Dell’s new mouse and keyboard delivers ‘full day use’ with a 5-second charge

Dell Technologies has introduced a keyboard and mouse combo that charges in five seconds and delivers a full day of use.

The new Dell Pro 7 Rechargeable Compact Keyboard and Mouse rely on supercapacitor technology rather than traditional lithium-ion batteries.

The Dell Pro 7 Rechargeable Compact Keyboard and Mouse replace traditional lithium-ion batteries with supercapacitor technology, significantly reducing charging times while maintaining extended usage.

Part of Dell’s latest accessories portfolio, the new devices are designed to support users across Ireland with faster charging and reliable day-to-day performance.

A five-second charge provides up to a full day of use, while a full charge takes less than five minutes. Once fully charged, the keyboard delivers up to three months of use, and the mouse up to six weeks. Dell also describes the mouse as the world’s lightest non-lithium-ion rechargeable model.

The launch forms part of Dell’s broader commercial portfolio update, including new PCs, accessories and productivity tools aimed at hybrid working environments. The shift to supercapacitor technology reflects the company’s focus on alternative energy storage solutions for low-power devices.

Unlike conventional batteries, supercapacitors charge and discharge rapidly and can withstand significantly higher charge cycles, though they store less total energy. Dell notes that the lower power requirements of peripherals such as keyboards and mice make them well suited to this approach.

The Pro 7 keyboard and mouse support both Windows and Mac devices. Dell says the engineering effort focused on managing voltage drop during discharge, using efficient power management to ensure consistent performance.

Both devices follow the design principles of the wider Dell Pro 7 range, with quiet typing, comfortable key travel and a compact form factor suited to everyday use.

Dell Reimagines Commercial PCs with New Sleek and Powerful Designs

Dell Technologies introduces a transformed commercial portfolio spanning Dell Pro notebooks, Dell Pro Precision workstations, desktops, monitors and client peripherals.

Thinner, lighter, and more powerful, the new lineup brings a bold, refined design language to commercial devices—prioritizing sleeker silhouettes, premium materials and modern details that elevate everyday productivity. With advances in cooling, power efficiency and support for on-device AI, the portfolio delivers improved performance and long battery life in more portable form factors, enabling a consistent, elevated experience for everyone from frontline workers to senior executives.

Why it matters

Users want sleek, powerful devices. IT needs security, manageability, and budget discipline. Dell’s reimagined commercial portfolio delivers both. Advanced engineering—modular architecture, improved thermals, AI-ready silicon—allows thinner, lighter designs that maintain enterprise-grade performance and control. Organizations can now deploy modern hardware that professionals prefer without compromising on the standards IT demands.

Dell Pro notebooks: Thinner. Lighter. More powerful.

The all-new Dell Pro notebook lineup delivers the performance business users need for everyday productivity: running multiple applications simultaneously; real-time collaboration on video calls or whiteboards; manipulating large datasets and using AI assistants. Available with the latest Intel Core™ Ultra Series 3 and AMD Ryzen™ AI 400 processor options, users have powerful on-device AI, long battery life and Copilot+ PC experiences. Dell’s new modular design approach shrinks the motherboard to create room for larger fans and better thermals, packs more energy into smaller batteries and supports a wider range of silicon options within the same chassis. This flexibility gives organizations more configuration options within the design and faster responsiveness in a dynamic silicon market, even in supply-constrained environments. Additional Intel Core Series 3 systems will be introduced at a later date.

The Dell Pro notebooks include Dell Pro Premium, designed for executives and customer-facing managers who are frequently on-the-go. which sets a new standard for executive-class notebooks. Up to 7% thinner than the previous generation in a sleek form factor, the 14-inch laptop features a lightweight magnesium alloy chassis finished in magnetite. The Tandem OLED display option provides exceptional color and contrast, and the 8MP HDR camera offers remarkable video call quality. As the lightest Dell Pro laptop, Dell Pro Premium sets a new standard for executive-class notebooks.

Dell Pro 7 is built for consultants and sales professionals who refuse to choose between portability and capability. Combining versatility with design, these are the thinnest 13- and 14-inch commercial laptops and 2-in-1s in their class. Now up to 18% thinner than the previous generation Dell Pro 7 features an elegant aluminum chassis with the performance to handle demanding business applications. The sleek edge-to-edge Gorilla Glass touchscreen with up to 500-nit display provides a beautiful viewing experience on the 2-in-1s—whether working on a client presentation at an office or in a cramped airline seat. With premium options for an elevated experience—such as OLED displays, up to 8MP cameras and battery-saving mini-LED backlight keyboard technology—customers can customize the experience to fit their user needs.

