Tech Review – Creative Aurvana Ace earbuds

The Creative Aurvana Ace earbuds are the latest on offer from a duo announced not so long ago and we have been putting them the test over the last while and have been eagerly awaiting to do so due to the new xMEMS drivers that come inside them.

The design and build are pretty standard and this also applies to the ACE 2 which has a smokey transparent finish, the case is an average size and same for the buds themselves which have small stems and sit in the ear perfectly giving a secure fit and some passive noise isolation so in short ideal for anyone.

The earbuds are touch controlled and have settings to adjust them to your needs which is good to see you have all the features required from a pair of earbuds here such as play and pause skip and reverse tracks and of course your voice assistant plus an EQ in their app which is simple to use and navigate which you can see in the video review below.

There is 3 mics each side and there is 10 mm drivers inside these which might seem small for some but average for earbuds but they have solid state xMEMS drivers which gives you better sound quality and aptX and for the money the sound is excellent here and decently loud too which is how I like it.

There is also a low latency mode for gamers here and overall with the sound you can here more instruments and distinguish between the highs lows and mids and other noises you might not pick up on other earbuds giving more clarity all round and an enjoyable listening experince overall with no lag latency noted either or tinny sound when maxed out as how I use my earbuds, calls also crisp and clear both ends during my testing.

Tech Review – Chipolo One Item Tracker

The Chipolo One Bluetooth tracker is a compact and lightweight device designed to help you find your keys or other items it’s attached to. It comes in various bright colours and is inconspicuous when connected to a pair of keys, thanks to its small, plastic disc design. The tracker has a loud audio signal, making it easy to locate, and is splash-proof and water-resistant with an IPX5 rating. Setup and use,

Download the Chipolo app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Various terms and conditions are required to be accepted as part of the setup. Conclusion 

At techbuzz, we reviewed the Chipolo PLUS in May 2018 and the  Chipolo CARD Spot in June 2022, both were found to be solid and worked as required, while niggles were raised related to the battery, This model has a battery life of 2 years which is commendable but improved by the option to replace the battery as one with do with a watch battery.  In our review of the Chipolo One, we found it to be a practical and affordable choice for anyone prone to misplacing items. The device’s compatibility with both Android and iOS, as well as its free app with no subscription fees, further enhances its value. The simple design, with the ability to connect to any keys, key fobs, pet collars, or bags, and weighing only a few grams, makes it easy to forget until the item is lost or misplaced.

The extra features, such as a customizable ringtone, remote control capabilities, and out-of-range alerts, make it a fully-featured product. The Chipolo One’s two-year battery life, which is commendable and improved by the option to replace the battery, adds to its appeal. This device offers technology that works simply out of the box and keeps on working until required, making it an excellent choice for practical and affordable use’

Tech Review – Chipolo Card

The Chipolo Card is a Bluetooth item tracker designed to help locate lost items, such as wallets or keys. It is touted as the thinnest Chipolo, measuring 2.55mm in thickness, and is used in conjunction with the Chipolo app. The card is made of solid hard plastic, ensuring durability when placed in a wallet. It is approximately half the size of a typical credit card and emits a loud 95 dB sound that can be activated from the paired phone to aid in locating the unit. The device has a range of up to 200 feet in line of sight and is water-resistant with an IPX5 standard. The word “Chipolo” is derived from “chip” and “colours.”

Setup and Use: The Chipolo Card is compatible with the Chipolo app for both iOS and Android. The setup process involves downloading the app, pairing the device with the phone, and enabling key features such as locating the Chipolo, range alerts, activating the ringer, and taking a selfie. The device also utilises the Limited Chipolo Community search to find the unit if marked as lost.

The device’s numerous features, including receiving notifications when an item is accidentally left behind, make it a valuable tool for preventing the loss of belongings. In summary, the Chipolo Card is a reliable item tracker that could prove to be a worthwhile investment in the event of misplaced property.

Tech Review – ANCwear wearable bluetooth speaker BT-208

The ANCwear wearable bluetooth speaker BT-208 is a portable and wearable speaker you can bring just about anywhere and clip it on anywhere too which is a neat idea if you want some sounds on the go if you do not wear earbuds. The package comes with several options to clip it on or wear on your wrist if you like, it is about the size of an egg and does not look that much out of place on the wrist, you may see joggers going around with a phone strapped to their arm and this is a similar idea and not as cumbersome to wear.

On the speaker itself there is several marked controls on it which allows you to skip and reverse tracks higher and lower the volume and play and pause you can also control calls too and use it as a mic, the buttons are nicely raised and it is simple to use with no app to install and only connect via bluetooth, you can charge it via mirco usb which is a bit behind the times but you get decent battery life out of it for its size and will last a full day easily.

This is ideal for anyone however more suited to those who are into fitness or camping,hiking or simply for a picnic or to the beach, the speaker is not going to impress but has some bass but nothing like bigger speakers out there but packs a decent enough punch for a small circle of friends to hear. It also comes with an IPX6 rating so fine for outdoors regardless. Overall it is a portable bluetooth speaker that can be used literally anywhere.

Tech Review – X/Layout X-Turbo Wrist Rest With Fan

The X/Layout X-Turbo Wrist Rest With Fan is an ideal kit for those who work long hours at home or in the office on their laptops/pc or even those who game, as is for me I just sit at my desk with no padding underneath my arms or wrists and it does get tiring and sometimes I end up with cramps so not an ideal situation for someone who sits at their computer for many hours a day.

This gadget however can help you out with this problem and change things up giving you a fresh wind blowing on your wrists and also the unit can be adjusted 30 degrees either side making it ideal to get the right comfort level for you be it for gaming or just typing.

There is one switch on the left side which controls the speed and you do get two different colours for the speed and the fan is not that noisey either, overall this for me is an ideal solution to the boring soft gel pads we see and much more comfortable all round but giving you some light effects and an extra layer of comfort and a cool breeze on your wrists,check out the video review for more.

Tech Review – Tudia Merge Grip Cases With Magsafe for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

Need some new cases for your Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra we have the Tudia Merge Grip With Magsafe cases here which is one of the first choices we go for when we get a new device and with any new device it is best to case up be it indoors or outdoors, I do often like to go with no case on the phone but strictly indoors where still it is not totally away from harms way and of course is a subjective choice, being a Tudia case user years now these cases are one of the best out there and we check out two of their new cases today.

Both cases come with dual layers and are magsafe compatible which is excellent if you are a person like me that has and iPhone and this means all thing will just get along together for both which is ideal. There is several colours and case styles on offer which you can find linked below.

Again as expected Tudia have delivered a nice solid care which is dual layered offering the best protection front back and side with additional grip to your phone, with your device placed face or rear down all is protected and will keep your device out of harms way and not forgetting the drop protection.

There is also anti slip material on the back of the case and some gripping points on the side making it more secure be it sat on a slippery surface or if you have a habit of dropping your phone. With raised edges on the camera array and the front you will be safe and it is also advisable to get a screen protector to be extra safe as a repair will be costly regardless if you have no case on board.
