Conclusion:

The Manufacturers quote the Jabra Elite Active 8 as the world’s toughest earbuds, which is done without adding bulk to the earphones or reducing the audio quality or deterioration in the battery life, keeping a remarkable 8 hours or 32 hours with the case. The adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation was excellent in reducing noise in the background but was noticeable on calls, colleagues in the background voice could be heard on the other end of the calls. The bass may not be as good as other Jabra products, but There was a fair balance between, mids, and highs, with impressive adaptive noise cancellation and Dolby Spatial audio features.

The ability to connect multiple phones. laptops via the multimode technology is a must for me having a variety of products connected and any one time. The ability to use only one earbud as required is a handy feature when multitasking. The Jabra Elite Active 8 design looked similar to many other Jabra products but the Secure in-ear fit worked very well and did not fall out even during challenging situations making them ideal for exercise and outdoor activities due to its durable build and strong ANC. The software via the Jabra Sound+ app has worked seamlessly and connected to phones as would be expected from Jabra. Another great product from Jabra with a bonus of durability with great battery life.

Tech Review – Jabra Elite 10

The Jabra Elite 10 have been the latest earbuds to sit in my ears for some time now and is the latest and greatest from their company alongside their Elite Active 8 which are again one of their latest additions to their line up of products. The packaging is again familiar keeping in line with the portfolio keeping them distinguished from other in the market and a brand easy to recognize in store.

The presentation again is excellent and that can be seen in the unboxing video with the Elite Active 8 which has been recently reviewed here. The case design has slightly changed on this and appears taller and thinner and the earbud design itself is again familiar with nice clicky controls giving a satisfying click and getting the job done first time rather than missing inputs which can happen on some earbuds.

The earbuds fit well with the newly shaped tips and give decent passive noise isolation out of the box and has a rubberized coating on the housing, they still fit well and will not fall out of the ears even when training and offers an IP57 rating but it is the sound that most people want to know about which we will discuss later and in the video review below. The Jabra Advanced ANCTM which blocks out 2x more noise than Jabra’s standard ANC and from my testing is accurate so again making these ideal for calls on the go and of course enjoying your music to the fullest and calls also came out well on both ends when testing and even in the wind which we had plenty of lately.

Battery life is decent to and on par with their claims on a standard users viewpoint, a heavy user like me however turns things up the max with volume and EQ settings so I get a bit less which is the norm here but overall decent battery life and again wireless charging is present here which I am glad was not dropped. In real testing about 26 hours in total was seen with my settings and another great feature is multipoint pairing with bluetooth 5.3 which for me is a vital feature with any pair of earbuds, I can live without it but is a feature I require.

The app once again is packed with features and also ensure you do the full set-up in the app to get the best out of the earbuds, this is the case for many earbuds today and I recommend not to skip as many folks do and is a question I often get from people buying earbuds on my word saying they are not enjoying them and this is the reason why, if the feature is there it is there to be used so use it.

Jabra Elite 10 earbuds – techbuzzireland

The controls work a treat as mentioned above and the sound is again top notch as expected and this time around we have head tracking on board which is a feature we are now seeing more of and is excellent, you might ask what head tracking is and it is simply keeping the audio balanced as you would hear in real life in your ears when your head is tuned in a different direction keeping it simple, you may of heard of the term “spatial audio”. So for example if you turn your head to the right the audio sounds more in the left side. It’s cool if you have not tried it yet. With the Jabra Elite 10 you have Dolby Atmos with the head tracking keeping things immersive.

So when it comes to sound you know what the answer is here, it once again is great with highs lows and mids all balanced well, good volume great bass and more but you have the Sound+ app to help you along and customise things to your requirements and you can see below the screenshots taken from the app as well as a tour of the app in the video review.

With any Jabra earbuds you will be onto a winner with sound and these are not different however I did find them a little brighter overall than previous models but this is fine as they can be fine tuned, everyone’s ears are different and thoughts are subjective but from someone who tests the biggest range of earbuds in Ireland if you are in the market for a new pair of earbuds these are certainly an easy recommend from me if you want to shell out the euros, as cost is a thing for many these days.

You get what you pay for in today’s world for the most things in life and I believe many invest in their earbuds these days due to travel and work use and with the Jabra Elite 10 you have it all and are an investment if they are the right fit for your needs which the Elite 10 kinda cover all peoples needs with their latest installment. Many still compare today Apple Airpods Pro as a benchmark and I have tested them with a loan from a friend but still to this day do not own a pair of them because simply they are hyped up and do not live up to my expectations and there is better out there for less money and if you are a long time user of Jabra earbuds you know who wins here.