Dell Pro 5 offers the most scalable performance in its class. Organizations can configure these systems across a selection of Intel and AMD processor options, display choices, and memory and storage configurations to match their specific workflow requirements and IT standards. Available in 14- and 16-inch sizes, Dell Pro 5 is up to 12% thinner than the previous generation and up to 21% thinner than competing designs, providing mobility for users like financial analysts and project managers, while maintaining performance needed for business-critical applications. Brighter 400- and 500-nit displays with up to OLED improve visibility in any working environment, while the large 70Wh battery delivers extended runtime for long work sessions.

Dell Pro 3 delivers reliable business computing for administrative assistants or support specialists handling core productivity tasks—email, web applications, document creation and video conferencing—at maximum value. Starting at just 2.89 pounds in 14- and 16-inch form factors, the new metallic topcoat gives a smooth and scratch-resistant finish, and sleek and tapered profile provides a modern appearance. With WWAN, Wi-Fi 7, 400- and 500-nit display options, and long battery life, Dell Pro 3 packs notable features in a highly portable device.

Dell Pro 5 Micro Desktop: Compact and Powerful

Dell Pro’s growing desktop family adds the new Dell Pro 5 Micro, delivering desktop-class performance in an ultra-compact form factor designed for space-constrained environments. With integrated Type-C connectivity up to 100W power delivery-in, the Micro can be powered directly from a USB-C monitor, such as a Dell Pro P Monitor, minimizing cord clutter. As Dell’s first Copilot+ PC mainstream desktop, it delivers 50 TOPS NPU for low-power acceleration of AI workloads and supports memory speeds up to 7200 MT/s for smoother multitasking. The rest of the Dell Pro desktop family continues to ship this year.

Dell Pro Precision Workstations: Power Meets Refinement

Dell brings back Precision—now Dell Pro Precision—with industry-leading workstations designed for professionals who demand exceptional performance. As the global leader in workstations,[xii] Dell Pro Precision continues the same design-forward thinking while delivering greater capabilities for AI workloads, complex simulations and advanced rendering.

Dell Pro Precision 5S debuts as an entry point to the family, built for power users who need more than a business notebook can provide—engineers handling light CAD modeling, content creators doing video editing and designers working in graphic applications. Starting at 3.1 pounds, it’s Dell’s thinnest and lightest workstation ever [xiii] and features a sleek three-sided aluminum design, providing a polished, robust build. Available with 14‑ and 16‑inch display options and Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 featuring integrated Intel Arc™ Pro graphics with up to 12 Xe or AMD Ryzen™ AI 400 processors with AMD Radeon™ PRO graphics, it delivers high performance for business and industry applications in an ultra‑mobile form factor. The large integrated graphics engine and shared memory complex enable additional edge inferencing capabilities for AI workloads. ISV-certified and equipped with up to 64GB of 8533MT/s LPCAMM2 memory, it offers a cost-effective price point for bringing workstation capabilities to a broader range of users..

Dell Pro Precision 5 and 7 series mobile workstations with NVIDIA RTXTM Pro Blackwell Generation GPUs, announced at GTC, deliver workstation-class power in thinner, sleeker designs for advanced creation, rendering and accelerating AI workflows. Plus, the all-new designed Dell Pro Precision 9 T2/T4/T6 desktops power the most demanding workloads—3D CAD, complex AI development and simulations—with up to 15 PCIe slots accommodating up to five NVIDIA RTXTM Pro Blackwell Generation 300W GPUs.

Across the Portfolio: Built for IT

At the core, Dell continues to offer the world’s most secure and manageable commercial AI PCs,[xiv] simplifying IT management and helping product data from evolving threats. New quantum-resistant upgrades help protect BIOS and the root of trust against future cryptographic threats, while Halcyon on-the-box now makes Dell the only commercial PCs equipped for ransomware resilience. Dell also has the widest portfolio of commercial PCs with 100% recycled cobalt batteries.

Dell Pro P Monitors and Peripherals: Designed for How People Actually Work

Most professionals do not have dedicated desks anymore. They hot-desk, work remotely and jump between conference rooms. Dell’s expanded Pro P monitors and accessories lineup are designed for that reason.

