and the women that make them happen. It doesn’t matter if they’ve had 100 downloads or 100 million, the awards are open to everyone in podcasting that identifies as a woman ornon-binary.

Tech Review – SHURE Aonic 215 True Wireless. #SHURE #Tech

SHURE is a well known audio brand but perhaps not so much at consumer level and is a company geared for audiophiles in the music industry for example but now they have launched true wireless for the consumer and the 215 TWS are what is on offer giving the consumer an idea of what they can do.

Fit is really good here and they will not move so if you jog or go to the gym these are perfect, comfort is also great and with the comply foam tips they offer good isolation straight away. Once on you will forget they are there after a while. The controls are great, a big circular button that gives you options to control music on the go, minus volume control. The thing to take note of here is you dont touch the earbud which in some cases put pressure on the ears making commands and so on.

Sound quality is clean not with a heavy bass but overall clean crisp and clear with vocals, music, direction and instruments it is a well balanced set up and only boosted with their own app which is great to see, Calls are great however only on the one side and the same for independent use. This is common enough though with true wireless earbuds so not a huge issue in fairness. There is also no lag latency here when using for videos or Netflix for example..

Battery life is quite good at the higher end of the scale, Given the case is bigger than normal it works well and keeps your earbuds secure and looks high end with the materials used and will turn heads when sat on a table.  Overall these are a great set of earbuds to have and for those into fitness and they show what the company can do and I would love to see how their headphones fair out too.