Tech Review – emporia SMART.6 user-friendly 5G smartphone

The emporia SMART.6 user-friendly 5G smartphone has been a daily driver for a bit now and compared to current smartphones this is a breeze to use without all the cumbersome sub menus you get today which can make it difficult for some especially those coming from dumb phones and feature phones which are a thing again for people detoxing from social media and more.

The emporia SMART.6 though does not look cheap nor feel cheap and it is their best built phone to date with a good weight to it too and at first glance when showing friends etc they asked what in the name of god is this one. So of course I explained what this phone is about and who it is for and let them play around with it and they could see the simplicity in using it without all the fuss and how easy it is to navigate through which was refreshing for them.

They liked the cover display and the 4 key button set up that lights up and I do too which is simply 4 shortcuts to access simple things like calls and camera and torch, you still have your big panel up top displaying other information in big clear numbers and letter just like you will find in the menus on the phone UI.

The camera array on the back is nicely set out too and not a cumbersome block you find on many of today’s phones and you have a heart labelled button there if you press and hold you can instantly call the emergency services which I accidently pressed on testing but can clarify it works.

You also have face unlock and fingerprint sensor on board here and these worked quite well however in darker environments the face unlock is less reliable but this can be the same on many traditional smartphones.

We have a decent camera and video performance too which for the target market of this device they will be happy with you can see the samples in the video review below, I did have to review this device with and older person in mind but did test other apps such as social media and emails as I tend to find now the older population using smart phones but would not use their full capabilities and would have some knowledge of how they work.

Technically, the emporia E6 plays in the same league as the Samsung A series or Apple refurbished. Latest 5G technology, top camera and Camera Pro, NFC, fingerprint sensor, voice input. The emporia E6 is a product that was created in collaboration directly with the target group. In countries such as the Federal Republic of Germany, Great Britain, Italy and France there were workshops in which the participants defined their demands and wishes for the smartphone of the future. The result: “A smartphone as it should be”.

Overall a solid phone that does more than one might think, and a huge upgrade to the emporia smart 4 having tested in two capacities it has worked well with no issues even doing some video editing on the device itself and for my social media it did not hang up shut down or anything like other smartphones have done especially with video editing apps on board, call quality is fine too and overall a simple phone to use without all the convoluted mess you find today on smartphones.

Features

  • Popular 5G smartphone, 6.58 inch touch display
  • Contemporary, Android 13
  • Beautiful photos, triple main camera 50+2+TOF megapixels
  • Selfie camera 8 megapixels
  • On and off button with fingerprint sensor
  • Smart cover with 4 buttons

Tech Review – Wanbo-X2 Max projector

I have several projectors at home and love them all and are one of my favourite pieces of tech to review and enjoy watching my content on. Wanbo have sent us their latest on offer which is the Wanbo-X2 Max projector packed with features, the spec sheet looks good but it is all down to how it comes across for your viewing that counts and we will be taking a close look at this model, one of several the company has on offer at affordable prices.

With this projector you can do many things with and feel more immersed with the bigger picture so to speak and not only that you get big sound which is great, some projectors dish out poor sound but not this one it is loud and punchy with some nice bass in there no distortion or lag latency either noted during testing.

The picture though is what people like to know about these projectors and the picture is good on this no matter what you may use it for, it can be used for gaming watching movies and much more and you can of course cast from your device and hook up your laptop and consoles to see things in all their glory.

The quality is decent even on a darker wall I tried out and came out good overall we have native 1080p present and 450 ANSI which gives a brighter video to watch unlike 720p would in a projector. Some say you would need over 1000 lumens or ANSI to get a better picture which is a fair comment it all depends on how good you want the quality to be but as you will see in the video review below 450 is plenty for simple home use.

This projector has an AI image engine and auto focus and 4 points keystone correction again often left out from previous ones I have review at this price and it works well here and perfect if you have no idea spot to place or mount the projector you can still get the picture square on a wall even if not place directly in front of it.

How big you want the picture also depends on you and the closer the better quality which is obvious but there is three noted focal lengths or screen sizes from 50 120 inches which is ideal and of course you need to try out the 120 inch, if you have a white background of projector screen you will get better results too but this can be projected onto blinds or a darker wall and the picture comes through and not seeing pixels from the desired distance.