Dell Pro P 34 USB-C Hub Conferencing Monitorcertified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom, turns any workspace into a virtual meeting-ready setup. Its Sony Starvis 5MP HDR camera delivers professional-grade clarity even in low light conditions, while AI auto-framing keeps users centered on-screen. Dual beamforming AI noise cancellation microphones cut user background noise for distraction-free conversations and a mechanical privacy shutter plus Windows Hello sign-in add security.

Dell Pro P 27 USB-C Hub Monitor is for users who do not require built-in conferencing features but want reliable performance. It offers an FHD IPS panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate and supports up to four monitors daisy chained. Silent Firmware Update completes updates up to 90% faster and runs silently during idle state, eliminating reboots, alerts and any disruptions to employee productivity.

All Dell Pro P Monitors are TÜV Rheinland 4-star certified for eye comfort, made with up to 95% post-consumer recycled plastic and meet ENERGY STAR®, EPEAT Gold and latest TCO Certified Edge standards.

New peripherals complete the setup:

  • Dell Pro 5 Wired Fingerprint ESS Mouse provides advanced, hardware-level protection through Enhanced Sign-in Security (ESS) for Windows Hello authentication, making it more secure against malicious attacks. This mouse is a fast, convenient and secure alternative to long complex passwords.
  • Dell Pro 7 Slim Keyboard and Mouse are a full-size keyboard and mouse combo that deliver quiet keys, silent clicks, precise tracking and industry-leading battery life up to 48 months on the keyboard, 36 months on the mouse.[xxii]
  • Dell Pro 7 Rechargeable Compact Keyboard and Mouse combine a compact design with supercapacitor technology for exceptional battery life. A quick five-second charge delivers a day of use, while a full charge in under five minutes powers the keyboard for up to three months and the world’s lightest non-Lithium-ion rechargeable mouse for up to 1.5 months.

Together, these systems form a cohesive commercial portfolio for modern hybrid work with on-device AI.

Rob Bruckner, president, Client Solutions Group, Dell Technologies: “At CES, we showed what’s possible when consumer design and innovation come together. Today, we’re proving we can scale that same strategy across our entire commercial portfolio – and do it fast. IT leaders can deploy sleek and modern devices users actually want to use at every level of the organization, along with improved performance, without sacrificing the manageability, security or value they demand.”

Pat Moorhead, CEO, founder and chief analyst, Moorhead Insights & Strategy “Enterprise buyers are navigating a major PC refresh cycle with rising demands for security, manageability and workload flexibility. As CIOs prioritize long-term value, they are focusing on systems that align to specific workloads, offer silicon choice and can be deployed consistently across distributed environments. Supply chain volatility and longer planning cycles are also driving interest in platforms that reduce procurement risk while maintaining standardization. Dell’s engineering and design updates across its commercial PC portfolio deliver on these dynamics, combining multiple silicon options with enterprise-grade security and manageability to give buyers greater flexibility as they plan and standardize their endpoint environments.”

CANYON RGB Wireless Keyboard Review (HKB-W11)

The HKB-W11 Wireless Keyboard is designed for those who want more from their setup. With dual connectivity, switch effortlessly between 2.4GHz wireless and two BT channels.

The Canyon HKB-W11 is a slim, full-sized wireless keyboard that punches significantly above its weight class, particularly for users who split their time between multiple devices. It positions itself as a budget-friendly alternative to premium low-profile decks like the Logitech MX Keys or the Microsoft Surface Keyboard.

The first thing you’ll notice is the ultra-slim profile. Despite its 19mm thickness, the ABS plastic body feels surprisingly rigid. It features a fixed ergonomic tilt—there are no adjustable feet, but the “wedge” shape provides a natural typing angle for most. I am no keyboard expert but for me typing is great the keys travel well with a 2mm distance and are tactile and could be a daily keyboard for me.

The HKB-W11 uses scissor-switch mechanisms, the same tech found in high-end laptops so for most this will be fine

The CANYON  HKB-W11 shines. It offers Triple Connectivity:

  1. 2.4GHz Wireless: Via a magnetic USB-A dongle (stored on the bottom).

