The Nokia X is the first nokia device running on android,but has no play store,the device has gone on sale in some regions now but not here in Ireland as from a retail standpoint,but you can buy it sim free form various sites,there is no solid confirmation as to if and when it will arrive in Ireland,it wont be soon if it is.

The great guys over at Noreve have sent us over the Nokia Lumia Dark Vintage case for the Lumia 1520
Once again quality is simply great,to hold to touch and the smell of material is quite nice as its new.
Again on opening the package the quality and presentation is super,nicely presented box and a pouch to store the case should it not be in use.
I love the way the packaging is well designed and presented it gives that feeling of whats inside even before its open and thats quality.
With noreve all you get is quality and the choice to customise your case as always,this is an extra that if offered which is and added bonus if you like to personalise..

Onto the case now.
As you can see its a nice slate gray colour from the range noreve offer,its nicely textured and feels good in hand from all sides and its also comfortable.
The top of the case has one flap over to one side slightly different to the 1320 case we reviewed due to the position of the headphone socket,this leaves ample access to the socket on the 1520 and keeping the device protected too..
The end of the case its soft and not tough and folds easily that in mind it again leave ample space to gain access with usb or charger not giving way to snags either way so its a hassle free opening whilst again keeping the end of the device protected too..Also the speaker grille is visible and leads to no distortion of sound at all which is good,this applies to whichever way the case is faced..No sound volume is lost.
The back of the case is plain and again its a nice to hold and comfortable,it also gives plenty of space for the camera and flash,not getting in the way as some cases can do so which lead to bad pictures especially when using flash.Also at the back on top is the third microphone again no interference..
The right side of the case provides enough access to all the keys which are a typical lumia layout the case does not get in the way and it also protects the keys from getting marked or scratched there is a gap in the between the camera key and volume toggle and power key to make things easier..
On the left is mainly plain and one area free to gain access to your sim and sd card .no need to remove the case either which is a bonus and leaves ample room to swap and remove the trays…..the phone is well protected on this side mostly taken up by the case.
The case has noreve embossed on the inside and a nice texture to it,feels nice and can be easily cleaned should you manage to get dirt on it..
The 1520 fits nice and snug in the case and is not loose either the case offers great protection with a class look and feel to it,its not hard to remove the case either which is good some cases can be a bit tricky and clunky.
Overall i preferred this case over the 1320 case due to its feel,its a really nice case and is comfortable all round….
The two cases offer great protection and ease of access above is the 1320 case to the left and the 1520 case to the right.

The case ,Dark Vintage for the 1520 costs €45.75 with free shipping which is a good price..
The Nokia X which is one of the X range from Nokia is due to hit Ireland this Friday according to online retailer phonesonline.ie.
However the price is quite high compared to other pricing we have been given.Albeit new released devices do have a premium price on release this is a bit too much..even for a sim free unit.
Currently the asking price is 219 euros which is quite high compared to the average 80-120 euros which is on offer in certain regions at the current time,the nokia X+ would not even command such a price which is the highest priced nokia X model.

Today we learn there is a price from a fairly well known sim free trader phonesonline.ie.
Albeit a new phone and early adopters pay a premium price this is in fairness highly overpriced considered the average cost of the device is 70-100 euros where available now,even taking taxes and import duty into account its still too high..
At 219 euros we feel it will not sell to be fair too it maybe a guided price and would hope to see it come down,we already have several suppliers giving us almost half this price including shipping..

The nokia BH-121 is now on amazon and its averaging around 50 euros from select sellers,last December this was announced and nokia had a competition on it..
There is no sign of it in stores here in ireland yet but you can now buy it from amazon online.

Nokia lumia fans can now avail of the 1320 which is the budget version of the 1520..
O2 will be the first network to carry the 6 inch device,we have been using one a while now and we are very impressed and so will you..