Wanbo-X2 specs

The UI is simple to use and navigate and there is tonnes of preloaded apps there is some restrictions as always with projectors but you can get around these easily enough with the know how or just ask someone who does. The noise is also not too loud as some can be from projectors and is tolerable when in use and if you turn your volume up like you should there will be no fan noise to worry about. To top it off you can also use this as a general music player/speaker by simply connecting your device and it has decently loud 2X5W speakers and finally Dual Band 6 Wi-Fi as mentioned above so no lag latency seen during my use so far.

One small gripe for me is the power cable is a bit on the short side.

Tech Review – AENO Premium Eco Smart LED Heater

It is coming in the Winter months now and it already has some reach for their electric blankets and turning on their heating which is what we do and no better time to check out a new Premium Eco Smart LED Heater from Aeno. This is the latest piece of tech for the home we have been testing out over the last while coming up to the Christmas Season.

This heater can be placed on the ground or wall/ceiling mounted so there is choice and does not have to be a fixed heater, today most people tend to use portable heaters and this is certainly portable and not only that it does no look like a heater at first glance, it literally takes two minutes to set up on its legs if you are leaving it on the floor and the job is done and you can still move it around the house should you wish to do so.

The design is quite nice it is thin 11mm to be exact and light and looks like a wide monitor PC screen when you first take it out and set it up, there is controls on the sides but you have an app to do other changes and set things up to your needs which is handy and we take a look at this in the video review below.

One of the standout features of AENO Smart Heaters is their ability to SMART Mode when it is needed to maintain a configurable comfortable temperature without loss of electricity to the air. All models of AENO heaters are more efficient than other types of heaters and heating methods (convectional heating, air conditioning, floor heating, central heating). The heating is done through infrared rather than convection.

The AENO app – techbuzzireland

Quickly and effectively uses the whole 700+ Watts of power without wasting heat and money. Panel temperature can be changed through the application from 120 degrees Celcius to 60 degrees Celcius change the range of temperatures from 700W+ to 150W+. It cost me about 8 euro a week to run.

It is twice as efficient as a conventional heater. Once the room is heated to a set temperature, the heater automatically switches off, not wasting electricity, while upkeeping the room temperature (in SMART Mode). Upkeeping the room temperature is always cheaper. You can save energy and money and stay warm for the entire heating season. Traditionally the portable heaters you find in electrical stores today are not very economical on your electricity bill and don’t tend to be too expensive and this is the reason why so if you want to save money and have a stylish looking heater spending the extra money pays off in the long run.

Finally being able to control this with an app you can have your room heated before you get home a the tap of a button if you have not set a timer which in the Winter months is a win and checking my costings on my meter vs this it does save money and does not have to be left on all day and you are total control.

Tech Review – XbotGo AI tracking sports gimbal

The XbotGo AI Sports Gimbal is a versatile tool designed to effortlessly capture and live stream team sports like soccer, basketball, and football. Ideal for sports enthusiasts and parents eager to record their children’s games or practices, this gimbal ensures you won’t miss a moment of the action. In tandem with this we also use their T4 tripod which proved super beneficial and stable compared to others including the one I use to catch the product in action on a windy day so I would advise getting this as well as the gimbal for better results.

The gimbal is not like other per se but could be used however the structure and set up is familiar like others and gimbal users will have no time at all getting going it takes about 5 minutes to get set up and running on site and you let the product do all the work for you which is what I like most.

There is some parameters to fill in depending on the sport or if used in single use like we tested in as there is no sports activities on now with the holidays it proved beneficial and just works all the time.

There is some controls on the product too should you need to adjust things somewhat and again simple to follow there is a shutter key on the rear which doubles as a volume key on iPhone, there is a joystick and mode button too for your convenience.

To get set up you need to get the balance right on your phone and when you open the arm you will need to set the device right on it to get the best results and once set each time you turn it on it will automatically set up, you can easily toggle between modes and then just let the AI tracking do its job it is quite impressive again it is ideal for those in the sports industry to monitor individuals or team work and you just sit back and check the results later.

Another benefit to this is the option to live stream which again is excellent for local league matches and so on or a school team sports for example and overall an ideal product that is not expensive to get the job done for those into sports and again I would advise getting their tripods for optimal results which are smooth ones at that and does not jerk freeze or go off track. Check the video for more below to see what is in the app and how it works.