  2. Dual Bluetooth Channels: Allowing you to pair with a tablet and a phone simultaneously.

Overall this is a great keyboard to use and looks good at any desk even if you are not the PC gamer type and with superb battery life and multiple connectivity options

Product Features:

  • Dual Connection: 2.4GHz & BT channel*2
  • 113 Buttons & 10 Million clicks
  • RGB backlight; 7 Backlight colours
  • Key Illumination
  • Compatibility: Win/MAC/ISO phone/android phone
  • Rechargeable: Built-In Li-Pol 1600 mAh Battery
  • Material: ABS
  • Charge cable: 1m (PVC)
  • Electronic life cycle: 10000000 Cycles
  • Maximum peak current capacity: 1600 mAh

Canyon Silent Wireless Keyboard HKB‑W01 & Silent Wireless Mouse MW‑12 Review

Canyon’s latest wireless combo aims to quietly tidy up your desk while keeping things simple and affordable, rather than trying to be “the best ever” in any category.

Design and build

The HKB‑W01 is a classic full‑size 104‑key membrane keyboard with an ultra‑slim profile, available in beige, baby blue, and pink, so it will suit both a neutral office setup and more playful desks. The mouse weighs in at around 65 g, is compact without feeling cramped, and both devices look clean and understated rather than “gamer”‑focused. Packaging is tidy and includes a biodegradable protective cover, plus branded Canyon batteries in the box, which is a nice touch for a budget‑friendly kit.

Features and connectivity

The keyboard uses 2.4 GHz wireless with a quoted range of up to 10 m and is compatible with Windows and macOS. It’s a membrane board with “silent” keys, advertised as up to 90% quieter than a typical keyboard; while I can’t verify that figure precisely, it is noticeably softer and less clacky in daily use. The wireless dongle has a dedicated storage slot in the keyboard, handy for travel or hot‑desking.

The MW‑12 mouse offers dual‑mode connectivity: 2.4 GHz wireless via dongle or Bluetooth, so you can free up a USB port on a laptop if you prefer. Pairing over Bluetooth is straightforward (hold the button for a few seconds to enter pairing mode), and switching between modes is quick. It uses an optical sensor up to 2400 DPI with four steps (800/1200/1600/2400), which is fine for office work and light gaming, and it maintains a stable connection in the 8–10 m range.

Everyday use

In real‑world use, both devices behaved as expected: plug‑and‑play over 2.4 GHz, no driver drama, and reliable reconnection after sleep. The “silent” aspect is where they stand out most: during calls and meetings the reduced key and click noise is genuinely useful, especially in shared offices, hot‑desking environments, or quiet rooms. It won’t make you completely silent, but it’s enough that people are less likely to comment on your typing or clicking.

The mouse’s six buttons and light weight make it comfortable for long sessions, with clicks that feel soft but not mushy. The quoted 3‑million‑click lifespan is mid‑range rather than extreme, but still adequate for normal productivity use. Battery life will depend on your usage pattern, but having branded batteries included and a single AA/AAA setup keeps things simple.

Ecosystem and brand notes

Canyon is a Netherlands‑based brand that has been around since 2003, better known for value‑oriented PC peripherals like mice, keyboards, headsets and combo sets, along with a broad accessory catalogue covering bags, audio gear, gaming chairs and mats, phone and car accessories, power banks, wireless chargers, and a Hexagon line of smartwatches and charging stations. This kit sits firmly in that “affordable, practical, no‑nonsense” space rather than competing with premium mechanical boards or high‑end gaming mice.

Warranty and verdict

Both the HKB‑W01 and MW‑12 come with a standard 2‑year warranty, so you’re covered for typical manufacturing faults over a reasonable period.

Overall, this is a straightforward, cord‑free keyboard and mouse combo that does exactly what it says on the tin: reduce noise, cut cable clutter, and offer flexible wireless connectivity. It won’t impress mechanical‑keyboard enthusiasts or competitive gamers, but if you work in shared spaces, jump between meetings, and just need a quiet, reliable setup with minimal fuss, this pair is easy to recommend at the right price without overselling them as something they’re not.

STEALTH light-up gaming keyboard and mouse review

The STEALTH Light-Up Gaming Keyboard and Mouse set is a solid entry point for gamers looking for maximum visual appeal on a budget. This is a wired set not wireless so keep that in mind but it delivers vibrant RGB lighting and responsive gaming features like anti-ghosting keys and adjustable mouse sensitivity.

Me perosnally not a huge gamer on PC I have tested some keyboards of late and you will see the reviews here soon but I now see what I have been missing out on having test this and a wireless option side by side with out the numbers and mouse so I have seen what the differences are like comparing to the flat keys I am used to now on my laptops.

In the old days I was fan of these types of keyboards even until recently and now I miss  them and can see myself movng back to them now wired or non wired, this simply set just simply plugs in and works which is excellent and no messing about.

The keys are tactile travel well and smooth with no much noise either and there is an array of fucntions to change the settings as seen below, I am no keyboard expert but as far as using it it works fine for all my needs and anyone use to these keyboards will be impressed especially with the RGB lights and other functions the mouse is the same it fits naturally into the hand and works a treat I have again tested many over the years and for a wired option it was a joy to use.

If you want bright, eye-catching RGB, this keyboard delivers. It perfectly sets a gaming mood, the keyboard might not be for all however I said same and as mentioned tested a few of late I now love them again, the keys are not noisey or have that loud thock I remember from days of old it is more a smoother experience  it includes essential gaming features like anti-ghosting. This means you can press several keys at once (crucial for executing complex in-game commands or combos) without missing a single input.

The 4 button mouse features animated RGB lighting that complements the keyboard’s aesthetic. Its ergonomic design is excellent and comfortable to use for hours. The mouse is highly responsive and smooth, gliding well over most surfaces, which is a major positive. You have adjustable DPI (sensitivity), allowing you to switch between high precision (for aiming) and fast movement (for general navigation) on the fly and the scroll wheel works a treat.

Check the video below for more and if you are a parent stuck for an xmas present that also wont rob your time this is one to look at as no set-up is required.

CHERRY KW 300W MX mechanical wireless keyboard review

The CHERRY KW 300W MX  is a standout entry in the competitive wireless mechanical keyboard market. It merges CHERRY’s legendary switch quality with modern features like hot-swappability, multi-device connectivity, and, most notably, a focus on quiet operation.

The KW 300W MX employs a QWERTY keyboard layout ditching the Numpad for a more ergonomic setup that keeps your mouse closer to your hands. This space-saving design is immediately appreciated on crowded desks.

PBT Keycaps: The keyboard uses high-quality, double-shot PBT keycaps. Unlike standard ABS plastic, PBT is highly resistant to shine and wear, ensuring the keys maintain their textured feel and the legends remain crisp even after extensive use.

Aesthetics: The design is minimalist and professional, often featuring a subtle black/copper/grey color scheme. It includes dimmable white LED backlighting, which is functional for low-light conditions without being distracting or overly flashy but look really cool in my opinion. There is a small, convenient control dial is included for intuitive adjustment of volume, brightness, or channel switching.

At the heart of the KW 300W MX is the German-engineered CHERRY MX2A switch. These updated switches are known for smoother keystrokes, improved acoustics, and exceptional durability, boasting a lifespan of 100 million keystrokes. and can be swapped out with the tool provided in the box.

The keyboard is built for flexibility, supporting both wired and wireless connections.

Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.2 and supports up to four devices simultaneously. Dedicated keys (usually F1-F4) allow for seamless switching between your PC, tablet, and phone, making it an excellent tool for multitasking across platforms. It also supports wired operation via the included USB-C cable, which doubles as the charging port. It was tested using two laptops and a mobile phone via the seperate channels and no issues with connectivity noted. YOU will be asked to enter a password on the keyboard for all devices connected with bluetooth.

The CHERRY KW 300W MX is an exceptional keyboard for anyone seeking the tactile and responsive feel of a mechanical keyboard without the accompanying noise. It’s a premium, durable, and flexible choice for professionals, writers, and programmers who value a clean workspace and a high-quality typing experience.

Features

  • ORIGINAL CHERRY MX2A SWITCHES The KW 300 MX is equipped with CHERRY MX2A keys, which are characterized by particularly good sliding properties and improved acoustics. The result is a super-soft touch with an extremely long service life of up to 100 million strokes per key (depending on the switch type) and unbeatable precision.
  • PERFECT ACOUSTICS The inside of the housing is damped with several layers of foam. In combination with the lubricated MX2A switches and the high-quality PBT key caps, this results in whisper-quiet noise when typing. Entries are acknowledged with a subtle “thock” sound.
  • HOT-SWAP SOCKETS The individual switches can be easily removed with the enclosed tool and replaced with other MX switches of your choice. Simply insert the new buttons into the special hot-swap sockets and you’re done. No soldering or screws are required: just snap into place.
  • RECHARGEABLE BATTERY The built-in lithium-ion battery can be recharged using the a USB-C cable. A full charge is sufficient for several weeks of undisturbed work depending on the selected lighting intensity and personal habits. For example, the battery lasts for about six weeks with the lighting off, and about one week with the LEDs on.