Key features include:

  • Hands-free recording of team sports.
  • User-friendly app for intuitive control.
  • Advanced auto-tracking utilizing pose and motion tracking technology.
  • Superior image stabilization for clear, uninterrupted footage.
  • Compact, foldable design for easy portability.
  • Intelligent shooting modes, including panoramic shots with up to 340° coverage.
  • No subscription or hidden fees.
  • Compatible with both Android and iOS; available on Google Play and the App Store.
  • Recommended accessories: The T1 tripod (3.77ft) for basketball, and the T4 tripod (13ft) for soccer (football).
  • Compatible Remote Control – sold separately

Tech Review – CANYON Car Video Recorder DVR10GPS – Dashcam

The CANYON DVR10GPS  is one of many dashcams on offer from the company and the first time for us to test one out, We test many dashcams here and I always say every car should have them fitted as standard but to date it is not the case and leaves plenty of room in the market for you to go pick what suits your pockets and needs.

Setting up takes about ten minutes in total with getting the app downloaded then installing into your vehicle and if you are familiar with dashcams it will be no trouble, the UI on the app is simple to navigate using the keys on the device itself and you will be ready in no time regardless.

Equipped with a powerful Sony Starvis 307 sensor, it captures impeccable footage even in low light. The expansive 140° field of view ensures comprehensive coverage, leaving no detail unseen. Enjoy effortless installation with the magnetic holder – a secure and convenient mount. Powered by a dependable supercapacitor, this device guarantees stable operation even in extreme temperatures and being recently below freezing here it worked with no issues.

There is also an app and of course WiFi to connect to the device with when you are on the go and allowing you to draw down footage when required and this can also be locked on the device so you do not overwrite it which is important. The controls on the unit itself are simple to use as in on the app so you can set up with either. The database is updated weekly too for speed cameras and so on.

The built-in GPS module allows you to track the speed and location of your vehicle. Forget about speeding fines – the speed cam function will always let you know about the speed control camera ahead. This recently worked well for me testing another dashcam in the UK not knowing all the roads to well so pay attention to warnings although we differ here with how they operate over there towards here in Ireland. I had no notifications as the previous dashcam which was like a community set-up despite deriving many miles with work.

Overall this is a nice product and simple to use which is important some dashcams can be a bit cumbersome and have a hard to navigate UI whereas this one is simple to use and get around and keep you and your vehicle protected, check out the video review below for more and what you will find in the app and what is on the dashcam itself and all the features.

Product features

  • Recording FullHD 1080p at 60 fps
  • 3-inch IPS Screen
  • Sony Starvis 307 sensor with Night Vision mode
  • 140° Field of View
  • Multi-Language application
  • WiFi connection and application control
  • GPS and speed cam function
  • Supercapacitor
  • Magnetic mount with power supply

Tech Review – Edifier Neobuds Pro 2

Well as you know we have been testing out the latest and greatest from Edifier and it is the NeoBuds Pro 2, having testing their previous pair i was expecting some new things here and we certainly got them and they are a pair of earbuds like last years worthy of having the Pro moniker on the name and users who have the last pair and jump up to this pair will be in for a treat again.

Design and build is quite similar to before with a solid case with the really nice LED light on the front but this time you can change the colour which is really cool it looked cool the last time but now even more, the case itself has a nice finish looks much better in the new colour we have and also has a USB- C port on the rear, it will fit in any pocket also which is handy and as expected.

The earbuds have some subtle changes but still look great and are a comfortable fit for me but with the eartip selection they will fit anyone and once fitted they offer an excellent seal giving good passive noise cancelling out of the box but its when you deep dive into the app is where everything changes and it gets even better than before.

When it comes to sound you are again onto a winner here but it is the array of other features on board here that makes them stand out like last years model which alone was one of the top earbuds for the money. We go through all of the features in the video review so you can get a clear guide of what to expect it is remarkable.

Highs lows and mids all great decently loud great volume and ANC Edifier has made an already great product even better which by no means is an easy thing to do with the earbud market very saturated and competitive with features there was nothing left out here unlike others that even cost more than what these do.

Edifier NeoBuds Pro Vs NeoBuds Pro 2 – techbuzzireland

On my usual test loop there was no issues at all no connection drop no lag latency not tinny sound even when using the highest volume or on any genre they just got it right again and it is a win all round for whoever picks them up and the other question i have been asked was are the NeoBuds Pro worth upgrading to these well in short the answer is a simple yes.

Check out the video review below for more and if you need some new earbuds this year and on the fence trust me these are certainly a pair easy to recommend to anyone.
